So, as the title suggusts, I had an Idea, that act in and of itself alone is worthy of celebration.

Anyways, Its about a Pirate from days gone by, before everyone was big and powerful, a Captain by the name of Captain Novae.

Its the tale of his legacy he left behind, The Treasure of Om.

See, his story is like this:

How much of this is true, and how much is story, No one knows.

Captain Novae was a feared Pirate that came from the dark reaches of space where no one dared to go. His weapons were said to be strong enough to destroy entire fleeets of ships without effort. His shields were said to be strong enough to repel even the greatest assault.


What is known, is that he held ransom, the safety and existence of many worlds, and took from them, many treasures. He hid them all on a world known only as Om.

Even with his treasure he continued to attack fleets and spread fear.

Until one day, the very same worlds he controlled through fear, conspired to join their greatest minds, to find a way to destroy him.

Years they researched, and eventually, they built a weapon known only as The Quantum Bomb, a weapon it was said, was so strong as to be able to destroy an entire Star System.

The worlds gathered the reminants of their army, and sent them after the captain and his fleet of ships.

A great battle ensued, of which, no record remains, only one thing is known, Captain Novae was destroyed, and a single ship limped back home.

The Quantum Bomb was never used, and it seems, it was lost.

Many tried searching for the treasure, but no one ever found the world of Om. So, the worlds, and the story of Captain Novae, faded to legend, though from time to time, Reports occasionally filter in of "ghost sightings", a battered and transparent Fleet of Pirate ships, all bearing the mark of Captain Novae. Seen one second, gone the next.

This brings us to the RP, in the present time, many years after Captain Novae.

A Ri-anese trading fleet gets caught by the Ghost fleet, and decimated in seconds, their entire Cargo taken.

They manage to send only one message, undirected.

"Novae has returned."

This is where everyone else jumps in.

Pirates, bounty hunters, government agents, it doesn't matter, people jump in, and rescue the few survivors, who tell of the legend, and the treasure, sparking a race for Novae's lost world of Om, and the treasure he hid there.

And finally, only a few rules.

these will only concern you at certain points, as you get closer to Om.
1) I will be The Ghost Fleet of Captain Novae.
2) True to the stories, my weapons are unbelievably strong, and my shields are nearly impossible to beat, But please note, you can defend against my weapons and you can beat my shields, just, not right away.
3) I have a nearly infinite Ghost army that can be easily destroyed.
4) There will be no attacking Ri-an, if you do, Captain Novae will attack you.
5) I will not destroy anyone unless their close to Om, or on Om.
6) There are no more rules.

The Ministry's response to the rumour of Novae's return was ecstatic. This could be the fading Commonwealth's last hope at rebuilding their shattered economy.

By macro-economic means, this outlandish attempt at securing a stable future stimulated the economy - a nation-wide unanimous decision to utilize whatever resources that had previously been squabbled over for this effort was made, and the massed of the Commonwealth's unemployed suddenly found themselves satisfied.

By no means was the Malasrionese Commonwealth's fleet something to be commended. The remains of The Ministry's long-abolished military fleet existed of aging licensed Zeppelin Manufacturer clones, their computer systems erased and the hardware under heavy monitoring - the Malasrionese war with the Artificially Sentient had left its mark on their society.

The Commander Himself was inaugurated by the Malasrionese Ministry, the entire Commonwealth System watching their new symbol of hope state an oath never professed before.

This was a preliminary fleet - almost sacrificial - entire cruisers were dismantled for the manufacture of heavy shuttles with absurdly large hyper-propulsion engines, designed for charting and observation.

The Captain
Captain Rob Pulson pilots the revolutionary expiremental (and stolen) Lightwave frigate Eve, the most powerful ship to come out of Ravean space as of yet.

The Ship
Eve is a monsterously poweful vessel, saving itself the need for an actual crew by utilizing a high-powered A.I. of the same name. Eve is defended by heavy energy-absorbing shields, armed to the teeth, blindingly fast, and partly organic; the ship is self-regenative to a point.

Eve is exceptionally well armed; it's incredibly compact weapons system includes a large variety of missles, a pair of elecromagnetic cannons, a large railgun, retractable laser turrets, torpedoes, mines, and an ion ram. A special shield made up of different types of plasma-called an Aura-and protects Eve from most kinds of energy weapons, absorbing and redirecting any noteworth plasma blasts or electric currents. The frigate's speed and missle interception system is usually enough to avoid damage from explosive or solid-shell weapons.

