Premier Nicolae Kipprusof stood before Red Square, atop the walls of the Kremlin. The high walls over looked Moscow, and dwarfed the surrounding area. Snow drifts piled up alongside them, and he shivered as the birth of the Russian winter filled the air.

"Today it begins," He spoke to General Alexi Spomuivich, as they watched thousands of tanks move West. Dust was kicked high into the sky, creating massive dirt clouds. It was an intimidating sight which would frighten any sane man.

"Indeed sir," he replied. "The Red Army is going to crash into Germany very soon. We shall not be defeated."

"I should think not!" He said, adding with a smile, "We must prove Russian superiority again." Both men smiled. This war would be terrible, both men knew it. But it was what was best for the Motherland. "We shall fight, we shall drive NATO off the continent, and we shall be victorious."

"Cheers, my Premier," He said, raising a bottle of Vodka in the air.

Nodding, the Premier replied, "Cheers."

Cairo, Egypt, 2h after the Soviet call to arms
"So what do we do?" asked the President, clearly seeking opinions

"Well we do, at least, owe them a reply" answered the foreign minister "even if it is a refusal"

The president nodded "Agreed..We do not, at this stage, want to get involved in a war with the United States, let's instead wait, and see how things develop"

Getting nods from the rest of the goverment council, this was decided as the way forward..for now.

Conference Room 28 Japanese Embassy; Moscow: 12:50 Discussion begins on the movement of the Motherlands forces towards Germany.

The board of delegates and other members of the Japanese government had come to a conclusion that this would most definatly turn into a war of a global scale.

"Where do we go from here? We, as you are all aware, have recieved a request from Russia to help in this war. China have also been given such a request, as we speak they build forces in their country and are looking at our land as a potential target. Should we join with Russia, and risk angrying the Americans? But Russia might protect us from China, but if China agrees to help them, they might gang up on us. However if China ally with Russia and we are in on the deal it might remove the threat altogether." The Embassador paused to take some points from the others around the table.

They have still not come to any official conclusion.

OOC: Just to make things interesting for the European players...

IC: President Bill Frist, the republican from Tennessee, stood before a joint session of Congress, the eyes of America's leadership staring out to him. It probaly helped that after the disasterous 2006 election for Republicans, the party had come back in 2010 and remained the power of the legislative branch since. Frist merely had to ask, and it would be done. But this matter piqued his interest. Having served in numerous government positions before, Frist knew that one slip in American policy would have the clamboring public at his heels. But Frist was recording huge numbers in nationwide polls, popularity skyrocketing as the economy had boomed. Iraq was still an issue with the peace-loving, but the Baby Boomers were slowly dying out anyway...
Frist knew a momumental decision was before him...yet he felt odd. Europe had been at odds with the Americans for two decades nearly, and recently they had been putting more and more pressure on the nation, and in particular, Frist, to go along with this European project and that. So while the plight that the Europeans were going through after Russia declared its intentions, and the feeds that the satellite images showed, Frist still felt annoyed by the Europeans now slobbering all over the USA for these war needs and these troop levels, and how they should leave Iraq for the vultures. Frist felt it was time that Europe learned how it was to be without America saving their tails every time. And furthermore, Frist knew that the Republican-held Congress would agree to whatever he put forth.

