Osteian infantry wear red coats with brass buttons, black tricornes with white trim, white trousers, black leather cartridge bags.

Dragoons:

Dragoons resemble those of the Queens light dragoons in the American revolution period, veteran heavy dragoons are similar in look.

Artillery:

Blue jackets, blue pants with red stripes, blue tricornes,

Officers:

Resemble those of the British Empire(revolution period)


OOC: Brief..for now..

An ambassador has been sent to King Charles III to discuss matters of mutual interest, including relations with Angermanland.
He will arrive soon, given the good transport links across that area.

King Charles III, ruler of all Osteia sat in his great hall alongside his wife, Antionette listening to recent reports from his messengers. They brought reports of recent conscriptions, volenteers for the Kings army and a report that a Diplomat from Terror Incognitia was soon be to arriving in the Nations capital of Apollo,

"Very well, have me informed when this Diplomat arrives, also this MUST be formal..i want him to feel comfortable aswell as welcome in Osteia..also i want diplomats sent to Caladonn, Angermannland and Frozopia this month"

"Your Majesty" They replyed before bowing and turning to leave.....

"They are sending a diplomat before i got around to it, very good.." Charles said to his wife who simply nodded...

Apollo...capital of Osteia, royal seat of King Charles III, and site - he hoped - of Matthew Wilson's triumphal diplomatic coup, putting him in contention for a Cabinet post at the next opportunity.
He had been sent with pretty basic instructions - deal with bandits, work on a peace treaty, see what else is achievable.
However, he had ambitions to reach beyond that, and even an impartial observer would credit that he had the talent to achieve more. The strength of character and integrity to be a great statesman were uncertain in him, but the sheer talent and charisma? All there.
Accompanied by a pair of junior Consilars, there for experience more than anything, and a small escort of light cavalry, they headed down towards the city.
They had had to explain themselves multiple times to the local authorities. Fortunately few of even the most officious petty bureaucrats withstood Wilson's charm for long.

An announcer of the Royal court strolled into the throne room of His Majesty King Charles III, he bowed

"Arise" the king said in a deep voice while gesturing upwards...

"Your highness, diplomats from Terror Incognitia have arrived in Osteia, it has been reported by a local officer of your Royal heavy dragoons"

The King sat up in his throne,

"Very well, when he arrives here at the palace announce them at once!"

"Of course your Highness!" the announcer lowered his head..

"Now, go out there and await their arrival!"

"Your Majesty!"

The man bowed once more, took three steps backwards and left the room closing the door behind him...

ooc: hOW Do you play these kinds of RPs?

OOC: This is a Past Tech RP, set in the Napoleonic era with made-up countries and the British Isles as a map. We have each been allotted 60 points to spend on military, economy etc. This is Osteia's factbook page, where others may send diplomats, etc.

Unfortunately, this RP is currently closed; however, it could possibly need more players if we decide to extend the map.

They found their way to the Palace with ease. Reaching a clerk not far in, they were asked their business.
"We are diplomatic envoys from Terror Incognitia, sent to discuss matters of mutual interest with his Osteian Majesty, King Charles III."
Wilson settled back to wait. It would take a little while for the message to filter up, most likely, but then they would go to see the King.
Until then, they would wait.
