This is the situation in America so far as of the year 2056:
America has lost the War on Terror
Due to a new trend of terrorist attacks still occurring today, the economy is in shambles
75% of the population is below the poverty line, while 45% are unemployed
Russia and Japan have seized this opportunity by taking Alaska and Hawaii
Congress has become an ineffective branch of the government, and is now made of extremely wealthy individuals who do little to help fix the nation
Separatist forces are rampant throughout the Country
The United States is held together by sheer military force
Only 9% of all Americans are patriotic and 100% say that their government cannot rebuild America

What is to be done now? Well, that’s where you come in. In the year of 2056, America is about to have another election where politicians must compete for control of the country and pull this once glorious nation up from its feet and towards a new tomorrow, or send it further into chaos.

Once you have made your candidates, just place them here. Once there are at least three people signed on, a thread will pop up where you will get to do political advertising. Eventually a debate between them all will take place. After the debate, a poll will come up that will represent the election results of the country that will be open to all viewers and rper’s.

Candidates:
President William Graham of the Conservative Party
Jacob Cross of the Democratic Socialist Party
Edward John Harold III

Ideas of the Candidates:
President William Graham of the Conservative Party
Current President of the U.S.A. who believes that America should continue on its current course of “recovery” to fix America. (Not meant to win the election)

Jacob Cross of the Democratic Socialist Party
Believes that military force must be used wisely and sparingly to regain control of seperatist territories. He also stands on the idea that the economy must be rebuilt through cooperation and tough work.

Edward John Harold III
Believes that America must be fixed by creating a new constitution by giving power back in the hands of more capable leaders willing to make sacrifices.

Edward John Harold III

This candidate refuses to aknowledge the authority of any existing American Government. He runs on a ticket based upon a new constitution, which reverts most major points of the current governmental structure back to their most basic forms just after the federal government was created, returning society to a "Libertarian" form in which the daily affairs of government have almost nothing to do with the daily affairs of people.

His campaign is conducted in a simple fashion, he travels and speaks in person, though each time is different, the sum of his words can be as follows:

"We were a great nation once upon a time, because when our nation was founded, it had great men behind it. We were once ruled by philosophers and scholars, the best of men who aknowledged a need for the sacrifice of their time, resources, and very lives in the name of the most important cause of all, freedom. Preserving our freedom was what our constitution was meant to do, but instead, corrupt forces within the government reshaped the document over history to serve their purposes, turning the government that was to be the shepard of the people into little more than a greedy landlord. These corrupt fools masqueraded as leaders, but they were only actors, handsome and smooth spoken for the television doped masses. The time has come again for sacrifices to be made, time for real leaders to rise and take back everything that was taken from us, time for a new freedom to be born. Join me, give me your vote, give me your life, and I promise the first thing I do after receiving it, is give it right back to you."

No debate, no politics, no muck-racking or discussion, just a simple message, what he considers the simple truth.

So... should I say your candidate is a Libertarian or an Independent?... Or how should I list him?

OOC: I'm assuming the Republican and Democratic parties have switched idealogies? Because Republicans are for military, not against it.

They're still in power and changed some of their idealogies, but I haven't mentioned Democrats or Republicans anywhere, just the Conservative Party (Or does that count?).