"Members of the United States Congress," Frist began his speech, "The United States of America has come upon a great point in history. America is in an economic boom, the citizens are happy, our military grows stronger by the day, beyond the levels of the Reagan era, and American society as a whole has grown on a positive note. The situation in Iraq grows more and more stable as the government under president Achmud Dehmizar grows more and more capable of handling threats to Iraqi unity. In many eyes of the world, America is a safer, stronger, and more friendly place. However, one group continues to banter on our united country for support in their own failing process. This groupis quite familiar to we Americans: Europe. While we prosper because of our own incentives and ability, they rely on our capability for support. Yet they bash our measures, criticize our moves, and banter on our leaders. What do we owe them, for saving them so many times from European destruction? What tidings do we still need to give? What more can we give them to stop their ill will?
"We all are well aware of the threat the Russians have issued upon Europe, to take the continent by storm. The Europeans must once again turn to the USA for support in this matter. Why can they not try to handle this themselves? Has it not been apparent to them the build-ups by the Russians as of recent? Have they not watched over their shoulder to the growing cyclone in the east? Are they not aware? We in American have been aware, we have been watching, we are now ready for such a time. But why must Europe once again come to our door, dishreveled and panting, the minute after they appeared in haughty manner and attire? What guise is this? What game do they play?
"It is of American neccessity that this been resolved to our own benefit first. Iraq is still a great situation, bettering by the day, and it is what we must focus on. The Iraqi military security force grows by the day, powering, mirroring our own ratios of the brave men and women of the United States. Let us be focused on sustaining our rise, continuing our economic, social, and military golden age, while Europe may deal of their own problem. The Monroe doctrine still stands.
"It is here that I proclaim the course of action for America, for the betterment of the citizenry and the country. We shall not, of this time, interfere in what is justifiably a war of the 'old world'. Let the Western Hemisphere remain in our state of Arcadia, and let us continue to thrive in Iraq, developing that nation in harmony with those around it. We may be open to all proposals of trade, shipping, and exchange with Europe, but may Heaven forbid that we lose what we have gained through this messy conflict in Europe.
"Thank you all, and God Bless America."

Congress exploded in applause as Frist left the mantle, walking off stage to behind the public eye of CNN and FOX news.

CPV Politburo Meeting, Hanoi, Vietnam

Nguyễn Đức Trọng was seated at the head of the table, idly twirling a pen in his left hand. "So. What shall we do?"

The 14-member committee was silent, indicating that Trọng continue. He nodded. "If the... ah... 'New' Soviet Union is serious about this act of war towards Germany, the conflict may very well spread to other areas of the globe. If that is the case, then we would do well to keep Russia close, in light their recent intimidation tactics, and especially with an invigorated China to our north. And the Soviet offer of a discount on purchased war-time items would go a long way towards realizing our own territorial ambitions."

"It appears that we have only one option, gentlemen."

SIC to Russia:
You leave us little choice. We will agree to a military pact between our nations, as long as you supply military assistance, though with China to the north, we have reservations about moving a large amount of troops so far away from our soil. Still, we'll do what we can.

One hundred thousand quickly conscripted troops marched into Eastern German. (As no one is playing Germany, can i do this?) Along with Five Thousand T-90S MBT tanks. The Mig-27s flew hundreds of sorties over Eastern Germany. It crushed the whole of Eastern Germany, primarly the Prussian-Origin region. The thousands of troops set up quick defence over the 37% of Germany they now controlled.

(Can I move German troops in also?)
8 Panzer Divisions that were reserves marched towards the SE most of the defence line, but thanks to air support nearly half of the forces had been obliterated. As the remnants of the Panzer Divisions retreated 20,000 Red Army troops and 3,000 T-90S MBTs moved up their arses and crushed the troops, nearly 80% surrendered. Then with the follow threw 10,000 More Red Army troops used the momentum to capture all of Southern Germany.

Sian Wu stood nervously before the assembled Yuan, the newly elected president had been dismayed to learn that her first task in office would be to inform the Taiwanese people of the dire situations across the world.

"Good day to all of you, I come before you today with most disturbing news that will almost certainly affect the Republic. My ministers and I have been briefed on the New Soviet Union situation that is developing, and the outlook is not good."

"Russia has been re-establishing it's allies and forces throughout the region, we suspect the involvement of middle eastern nations as well as the former Soviet-bloc. Most worrying of all is that Japan, the nation that we thought most similar in outlook to ourselves, appears to be considering joining the Russian alliance."

"As yet, we have no information on the People's Republic's stance on these new events, but we expect them also to join the Soviet Union. We could soon be the only free capitalist nation in the region. We are also concerned that amidst the chaos of impending war, the People's Republic may well attempt an invasion of Taiwan, considering the political history between our nations."

"The United States, suppliers of much of our military armament and formerly our greatest military supporters have also experienced a change in policy. It appears that they have chosen to abandon their European allies, this combined with Japan's suspected change in alleigance may cause them to lose faith in the region entirely, and a loss of US support for Taiwan would be disastrous."

The room burst into murmuring as the politicians absorbed this latest problem, and Wu gave them a few moments to settle before she continued.

"Thus I am proposing that in the interest of the defence of the true Republic of China, we authorise the mobilisation of all Taiwanese forces and have them in readiness to defend the nation."

