Another WWIII RP

This is my version of a WWIII RP: The year is 2029.As a result of many years of far too uneven trade with the Americans, China has grown rich enough to the point where it no longer needs private industry, and it's military muscle is neck and neck with the USA. The go back to strict communism, and converts Russia (after they realize capitalism just doesn't work for them) and the other soviets, plus the middle east excluding Iraq and Israel) and form "The New Soviet Union". And then the combined forces unites most of Africa under communism. Russia turns its sights to Europe and beyond, and hungry China keeps glancing over at Japan, Taiwan, Asia, and eventually-the Americas. Now the rest of the experiment is up to you. You sign up for a nation and decide what they'll fight for. Once all the positions are filled I'll make another thread for the actual RPing.

I'll play Venezuela or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, do you have any sort of preference on which one?

A'ight. I'll play Congo-Kinshasa then.

What's Happened:

In 2007, with no end in sight to the civil war, and with corruption and suppression of opposition to President Joseph Kabila still prevalent, dissatisfied elements of the Congolese military stage a coup d’État against him, backed by a substantial portion of the people of Kinshasa. UN Peacekeepers and loyalist military units are unable to hold back the protest/coup, and Kabila is, as the dark horse politician leading the coup Iris Sabrine Tshitenge said, "forcibly impeached." Tshitenge takes over as the 5th president of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The extremely small party lead by Tshitenge, le Parti Populaire Démocratique Congolais (Congolese Popular Democratic Party) suddenly rocketed to sole legal party status in the country. Tshitenge institutes a harsh, authoritarian socialistic rule of the country. Tshitenge reaches out to China and the new Soviet Union, and, using more than questionable methods, crushes the rebel groups in the East. By the end of 2011, the last remnants deadliest conflict since WWII had been ended, albeit in the harshest way possible. Once the civil war was dealt with, Tshitenge's largest excesses stopped, although harsh silencing of political opponents and brutal methods of curbing corruption continued in the country.
Tshitenge allowed free elections nine years later, on October 1st, 2020. However, the "freeness" of these elections was more than questionable. The PPDC continued its domination of the country, with Tshitenge as President. A new constitution was drafted up, similar to the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela in 2025. This constitution limited any president to two six-year terms, but since this was not retroactive, Tshitenge's current term didn't count. She was reelected yet again in 2026.
The DRC is currently neutral in the war, however, it continues to voice its support for China/the USSR.

Current President: Iris Sabrine Tshitenge
Current Prime Minister: Isidore Sakanyi
Current Party in Power: Congolese Popular Democratic Party

@ Laquasa Isle: If you're wondering what Congo-Kinshasa is, it's just another way to say Democratic Republic of the Congo.
