(BTW, I lied about annexing, Im Annexing Cabinda province now as most of the crude oil is found there. so Aliff can you count Cabinda as a seperate entity? I.e. Angola. Cabinda.)

The city of Luanda was begging to regain her composure after the South African war of assimilation. Market traders were begging to get back to hawk there wares on the streets. Citizens of the city were finally begining go about their usual business before the invasion occured (albeit with more apprehension due to the increasing South African military presence in the city.)

The sheer Vivacity of the cities diverse populace and their attitudes were not lost during the war and the citizens are keen on proofing that despite all the Turmoil the Citizens of Luanda will uphold their dignity regardless of any adverse situations that may befall them (such as the war of assimilation)

Therefore it was very prudent for the South African authorities to allow the cities first Carnival since the the begining of the war to take place.

The Carnival was truly a sensious feast for the eyes and the soul to behold.

The carnival consisted of Traditional Angolan tribal dancing mixed with Portuguese colonial celebratory traditions with a slight twinge of the "contemporary" . The irrepressable Local and international Hip Hop musci scene was present where many of the locals do not speak a word of english but somehow knew and sung along to all the expletives and lyrics for a certain english speaking rap song that was emanating throughout the later stages of the carnivale.

Suprisingly there were few incidents during and after the carnival with only. the occaisional seemingly obligatory scuffle with the police afterwards. There were only about a few dozen citizens arrested on that night. and most of thoses citizens were arrested for intoxicated and disorderley behaviour.

On a different note Reperations to the cities Infrastructure were going along at a frantic pace. and the Prospects for better job opportunities in the Petroleum industry excited many Angolan citizens.

The United South African Petroleum company set up its headquarters in the Austere former Portuguese colonial quater.

And like a symbol for corporate lust and Greed the new Luanda oil Refinery was being constructed adjacent to a Profoundly Impoverished slum district. which kind of makes an ironic statement about the current political situation that despite being next to all the oil the poor Luandan is being deprived of the revenues.

Sleek and Aesthetically pleasing South African and Zimbabean BMWS and mereceds clash with Rustic and sometimes delapidated Angolan minibusses and ramshackle cars on the NewInter city Motorway.

And now the time was right to unite the rest of Angola with her countrymen...

Rafael Pobito, The self proclaimed unrecognised President of Free Angola, tentatively drunk his fine Lisbon Port (imported from the now Portuguese state of the self titled "Republic of The United Nations"). in his cramped Improvised Presidential office in Cabinda city. (The Interior of office was converted from a bus depot whilst the outside remained the same to fool any potential South African assasination attempt on the president.

He smiled rather sardonically. Port was about the only thing Free Angola could import these days thanks to the South African naval blockade of the entire Proximity of the Angolan Coast.

He sat back in his rather squallid office a Presidential Guard stood diligently out the door with a AK 47 hastily re assembeled and held together with duct tape.

"And too think this is our most efficient and reliable fire arm." Rafael dreaded the thought.

South African consolidation of the entire country was inevitable. And no Foreign power wants to intervene. Free Angola is breathing her last gasps of fresh wonderous Air.

Suddenly the South African dignatary scheduled to arrive entered the room flanked by two scrappy looking Angolan soldiers. "The dignatary from South Africa is here to see you mr president" On of the Angolan soldiers said with humbility. The dignatary arrived promptly which arroused the Presidents suspicion. "good to see a South African diplomat has arrived punctually for a change." The President said to the diplomat.

(The president knew South Africa played belligerant mind games when negotiating with smaller nations that they deem to pose a "threat" to their national security. Their diplomats never arrived on time when they had genuine intentions to negotiate.....)

The diplomat merely smirked....

The president was puzzeled that the diplomat did not announce himself.

The President began to speak again.... "Take him away and have him shot.... He is part of a clandestine South African conspiracy to assasinate me....

Those last sentences would be the final words of the President as a Plethora of rockets hit the office by a Rooivalk attack helicopter...

(The helicopter was launched from a supposedly Peace envoy warship carrying "dignataries" to negotaite South African recognition of Free Angola. The terms were that they had to be on a South African Warship for their own "protection" The Cabinda Authorities ostensibly under the impression South Africa was bearing good intentions let the ship into the Harbour and allowed a bugged "dignatary" to the inconspicous presidential office. Fearing insult to South Africa The presidential guard did not check the "dignatary" for any microchips.....)

The consolidation has begun.

Within days of the suprise attack on the Angolan presidential office Cabinda city was in a state of pandemonium. A small battalion of South African marines had secured the Cabindan beachfront with parts of the city aswell.

The resistance was at best disorientated and thus allowed a breakthrough by South Africa with only a small amount of resources. What was left of Free angolas communication stations to the Free Angolan motherland was decimated by South Africna Migs launched from a covert base in Southern Angola.

The capital capitulated as the news camethrough of Pobito "the angolan tigers" assasination aswell as half his ministerial cabinet.

South Africa has now claimed de facto rule over the enteririty of Free Angola. however the Free Angolan rebels on the mainland are contradicting the South African governments statement by putting up a fierce and dogged guerilla war.

However this has come to late as they were Isolated from what was happening in Cabinda due to the Free Angolan capitals communications infrasture being annihalated. Cabinda was occupied for a week before Rebel generals found out about the situation. This is believed to have given South Africa a Irrevocble adevantage in the war as 65,000 Infantrymen move into the Free Angolan mainland......