"Meanwhile, we will politely remind our US allies of just how many of their electrical imports come from our nation and how catastrophic it would be for them if Taiwan were to fall into PRC hands."

Our increasingly controvertial alliance (which has not yet been finalised until we agree upon the terms) has come about about because of Japan's increasing worry about China. They are preparing a large army and I fear that not only us but also you are in great danger from the Chinese. This alliance with Russian is to ensure the Safety of our people. We feel the USA may not be in a position to help us if the Chinese were to strike.

We hope that our descion will not isolate you. In these hard time the Japanese government feel that it has becoming of the utmost importance that our two nations stick together against the growing forces of the Chinese. Private Response

The Republic of China also fears the expansionist policies of the People's Republic, however we feel that joining a Soviet alliance will further isolate us from the United States.

We feel strongly that the US pose our best hope of an ally if it comes down to a war, and feel that Japan has made a political mistake by allying with Russia. If the People's Republic were to strike at Japan then Russia would not have the capability to stop them and the United States will no longer offer you assistance.

In an effort to avoid the same happening to us, we wish to remain out of the New Soviet Union, as our very republic disagrees with the principles of communism on which it is founded on.

OOC: If you have a protest to my learning SIC stuff, I'll edit, but remember, Mossad is very good, and I don't have precise details.

IC:The officer saluted, the action as neat as his uniform, which had been ironed and clean to perfection. This report could determine whether or not he kept his command of the eastern Europe intelligence district, a position he had struggled hard to reach and keep in such a turbulent time for Russia and its neighbours. He is a member of Mossad: it would be a minor act of treason to reveal his name here.

"Premier Zacharia. The Russians are attacking Europe in force, but..."

Delivering humour could mean everything, but he only hesitated for a second as he smiled.

"... You may already have been informed. No, what I'm here to inform you is that they're moving military equipment into Syria. You know what that means. I suggest we strike quickly."

David Zaharia nodded slowly, then sighed.

"You were a military man before you joined Mossad, weren't you, [censored]?"

The officer looked up, concealing his surprise.

"Yes, Mr. Prime Minister. I was a Sgan Alúf in command of Shahaf battalion."

"Then you wont understand the politics of the situation. I rely on accomplishing the political agendas of various groups in Kadima, Labour, and to a lesser extent Likud to maintain a plurality in the Knesset. Increased support from Likud and the more moderate members of Yisreal Beytenu cannot compensate for the number of Kadima and Labour members who would leave the ruling coalition if I attacked now. Politically, I have several options: let Syria strike first to rally the Knesset behind a war, pander to some specific platform parties to enlarge the coalition, or attack first and do all I can to ensure that the next coalition has Zion's... best interests at heart."

He realised he was lecturing the intelligence man and stopped.

"Contact the Americans. And Hallam. Alúf Hallam."

He was a tall man, slight, dark haired and dark eyed. His uniform was the olive of the Isreal Defence Forces alef or service uniform, and the pin on his matching beret showed the crossed swords and fig leaf of an Isreali general. This was confirmed and specified by a second crossed sword and fig leaf motif beneath an oak-leaf on his shoulder tab, signifying him as an Alúf, a General or Major-General, depending on how you preffered to translate. At the tip of these shoulder boards was the circular deer tab of Northern Command.

His name was Oren Hallam, and since his 2011 campaign in Lebanon at the head of the Barak brigade he had been among the most respected officers in the IDF. He was also a favourite of the international pro-Isreal media: he had abolished the suicide-bomber house-demolition tactic and treated prisoners well. This hadn't stopped extremist Imams from issuing a worldwide Fatwa calling for his death after his comprehensive and unforgiving "dismantling" of Hezbollah.

Another soldier in a similar uniform entered, holding a meticulously folded envelope.

"Sir, we've recieved an urgent message from the Prime Minister. Strictly confidential."

He took the letter and slit it open wordlessly, taking a moment to digest his orders.

"Aircraft are to be kept at combat readiness 100% of the time. All first line battalions are to be ready to deploy in 45 minutes. Second line units in three hours. Artillery to be loaded and targetted at Syrian targets. Reinforce the patrols of the Magav and prepare to integrate platoons from the Desert Reconaisance Battalion into regular patrols. Engineer battalions are to construct barricades and lay minefields out of sight of the Syrian border! There will be no response to non-violent provocation up to and including illegal border crossings. If there is any hostile action, I want to know before it happens!"

