A new continent was found deep under Antaricia. (too lazy for a damned story right now)

Each one has atleast ten million inhabitants, a million of which will fights to the death, and have rifled muskets. But they addept quickly and will soon make bolt action.

OOC: The cost of your land is blood, not money.

Colors:
Light Colors mean you're still fighting for this territory, dark means you've PWNZERED the natives.

I'll claim the western-most island

OOC: Column Potato Continent, is where this takes place.

IC: The small survey ship landed, and three squads of Crusaders, accompanied by two Jötnar squads, disembarked. They marched into the nearest village. Seeing these strange looking armored forms, one of the Potatoers reacted according to human nature. He saw something he didn't understand, so he shot it.

The Jötnar he shot, was, understandably, not thrilled. So began the war, as the Crusaders and Jötnar fought their way back to the ship, with only one Crusader dying, and radioed for reinforcements. They then fought their way back onto shore, shortly before the ship was destroyed via cannon.

OOC: Yes... but it was against a foe who's weapons were more or less unable to adequately pierce the armor, and who didn't have a sizable military in that place at that time. Mostly they were fighting hunters, not the military...

Emperor Victor I of Icovir sent a small squad at first. He didn't want to send all 11,150,000 troops just yet unless things got ugly.

He sent 10 ships off to the new island. Each ship contained 1,500 soldiers (15,000 soldiers) to the island. Each ship also contained tanks, anti-aircraft weaponry, artillery guns (for bunker positions), and missiles.

The ships took off after recieving the Emperor's blessing. The ships were expected to reach the new land and colonize it in less than 3 weeks.

3 ships had landed already, with the other 7 in tow

The soldiers didn't want to perform the annexation ceremony just yet, but wanted to be sure that the island was theirs'.

The soldiers began setting up camp, and the tanks rolled off the ships, when bullets began flying from the direction of the unknown.

OOC: Also, I have 30 F-15 bombers and 50 Gnats on each Carrier I'll send. I'll send 4 Carriers.

OOC: DAAAAAANG, old stuff!

IC: The Icovirian troops fired "Hail-Mary"s back. They fired in all directions until they heard someone drop.

A Captain of one of the squads then threw a grenade into the general direction of the sound. They heard screaming and some natives fly up.

Tanks started shooting their artillery guns and tank guns. This battle was going in Icovir's favor so far...

"Sir, sir! We need air support NOW! We need bombers at coordinate 2,4. I repeat, we need bombers at coordinate 2,4!" screamed a Captain of a squad.

"Roger that, Marine." was the reply. "Expect bombers in 10 minutes".

At that moment, 20 bombers flew off from their carriers and to the point located at coordinate 2,4. That was about 1 mile from the Marines' position.

The bombers flew over the island, patrolling it first. Then, they began bombing the northern part of the island.

It looked as if many natives died, but the bombers soon lost ammo. It was now up to the Marines to conquer the island.

Soldiers began setting up mortars and firing them inward to the island's center. When fire stopped in the position the soldiers were at, they began to move deeper into the island.

Firefights erupted again, but were quickly ousted by the Black Eagle Tanks. Major Wepson, head of the 31st Marine Regiment, called for bombers.

"Sir, we need bombers to bomb the area. Not too many, just a few. We have some of the island under control. Repeat, we need bombers to bomb the area, but we have some of the island under control. Over".

10 more bombers launched form a Carrier located near Axe Head Island Continent to bomb the area.

OOC: Just a quick question about this, but do any of you think I can win an island there purely by air force? I don't really want to deploy any of my ground troops, I'd probably lose half of them as I only have around 1 million ground troops and tanks and stuff...

OOC: I'll claim 'Bayonet People's of Morrician's Eastern Island'

IC: Various broadcasts and spotty reports of people apparently moving in and taking over SOMETHING under Antartica alerted the skaven to mobilize a rapid force to make a push into this new continent.

A vast military force was already assembled in the artic, they were assigned to various oil rigs the Under-Empire had established through dealings with New Gothland. Now these crack winter-corps would head into the new continent while other fresh troops were cycled up to take their posts.

(OOC: I'm assuming the blue is ice, not actually wet water, if it isn't then the stuff is brought on ice-breaking transport ships xD)

The heavy set snow-tracks on the Mk 2 Revenants ground up the firmly packed snow while bone-chilling wind shreeked across, threatening to strip the armor off the tank. Riding behind the turret and inside Fusche 3 transports were white-clad skaven who each clutched a russian weapon.

The 67th 'Snow Rats' and 68th 'Winter Rifles' were fairly small compared to most Corps, but this was due to a fact that most of their slaves perish in the cold. To offset this fact however, the nubmers of Clanrats and Stormvermin were signifigantly higher.

This veteran status and vital role led to them being supplied with decent quality winter camo and clothes, even rifles that had been altered for artic conditions.

Accompanying these vehicles were vast pieces of machinery that were simply flat pieces of terrain with a cab for the driver. These were lift off and landing pads for their modified VA-3 Lucifers. They've been realtered to become VTOL bombers.

As the vehicles began to grind off of the snow-covered ice and onto the native's island, the mobile howitzer Paladin's began firing off shells at anything that looked even remotley habitable, odd foaming surrounded the barrel, this stuff was designed to insulate the abrrel so the rapid change of cold-to-hot wouldn't destroy it.

VA-3 Lucifers started carrying out firebombing attacks on anyone who started to flee, instead of targetting the people themselves, they dropped the bombs in their avenues of retreat so as to trap them between a wall of chemical flames and the skaven assault...

The bombers bombed 1 mile away from the Marines' current positions, and the Marines began moving deeper into the island once again.

Meanwhile, another of the 7 ships landed, and the soldiers on this ship began patroling the shores. They wanted to make sure no natives were going to attack them.

Submarines were sent out to guard the island from underwater, but they weren't due to reach the island until 2 days.

Meanwhile, the Marines engaged in another short firefight. The tanks, once again, quickly took care of the natives.

The Marines took control of the center of the island, but weren't going to officially annex it yet. They set up mortars around the area and began firing in all directions except the one which they came from.

They began setting up mini-bunkers and guarded them with tanks, soldiers, and artillery.

The soldiers of the first 3 ships were currently guarding the center of the island. The next 2 ships would guard the landing spot, and the last 2 would conquer the rest of the island.

The extraction ship sped in at full speed. An assesment of the native populaces had revealed that taking the island would carry a heavy cost of goods and supplies, and that it would probably just be better to pull out. As a result, the ship was merely to extract the Crusaders and Jötnar and pull out.

It accomplished this by raking the shores with machine gun fire, and, when the natives drew back, launching a speedboat. Another Crusader died under a storm of musket fire, as well as three crewmen on the boat, but then it was moving. The last of the crewman died as it pulled away.

The rest of the ships landed, and they began their duties.

1,500 men joined the other 1,500 men in patroling the area where the Marines first landed.

3,000 men began to walk around the island in order to oust the Natives. With their tanks, this can be done very easily.

Firefights erupted when a Native shot and killed a Captain of one of the squads walking around the island.

Troops began to fire back at that native when 50 more popped out. The tanks were behind the troops, so it was all up to the troops in this battle. There was no highland, so snipers were useless.

Soldiers started throwing flashbang grenades, which worked. They rushed the natives and began shooting them. The tanks finally arrived and fired their tank guns. Natives died all around the Marines.

Soon, the firefight was over. 50 Marines died, but the natives were still slaughtered. The Marines continued their attempt to conquer the island as if untouched...
