Following a recent CA victory over the Arabian nation of Icovir and their allies by a combined Beiraqi/Griffincrest force, the Griffincrest Corporation was awarded the island of Bahrain as terms of Icovirian surrender. Bahrain, aside from its vast reserves of oil, which will be drilled as quickly and efficiently as possible by expert Griffincrest engineers, is in an important position. Corporate Alliance forces now dominate the Persian Gulf, with Achmara in the RL location of Iran, Beiraq in Iraq, Kuwait, and now also the Strait of Hormuz, and now Griffincrest forces in control of Bahrain.
From the base in Bahrain, Griffincrest can assert its dominance in the Middle East, and keep Icovir and her allies in check by being only less than a hundred miles from the major Icovirian city of Riyadh, putting it within cruise missile range. Also, Wanderjarian ships that survived the war will be asked to leave the now CA dominated Gulf, as they are considered hostile.
The base at Bahrain will maintain a full time staff of the following at all times:
- 250 M50 155mm SP Artillery Shermans
- 200 Folland Gnat fighters
- 150 Mercury APC's
- 100 Su-15 Flagon fighters
- 100 F-4 Phantom II fighter-bombers
- 50 Behemoth II HBT's
- 30 Rajput class destroyers
- 10 Homeland class battleships
120,000 Griffincrest Security Personnel, a military hospital, and a small POW camp are also on the island.
