I know you aren't allowing existing African nations in, but if you want someone to occasionally role-play some primitive natives in a battle, I'm your man. Basically, you could just tell me "hey, I want to fight a hostile tribe with "x" number of warriors", and I will role-play accordingly. I wouldn't be able to keep up if I played all the natives, so I would only do so when requested. I figure that might be more fun for some of you than just saying you took whatever land and posting some casualties...

It isn't my place to decide what you can keep.

I just wanted to remind you that the continent you are trying to conquer and modernize has no roads, bridges, cars, power grids, plumbing, and all that jazz. Everything has to be built from scratch, and most of the people helping you don't understand your language or modern technology. Trying to do this on a small budget while you are fielding a big army (relative to your size) and buying up weapons is going to bankrupt you fast.

No, I chose a relatively southern beach near where the Red Sea meets the Indian Ocean, but I am assuming you are not bombarding all the beaches, more so as the ones closest to the larger communities. All I am after hear is the oil really and the other natural resources of the interior.

I make a map on how to divide it and on what to charge you for the terriotory as a war between our nations would be rather costly if went into a global war, which even though I may win due to a large population will leave me to vunerable and an occupation of your land would be to costly in the long run and end up putting in a peaceful goverment in its stead.

Eh? Where was OOC knowledge used there? If you refer to me attacking Yemen early, that was partly me realizing that Yemen wasn't where the civil war was, and perfectly reasonably noticing Scandinivins moving troops in that direction, not to mention the fact that the transmission wasn't labeled SIC. So...?

1. I have bought Yemen from Gente Del Agua who is the legal holder of the land.
2. I have good reason to keep peace with the Aeson who borders one of my colonies, a powerful country, and he has not done any harm to my nation and has not shown any desire to harm my interests in the other parts of Africa.
3. I have the manpower and resources to put down any given resistance.
4. I have no need of the resources and money you have to offer.
5. I am selling a part of Yemen to Aeson because of my previously desired hope of keeping a good relations with him.
6. To that I see no logic in me selling you any or the whole of Yemen.

2. I guess I didn't put too much description into how bad the civil war was that everything technological had been pretty much destoryed except for weapons.
3. The Emperor incepted the telegram, but if it had gotten to the Latican Republic Command, they'd probable say yes too.

I actually wasn't really aware you were going after Yemen until after I'd started talking about my invasion with Gente Del Agua, so I didn't even have any OOC knowledge. I stepped up my invasion because of Scandinvins.

I didn't copy anybody's offer. I invaded. Again, this seems more of a problem with Scandinivins that me.

If you did not equip these people, where are they getting their combat gear (including guns and ammo)? If you are not feeding them, how are they surviving? If you are not paying them, why in God's name are they not deserting en masse?

And it seemed that you colonized the area at the same time that we all did. Though you said nothing about colonizing after your initial invasion, I assumed that you did. If not, then it would just be deep territory controlled by natives but claimed by you, except for the coast, which would be held by you from your initial invasion, but still not colonized.

I did not expect specific numbers, just general support. I usually do not number my logistical support, though I do provide good enough background that everyone can know that I have real logistical support for my forces. If need be, I can even come up with good numbers based on my given information.