"Sir!," chorused his operations officer and the various intelligence and signals personnel in the command center.

"Mr.Zacharia! Mr.Zacharia!"

The Prime Minister snapped up from his work like a clockwork machine.

"Air activity along the Syrian border and coasts had been strengthed as per your orders. A patrol has registered signs of increasing naval activity in the ports."

"Assemble a squadron of the sea corps to head north not leaving international waters and add this to the draft of our message to the US:..."

He thought for a moment.

"Air patrol registers military activity in Syrian ports. Vessels possibly underway already. Advise orbital observation. Am sending squadron north in international waters. Advise Fifth fleet prepare for interception. Okay, now play me the message so far."

"Soviet equipment believed being moved to Syria. Invasion likely imminent. Am assuming defensive posture for political reasons. Advise Iraqi expeditionary and native forces prepare for hostilities. Request military liaison. Air patrol registers military activity in Syrian ports. Vessels possibly underway already. Advise orbital observation. Am sending squadron north in international waters. Advise Fifth fleet prepare for interception. Zacharia."

I am calling upon all reservists and military personnel to immediately report to the nearest base station to pick up arms, and to fight for the good of the Fatherland. May in the presence of these dark times in which our allies in the US have forsaken us, may we see the light through our noble soldier's actions. May we have a swift return to peace and prosperity. God bless you all." With that, he left the stage amidst a roar of applause. However, this speech was not necessary, for as he spoke, the German Army was mobilizing. Thousands of Leopard battletanks scrambled to meet the oncoming Russian Divisions, and infantry banded together in strategic positions and in cities. Militia groups, formed of desperate people who wished no other way of life than the one they were currently leading, took up arms and readied for a guerrilla war which they hoped would stir terror all the way back to Moscow.

The Luftwaffe took to the air, as hundreds of Eurofighter Typhoons eager to kill Russian Fighters swarmed around Russian controlled territory. As Germany has no formal Bomber, that fell to the Tornado. Panvia Tornado Fighter Bombers proceeded to locate enemy positions, and dropped thousands of pounds of ordinance on enemy troop centers and Armor Columns. Eurocopter "Tiger"'s proceeded them, and would pick off heavy tanks from afar, and scurry away before any response could be made.

If the Russians wanted Deutschland, they would pay for every centimeter in rivers and streams of their own blood, and moutains of devestated bodies.

Italian Prime Minister di Vincenzo was staggered. His chiefs of staff simply could not believe the paucity of forces with which he was now faced with. Despite having nominally committed 100,000 men to the defence of the German republics, his intentiional tardiness in dispatching them had afforded him a considerable force with which to defend his nation. He immediatly gave General Moretti control over the invasion, whilst sending calls for military aid to all those likely to respond, and imploring the Southern French fleet, and the British fleet stationed Gibralter, to countermand the landings.

Come, my brothers in arms, come and join once again into the wave that breaks down the doors of barbarian kingdoms. we will become great once more, we will become victorious and show the world as a whole that we are not the ignorant group of squabblers and terrorists they think we are. The truck rolled easily through rome to the heart of the holy city. It was the same one that the janitorial staff used every night to bring workers in to clean the streets and collect the trash left by the visitors of the day. The procedure had gone on for so long that the guards had become lax. Who wouldn't seeing the same face day after day, sharing cigarettes and coffee in the cold of a winter's night. The truck slowed and finally stopped in the middle of the great square. The driver had worked for years since the insult that the papacy had made to his people, and he finally had all the pieces together. The lax guard, the daily job here in the vatican, and the thermonuclear weapon bought from the now soviets before the war had even begun and smuggled through venetian ports to his home. Protection from any other invasions but keeping the right to govern our selves in a full and democratic way.

A guaranteed oil supply, for which we pay a fixed price for 50 years after the war is over.

We will not except war guilt as we feel we must take these actions to protect our countries.

These three points are of course negociatble. Japan would be happy to join the invasion effort any time you wish, but of course we need some supplies as we only (in the past) have put 1% of our budget towards military and we are grossly unprepared for this war."

