A Plea for Help

New Bonzawaniia

Bonzawaniiaen Council Rooms, Selcarvo 13:36
The intruders entered the Council Rooms through the roof. 8 guards were already dead but that was just the beginning of the killing. They slid down into the room, shooting the guards posted on overlooking boxes and on the ground. They surrounded the council and shot any members that moved and took the survivors hostage. Only the Chairman on New Bonzawaniia, Thomas Clarkson, the Foreign Secretary, Mark Havson and the Defense Minister Sonya Celbrada escaped. 19 of the 25 Council members were taken hostage.

Selcarvo 13:43
It was unusually quiet in the Bonzawaniiaen capital before the first gunshots were heard. People came rushing out of the embassies and were shot down in the road. Once again survivors were taken hostage.

The story was similar allover New Bonzawaniia as the rebels carried out their assigned tasks. The Military and police responded as quickly as possible, but were not quick enough to prevent several cities being taken and lives being lost. The media was captured and is being used to spread propaganda around Bonzawaniia.

“People of New Bonzawaniia your salvation is near! Our Messiah Jaevo has sent me and my fellow freedom fighters to liberate you from your government’s ignorance to religion and put you under the divine rule of Jaevo. If the Chairman does not give himself up, hostages will die. Bonzawaniia MUST close it’s borders with the world to truly follow Javeo. We are his disciples, you are his flock!”- Amerish Jackson, Leader of the Jaeovist rebels.

-Telegram from Chairman Clarkson of New Bonzawaniia-
Great nations of the world New Bonzawaniia requires your aid. Jaeovist extremists have attacked New Bonzawaniia and taken hostages and important buildings. I regret to inform any nations that have an embassy in Bonzawaniia that their staff are either dead or have been taken hostage. Any nation that considers itself humanitarian should intervene to save the lives of innocents. Communication has been cut off by the extremists to the military, so saving hostages will be difficult. Please assist, many lives are at stake here!

Dear families of the Marines your foolish nation has sent to fight a god. When you discover that the marine in your family is dead, do not blame Jaevo, blame your nation government. "Prime Minister, we have a very important news." A man approached the PM, he handed him the official message from the chaiman of New Bonzawaniia. "Do we have any of our citizens in there?" The PM said after reading the message. "Probably not, sir. The nation is a dictatorship."

"Still, we have to help the people from these radicals. Do we?"

"Ofcourse sir."

"Very well. Inform the intelligence department that they are to collect as much information as possible on New Bonzawaniia and the Jaeovist extremists. I will hold a meeting in the mean time."

"Holy Sir? What do you suggest we do?"

"Put the First Crusaders on stand-by. We won't interfere here, but if by some fluke they do manage to seize control of the government, you have standing orders to make it one of the shortest reigns in history. Understood?"

"Yes, Holy Sir."

"All right, you apes! The orders are these. As soon as we get confirmation that the Jaeovists are in control, you boys hit the shores. We're still working on the battle plan, but, in short, you fight your way to the capital and kick these False Prophets out on their asses! Any questions? Good! Now get some sleep."

OOC: Thanks for telling me about this. Ill post a more in-depth something a bit later.

IC:

It is our understanding one of our embassies would have been subject to this violence. We are sending troops into your nation, as I am sure you can understand. I hope you do not object to such actions.

Survivors will be evacuated and hostages released to our best efforts, then we can move onto helping out the rest of your fine nation. We currently have 3,750 personnel stationed elsewhere, and the rest available not engaged in defensive capabilities will be engaged. An attack on the people of our nation is an act of war, and we will treat it as such.

OOC: The Jaevoists are not in power, the government and the extremists are fighting for power so it’s pretty much up for grabs.

IC:
Chairman Clarkson thanks Watanda, The Aslanic Mountains and GrimWolf for their assistance and wishes them the best of luck. Selcarvo has been lost to the Jaevoists and it is critical that it is liberated as a majority of the hostages are being held there. The Bonzawaniiaen 12th and 23rd Infantry and the 5th Armored divisions have been dispatched to this task. The BEAR (Bonzawaniiaen Elite Air Regiment) have been ordered to take critical locations such as embassies and government buildings. The BAF (Bonzawaniiaen Air Force) are bombing Jaevoists strongholds and we suggest that other nations do the same.

Message from Amerish Jackson to all Foreign Soldiers in New Bonzawaniia
I despise you. You live in poison and come to Bonzawaniia to take the only island that stands above your sea of poison to take our land. Any, repeat, ANY foreigner that is seen by the Disciples of Jaevo (DOJ) will be shot. 5 hostages have been killed and the killing will continue until the government hands over control of Bonzawaniia to DOJ. And, to General Sidana we would like to welcome you to New Bonzawaniia and we will ensure your stay here is as short as possible.

Note: The government of The Aslanic Mountains urges all nations to keep the small area of our HQ de-militarised, as the intention is that it will be treating injured civilians as well as casualties on all sides.

IC:

The first of the troops filtered into New Bonzawaniia to set-up HQ and military hospitals. They hoped it wouldnt be, but expected this to be a bloody war indeed. When sufficient forces had amounted they would move in on the embassy. Artillery units, tanks, APCs and AA systems had all arrived, as had one aircraft carrier and small convoy.

The military personnel in New Bonzawaniia knew that back home, the people were behind them. Despite ten years of conflict, the peoples had never been so united. It was a wierd thing, but it spurned the troops on to new heights. Knowing that Aslanians were taken hostage, and some could have been killed filled many people with hate, and thousands turned up to recruitment offices. However, with the small proffessional army The Aslanic Mountains maintained, most were turned away. Support was overwhelming. There was a real danger that support for the war could quickly slip away though.

A fighter aircraft flew over head, heading towards 'Operational Target #001', the Aslanic embassy. It was probably scouting ahead, and making their presence known. The troops were busy setting up camp. Barracks, two MASHs (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital), and Admin buildings.

The general requested an airway nearby for delivery of supplies and troops by air. He hoped his request would be granted, or the Navy would have a large task on its hands.

We have recieved your plea for help. However, until we recieve your permission to land our soldiers in your country, we cannot provide support. We also require the use of your airstrips, as our F/A 35 Talons need a place for refueling and rearming after air strikes.

In the way of ground forces, we can provide some artillery, tanks, and a few elite soldiers.

Also, we are not sure yet if we should deploy soldiers yet to your country. Help is not guaranteed, at least in military form.

As Leader Milo watched:
The occurances in New Bonzawaniia, he noticed a sour taste in his mouth, it was the memory of the debacle in Khornate tribes and the bloodier infighting still raging in Chitzeland, as it had since he took power.

Still, he couldn't help but get involved, as he had a soft side for developing countries in a tight fix.

Upon hitting the shoreline , the TLC would drive 5 to 10 metres up the beachhead and unload its men and armor .

The Marines which were provided with tank , artillery and air support began moving into costal cities and evacuating them by sea ...

