*Beep* You've reached the Office of Dr. Ahmed Al Sahib, I'm out on hiatus for a few months so if its important you'll have to catch me on my cell, otherwise leave a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I'm in the office, thanks!

There, all finished now. Ahmed picked up his bags and walked out of the office for the last time for the year. His two body guards followed faithfully, opening doors for the professor and escorting him to his car where one stepped into the drivers seat and the other into the rear seat while Ahmed put his bags into the trunk and climbed into the passenger's seat for the trip to the airport.

You wouldn't know it to look at the portly professor, but he had been the brains behind Mondoth's rise to nuclear power decades ago. He had studied nuclear physics and engineering at Oxford, Berkley, Caltech and MIT and prided himself on the fact that none of his bombs had ever fizzled in tests, not even the notoriously difficult compression types. Now Ahmed Al Sahib designed nuclear warheads tipped the dozen or so Mondothian nuclear missiles, it was a small number, but a potent one and Ahmed was satisfied at having provided so well for the defense of his homeland.

"What is this? Who are you? What do you want?" Ahmed was scared, surrounded by about half a dozen men in black jumpsuit and ski masks with guns while his bodyguards lay crumpled and bleeding against the wall.
"Dr. Sahib" said one of the masked men, "We want you to build us some bombs" and then he felt a sting in his back and a great blackness swallowed his consciousness.

Excerpted from the Mondothian Nightly News

"And so the rocket splashed down into the sea, a complete failure and with it, the plans for a Draco Conglomerate Single Stage to Orbit Rocket, slowly sinking.
And now back to the Studio.

"Thanks Bob, Concern is growing over the recently discovered disappearance of Dr. Ahmed Al Sahib, considered the foremost Mondothian expert on Nuclear Physics and is purported to have designed the Mondothian nuclear arsenal himself. Dr. Al Sahib failed to return to from vacation yesterday and it was revealed that his bodyguards weekly check-ins had been recorded and played back to conceal the disappearance. Analysis shows that the Dr. has been missing for at least a month and maybe longer. The only suspects, the Naveiran Separatist movement has denied involvement in the abduction saying that the group still maintains nuclear devices from the crisis several years ago and would not need the services of a nuclear weapons expert. Authorities are still looking for leads but believe that whoever abducted Dr. Al Sahib may have left the country and are planning on using his talents to design nuclear weapons for a foreign nation. The Mondothian Government asks any individual, nation or organization with information on the doctors where-abouts or his captures to please step forward and aid in the return of the Dr. before whoever is behind the abduction has a chance to obtain nuclear capabilities.

In other news, the Draco Conglomerate has announced that recent surveys using advanced techniques have discovered offshore oil deposits in a sight formerly used as a fake oilfield by the Mondothian Government to conceal an increased nuclear arsenal. The weapons have since been dismantled but now the field will go into active production as new platforms are moved in and the false platforms that would have been used to conceal the weapons are converted to actually perform the service they faked for several years...

The Draco Conglomerate Single Stage to Orbit Rocket Test Crash Site

The signal finally came and the hoist activated to pull the remains back to the surface. Publicly the test had been a failure, but only three of the dozens of scientists on the project had even known the true purpose of the test, and it hadn't been to test a single stage to orbit rocket. Pending analysis of the payload recorders flight data, these three scientists were silently congratulating themselves, the missile had splashed down within ten meters of the predicted GPS coordinates, an acceptable margin of error. Soon similarly designed missiles would be secretly installed in several of the new oil platforms being moved into the ironically located new oil fields, right next to platforms that had served a similar purpose to the Mondothian government years ago.

OOC: Mind if I'm the mysterious men?

Dr. Sahib awoke in a rather good looking facility. Glass walls, fancy new computer terminals, phones, well lit, but no windows. The hum of air conditioning punctured the air along with the occasional sounds of varoius 'Doctors' being paged over the intercom.

