Question
I have a question. Once again, I sat back and watched everything play out, only getting involved once to sink Wanderjars fleet, and now I really just dont get it. Blackhelm Confederacy is a May '06 nation, yet managed to defeat a coalition of nations as old as '04, and has risen to be a rather well respected and, dare I say it, powerful nation. My questions are this.
A) How did he defeat everyone, it was not just his allies
and
B) Why did everyone feel the need to attack him in the first place, there are worse nations.

Technically it was a war against the Griffencrest Corporation. And if the other nations were smart they would have kept it that way. Instead they also attacked the Blackhelm Confederacy, so it is like attacking two nations for one.
GC is also a multinational, it took the war home for many of the nations and forced them into long grinding wars, like WWI, forcing them to sue for peace.

I suppose there is respect if you are truly hated. I don't want to pull a Godwin though so I won't go any further with this analogy.

Considering the small area it came from and the resulting victories, thiscould go two ways, it could go like prussia and gain a big area through a large war against more powerful people and then blow it all in one big war, aka WW1, as a good example. Or Possibly like the roman empire and will swell to unbelievable size and then possibly slowly fall apart from the inside and outside. One or the other, but the reason he got this big would probably be tactical genius and overall luck.
Because the people he is fighting don't understand the term 'teamwork'.

I know, but I thought it worked for what the sentence was implying. Dramatic grandeur if you will. :p

Wanderjar, I think we did win, the anti-CA invasion failed, TWSP was about to fall when he wussed out, Beiraq took huge land gains in Icovir and launched a terror wave on TPF, and Hataria was humiliated in Demon 666 and Undershi. If you can bring up any significant anti-CA victories, go ahead.
And now for my secret. I am just that nasty.
No, I'm kidding, actually, the anti-CA forces could not work together, it was kind of like the crusades. It seemed to me like everyone was out for their own glory in saying that they took out the CA, or dropped Griffincrest, and that got them into all sorts of trouble (The Rustovian encirclement in TWSP, the Scandinavian fleet off my coast, and TPF's failed invasion). The CA worked more or less together, some of the most noticable being Pudite and Griffincrest forces working together to pummel TPF's fleet and men during the landing, or Undershi sacrificing an entire division in Gomez Valley to allow for Griffincrest forces to have pressure taken off them and make a small gain, which GSF forces would later move to expolit. Overall, it was lack of teamwork on the anti-CA/pro-GASN forces side that gave us the victories.

It was primarily because all of the nations, or the vast majority, which Blackhelm fought were n00bs who were both incapable of working together, wouldn't know strategy or tactics if hit in the face by them, and generally did not do a very good job at countering Blackhelm, who while by few standards can be considered a "powerful" nation was still at least better than most of the people he fought. Against a truly competent nation, such as -- if I dare say so myself -- me, Blackhelm's might would not be nearly so apparent.
That, and he techwanks a whole lot. (We all do it Blackhelm, no worries. ;))

Not to mention that 12 of my GSG-9 operators managed to wipe out a company of your advancing infantry, and repulse a Battalion of charging Undershi Armor. I don't think you can say we wussed out.
...then again though, that was about all I dedicated to the conflict too.

...That never happened, if it did, can I see the post. Those guys were just bothersome to the admiral in charge, and it ended up getting alot of Rustovian boys killed.

Consistant message, which, given Toc's withdrawl after leading the major invasion of the Blackhelm Confederacy due to issues with allies, is difficult to argue against.
And Steel and Fire, that's a bit harsh. *does not argue with point (aside perhaps for Wanderjar)*

Why did Blackhelm win? Well, as has been said before - teamwork!!! This little event has proven something important - a number of small nations working together very tightly can unite and defeat a bunch of nations that put together would be stronger than them. We won because of our organization and the fact that we were willing to sacrifice for the others. (For an example of sacrificing, check the Gomez Valley Offensive - I sacrificed an entire division of my best IIS Stormtroopers to take the pressure off of Blackhelm/Grifencrest and let his forces rally.) Basically, yeah, that's why we won. Now we have to hold what we've won... (not talking about territory, mostly...)

Hmm, I wanted to join in the Blackhelm wars, but unfortunatly most of the posting happened when I was dreaming up new evil deeds while asleep, but didn't have the time to go through each post to find out what was happening, shame really, it could have been fun...
And I had some truely evil plots thought up that would have turned everything on its head...;)
