Geographical Summary: The Empire of Licentium is a small nation in the southwestern peninsula of The Rajou. Nestled away between the Mirror Sea and the Western Ocean it enjoys temperate weather year round. Licentium is subject to all four seasons with longer equinoxes, but short and powerful solstices. Licentium stretches across a total area slightly larger than modern day Germany; ranging from the small Emerald Islands at the tip of the peninsula to the Blackrock mountain range that forms the natural edge of the empire to the northeast. The coastline of the empire extends from the Raian plain in the northeast, around the peninsula to the Blackrock range in the northwest. Along the western edge of the empire the land is heavily forested, where the greatest deposits of coal, timber and silver are found. This is true especially as one comes closer to the mountain ranges at the edge of the empire. The eastern half of the empire is rather open, allowing for sprawling farmland, which sustains the empire, while providing it with some of its chief exports, including their world-renowned wines. The Emerald Islands and the surrounding lagoons are known to have medium reserves of crude oil and are a popular point of interest for tourists. Finally, the mountains to the north, aside from being a natural buffer are rich in iron ore, gold deposits and other semiprecious metals.