OOC: Any words on the preperations the enemy has made to defend the city? Road blockades, tank traps etc.? Or should I just RP when it comes to it what I think would be adequate?

IC:

The last of the troops filtered in. The aircraft carrier, the AMS Harlow drifted off the coast. Its convoy surrounded it forming a protective barrier. Troops on land were ready to strike. 'Operation Freedom' as it was called by the troops was about to begin, the operation to free the Aslanic civilians.

The correctly named 'Operational Target #001' was to begin shortly. The newly purchased combat helicoptors were ready, as were the troops. It was to be a fight in a built up area, the deadliest kind of warfare. The enemy could be anywhere, and as far as they knew civilians could be the enemy in waiting. Leaflets were to be dropped telling people to stay inside, but the decision was made against as the enemy could take heed also.

First reports on the situation were in, and rough maps had been drawn up on request. The attack was planned, and the troops were fired up. They would sleep this evening and partway through the night. The time was set. The clock was ticking.

We need the information of your air field before the first batch of troops leave for New Bonzawaniia. The infantry will be travelling on two Boeing 747s provided by a commercial airline while the tanks and armoured personnel carriers will be loaded onto RAF's C-5 Galaxy's and C-7 Globemaster III's. The rest of the soldiers, tanks, air crafts and hellicoptor gunships will arrive via the battleships.

"What do they think they're doing? They can't just waltz in there all happy and expect them to roll over. Unless they know something we dont."

"I dont see how, sir! Our intelligence teams were working day and night to bring us the information we already have."

"Still, for some reason those Watandans seem like they should be dealt with caution. Send an APC over to their current position and ask for some kind of intelligence sharing. Maybe we could work together."

"Sir! I shall go personally."

"No, no. I need you here Williams. Send that bright young spark, whats his name? Terry?"

"Officer Pharrel, sir?"

"Thats the one. Send him. Im sure he can handle himself."

------------------

The APC rolled out of the HQ, with Officer Pharrel on board with a gunman on top, and three soldiers inside. An up and coming officer, Pharrel had gone from strength to strength. He was guaranteed a promotion if his good service continued. A loyal Aslanian, he 'fought' against the rebel forces, stationed on the border where his valiant efforts at thwarting many attacks earn him promotion to an officer.

They were nearly at the Wantandan commanders position, when they slowed down. They had reached a road block. The troops got ready to rush out. The gunmen stomped his foot twice, indicating they should take caution. None of them knew who the roadblock was set-up by, and the incoming night opposed any attempts to visually find out. Two soldiers advanced on the vehicle, weapons raised.

OOC: Anyone can pick up on this by the way, especially Watanda.

He gave General Hayden a personnal call on his cell phone,

The conversation was brief, cut to the point.

"General, get yourself back home, i've got a more important assignment for you."

"Its a go." Mister Huehs says into a cellphone. "The Chairman Request that we keep collateral damage to a minimum.... I Know, I Know...But it was his request."

Several hours later, the shilloette of 10 UH-60 Blackhawks can bee seen from Selcarvo. "Ok men, Our First Priority is Slecarvo International Airport. We are tasked to secure the Runways and Tarmac till the first C-17 can arrive and drop the rest of our support, Untill then we have to Maintain security. Once Support has arrived The initial assualt force will enter enter the terminal and clear the Airport. Once We have Secured the Airport, The rest of Slcarvo should fall like dominos." a man explained to the other Operators.

The BlackHawks arrived at the Airport and soon took up a rectangular like so:

. . .

. : .

. . .

From here 5 Spec Operaters fast roped from each Helo and took up a defencive position. Once fully deployed the Black Hawks peeled off and flow away form the city. "Where are they going?!" A rookie called out.
"There getting the hell out of Dodge!" His commander yelled.
"Who is gonna provide Close Air Support!?!" The rookie cried out.

All hell broke loose.

Late at night, under the cover of darkness, some troops had made their way to the edge of the city, and made their way into it to try and clear a route to the hostages. They stayed low trying to route out enemy positions from distance and safety, and now it was beginning to become light once again they emerged. Little did the troops know the enemy lay waiting, and knew they were there.

The troops broke off in small groups, each for itself, trying to get a shot in here and there against the wall of bullets. The urban terrain was forgiving, plenty of places to hide and take refuge. A few groups found ways out of the mess, but the rest were pinned down. They dared not stick even a fingernail out incase it was blown clean off.

They hoped someone could make it through and get some kind of a strategic position to pick off the enemy. If not, armoured support would be arriving soon as would one gunship. The order may have been minimal damage, but in order to get any foothold in the battle, a sacrifice to one or two buildings would have to be made. The troops were sure command would understand.

It was a good start, that was for sure.

Time passed before long, and the 612th Airborne Brigade was inbound.

Over 1000 aircraft, 800+ of which being transports, brought in the 50,000 soldiers and their few tanks to Selcarvo Intertanional Airport.

On the ground with his men, during the landing operation, General Hayden, Senior Commander of the Royal Armed Forces, met up with his staff to discuss further operation plans. He informed the Chancellor that they had landed.

100 miles offshore, Naval Battle Group Sierra was pulling into position, assembling for their approach, and preparing their shore landing parties to establish a beach head for the unloading of future troops. The 1st Royal Army was on standby back at home, and could be delivered in less than 2 weeks.

Battle Group Sierra immedately began flying recon sorties against Seperatist targets.

Back at home, The 6th and 7th Royal Air Forces were recieving such data, and the attack coordinates were being punched in. B52's and RB01's (RAF original) bombers, each escorted by three fighters, began taking off for the six hour flight to hit Seperatist targets.

As the 612th Airborne was setting down, over a hundred bombers, and their escorts, were already beginning to smach Seperatist targets into submission.

General Hayden sent the leaders of Outer Heaven a message, written on fine Royal Official Document paper:

"To the honorable leadres of Outer Heaven,

The Royal Army has landed. We propose that the Allied Generals meet here at Selcarvo Intertanional Airport to discuss further offensive plans, and aftermath plans. We need any and all intel to be shared among the allies in order to crush the seperatists quickly, before anything else goes wrong. We would like to know current figures, if any exist, on total allied strengh, and where such seperatist armies are located. The 612th Airborne is a veteran unit of 4 conflicts in the past 3 years, they know how to get things done. And the Royal 1st Army is not far away, if they are needed.

We propose that we form an Allied High Command, based either here at the airport, or at your capital, with one of your Generals in total command.

Sincerely,
General of the Armies, Rick Hayden, Senior Commander Royal Armed Forces"

After a long silence, after asking for permission to send troops in the vicinity, Oslea decided to finally do something about the Jaevoian presence in New Bonzawaniia. Probably they only decided to do something since a fleet was close by, but nevertheless they decided to do something.

