The Merkar Republic is currently seeking embassy exchanges with any nation so willing. If you are interested in having one, see the map (below) and tell us what city you would like to position your embassy in, the cost, and where you would like to locate it (feel free to make stuff up about the city's streets, landmarks, etc.).

It is most delighting to know that our long time friends in the Merkar Republic have at long last established an embassy exchange program in order to foster more friendships across the planet with new nations. This is especially in delighting, as the Union and the Merkar Republic have had contact many moons before, yet we have not exchanged embassies. I wish to rectify this erroneous error on the behalf of my nation. Here is the first proposal for the Southeast Asian embassy in the Merkar Republic:

Declaration approved by the people of the Merkar Republic, October 3rd, 2025

The Merkar Republic is pleased that Southeast Asia will finally open formal ties with our nation. It is good that both of our nations can live in peace in these dangerous times.

A spot has been located in our capital city, Athiesism, near the city center. Your ambassador and his or her staff will have an easy commute to all of our important government and military command facilities.

As part of the embassy exchange, we wish to install our own embassy in your most important city, capital city or otherwise.

Details:

- 5,000 square feet
- 3 stories tall
- Large basement
- 1 Ambassador (Election pending)
- 36 staff
- 1 military attache (military attaches are usually foreign intelligence agents)
- 1 economic attache
- 10 Army soldiers, armed with AR-15M and RPG-35 and trained and equipped with several nonlethal weapons

Your planned embassy, although elaborately designed, would take up a great deal of space and money to construct. Please limit the size of your structure to a city block, and be willing to bear the cost yourself, as you reconsider your proposed embassy.

OOC: Merkar Republic, hmm have not heard that name in quite a while, do you still rp FT?

Yes. Right now I'm doing mostly MT stuff (A Passion Play), but it's non-progressive right now and I'll join any good FT RP. This embassy thing is MT only.

We never intended that you should pay for our embassy, we will pay for it. We are even willing to purchase or lease the entire Island if that's what we need to do, to build the embassy we designed. This Embassy Complex would do your economy alot of good through the jobs & taxes it would generate. Further the Space Elevator would give you a very inexpensive means of placing satillites and other things into orbit. The Space Port could open an entirerly new industry, namely Space Tourism. We don't plan to reconsider our proposed embassy, hopefully you will reconsider and realize what we are offering you. However, if not we will be forced to withdraw our offer.

We are willing to give you a portion of the island (approximately 10 square miles) to build your starbase. You will have to lease the area from a local corporation, Ball Real Estate, for $60 million a year. Is that acceptable?

Although sixty million a year seems a little high we will accept your offer because we should be able to recoupe the cost from the services offered. We are now wiring you one hundred twenty million USD for the first two years lease payment. Your exceptance of said funds will signal us your ok to immediately start construction of our Embassy Complex
