THIS IS EARTH V!!!

My troops, the impure run rampant in our territory. Their funding is from the Fiendish Infidels of the Burkina Fasoan Government. In a few short hours, this will cease. In our Quest to unite the west africans, the Fasoans have meddled for the last time. We shall crush them between our mighty fists of hope, faith, and strength. I know that each and every one of you will put forth your best effort for the continuation of the CWAA! Onward, men! To victory!
speech made by Muammar Abdul al-Aziz prior to the invasion of Burkina Faso

Invasion groups listed as follows:
Group A: The Hammers of Purity MBT Division. 1235 men. various MBT's(T-72 and 54's)
Group A route: South into Aribinda.
Group B: 13th Special Operations Airborne troops. 329 men.
Group B route: Paradrop into Ouagadougou and attempt a strategic strike vs. the government offices and military HQ
Group C: 43rd Mobile Infantry. 12,500 men. (use of mostly old BMP's and ex-soviet APC's
Group C route: East into Koudougou. sweep the countryside.

I-hour: the 13th SpecOps Airborne troops sat in the backs of the old C-34's as they flew over the desolate Burkina Fasoan Countryside. led by the Colonel Rafique Jean Fayyas, they prepared the drop into the Capital. The speech by the President had motivated them all. The Impure Taureg government of Burkina Faso must die. Our holy fist will crush their meddling in West African affairs. The green light flashed on, and the troops leaped out.

The drop went as planned, and they landed in the city square. after they regrouped, they stormed the palace. The lax presidential guard were caught off guard by the assault and were quickly overcome. President Remy Gallant and his cabinet were captured and secured, but not after a bloody fight. Eleven SpecOps died in the assault, but the government was mortally wounded. The Colonel radiod in that he had taken the palace, and the two other groups assaulted the border.

And for your next new thread, it's good to place Earth-V or EV in the title of the thread, to not confuse people outside Earth-V to participate.
I'll make an IC-reply later.

OOC: oops, lol. yeah that is the one thing i forgot to do with this.
IC: Group A, engines revving in the darkness of the sahara night, pounded across the border of the CWAA and Burkina Faso. Recently, the SpecOps Colonel had radiod in from the Presidential palace that the Head of the Menace was taken, and that the body would soon follow. soon, they would approach their targets...

Aribinda, Burkina Faso
The bloody battle for Aribinda had begun. The MBT force had arived in the city and assaulted the police headquarters. The Fasoan forces regrouped and mounted an RPG attack on them, destroying 4 tanks. For the next week, CWAA forces proceeded to mount "thunder runs" on the city, sweeping in, wreaking havoc, and pulling out. After nine days, Aribinda was taken and the Battle Group A moved onto the capital of Ougadougou to assist Group B holed up inside the palace.

CWAA casualties:54
Burkina Fasoan Casualties: 2498
OOC: The Fasoan casualties are a little high but remember that these are tank raids, lasting only about a half hour each, mounting a few times a day after each resupply run by trucks.

ooc a little advice if you guys are going to invade the Ivory coast, (I would like if you do!!!!!:p )

The nation is apparently still resisting Military commands attempts to assimilated it. as it is still a striped territory. Presumable M.C. hasnt completed his r.p. or the Mods want more to it and is not recognising it untill he has done so e.t.c et.c.

anyway it would be good to have a group of nations squabble and get involved in another nations business. we have just recently averted an African war because of this. (Iberian Netherlands were going to invade gabon but Kopperburgs, Vineyard and I kicked him out.)

yeah power in numbers lol:D

(on a serious note a playe vs player conflict would be nice, we will have to see what happens in the near future I guese. "winks ominously")

IC: Army Group C Sat outside the City limits of Koudougou. When they recieved the word, they were going in. "Alright liberators! Ready Youselves! We will prove to the Impure who the greatest Mobile Infantry are on this Continent! Begin the assault!" screamed their commander.
The troops, inspired by the speech, raised their weapons and fired some rounds into the sky. Moments later, the charge began. BMP's and APC's raced towards the city. To the Fasoan defenders, it was like a wave of death. Thirty milimeter rounds poured into the crude fortifications as RPG troopers launched their High Explosive Rockets into the crowds of defenders, mowing them down. The lead BMP crushed through the barricade and ran down several Fasoan Police before being struck and destroyed by an RPG from the defenders.as the APC's poured through, the soldiers jumped out and engaged the enemy. A bloody Battle ensued, but the CWAA managed to take the town.
CWAA casualties: 743
Burkina Fasoan casualties: 3187

Presidential Palace, Ougadougou, Burkina Faso
The SppecOps in the palace had set up barricades and fortified all of the windows and doors, turning the once ornate palace into a crude, ugly fortress. The President and Military leaders were being interrogated for troop information while the remainder of the guards were being held in confinement in the entrance hall. All the Colonel had to do was wait for Groups A and C, and the annexation would be complete.