-----

This light fleet's flagship, the Intrepid Class Supercarrier OSS Lady Colleen left its place just outside another nation's border and sailed towards Bonzawaniia's shores, along with a small fleet consisting of a Dauntless Class Heavy Battleship, 1 Ocean Class Helicopter Assault Carrier, 5 Ticonderoga Class Cruisers, 4 Arleigh Burke Class Missile Destroyers, 2 Horizon Class Anti-Aircraft Frigates, and 1 Oliver Hazard Perry Class ASW Frigate .

Since the only help the nearby Oslean forces were able to provide were air support, they readied the 190 F/A 35 Talons and switched half of their 500-pound dumb bomb armaments with 250 pound GBU-39 GPS guided bombs. The 12 MH-60S Knighthawks on the aircraft carrier were put on standby.
-----

The admiral of the fleet relayed this message to everyone within New Bonzawaniia:

This is Admiral Ray of the OSS Lady Colleen of Oslea's 2nd light fleet. We come in peace to all forces
fighting the Jaevoian terrorists in Bonzawaniia. We are able to provide air support in the form of F/A 35 Talons,
do not be afraid to ask. You may use our aircraft carrier
to refuel and rearm your jets, I am relaying our position to you now.
We are about 750 miles off Bonzawaniia's shores and closing in.

"Change of plans... Hot LZ drop..."

"Shit..."

The Mi-26 Halos pressed on towards Selcarvo.

"Requesting a air cover for an operation over the House of Commons in Selcarvo"

As the Mi-26s came under fire, they responded by firing ECM and the APCs in the back opened fire out the rear hatch, aided by further shooting out of windows on the helicopters by individuals at the terrorists.

As they came to a sizable clearing, theu made a touch and go, dropping off all 4 fully loaded APCs, two were armed to the brim with rockets, the others had troops riding both on top and inside it.

Covering fire was given by the flight mechanic of each helicopter, and those riding atop or following behind the APCs, which layed down their own covering fire as well.

Mainly to put on an "air show" to show the terrorists were facing new opposition, 50 F/A 35 Talons took off from the Intrepid Class Supercarrier basically just to fly around New Bonzawaniia, unless of course a request for support came into their radio frequency, in which case they had with them 3 500-pound dumb bombs and 3 GBU-39 guided bombs, each jet, for terrorist bombing.

They flew over the sea to New Bonzawaniia spread out across the sky in a magnificent formation. On the Bonzawaniian horizon, you could spot the large squad of 50 jets flying towards the land.

300 Infantry
40 Special Forces Operatives
20 Merkava Mk4
40 Humvees
20 APCs

"Alright boys," Colonel Richard Idle addressed to his soldiers at a New Bonzawaniian airfield after they have landed. "We get to work at once."

The Infantry split up into fireteams and set up check points around the city. Three APCs, packed with 7 Special Forces Operatives in each, and 4 Merkava Mk4s were dropped off near Selcarvo to participate in the recapture of the city.

The Aslanic Mountains
03-11-2006, 20:08
After some fairly hefty casualties, the troops broke through the wall of bullets they faced. They hoped that resistance would not be so heavy in other areas, because if it was The Aslanic Mountains forces would be in dire trouble. A few small bits of fire could still be heard all around the immediate area, but on the large part all the terrorists were dead. There was no time to subdue them and bring them in.

Now the troops could regroup, remove the casualties from the area and make their move towards the Aslanic embassy. After a certain time, reinforcements would be bought in from HQ. This was to be the biggest war the Aslanic Mountains had ever faced since its formation, that was for sure.

The troops moved on slowly. They were used to mountain battles, but had been trained sufficiently in urban terrain. However, they had never faced a battle to use this just adequate enough training. Reinforcements, at an allys request, had been sent in by transport helicoptor to the airport. A total of eighty men were stationed there. More could be taken in as the need arose.

Total forces present amounted to 140,000 men and women. This included support staff, and more were ready to reinforce the current troops. Getting as many Aslanic civilians out of the warzone was target number one, and the second one running at the same time was to liberate New Bonzawaniia.

"Objective in sight. Defences spotted. Aerial pictures requested. Roadblocks and sentries visible."

So, since me and The Aslanic Mountains are rescuing hostages, I'm taking airborne insertion while he takes the footslogger's method.

Any clue what their defenses are?

(Continuity errors may arise when using HM-320 as rocket launcher, so I'll refrain from doing so and use them mostly as regular 40 mm grenade launchers -as primarily intended- mostly because they don't expect to be up against many tanks)

The extremists in the city have set up road blocks, makeshift pillboxes and have fortifed some buildings
A little helpful, but what am I to expect, right now I'm assuming they are using inexpensive small arms (CFR-7, AR-550, M-16, AK-47 series at best, more likely shotguns and pistols), a few IEDs and Molotovs, and no armor.

Oh well, should my men be aware of yours, or should we just bump into each other and have a "WTF moment".

Edit previous post:
No troops riding atop APCs, those 16 troops shall remain inside the Mi-26s...
New Bonzawaniia

OOC: Yeah the extremists are armed with looted guns from Bonzawaniiaen infantry (stuff like SA-80s) and cheap 'civilian' weapons like shotguns.

IC: the three Bonzawaniiaen Chinooks flew over the center of Selcarvo under the cover of darkness, thier cargo three eight man strong BEAR units (A1, A2 and A3) armed with silenced Colt Commandos (smaller M16s). A1 and 2's mission was to free hostages in the Bonzawaniiaen council building and Unit A3's mission was to take St Dobson's Cathedral which would act as a sniping, an observation and a strong point for the allied forces in the city. Once it was secured medical staff would be sent down to set up a first aid post.

"This is Chinook A1 we're approaching the LZ, over."
"OK good luck, over."
Unit A1's sniper took out the six guards stationed on the Council roof and the unit entered the building through the stairs lead to the top floor.

Unit A2 entered the Council building through the main entrance, shooting the guards at the door and in the hall, a shot from a Jaevoists SA-80 rang out through the hall. "What the hell is that?", pointing his gun-mounted torch at a shape hung from the banister. "Bloody hell, that’s the Home Secretary!"
"Those b******s"
Jean MacKlinkey, the home secretary, was hanging from the elaborate banister by his feet. He had been shot three times in the head and had been beaten by a pole of some sort and alot of his bones appeared to be broken. Unit A2 continued their business into the corridor in front.

Unit A3 had planned to enter St. Dobson's Cathedral thought thee back door, but a truck was blocking the doors. It was loaded with ammunition. "Should we shoot it sir?"
"Quiet, I've got a plan."

The top floor of the Council Building was used for storage, so there was only one guard, who soon suffered from a broken neck. They snuck down into the floor below where they met a Jaevoist poker game. The players were all armed with various handguns, but they all surrendered apart from one, who was awarded eternal oblivion for his bravery. After a couple of minutes muffled questions and insults, a Jaevoist screamed for help and caused him and his comrades to be shot. "And now they are truly holy" commented Sergeant Redman.

