"Good evening everyone I'm Joy Albertson thanks for joining us, the fragile tranquility of the colony of Truce Island was shatterd last night as the Meta Group Milita resumed their extermination of the Sisioux Group that was halted by military intervention nearly two years ago, since the extermination was halted the colony was signed into a protected agreement with the Republic of Kanami and it has since been violated with an unknown presence. According to Prime Minister Romney the contiuned extermination is a result of Stevid's military presence, and they have sufficent evidence to back that up. Lets turn to our field Reporter Lee Erickson who has been on Truce Island since the madness unfolded. Lee."

"Thanks Joy, I am still on truce as I reported earlier all hell has truly broken lose, since my last broad cast I have seen more than I ever saw during the Hanover War, I've seen children murdered in almost any form possible, and it breaks my heart to sit and watch. Now as many of you recall I captured shocking footage of an interview with one of the Meta Leaders, who gave his reasons for doing this:

"Our freinds returned, Kanami has no power over this island anymore. It's now back in the Soviets power and we are finishing what he have started."


"Now the Soviets haven't returned but it was a Stevid Ship me and my Camera Crew captured footage of the ship and we made a posotive Id, that was infact a Stevid ship so this is clearly a horrorfic case of mistaken Identity, however the Meta doesn't know and doesn't care, they belive their freinds have returned and now they want to finish the job they started years back, Joy"

"Hard to say, Kanami is certianlly holding both parties responsible for not heading their warnings, and even though the Hanover Treaty states this tertory is restricted and Kanami has, H2 didn't do much to get Stevid out. There is no real reason for Stevid to be there, Stevid has mentiond before it has no intrest with thoes islands so all of a sudden they get intrested and do a survey? Sounds very conspicious to me and the Administration."

"Stevid told they were there for surveying purposes."

"Right. And Stevid declared them sovering as well, so that means Stevid could not take the islands and get away with it. H2 Declared they belong to no-one, even though they are protected by Kanami, so the weight falls on them."

"Do you think GDI and Stevid will accept responsibility?"

"They won't. I can tell you now they will make every excuse, even though it is their fault the evidence dictates that, they won't take responsibility."

Today has been one of intense pressure for the Stevidian Government as it tries to remain calm after reeling in the aftermath of reports of genocide on the uncharted island known as ‘Truce Island’. The genocide comes after months of squabbling between the GDI, Stevid and Independent Hitmen against Kanami and the collection of islands she claims to protect.

The genocide is reported to have occurred yesterday afternoon after forces belonging to a communist sleeper cell mistook a Stevidian Royal Navy frigate for an allied Communist vessel. This communist militia pulled a coup d’etat and subsequently killed hundreds of civilians on the island who did not follow the communist cause that the rebels do. Woman and children were not spared by the ruthless militia and were also targeted, reports from Truce Island suggest that view have survived this holocaust. Kanami television openly displayed the scenes of violence but has been censored by SIN because of the disturbing and graphic content.

Kanami has blamed Stevid for their presence in the region and declared that the presence caused civil unrest in the region. The Stevid government has defended the moves taken by the Royal Navy and the frigate HMS Nala and continues to stress the faults of the islanders themselves and Kanami should not be so quickly heaped on to the shoulders of Stevid. While the government admits that the proximity of the HMS Nala may have contributed to the spark in violence, the vessel did not alone start this horror. The combined insolence and ignorance from the islanders and the unwillingness from the Kanami government to try and stabilise the region led to the appearance of Communist rebels and the eventual coup d’etat.

The Frigate HMS Nala is a Type-23 Duke Class Frigate and is brand new off the production line. She entered service only two weeks ago and is stationed at Hanover for peacekeeping duties. The Admiralty stress to the government and to the public that they ordered the Nala to its current location to begin sensor sweeps and geographical surveys of the local regional islands. While such information may well be denied by the Kanami government, the Admiralty has actually hosted the actual dispatches sent to the HMS Nala proving that she was there for peaceful purposes and not for hostile intent. She has been the centre of attention these past few days and has played a major role in the things that have unravelled in the Hanover Region so far.