The Crew
Eve is fully automated, and can easily handle traditional manned jobs. The only humans on the frigate are Pulson and a close friend of his, a mysterious assassian and fellow bounty hunter named Nexlon.

The Treasure of Om
I have two guesses:The first is the most obvious one. The Treasure could just be the planet itself, loaded down with the vast amount of wealth accumulated by Novae. The second guess involves the Treasure being some sort of portal do a different world or demension.

See, part of the fun comes in to competition between players to get to Om first, alive. If neccessary, I'll throw in a fleet, but I'll leave this open awhile longer, making the IC thread tuesday, to allow for everyone to have a chance to see this and sign up if their of a mind. If you know anyone who might be intrested, let them know.

I ask about the treasure, because I know things that are definatly there, but I'm also getting ideas for things that could be there.

There is a hyperpowered weapon, provided I don't use it first, The Quantum Bomb.

There is a ridiculously huge amount of treasure of all kinds.

And surprisingly enough Ravea hit the nail on the head, there is such a portal, in the great Temple of Om, but that's not actually a part of this, but the fact remains its still there.

The name of the Fleet: Xixtah's Formidible Light On He Who Speaks Of No Name
Fleet Size: XFLOHWSON encompasses 4 Zigguarauts (http://www.warcraft3.sk/pics/info/necropolis.jpg), which house around 800 Hordians and 1 priest each. The Zigguarauts have no defenses, they merely house the Horidans. So, to not have a godmod called, let me describe the Hordians. Hordians are actually spirits from the Dreamworld, a dimension held withen our psyche. A priest can shift the forms of up to 300 Hordians per 4 hours, and this form can basically be anything. They are extradimensional creatures and can phase directly into a ship to fight it's crew.

What do you think the Treasure of Om is? XFLOWHSON believes the treasure is the infamous treasure of C'nyguliti, and will give them the power to create entire worlds...which they will feast on, remake, feast on, remake....

FIRE! FIRE!!

A barrage of ion cannon fire spewed out from the deck of the Lucky Seven and concentrated on the engine block of a hapless trading vessel that had strayed too far from protected space.

The Lucky Seven adjusted it's solar sails and came around for another barrage. The deck of this Guildcraft Starsailor was marked with a red diamond. The mark of Captain Ace Redcraft.

The trading craft took another barrage and the lights on board flickered dim and it's engine fell quite as it began to drift.

The bottom of the sailing ship opened up above the trader and men in exosuits jumped aboard and began cutting the cargo free. Tractor beams aboard the Seven pulled the cargo into it's eager bay.

Captain Redcraft paced the bridge, looking at his chronometer. "HURRY UP! We've got 2 minutes to slip out before the patrols start showing up! MOVE! MOVE! MOVE!

The work was completed soon after. With the loot safe aboard, the solar sails collapsed inward in preperation for slipstream.

At the front of the ship, a spear-like shape lit up the starscape and fired. The beam ripped a hole in time-space, creating a worm-hole which the Lucky Seven slipped through.

And in a flash, the hole burned out, and there was nothing more.

CAPTIAN:

Ace Redcraft: A daring risk taker who drives his crew hard. He is charasmatic, a charmer, and is rumored to have stolen many a princess from her castle.

THE SHIP:

The Lucky Seven is a Guildcraft Starsailor that looks very much like the seafaring vessels of old. A superfrigate, it is armed with ion cannons, missle tubes, and a slicer. A device that is used to cut a small hole in spacetime that can be used to enter slipstream.

THE GUILD:
The Exiled have no homeworld. There is no government per se, but the Guilds act as the government. There are several, (Trade Guild, Shipwright Guild, and of course, the Pirate Guild which Ace is a part of)

THE TREASURE:

Ace isn't sure, but Ace really doesn't care. The Guild seeks treasure of all kind to support the Greater Guild. Ace tends to belive it is an item, which he could then sell to the highest bidder if he could not find a use for the item.

All right, if Malasrion updates with his info OR we get a fifth player with info, I'll start the thread tomorrow. :D

One final Bump, and, I changed my mind, regardless of overnight activity, this things's getting started tomorrow, on monday. I will of course post the IC link here, and TG the link to everyone.

Almost all of Malasrion's unemployed, who have been trained to maintain and operate their shuttles - whatever was left of Malasrion's space-navy operated the armour carriers.