The corridor was surprisingly empty and unit A2 made their way to the Security Room uneventfully. Electricity had been cut before the mission by resistance forces in Selcarvo but the CCTV could run without electricity , so unit A2 just had to pray that the Jaevoists did not know the codes... They burst into the Security Room and opened fire. There were guards around a table and at CCTV stations trying to get the cameras to work, and most of them promptly fell to the ground. But there were guards in the canteen around the corner, one which dived round the corner and shot Lieutenant Parkson dead. A2 dived behind the table and pinned down the guards in the canteen once they were taken out by a grenade, the unit knew more guards were coming.

Unit A3 waited for the guards to move away from the truck for ten minutes before they could jump into the back of the truck. They hid among the crates and waited for the sound of the engine. They moved slowly through the cathedral’s holy halls and noticed that it had been severely defaced. Their was graffiti on the walls and pillars, the windows were smashed and there were remains of fires on the ground which were surrounded by litter. Once the truck stopped the Unit burst out of their hiding places and mowed down any visible enemies. The high pitched sound of the silenced shot echoed slightly off the walls. “Thompson and Ploughsmith your with me,” shouted Colonel Stuart “the rest of you take the hall.”

Unit A1 took the ladder to the overlooking balcony in the Council Room. They killed the guards silently, as the hostages were in the Council Seats below. They noticed that some of the guards were moving to lower levels for some reason. The hostages were surrounded by guards with their submachine guns at their waists. There were 14 of them, originally there were 19. They were going to have to wait for A2 if the hostages were going to live.

Another wave of guards was shot down by Unit A2 as they ran for cover. If the unit left their cover would mean death for at least one of them, but if they stayed there they’d never reach the Council rooms. But their first objective was to take out surveillance, this could be done with a grenade, but to sure they would have to cut some wires…

Colonel Stuart and his squad ran up the spiral staircase, their objective was the bell tower. There were a couple of guards in the small rooms to the side of the stairs, but so far no serious resistance.

Major Fredson ran behind a wooden tapestry for cover from the hurricane of bullets. He was a devout Christian and killing in a house God upset him, but if it was directed at Jaevoists it was surely justified he thought. He had already lost one man but had already secured the altar. He knocked two guards to the floor with gunfire, turned his gun to a flash of a gunshot and pulled the trigger.

Unit A1 snuck into the balcony below and snapped the guard’s necks and continued waiting.

Unit A2 had destroyed the surveillance consoles with a grenade and made a break for the door. One man pointed his gun round and fired blindly, then ran out still firing. He was killed for his troubles as was the man behind him. The five survivors of A2 avenged their comrades and made their way to the Council Room.

Corporal Thompson was shot through the head by a sniper from 30cm away, showering Colonel Stuart with blood and brains. He filled the Jaevoist sniper with lead and let Sergeant Ploughman take up position with his W200 Sniper and rushed back down the stairs.

Major Fredson and his men ran for cover behind the massive pillars and continued their no stopping monsoon of bullets at the Jaevoists. At least 20 of them lay dead on the hard stone floor, their blood steaming in the cold of the cathedral. “I’m coming; we’ve lost Thompson.” reported Colonel Stuart, Fredson rolled his eyes and scowled, he hated Stuart, as he was an atheist. More guards streamed through the door into the main hall, most didn’t make it past the first pillar. Fredson and his squad moved closer to the door, taking out the surviving two guards. Fredson was on his own on one side of the hall, his men, Privates Kipper, Rechardel and Harp on the other. They shot out of cover and fired through the open door into the back hall. Five Jaevoists were cut down as they charged at the door, the other fourteen dived for cover after mowing down Rechardel. Kipper and Harp threw their flash bangs through the door and charged with Fredson. The blinded guards were sitting ducks, and the back hall was taken just as they saw Colonel Stuart.

Unit A1 opened fire at the guards around the hostages when they saw unit A2 burst into the Council Room. Two of A1 dropped grenades into the balcony below, throwing the guards away from their posts, one over the railing into a hostage. One of the guards opened fire at the hostages whilst the two other survivors opened fire on Unit A2, wounded one of them. All were killed.

Both St. Dobson’s Cathedral and the Council Building were held until Regular reinforcements arrived to both locations. A First Aid Post was set up at St. Dobson’s and headquarters in the Council Building. This was the fist Bonzawaniiaen step back into Selcarvo.

30 Jaevoist prisoners were taken, and around 70 were killed. Unit A1 lost no men, Unit A2 lost three men and one man was wounded and Unit A3 also lost three men.

The two BRF (Bonzawaniiaen Regular Forces) Regiments took up positions around Selcarvo, waiting to charge in and liberate their beloved city with the next wave of allied soldiers. Many were from the city, and some had seen it fall. They wished they were with the Grey Berets, who were deployed at Selcarvo International because of their specialty in urban warfare. Units from the BPR (Bonzawaniiaen Parachute Regiment) had dropped into parts of the city where fighting was hot, but it was the BRF’s job to sit around and thunder their way through combat zones like clumsy buffaloes, but without them Bonzawaniia would had already fallen.

Grond Force Perspective:
The four HT-101 MICVs set up a half perimiter around the council building, ready to give suppressive fire for the advancing helicopters as needed.

Overhead the Mi-26 helicopters flew over to the building, anti-aircraft fire was light and sparodic small arms fire, nevertheless, the HT-101s sprang to life, raining .50 caliber BBs upon the enemy in a torent of fire as the men in the helicopter quickly dismounted on the roof.

The MICVs then started to move forward in two groups, each group consisted of 8 dismounted infantry, a regular MICV, and an MICV equiped with artillery rockets. A few burps of the flamethrower (From MICV) were used to scare off most of the Jaevoists, others ended up bieng shot, the disdmounted infantry acted as the group's very sensitive eyes and ears while one MICV acted as a shield, the other was pure fist.

A few clever snipers caused some trouble along the way, and were quicly dealt with by firing 40 mm fragmation grenades through the windows that they hid behind. They would worry about damage to these buildings later.

Upon reaching the gates of the Council Chambers, they charged, rockets of the trailing MICV were used to blast numerous holes into the security perimiter of the building as the other MICVs and dismounted infantry sprinted towards the door, breaching it open with 35 mm cannon fire followed be another tongue of flame from the HT-101s. This was quickly followed by the infantry which charged through the now ruined and burning hallway. Passing many charred bodies on the way, they struck them with bayonets to make sure they actually were dead, they would take no chances.

Airborne Perspective:
They passed the slower moving ground force and approached the council chamber rooftop, muzzle flashes of assualt rifles could be seen, but they didn't do anything for awhile, then responded by firing their personal weapons upon these terrorists, saving the rockets for what they expected to be captered SAMs and tanks, these targets however, never materialised, and so the rocket pods only added weight to the already large helicopters.

Luckily, the four MICVs provided plenty of addidtional firepower in the form of .50 caliber and 35 mm shells, which tore the roof and towers to pieces, chunks of debris, asnd eventually walls started to crumble under their massive firepower.

