Well, that's certainly true of the CA, as they were created by Blackhelm when he got tired of getting his ass handed to him because he invaded GASN territories, but the GASN was there long before the CA.

Actually, any ship that takes these two incompatible roles is going to, for lack of other terms, suck at both.

The Navy can't bring Iowas back into service because recoil vibrations disrupt complex electronics required today. They just can't communicate efficiently.

Battleships avoid firing when anyone is at the deck (or rather crew avoids being on deck, but that doesn't matter), and the firing can break bridge glass under some gun positions. Things on the deck also somewhat reduce the point of having armor, since they will be destroyed by any hit, and the ship is going to be rendered useless in carrier role, if lucky enough not to torch.

Multiply the electronics tens of times or more since this is a carrier, and fill all the deck with planes which will preclude the gun from shooting (unless you make the flight deck completely separate, in which case two separate ships will be better and cheaper), and which will disable the ship if it is hit by anything, and you've got the picture. The guns which can't shoot, the planes which have no guidance due to poor electronics, the armor which can't help except for sinking.

I only want to say that less than 48 hours before Clandonia Prime made his new thread, I informed him I didn't want to role-play with him. I've fought 3 wars with him already, and they all were OOC debacles (just like every other was CP has been in).

It is my opinion that he is a poor role-player. Clandonia Prime frequently uses OOC info IC, godmods, wields a military far greater than he can afford, and practically ignored the 32 nukes he took. He has also plagiarized Krazen, and has repeatedly broken OOC agreements to try to gain an upper hand in our previous engagements.

Guys, JWolf has a point..It would take a while, and a ton (literally) of money, but it is entirely possible to rebuild from the ground up..

We are talking about another bloody thread. The one where Blackhelm was invade and somehow wanked himself out of it because of the magic nation and his godmoding moves, in which everybody ingored.

No, but time can. Plus, when the first nuke hit him, he had his people ordered in underground bunkers or other things in his cities. Then he fire back at the one that launched the nuke at him. Then Blackhelm fired his 32 nukes at him. Now drop it.

Exactly, I run my country like 1984, the Proles who live in the slums are given all they need and are generally happy. GNP per capita is good now, 27 K so it means people have a good life, as long as they have their sex, cheap beer, porn and uranium they will be happy shiney people, the shineyest were in the uranium mines.

In my opinion, sending a fleet halfway around the world just so you can piss another nation off by shooting a missile at them is an act of war. Doing that to a nation that just took a biological attack from an unknown source is just plain begging to get wiped out.

I am personally in favor of letting his ships escape. I got frustrated trying to fight just a solitary Clandonian transport. It violated my airspace, and would not respond to queries. His Globemaster was so elite that it could evade fire from 4 of my F-22's and 2 of Ackistan's Tomcats. While his pilot dodged and weaved; his co-pilot was actually able to unstrap himself, casually stroll to the back of the plane, open the rear parachute hatch, whip out a "hand held" AA missile, aim it, and fire (all while the globemaster was taking around 600 rounds a second). I don't know that I could hang with someone like that.

We have as much right to be in those waters as he does. If he doesn't like ships crowding his, they can evacuate. As it stands, he has posted, ic, and is not evacuating. My forces see no reason to back down.

We won't open fire. My ships aren't going to block him, just be uncomfortably close. He has no legitimate reason to fire on us, and the backlash will be against him if he opens fire.

Besides, I only have one fleet there. Hardly enough to do much. I really don't want to drag a couple dozen fleets over(I use fairly small fleets, organized in taskfleets for larger cohesion). Besides, we haven't done anything aggressive, so stop warning us. Tell CP to hurry up if you're worried about something, as we aren't the aggressive ones here.

If he fired one at your nation, it would have fly at your nation's land and not up and towards the water.
