The Starchaser, a sturdy old vessel whose appearance was simular to the ships that once sailed the ocean seas. Solarsails unfurled, the ship drifted silently along the cosmos almost peacefully.

But things were not at all peaceful aboard the Starchaser. Below decks, they were getting ready for a raid. The May Bell, a tradership, was scheduled to come out of the worm hole any moment now. The Guild always managed to provide top-notch information.

And sure enough, the worm hole opened and out came the Mary Bell

"There she is boys! Fire the cannon!", came the order from Captain Drake Stone. A swashbuckling figure, his sky blue eyes peered out at the target.

A blinding blue blot of engery came from The Starchaser. The ion cannon hit the poor vessel, electrical shockwaves going though the hull. The small tradercraft began to spin, it's stabalizers knocked out by the blast.

"Attention Mary Bell, this is Captain Drake Stone of The Starchaser! Surrender your cargo now or prepared to be boarded!"

This RP takes place in the pages between the great FT wars. In a time of strife, piracy thrives. This is the tale of The Starchaser. It's a pirates tale, and so any massive aramadas chasing down one little cutter is out of the question. However, if you'd like to take place in a swashbuckling tale sign up here.

FYI: The Nomadic People of TheExiled are a space faring race that live aboard spacecraft having no homeworld. They make thier living mostly by trade, some by shipbuilding, and a few by being pirates. As time goes on, you'll see more of those elements come out in the story, but not for awhile I imagine. You won't see The Starchaser getting massive reinforcements.

OCC: The ships used by TheExiled are very unique to the current FT world, however they look and have a very familar feel to them

These ships look like the sailing vessels of old. They are simular in size to most trading vessels and supply ships, and smaller than most capital ships. The exception to this is the ARK class and the BULWARK class.

The most striking feature of the Guildcraft ship are the solar sails. Most ships boast 3 sail structures that harness the solar wind for energy and propulsion. The ship can travel without sails, but Captains prefer to sail the ship as it allows for a minimum energy requirment.

On the front of the ship is a long dagger-like shape. This is the Ion Cannon. The Ion Cannon sends an arc of high voltage electrical energy throughout the target ship with the purpose of disabling it. The Cannon is supplemented by Railgun Cannons on the ships port and starboard sides. Lastly, most Guildcraft ships utilize any number of missile tubes.

The rear of the ship holds the ships main engines, twin-core powerplants, and the bridge. The bottom of the ship opens up for the cargo hold and small hangar.