They lined the edge of the helicopter as the top ofthe roof came into sight, shooting Jaevoists as they scurried to the roof with their CM-26s. As they neared the roof, the men jumped out, and the helicopters moved away as fast as they could, the flight mechanic providing covering fire for both himself and their former cargo, they would return later to pick up the hostages.

The 16 men broke up into 4 groups of 4 men, each group would secure a corner of the building and work their way towards the center of the building, this was mostly to trap the Jaevoists inside, preventing them from reacting to the ground assualt that followed shortly afterwards.

The helicopters after the dropoff flew back to the MICV's to provide additional support and recieve mutual support from the ground assault force.

One time they spotted a group of Jaevoists setting up a rodblock out of old vehicles and gathered men behind them to give route the group into an ambush, the helicopters quickly put an end to this plan by firing a salvo of rockets upon the roadblock, destroying it utterly, the tanks and infantry then rolled right by with no opposition, completely unaware that they were walking over what should have been their exact places of death.

Airborne group after entering building
The place was surprising quiet after the initial resistance, one of the groups ran across another national group on a stairwell, gave each other information, and decided to go along with their plan, with the others acting as a diversion while flanking those who pinned group from A2.

Contact between 2 of the groups had been lost, and those 8 were presumed killed in an ambush while entering the building.

The others followed A2 and A1 preventing any of the terrorists from flanking them from behind, as the actual number of Jaevoists inside were much greater than speculated (PROHT estimated around 50, they ended up with over 100, as it was specualted that some Jaevoists managed to escape after wiping out half the airborne unit)

End?
The Ground assault entered the building, and were surprised to find the place had already been cleared, mostly, they caught a few Jaevoists attempting to escape through the front door, and eventually linked up with the others, they had taken most of their casualties simply getting to the building, and now their job would consist of clearing a landing zone for the helicopters, so that they may airlift out the hostages (which were fewer than expected) and prisioners (in seprate helicopters), so that they may take them to the safety of the airport.

Casualties ran at 10 dead, 3 wounded, they didn't bother counting dead Jaevoists.
(keep in mind I only sent 49 troops, so, even on paper, casualties are high [between 20 and 30% losses].)

Postions of Bonzawaniiaen Forces in and aroundSelcarvo
Grey Berets (urban specialists)-Selcarvo International
BPR (Bonzawaniiaen Parachute Regiment)-Council Building and St. Dobson's Catherdral
4th, 17th and 28th Infantry and 21st Arumored Divisoin-Around Selcarvo

The Grey Berets
The Grey Berets had orders to create a path to the Council Building and St. Dobson's Catherdral from Selcarvo International. The land around Selcarvo International had been the place of heavy fighting over the past few days as the Jaevoists attempted to recapture it. The Jaevoists forces there had suffered heavy casutilies and were easy to break through. The first wave cleared buildings and enaged any roadblocks. The second wave brought RPGs to clear the roadblocks, although they found that several had already been cleared. The Council Building was under siege and was bravely defended by the BPR, survivours of the BEAR Units and allied soldiers. Their besigers where flanked by the Grey Berets, killing 25 of the 80 Jaevoists and taking 15 prisioners. the rest escaped. The Catherdral was reaced without much fighting. Sentries were stationed along the roads between the airport, cahterdral and Council Building but little was done to recapture these buildings. 19 Grey Berets were lost and 14 were wounded, being 23% causluties (100 men were sent).

Infantry and Tanks around Selcarvo
The 4th, 17th and 28th Infantry and 21st Arumored Divisoin were sent in at the same time as the Grey Berets had broken through the roadblocks. The tanks' job was to destroy any roadblocks and pillboxes and to damage fortified buildings. The infantry's was to clear buildings and to kill or capture any surviving defenders. The first tanks in blew gaping holes in any pillboxes and buildings, allowing the infantry to fire into them and to enter the buildings. As the tanks rolled through the streets surrounded by infantry, Bonzawaniiaen infantry gave covery fire from the captured buildings. Brutal house-to-house fighting was expected and this was mostly true. Once the attackers were a mile into the city, defenses increased as more defenders were sent to defend from them. More Jaevoists were aviable now the Grey Berets had captured their objectives and the siege had ended. It looked like the battle would rage on through the night...

If anyone requires ground assitance, don't hesitate to ask.

I want you to clear the roads off the Jaevoists so that the main force will be able to move in swiftly. Stick with your teams and stay ahead of the Bonzawaniian force, fall back if you have to. Regular Forces in Selcarvo
Sergeant Olviers watched the soldiers from Nor nuin Giliath go ahead and waited for the next ambush. It came swiftly. The Jaevoists had finally gained control of one of the buildings to oliver's left and unleased a salvoe of RPGs at his squad. Three of nine of them were killed. "They got Corpral Bicknell!" screamed the conscripted rookie beside him, who had wet himself.
"His name was Walter, now shut up!" shouted one of the Corpral's buddies. Olivers fired a grenade into the captured building, clearing most of it. Thier orders were minimal damage, but this was hard to carry out. A hail of bullets wizzed into the crumbling wall the Sergeant was hiding behind. They had been pinnied down for at least an hour and the tanks sent to help had been destroyed, providing cover for the five other squads on the road. Most of the buildings around them were still being fought for and some had been completly demoloshied. The tanks were on thier way but the road was blocked and they'd probably never make it in time and all over infantry were engaged. "This is Sergeant Olivers to all frequencies, we need help!!!"

"How can we retreat when we are being pinned down? And it will take hours for those bloody tanks to get in! Wallace, James, clear the building off the Jaevoist!" The Capt. makes his way to the his command but stops out side of to smoke a Cigar. As he takes his first few puffs he is greated by "Wolf" of the 1st SFG. "The names Capt. McNeal, 3rd SOF Company, OHSOC. Im commanding all of -Outer-Heaven-'s Special Operations personal...." He says as he looks to the other 3 operators before finishing. Guestures to the 90 odd men over at a temporary barracks. "There isn't much use for Special Operation personelle. All the action our men have seen was capturing this airfeild." The Capt said," we just sent out 10 men to provide cover for a potential Medivac."
A radioman popped his head out of the door. "Capt. our tanks have started to take some small arms fire."
McNeal Tosses his Cigar asside. "Well thats my cue." He says as he enters the control room.

From the UH-60's, they could see the tanks being peppered by small arms fire. The pilots could see the destination clear as day, as coloums of smoke raised from the fight. "RPG!" is heard over the radio as the rocvket whizzes by the tanks and hits a building. One of the tanks machine gunners peppers the rockets origin.

Wolf hears the radio and the team cocks their M655s and then a C-17 lands on the runway. The aircraft's doors open and a group of men exit the aircraft with two M1126 ICVs. This was the Team 2's support element, a Stryker Patrol Unit of two M1126s and their crew. A Lt. greets Wolf. "I thought you might need us." Wolf looking at the ICVs."They got RPG protection, good. Listen, we're entering a city, so watch out for anything." Wolf and his men boarded one of the vehicles and the group headed into the city to support friendly forces.

