Today at 5:10pm, thousands gathered around the National Institute for Space Studies and Aeronautics (NISSA) main launch pad, located outside Beenland City. At that time, the count down began, and the Ed States' first aircraft into space, known as "The Fox", named for the ship that discovered Lanfalder Island (where the Ed States is located) took off. The mission take off was a success. The mission for the shuttle crew includes extensive studies and sattellite emplacement. Once the crew returns in several months, they will surely be treated as heros. Ed States Prime Minister Henry Randolph commented today, saying that "...this is only the beginning of space travel and exploration for the Ed States..." and that "...we are one step closer to being recognized as a world power!"