He then noticed the dozens of guards, they were wearing white battlesuits which blended in well with the wall, they were heavily armed and a man sat on a workbench in front of him.

A box of cigars and cigarettes were on the bench, along with a gold lighter which was a Leafanistani Officier's lighter.

But something caught his eye that made him shake, instead of Leafanistani flags on their sides, they more a more terrifying sign. If it wasn't enough he was kidnapped, he was kidnapped by the Leafanistani Red Mafia. They were brutal, anyone in nuclear science knew of their theft of dozens of nuclear warheads from Soviet Confederation arsenals. They were also suspected in the Kamasha-New Feluca nuclear exchanges as the ones who fired the nukes in the first place.

The man at the bench stood up, lit a cigarette and said, "Doctor, cigarette?"

A pack of cigarette's flew into his hands and the man picked up the lighter, opened it, engaged it, and a brilliant green flame appeared.

OOC: Actually, I have some one in mind for that (The Draco Conglomerate in fact)

Right now I'm mostly looking for people to start searching for the good doctor, whether to help out Mondoth or for their own purposes ;)
Also, I'd like to build some political ill will towards Mondoth over having 1 lost one of its nuclear weapons designers, and 2 the fact that the Naveiran insurgency still has nukes (a fact that has been kept quiet until now)

"So Mr. Sahib, you see, we are not unreasonable. All we want is a design and a shopping list for a 5 megaton thermonuclear device suitable for fitting on an intercontinental ranged missile and you will go free, 100 million dollars the richer."
The man was sitting in a high backed leather office chair in an Armani suit, dreadfully out of place in his crude black ski-mask and vocal quality disruptor duct taped to his throat, turning what might have been an attractive voice into a throaty, warbly one

"I don't need your money, and you certainly won't get a design out of me."
He was defiant, still dressed in the Hawaiian shirt and shorts they had captured him wearing, sitting on the other side of the oak desk.
Dr. Sahib got the impression that the offices he was being held in had not been hastily converted to holding a prisoner, but that his captors were unwilling to give up certain comforts and style that ended up looking greatly out of place.

"Be reasonable Mr. Sahib, every man has his price, name yours, our pockets are very deep."

"You know, there is an art to making nuclear devices, much like in almost everything else, the right combination of attitude, creativity, training and supplies will turn out a weapon, nothing less. I haven't made a nuclear device in more than thirty years, not even in mock, if you want you're five megaton devices, I will build you some, and train some of your people to do so as well."

"And the Money?"

"Keep it, it will be payment enough to work my art again."

"Where did the material come from?"

"Does it matter?"

Sahib gaped. "What are you talking about, of course it matters, I have to know the quality of the material to get the most efficiency out of the bomb."

"Well... Shit, it came from one of your nuclear plants."

"Oil City right? Thats the only fast breeder in Mondoth."

"Yea, that one."

"Good, thats good stuff, we can work with that."

The weapon was geometric perfection, a cone rising up from the floor, night black and deadly. Carefully his assistants lifted the cone and tipped it over gently onto the rotator.
Dr. Sahib had designed the rotator as part of his work on Mondoth's nuclear weapons program, since storing the warheads atop a missile was neither safe nor wise, and the enormous weight of the weapons could cause them to deform over time if left in one position, the rotator was simply a rotating plate that kept the warhead rolling so that it was never in one position long enough to deform.

The weapon finally lay on the rotator which was turned on and tuned to get the weapon rolling just right, in sync with the twenty six other weapons in the storage room.

"So, how long can the weapons stay off the rotators?"

"If you lay it on the butt, it will remain usable for days, weeks perhaps, but on the side it will deform after hours and will have to be re-cast. Yuan can take care of that for you, he is a fast learner."

"Very good, your work is done here now."

"Thank-" suddenly Dr. Sahib felt a prick in the back of his neck, and blackness engulfed him.

OOC: Thread continues elsewhere tomorrow!
Be prepared for the exciting conclusion.