"Just around this corner!" The UH-60 Pilot said to the Challangers as the Jaevoist RPGs collide with the freindly APC.
The lead tank turns the corner as the commander spots the RPG site, instantly relaying command to the gunner to destroy it. A shell flies from the tank as an RPG comes barreling twords it. The 2 explosions ignite together, as the ordanace of the RPG site dwarfs the on the Tank. As the smoke clears it becomes evident that the tanks armor absorbed the round as it was intended to. As the tanks roll up next to the APC, the AC-130 up above levels off and leaving the area to the UH-60's. A man pops his head out of a Tank turret and yells over to the ACP for any one to hear, "Get all your Critically wounded to the roof, and 2 of our Helos will EVAC them to a MASH!"

2 Mi-26 Halos...

Planning what? I didn't even have access to a map of the embassy or council chambers I was to assualt, and I believe I did pretty good for an Ad-Hoc operation.

On the strategic level, planning was pretty good simple, and detailed, rescue hostages, get intel, decide what to do from there.

Tactically, it involved a 2 pronged assault, one by land, another by air, with a preperatory rocket assault to suppress heavy resistance if it came under a Warsaw ghetto uprising scenario.

Upon reaching the house, plans involved a quick in and out, cordononing off the area, and capturing as many Jaevoists asd possable. Followed by holding the embassy until relieved.

That plan went kablamo when point resistance at the embassy was much stronger than anticipated (alluding to an outside arms supplier), and when they ran across another unit.

Question: Who's tanks are being shot at?

At this Point we are providing cover for members of the New Bonzawaniian army, If you can provide IFVs and men, I suggest a joint operation of OH Armor, OHSOF, And your IFVs and Personel. Our rally point will be at the airport, from this point our 2 remaining tanks will escort the Joint Task Force to a paint in the city, where we will rally up with 4 more tanks. From there we will roll up on the nearest embassy, suround it, and wait for -Outer-Heaven-'s new PysOps group to enter country. From there we will attemp to flush the Jaevoist's out with minimal force.

Roger that, we're already at the airport. Since we landed, armored elements from the 1st Armored Division have landed. We have on-station 120 Behemoth II heavy battle tanks, and 230 other various armored fighting vehicles, including 100 Armored Personnel Carriers.

We hope that our large Armored forces can be used to not only transport your and our troops, but our Behemoth II's are a dreadfully fearful sight. Nobody likes being shot at with 230mm cannons (reference DMG military for stats on behemoth ii).

We're ready when you, and anyone else who needs a lift, are. In each trip, we can put 1,700 men inside our armored vehicles, and carry another 9,000 in our humvees and SUV's. The rest can pile on top of the vehicles and get a lift that way. We're ready for you.

Lt. Masterson decided to act unilaterally on the issue, and with a few thumps on one of the Hurtian light tanks, and some hand gestures, the turret rapidly traversed and elevated to the approxomate position, then 'aimed' by visually 'sweeping' the area over with the main gunsight very slowly, upon finding the sniper hole, it let loose a volley of .50 caliber machine gun fire upon the suspected position.

The tank gunner had his left finger ready to squeeze some 35 mm hurt into the target should the M2 fail, while his right thumb floated over a button that could unleash 105 mm rockets in quick succesion, and his right index finger was no longer squeezing the trigger that fired the .50 cal, as only a short burst was needed to permemently silence that Jaevoist

The tank driver left the vehicle in park so thatthe gunner could squeeze some better accuracy from his guns. He also kept constant watch for any ambush.

The other 3 tanks churned towards the building, each taking a different road, Hurtian raiders rode on them in various ways, some simply clung to the hull, others enjoyed the 'comforts' inside, such as an ammo box and a place to sit down and overhaul your gun, some added long barrel extensions, making their guns look like a PTRS... Those people then snuck out of the moving tanks and took up hidden locations inside the city.

Lt. Masterson just shrugged.

"What did you expect me to do? Wait?"

as OH's men were prepairing to mount up, anouther call for support came from the radio. "Shit" McNeal called out as he received the message.

To the leaders of the Royal Code
Nor nuin Giliath has requested Armor and Air support. I suggest we divert our operation to there location. In lue of armor, we will provide support of 1 AC-130H Specter gunship, 6 UH-60 Blackhawks, 50 SOF Riflemen, and 10 SOF Sniper armed with Barret Light Fiftys. Once our Forces have hooked up with Nor nuin Giliath, I recomend we continue with them provided all support as needed.

As the Chaos od the airport continued, An OH C-130 landed on runway 236, and taxied over to the OH side of the tarmac and stopped. After minutes of idling, the rear opened up and a man dressed in Jeans and a t-shirt, wearing a SPEAR BALCS Plate carrier, stepped out. He made his way to the SOF barracks and said "Santa's here boys, And I brought some Xmas Cheer."
Soon after that delightful little spreach a Forklift oulled a large crate from the rear of the plane and made its way twords the barracks. "The New Special operation Combat Assualt Rifle, Light...Or Just SCAR-L. Its ment to replace your M4 Carbines. There is also a SCAR Heavy, chambered in dual 7.62X39/7.62X51, but to save us from having to issue every on new gear to accept the new mags, we just brought the 5.56 variant. As you would expect, it accepts M4 magazines. Its fire contol layout is identical to the M4, Except for the chatging handle which is closer to the G3 or the Mp5. For any other questions, Refer to the included instruction manual." The man continues with a joyful expression. "Well 'kids' Santa gotta go and spread more Christmas Cheer, Have fun and don't shoot your eye out!"
The man runs back to the rear of the C-130 and before too long the rear door is closed and the Plane is on its way back to the runway.

:ooc: So it's christmas?
Good point -Outer-Heaven- the Jaevoists/sepratists/rebels are well equiped because: alot of weapons had just been decommisioned and replaced by more advanced weapons by the army and were about to be sold, the Jaevoists have been planning for a long time so had made preprations and they're probably being supplied by Outer France, New Bonzawaniia's oldest enmy (which is my puppet nation), also it would be to easy if it was soldiers with SA-80s against rebels with spud guns and moonshine :D .
Also I only chose the Aslanic Embassy as the site for the weapon stash because it was the first thing that came inot my head, sorry.

IC: Colonel Stuart glanced out of the window, there were roadblocks ahead. "OK prepare for combat!" The APC opened fire at the roadblocks with it's TOW missle as the BEAR squad rushed out, over the road were allied forces but on this end there were the Grey Berets, who had been stuck here for most of the day. "Enter that building!" Screamed Stuart, pointing at the closest embassy, the APC providing covery fire as the squad rushed over to the wall. "Get the C4 here!"
"They're still with Perkins sir!"
"Well were is he?!"
"There, there and there sir."
"Damn, looks like we'll have to break through the roadblocks." Sighed the Colonel and took up a firing postion on a bit of car and took aim.

