I don't get why egypt would have it's own leader listed if it was your territory. I couldn't even play portugal and it was my nephew.

OOC: I think technically Egypt was some form of dependency of the Ottomans, or a codominium between Britain and the Ottomans. Gets messy cos the Sudan was a codominium of Britain and Egypt...

ICB: Japan feels it has nothing to learn from the Sick Man of Europe, except what not to do. Obviously relations with the Sublime Porte are kept cordial, but no substantive agreements are made.
