Fuggalania shopping for weapon systems

Born from the ashes of the ancient nation of fuggolia, we come to reclaim our birthright.

Unfortunately almost all of Fuggolias vast military might is since lost (although we do stumble onto ancient weapon caches now and then).
Therefore the High Council has decided that military equipment be purchased, nothing expensive, refurbished equipment is preffered and we shall consider most offers.

DEMOCRATIC SOVIET REPUBLIC OF KAHANISTAN
Ministry of Defense

We recommend the Merkava IV (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merkava) main battle tank, the mainstay of our armored forces since the invasion and devastation of our country by AMF.

For artillery we generally use the 210mm Al-Fao (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Fao) self-propelled gun, the largest mobile artillery in the world.

The largest warship currently serving in the Republic Navy is the Emmanuel Goldstein-class (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=502211) heavy battleship. We are under invasion, however, and cannot currently move such a warship through the blockade without sustaining severe damage to the hull. We will, however, refer you to the Kahanistan Military Industries storefront, which still conducts business as usual.

Signed,
General Nora Kasagawa,
Minister of Defense

(The storefront is in my sig, if you're confused, KMI Storefront.)

Thank you for you communication, your proposals will be reviewed.
As yet we have not the resources to maintain something as grand as a heavy battleship, although it is impressive.
We must comment thought General, are you sure you are able to spare any weapon systems, whilst under the threat of invasion?
Oslea

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Oslea

We recognise the fact your country has no weapons, and therefore no means of defense. This fact may invite the threat of invasion, and as an act of generosity we have wired to you $2,655,000 Universal Standard Dollars, that can be used to buy an infantry package at the Pudite Military Arms Storefront, Oslea's primary weapons distributor, located here. (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=435395) Future needs for weapons can be satisfied there, provided your nation can afford them.

Have a nice day.
Markus Bennett, Foreign Affairs Minister

ooc: The infantry packages are all the way at the bottom of the storefront, I believe, just before the "Braydistan" guy makes a post.

The High Council extends its thanks to both Barbarosea and Oslea with regard to their pledges and in Osleas case, financial aid.

The high Council has drafted a brief outline of what should be required and certain weapons systems have been suggested.

This list does not include support packages, supply trucks and the like would also be required

Air Force.

Man Power numbers are still scretchy, but the equipment our government deems relevant is as follows.

24 fighter bombers- Mirage F1, F5E, F-8 Crusader being considered models.

12 Strike bombers- a limited offensive capablity is desired, for this role the F-105 Thunderchief would be considered if available at the right price.

15- Transports-we would like to opt for the C-130 unless a viable alternative is found.

30- advanced trainers- BAe Hawk or Alpha jet would be most suited.

40-50- basic trainers such as BAe Bulldog

20- transport helicopters suck as Westand wessex

25- scout/light attack/trainer helicopters- We have the Hughes 500 series in mind.

Army-

We selected the H&K G3 as standard rifle for our armed forces and would be looking to purchase surplus stocks.

In general we shall require around 80 MBT, the T-72 or M-60 would suit us.

a similar number of IFVs would be required like the M-113, also artillery pieces and SAM launchers.

Navy

For now a dozen torpedo boats and a number of ASW helicopters. With possible consideration of a couple of frigates and diesel electric submarines.

We of course understand that the full range of installed equipment might be superflous to your requirements and can offer a tailored specification to fit your needs at reasonably discounted price. On browsing your lsit of requirements we did take note of the fact that while not super sonic a light fighter modification of the Super Hawk would exceed the capabilities of the aircraft you have mentioned, making full BVR combat capability available at a very competitive price.

We do on the whole beleive that your expectations as to what you could afford are some what low and that many of the items you specify are of such limited capability that they might prove to be a liability in service. As such we would like to request the tiem to prepare a more detailed proposal covering a number of your requirements that will feature a number of advanced yet affordable indiginous Crookfur designs.

Yours respectfully

NWI would like to suggest to you the Z-3 (http://home.att.net/~mlbr24/z.htm#z3) Light Cargo Plane for your needs for a transport aircraft. While we realize that it can not carry as much, we believe that they are much hard to shoot down with almost double crusing speed, and a smaller profile. Priced at an economic 32.6 Million each, your total would be 489 Million plus tax, bringing your total to $491,445,000.