Olivers saw the RPG explode at the corner of his eye, support was here at last. Once the tanks had crumbled the building that alot of the fire was coming from Oliver's squad charged, entering the building beside it. One man cleared the room with his SPAS but was shot from the next room which was cleared by a grenade. The rest of the building was taken without any causulties. "Well that's it then, lets get this party started." General Hayden said.

A few commands later, the entire division was scurrying about, like ants.
When the executive offcer, Colonel Tom Powers, gave the command, 'Saddle up!', damn-near instantly the entire division was underway, headed towards Nor nuin Giliath positions.

Inbound from the coast, elements from the 1st Armored Division, 1st Royal Army, were thundering towards the same positoin.

Both chuncks of forces arrived at the city at roughly the same time. The Nor nuin Giliathians had the place surrounded, but little progress was being made, by the look of it. Men on both sides were going down.

General Hayden sent a telegram to the leaders of both Outer Heaven and Nor nuin Giliath, "Breaker, breaker, this is General Rick Hayden, 612th Airborne, we have arrived with 10,000 combat troops and a couple hundred tanks. Let's split up our positions surrounding the city into thirds. My forces are going to take the stretch on the north side, and advance south, towards the town hall. Be sure to let our tankers know when you're getting close, our 230mm guns pack a hell of a whallop. Out."

Overhead, Royal Navy jets screamed by, orbiting the city in a low orbit, making gun runs on the tall buildings, and down in the streets.

A few miles to the rear, the 23rd Royal Artillery Battallion was froming up its firing line to support the ongoing incursion. Once they recieved coordinates, all 40 guns would open fire.

General Hayden watched from his command tank through his binoculars as his forces poured into the north side of the city, every time one of the Behemoth II tanks fired, it seemed like all the small arms fire stopped for a moment, under the utter shock of the huge 230mm guns, two cannons of which were mounted on each tank.

It was not long before the tanks, and fighting vehicles, and the men, were beyond visual range, penetrating deep into the city in a rapid, highly aggressive invasion. Up in the city, whenever a door would flop open to expose a enemy machine gunner, that man either recieved a whallop of small arms fire from Royal Troopers, a burst of 30mm cannon fire from the AFV's, or a huge 230mm shell from a Behemoth II.

After an hour's worth of work, over 230 blocks of the northen side of the city were now officially secure.

Teams One and Two,with the exception of snipers and spotters, will fast rope onto the roof and help garrison the building. IC:

As dusk came, the northern half of the city was under the control of the Federation. Royal Troopers had begun roaming the catacombs of sewer and subway systems while the main forces stopped to alternate chow time.

The next two hours saw all the men fed, and the advance was back underway.

Eventually, the first Behemoth II in the main collumn turned a corner to at last witness the Town Center. They also witnessed a huge barrage of RPG's and anti-tank guns, so many of them, that the lead Behemoth II was actually knocked out.

But behind it, the other vehicles were not. With their first salvo spent and now reloading, this was a prime opportunity for the Royal Armor to take some real estate.

The firefight was brief, it only took 10 shots of 230mm fire to scare off the remaining seperatists around the town center, which now had a huge gaping, burning hole in it's left wing. The tanks set up a ring of steel, and the ground forces stormed inside.

Vicious firefights rang out in the hallways, and several Royal Troopers were killed, many more wounded. But for every Royal Trooper who fell, at least 5 seperatists died with him.

The building was rigged with booby traps, leading to further casualties, but to no ultimate prevail. The roof was eventaully reached, cleared, and the flag of the United Federation of the Royal Code was hoisted. The lead majority of the city had been conqeured.

But down on ground level, Major Deans saw his own flag hoisted, and immedately made a call on the radio 'Get that flag down now! We are not conquerors of this nation! Hoist the native flag!" And so it happened.

With the town hall secure, the Royal Forces were going to wait for the other allys to catch up and meet them at the town center. The entire northen half of the city now belonged to the Federation.

He was a resistance member and had escaped his captors when the building was being kept in crumbled when a massive shell destroyed most of it and some of his fellow resistance members. Others resistance members showed themselves around the city as more of them were freed. They captured weapons stashes, ambushed Jaevoists and stole their vehicles. Now well equipped, they could take on a more important role in the liberation of the city, although only 10% was still in Jaevoists hands.

"We've lost another!" Shouted Major Fredson.
"Damn," Stuart knew he couldn't break the roadblock with just infantry, and called in the BAF (Bonzawaniiaen Air Force) to destroy the ministry, intelligence told them that the hostages had been moved or killed, God knows where and apologies to The Aslanic Mountains weren't his problem.

The MiGs flew fast and low, unleashing their high explosive payload of missiles onto the Aslanic Embassy, destroying it outright. The missiles would have been enough, but the embassy was stacked to the roof with ammunition which added to the destruction, the embassies next to it were badly damaged , and the explosion distracted the Jaevoists from the attacking infantry and light tanks, allowing them to pour through and take the street with less causalities, the separatists had nowhere to run and many prisoners where taken.

The platoon sergeant and his lead corporal who had expected to simply return a salute, saw Carl Sweetray go down, and they called a medic over immedately.

Meanwhile, the Royal Forces set up a strong outer defense around captured terriories, and began more thouroughly checking the buildings. There was still distant gunfire from other nation's battling the seperatists, but the Royal Forces were pretty much avoided. It's only common sense not to piss off a tank that boasts two 230mm guns each.

The fire on the left wing of the town center had been extinguished, and most of the valuables salvaged, carpets, paintings, china, etc, and gathered outside the building.

General Hayden's orders still stood, Royal troops would hold their positions until the other allies captured the rest of the city. Royal forces would only continue to advance if requested. Otherwise, General Hayden and Colonel Powers were simply waiting for the next meeting of allied leaders.

Colonel Powers issued only one request, "Get me a casualty count." All through the 612th Airborne and 1st Armored, squad leaders and platoon leaders began taking accountability for combat action. The statistics would not be far behind.

"Somebody's coming to help us!" Cohen shouted. The soldiers did not cheer, there were only four fighting men left. "Lance Corporal Hans, send up the red smoke near that goddamn AT gun so that -Outer-Heaven-'s gunships will be able to take it out."

I'm sorry but to say that we only have four main battle tanks and 21 operatives from the Special Operations Brigade near Selcarvo. The rest of our forces in New Bonzawaniia are guarding an important city (OOC: New Bonzawaniia, I need a name for the city). A major force is on its way.

Best wishes for your soldiers.

After recieving the message, General Hayden ordered the advance to continue.

The convoys formed back up, the soldiers got back into sweeper formations, buildings began to be raided, and the tanks began to thunder down the streets.

The advance was slow, and very cautious. The Federation did not like to lose soldiers to uncessesary carelessness.

With only 10% of the city left to capture, it would only be a matter of time.

At some point, the Hurtian Marine raiders hit a snag, they had lost contact with their allies, and just recently came under heavy Jeovoist fire.

One RPG struck the front glacis of an HT-101 carrying wounded, the shell penetrated, but was caught by the tank's front mounted transmission, engine block, and firewall.

The HT-101 returned fire as the wounded were removed to the other APC, snipers then became more cautious, and became more proactive in their shooting, normaly hosing a window down with fully automatic rifle fire upon seeing even movement, lage fortified buildings that otherwise blocked progress where destroyed by a salvo of rockets from each HT-101 carrying them, these tanks then reloaded their launchers, freeing up their internal cargo space for more wounded.

Regular infantry then paired off with snipers and escorted them into cleared houses in order for them to cover the armored assualt on what remained of the city.

At another point, heavy artillery fire fell upon them, they could not tell if it was friendly fire or not, as they could not get any contact with their allies, thankfully, the shelling stopped soon after. They took another 6 casualties (badly wounded, but not dead)...

Wounded who still felt like fighting sat themselves on the rear of the APCs and acted as a lookout.

It was in a looted bank, that Sergeant Domingez and his squad found themselves in a erriely quiet setting. Coming from the back of the building, as they were about to enter the lobby, the could hear severl sets of heavy boots thumping on the floor.

Domingez motioned for 'prepare to assault' and they formed up. His Corporal took point, and took a peek around.

As his head came about, a soldier yelled out, 'Freeze!'

The corporal widthdrew his head.

"This is the Royal Army!" Sergeant Domingez yelled. "Surrender or state your trait!"

Later on he felt like a fool, he had been yelling at the forces of Hurtful Thoughts.

The Allies had met. The City had fallen. Only isolated pockets remained to be captured.

OOC: Guineva, Bonzawaniia's biggest port, and probably where all forces travelling by boat would have landed.

IC: Colonel Stuart shook hands with Sergeant Olivers at the Bonzawaniiaen Building of Culture, the last major building to be taked by New Bonzawaniiaen forces in Selcarvo. Now Selcarvo had been liberated only one city was left in in Jaevoist hands (Couple, on border with Outer French border) and that and all other towns in Jaevoist hands were not defened enough to fight off the allies. The biggest job now was to clear up the mess, but the fight wasn't over...

Frogs giving sitcks and stones to menace. Can't touch this. Hammer time?

Chariman Clarkson recived this message at 5am, he translated and groaned.
<Message from BMI Operative 53 to the Chariman>
Outer France suppiling Jaevoists. Cover still not blown. Should ring be de-stabilised?

"Why do I have to be called Emma?"
Clarkson informed the leaders of his allies and asked that no action would be taken until more information was uncovered, New Bonzawaniia had been at war with Outer France before.

The Allies had met. The City had fallen. Only isolated pockets remained to be captured.

Lt. Masterson was willing to forgive Domingez for his mistake, for had he not acted like a police officer, he would have been shot instinctively by the Marine raiders.

The unit reformed and they took a head count of who remained unhurt.
10 dead, 9 wounded, of 49 troops so that leaves 30 men (then subtract 12 to crew the HT-101s and another 4 from the Mi-26s) 13 infantry, 3 tanks /w/ 2 rocket launchers (no more reloads, ) and Lt Masterson.

3 infantry per tank
Masterson is with the wounded 9 in the non-rocket wielding HT-101.
2 sniper teams (one sniper and one grenadier)

(Started with 30 infantry, now 14, yes, I have taken very heavy losses, as infantry has recieved ovwer 50% combat losses)

Chances are, of the wounded, 3 are still able to fight on a limited basis (walking wounded).

An HT-101 can only carry 6 stretchers...
So, AMbulance loadout:
6 badly wounded inside, being treated by Lt Masterson
3 lightly wounded riding atop
3 Healthy infantry walking

A tremendous roar comes from above as the AC-130 rains 20, 40 and 120mm shells down into the red smoke. After only a few seconds, the guns silenced as the men could hear the didstant roar of the Gunships engines. After 15 minutes, as some gun runs on inbound techincals, the rumble of the Uh-60s vibrates though out the building. As the rumbling continues 8 men enter the room. "Friendlies.." the lead man calls out.
His grimley looks around the room and says, "How many wounded do you have?" as 8 more men enter the room and take up positions at the windows.

"Ten thousand fighting men, and six hundred wounded or dead. Not too too shabby. Six hundred more than i'd like to hear about though." Colonel Powers said. "Let's get our wounded boys home."

Meanwhile, General Hayden sent the leaders of Outer Heaven and Hurtful thoughts a message,

"With the fall of this city, we must move on to our next priority target. What seperatist positions remain to be attacked?"

Staff Sergeant Oliver, lowered his assult rifle after the men revealed themselves. "We have one, he's over there," Oliver pointed to a dark figure in a corner, "Sergeant Brown. He has been shot in his left arm. I suggest you take him to the nearest field hospital immediately, he is getting unconcious."

"The rest take up your position there," Oliver gestured for the -Outer-Heaven-'s SOF to reinforce Cohen and Hans, the other surviving operatives of Squad Two. Just then the rumbling of two Giliathian Merkava Mk4s was heard. The tank gunners fired at the Jaevoists who saw the tanks coming and retreated. The shots killed two and wounded one of the Jaevoists who survived the AC-130's attack.

In total, 16 men had entered the room and The last Black hawk was dropping off the last 8 men as they.
"Hey Rick, take Bobby and get that guy to to roof," the Fire Team leader said to 2 men in his team, pointing to the man in the corner. "Any one else in the building. Dead, Wounded, Living?"

The 2 men approched Sgt Brown, "Bobby" lifting him into a fireman's carry. The men rushed out , "Rick" leading the way.

Upon the roof the 3rd fire team touched down, The roof was rather small for the UH-60 but there was enough room for its purpose. Jaevoist up on roof tops would make accational pop shots now and then but nothing too exciting...till..."RPG! There Port side, on the roof top!" A man yelled over the comms system.

As if instictually, all the Blackhawks took up evasive manuvers. the RPG collided with the building that the one lone UH-60 was on. "He's up there, Yeah do you see him. Behind that pillar thing?" Thse spotter from FT three said to his sniper, Follwed by 2 .50BMG rounds into the Jaevoist insurgent.
As the men checked there comrade for casualties, "Rick" exits the stairwell. "Bobby fell with that blast, he twisted his ankle real bad and hes bleeding from his head, Some one come down and help me!" He yelled.
The nearest man ran to him and followed him down to the stairs to find "Bobby" in a small pool of blood on the stairs with Sgt. Brown next to him.

So, can we assume it all worked out, add a few more casualties to top it off, and assume 'the usual'

I guess the thread won't [completely] die till an epilogue is written, starting with thread starter.*

*At least that is the case with more powerful/popular threads, but that doesn't mean we don't need to give this a propper send-off into the jolt abyss.

Essentially it is a final post from each RPer RPing them leaving and the media spin on the matter.

It's the guy riding off into the sunset kind of ending... Or in this case, hopping onto a chopper and looking back upon the ruins...