She has also come into contact with one of Kanami’s finest vessels the KSS Yasashii that had once been met before by the Royal Navy during the Kurona Storm Crisis. The two did not fire on one another but it is said that both are on high alert around each other.

Kanami blames the Nala and her presence as the direct cause for this mess, the government produced a statement criticising Kanami for there international policies. Kanami claims to protect the regional island like Truce Island bound by a protectorate pact that allows Kanami shipping and aircraft to enter the territorial waters and airspace surrounding member islands. Kanami failed to protect Truce Island from a coup d’etat nor did they even try and prevent the local militia on another island from firing on the HMS Nala. The Nala retreated away from the island instead of taking damage but has stressed that the local islands have been very unfriendly towards Stevid. The Stevidian Government is now on the counter-attack and claims that Kanami has used anti-Stevid and anti-GDI propaganda to influence the islands and their foreign policy- a direct violation of their sovereignty. The government continues to stress that Kanami, seeing as the failed to hold up their end of the defence pact with the islands, are blaming their failings on Stevid, the second most likely suspect after Kanami. Exchanges between the two country’s leaders have been virtually non-existent but minor talks have begun. The stance of close ally Independent Hitmen and regional ally Hotdogs2 has yet to be formally decided upon but judging on the actions taken they are clearly against Kanami.

Kanami has also made reference to the Hanover Treaty and Peace Accords claiming, without proof or evidence, that Stevid is in violation of some of the terms. The Government has again criticised the Kanami government for influencing the truth from the public. The HMS Nala was in international and has remained there since this crisis began and does not violate any terms in there. Kanami pushed that Stevid was in violation of the term that stated “Neither side should present military units within ten miles of each other’s territory”. Again the Government has stated that the islands are under a defence pact by Kanami and not under Kanami government or military control, thus the islands are not Kanami territory and to not fall under the Hanover treaty unless their waters were intruded upon by the Nala- fact that is irrelevant since the Nala has always remained in international waters.

While the Kanami Government has some justification in its accusations, they do not carry nearly enough evidence to propel the accusations in to charging Stevid with civil unrest and causing the genocide on the island. A tragic mistaken identity of the HMS Nala led to the genocide and is not a valid accusation to fully accuse Stevid of causing this horrific ordeal. While the Stevid Government has openly mourned the deaths of innocents and condemned the acts taken by the communist militia on Truce Island, Stevid will not directly interfere with a sovereign nation’s internal affairs. To do so would be totally hypocritical of the Stevidian Government seeing as they resent Kanami for interfering with the deportation of religious groups nearly two years ago.

Cut to live reporter in the Hanover Island Chain capital town, the government house in the background and the Stevidian flag flying high behind the reporter.

It seems this crisis may indeed turn out to become a very hot one in which the Hanover Conflict may restart but would revolve around this new chain of islands instead of the North Hanover Island Chain Dependency. Still abiding with the treaty both sides have limited there military activity but if things continue as they are then Stevid and her allies may well turn up in brute force to physically remove Kanami from the region under a Stevidian flag.

"Well you have to remember these islands aren't modern and upto date, they don't have Internet they don't have phones or even elctricity. They are very poor which is why they aren't recognized as states they are only organized by malitas and self determined people. And reminder it wasn't Kanami's job to mess with the internal affairs of these islands, the pact so stated Kanami was there as a international protector, we are an army not a police force, were trained to kill not police. That's what these governments agreed to and they did a fine job however it isn't easy to keep track of every single person when you have the economy of 100 low income famlies."

"This sleeper cell of the Meta Communits Group clearly they had been wating for this for a long time and that is why they acted so quickly?"

"Right, the Meta's thought that the Soviets would return and break the pact and they would have the authority to kill who they pleased again. Since the last Genocide ended the Sisux group has very much respawned and doubled, so they felt they had a lot of work to do."

"Is it true many are planing to file Civil Suite?"

"Very likely, but I'm not sure."