NWI would also like to reccomend the Z-1c (http://home.att.net/~mlbr24/z.htm#z1c) to fufill your needs as a fighter-bomber. With over 3x the amount of external hardpoints as an F-8 and more advanced computers, the Z-1c can track multiple targets at one time, giving you a much enhanced offensive and defensive capibilites. Priced at a low 8.3 Million, your total would be 199 Million plux tax, bringing your total to $200,196,000.

If you choose to order both options from us, your total would be $691,641,000, which could be paid off over 10 (NS) years. Your annual payment would be a low $70.2 Million.

Thank you for considering NWI

our high grade vehicles are likely too expensive for you

However, you should consider the purchase of a IAPC's use for troop transport, medical, communications, and they come with sensor suites, and antipersonnel weapons.

our war buggies, may also be of use, and are reltively low cost. 4 wheel offroad, desert and jungle capacity. they come with a small mortar/grenade launch system attached as well as a heavy machine gun. Armouring is done with a composite synthetic material, a synthetic form of carbon nanotubles. with capacity for plating to be put over top of the vehicle, but it is still quite vunerable to antiarmour fire. the mortar system is similar to a m224. The have good road speed (100+ mph) and all this for $50,000. (this includes the mortar system (detachable and mounted into an automated swivel. the machine gun system, with auto swivel (joystick control) or can be manually operated. as well as automated canister feed switching. It also includes a "periscope" infared and night vision goggle system, that is also usable as binocular. There is also a plug in for the dian standard smart key and a small computer, including navagation. antilock breaks, shocks, automated driving controls, cruise and even a pull over trap made of a syntethic nanocarbon composite to secure against small arms fire. AND air conditioning and heat. the tires themselves are also made of armour resistant material. A forward wight pole system can also be used for mine detection, that can be loaded into the jeeps computer system, or attached to a passenger seat system. (note that the system runs off of water, hydrogen or methane and is a cyclic non exhaust producing system (exhausts are stored internaly and can be taken out, or if need be dumped, but in ICCD there are chemical banks etc.. for fuel residues)

ICCD also has a surplus of used IAR-1 (assualt rifles) (will sell for $5000 each (very good weapon) and IMP-1's (for $300 each) ammo is seperate but can also be purchased.

ICCD also has a number of old transport aircraft that it would be willing to sell, as we are upgrading.
(and the fleet life is over extended)

also old body armours ... what are you looking for?

we have a lot of "dated equipment" that is being used for training in our cadet corps.

--------

also if you are interested in slightly more expensive units. what about

a seamodified SU-47 type aircraft? $25 million, these systems are converted to work on hydrogen oxygen mixture (and are not interchangable with most air forces that use kerosene, without refit0 (this is selling "AT COST", normally this aircraft with sell on profit for $50+ million

we have high mach missle system.. if you are buying.. we will sell you first rate air defence missles, patriot type system that fire at mach 4+, nothing less will do.

check out the factbook and go to the trade forum if you are interested in indepth trade talks

Once again we thank all interested parties.

Our other sources have been able to aqquire much of the stated equipment at a reasonable price. Although doubtless in the future these systems will be replaced and we will reconsider the offers.

However as a poor, sparsley populated nation with a large coastline (we inhabit most of what was once the Empire of Fuggolia),
the Patriot type missle system has caught the ear of the Fuggalanian Defense forces.
And we would be keen to purchase this from [NS]ICCD-Intracircumcordei.

We have evaluated the CFT-3E Super Hawk offered by Crookfur and have judged that as it would certainly double as a combat aircraft in times of Crisis, it is worth the cost. We would be keen to purchase 30 units plus support packages.

Barbarosea's Z series did generate much interest, but it came down to a matter of cost, we do however hope to review the range as our armed forces grow.

On another note, the F-8E & F-105 aircraft that we have purchased could do with some upgrades, if any nation can offer packages.

Many Thanks for all support shown

My Dear Councillors,

I would like to extend my thanks for selecting the CFT-3E Super Hawk to fufil your requirements and I am delighted to inform you that the first batch of aircraft will be ready for you within 4months.

Each airframe ordered does, of course, coem complete with a full support package and we will be happy to offer full training for your ground and instructional air crew on how to make best use of your new aircraft. We could provide a package of enhanced support and training if you woudl feel this might be beneficial.

Crookfur Arms would also be delighted to offer our services in upgrading some of your tactical aircraft with a rnage of options including new avionics, redesigned cockpits, new engines, expanded weapons compatability or even structural improvements. We shall forward a full set of proposals shortly.

Yours respectfully
