General Iyatura Utragari stood outside his snowclad tent, The Revolutionary Army of Dryd, was moved back from occupying a recently conquered territory to the northern front against thier long term enemies the Donarans, Utragari's army had seen so much fighting already, and were the most experianced army in the Dryd Army, they had been the first to rise up and lead the assault against Kessar, the nation they were rebelling against. Dryd had once been a large and powerful nation, a spinoff colony of a great distant empire, it eventually fell into ruin and its planets became parts of new nations, though the people were still filled with Dryd blood and ideals, they lay dormant until now. They had torn Kessar asunder and had taken every inch of it save its holdout on Tarkenaey. The rapid rate of expansion meant that most soldiers were hardly trained, poorly dressed and lightly armed, they were however swarming in huge numbers and were now using their momentum to reclaim their old territory, that extended into Donaria and parts of other nations. There had been terribly fierce fighting on Tambolinn, which was holding out when the rest of the Donarian planets around it had already fallen, it held a considerable garrison and the natives tenacity was quite admirable, however things were about to change, an unwritten rule for centuries in this region had been that nuclear wqeapons simply wouldn't be used, their destructive potential on an interplanetary scale was far too dangerous, but Dryd had no sense sentimalities, they were going to take back their birthright by whatever course neccesary. A nuclear weapon had been hidden in the western part of the city, left behind a farced retreat, with the loss of this city, Tambolinn would lose 80% of their power and without power they were doomed to fall quick and easy. As the bomb went off and the ground erupted in a spray of concrete everyone except Utragari was surprised and stunned, he would send forces in after the dust settled, even if they were exposed to the radiation, they would be easily replaced.....