Secretary of Defense Darrent Polis reviewed the latest satellite feeds again from the European theater of war, looking over troop movements by the Russians, counterattacks by German forces, and the latest outbreak in Italy. Very counter World War II...though this war had more to come. The fact that Taiwan had expressed concern over US loyalties was trivial...the United States was behind Taiwan, and President Frist himself had expressed his dissatisfaction with the Marxist-looking Chinese. Enough dissatisfaction to perhaps get slightly more involved in the conflict.

"Kyle," Polis called over his undersecretary, "make sure we send off a encrypted comm to Taiwan. Let them know of our 'plans' for the mainland communists."
"Right away, sir," Kyle Ferris replied.

From the United States of America Defense Department

Your plight in the face of the Communist Chinese build-up remains a topic of high priority in the face of the USA. Likely they will make a move soon, and US interests are high in the area, from your esteemed nation to Australia to Japan as allies. In this light, Congress has authorized a plan.
CVN 77 George HW Bush battle group and CVN 73 George Washington battle group stationed at Yokosuka and Seattle naval bases respectively will be immediately sent to bulk up defensive forces of Taiwanese forces agaisnt possible Chinese aggression pending approval of this plan by Taiwan. CVX 1 Saratoga battle group stationed at San Diego will be held in reserve regarding possible offensive action by Chinese forces. If further needed, CVN 68, CVN 70, and CVN 71 battle groups out of San Diego and Honolulu will be held for Pacific action.
Additionally, Air Station Melbourne, transfered in 2013 from European bases, will be readied for potential action. Marine forces at Camp Pendleton California will be prepared for immediate dispatch pending Chinese aggression.

We thank the United States for their generous and continued support. As agreed upon many times in the past, Taiwan will once again allow American ground and air assets to be stationed on our soil if this is deemed necessary.

We will open up the airbases of Hualien, Pingtung, Tainan and Chiayi for the use of additional US aircraft that your carrier groups cannot support, large bombers and logistics aircraft for example.

We expect few problems with integration and compatability with our systems as most are of US, or at least EU standard.

The charging enemy Armor was immediately engaged by German Armored Units from afar. Infantry concealed on hill tops and in roadside foxholes began targeting the enemy tanks with their shoulder fired missiles, while enemy infantry were bombarded with Artillery as they advanced, to soften them up for defeat by the German Infantry.

As the enemy fighters retreated, the Luftwaffe pilots broke off, landing to refuel and rearm while others took to the sky to replace them.

Helicopters still made frequent incursions around German lines, bombarding Russian tanks with Euromissile HOT-3 Missiles (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euromissile_HOT), these High Explosive Anti-Tank rounds (HEAT) were specifically designed to take out armored targets, and would hopefully hinder the Russian's advance.

Things looked grim for the Germans, as Berlin smoldered beneath clouds of carpet bombings, but at least they would make a stand. If only their American Allies based throughout the country would support them....

As the enemy advanced on the Germans, their movements were in futility. Machine guns chattered away cutting apart rank after rank of the enemy soldiers. To witness such a slaughter was something which would make these men awaken in the night, screaming from the horror of what they caused. Explosions from the tank shells ripped massive chunks of earth into the sky, and their coaxial guns chewed up men like a meat grinder.

Napalm bombs spewed forth their jelliton gasoline, which upon contact would melt any man unfortunate enough to get sprayed alive.

Respectfully yours,

...sorry to sound like an ass, but I couldn't resist. :)

IC:

The new Russian Assault was harder, and more concentrated than the previous one. The German Army, 15 Million men strong as all able bodied men reported for their duty, had close to a million troops in Berlin alone. The enemy assault was attacked by German Armor as it approached, and hundreds of M-198 Artillery Cannons opened up, firing shell after shell at the approaching enemy. Smoke, the smell of cordite, and burning metal filled the air as more bombers dropped napalm on the rushing enemies, and fighters launched salvo after salvo of missiles at the enemy fighter craft.

The enemies strategy of small human and mechanized waves would be repulsed each time they pathetically attempted it.

German HELO units couldn't make many incursion into the Soviet held line now.

The One hundred thousand troops to the East where being bogged down by the Germany units, and were starting to take mass-casuelties, but where also doing the same to the enemy.

91st Paratrooper Division:

These troops will be dropped behind the enemy defensive line in Eastern Berlin, and will help break the fortifications. Along with these troops Four Russian Armies containing a total of 500,000 troops are moving towards Northern Berlin. They will be called Army Group-C.

Army Group-C:
