Alif Laam Miim

Instituted by the Emir Jalal ibn Abbas ibn Mahmud Abd Allah Al Misri as an Order dedicated first and foremost to the preservation of the sanctity of life, and secondly to the welfare and concern for the people of the world, regardless of their true beliefs or their human condition - the Order of the Crescent is a Royal Organization of the Emirate of Alif Laam Miim, which seeks to recognize those people who have made an outstanding impression to preserve peace and harmony with the world. Taking its ideals from the preachings of the Quran, the Order of the Crescent does not discriminate against peoples of other faiths as while their faiths may be different, the universality of religious concepts ought not to be ignored when any person demonstrates righteousness worthy for any Muslim. The Order of the Cresent also does not discriminate against any foreign person, as we feel that the pursuit for global harmony and prosperity is not a national quest, but rather one for the world to share.
As is the tradition, only the Emir in person can confer the titles warranted by the Order of the Crescent, and only he may remove it if such a person is thence found unworthy of his or her titles. The Order of the Cresent represents thus the recognition of a person's achievements - in life and in death - to bring these objectives to front, and it is thus only the Emir's recognition of such actions.