Presidential Palace, Ougadougou, Burkina Faso
One of the few remaining generals left from the Fasoan military, General Maktawa, sent out a communique to all remaining troops to defend the capital. So as you can guess, the middle of the Capital is not a fun place to be. Group B has been holed up in the Palace for a bit over two weeks now, and currently, they are holding off a breaching attempt by the Free Burkina Fasoan military. So far Group B has taken no further casualties, but if help doesnt come soon, that could all change. Just at that moment, a flight of Mil Mi-24 Hinds thundered over the city and unleashed their hellish FFAR rockets and chainguns upon the Fasoan troops.as the helo's laid down their sheet of hell, the two other groups began their convergence on Ougadougou. The Battle for Ougadougou had begun...

Ougadougou, Burkina Faso
Today, Ougadougou was not a good place to be if you were in the Fasoan military. Over 12,000 CWAA troops were in the city, hammering away at the remaining Fasoan forces. Hinds and Havocs could be seen flying over the city, occasionally unleashing hell on the defenders. A massive armored column made its way to the Presidential palace to assist the SpecOps and clear a, LZ to extract Group B, the dead SpecOps, and the leaders of the former Burkina Fasoan Gov't.
Presidential Palace, Ougadougou, Burkina Faso
The palace was a busy place. The food supply was running a bit low, so the SpecOps commander ordered half of the presidential police executed. Throughout the day, a small squad of SpecOps had been lining the guards up against a courtyard wall and firing at them. When that got less fun, they released them to run in the courtyard and had target practice. It was a grizzly scene. bodies lay heaped on the ground with pools of crimson everywhere. The armored column was expected to arrive momentarily.

Presidential Palace, Ougadougou, Burkina Faso
The armored column finally burst through the barricade made by the city defenders and rushed into the government square. As they set uptheir perimeter, a flight of Mil Mi-8 Hips flew in and evacuated the remaining SpecOps soldiers and the former leaders of the "terrorist" state. An hour later, three large Military-grade trucks moved in to remove the captive presidential police and ship them to an airstrip being held by the 12th motor rifle platoon. From there they would be shipped off to a secret factory in the saharan desert as slave labor for the CWAA. The annexation of Burkina Faso is declared complete by Aziz and Operation: Cleansing Flame is commenced to assault and capture rouge elements of the Fasoan military and send them to the factories.

CWAA casualties: 1224
Burkina Fasoan casualties: 15,000 +/- 1500 people (airstrike numbers are unknown)

ooc: this is really good. I need to annex too. Can you save a few countries near me (Guinea) for me?:D

[ooc:no intention to intrude, but here are some personal suggestions!!!

Maldorians, you can try to take Guinea-Bissau; it's a neighbor, and it's probably better the world havev only one Guinea [but alas, there's Guyana, French Guinea, Equitorial Guinea, Papua New Guinea, heck, there's probably more! But that's something that you could do for the moment...

To both of you, start making diplomatic contacts. I'm personally not going out of my way to introduce the Emirate to you unless I feel in the mood (semi-feeling it now...) and I have the time (right now, not really, but what I can say? I'm currently addicted...). So anyway, getting international recognition goes hand-in-hand with international aid and perhaps international support. I've seen Candistan doing it, but I'm not certain how extensive it's been. But so far, I'm glad to see the amount of work being put into this conquest of Burkina Faso - just remember that when you do a conquest, post it in the Map Thread [where you guys inadvertently made the initial claim...] - that's where all the IC conquests eventually end up, so I can edit the map. So anyways, keep that stuff in mind and have fun!!!]

MiG-21's have been making strategic strikes versus the rogue forces while the 12th Special Operations Airborne group has been persuing them by the ground. It is belived they are heading to Cote D'Ivoire and our Mil Mi-24 wing has been sent to the South border to cut off such an attack. A warning will be sent to the Cote D'Ivoirese government warning them that if the rogue forces do make it into D'Ivoirese borders, we will persue them into your country. As for Ougadougou, rebuilding is underway. The President of Former Burkina Faso will be tried along with his generals for Conspiracy, Treason, supporting terrorism, war crimes, bribery and Extortion. CWAA NEWS NETWORK REPORTS
Rebels take Diapaga
Rogue military groups from the Former Burkina Fasoan military have taken the small town of Diapaga and set up fortifications. They have moved the total opposite way that they were expected to go and taken up shop in an innocent town. As we speak, CWAA military forces are converging on the town to kill the Impure beast once and for all.

Diapaga, Former Bukina Faso
The six MiG-21's flew over the desolate plains of the southern landscape. A dreary town appeared on the horizon ahead of them. "MiG Captain Eghwt reporting. Target in sight."
"Roger, Captain. You are weapons free. Commence assault on the rebels."
The six MiG's moved into attack formation and armed their bombs. In the southern part of town, there was a group of AA and anti-tank vehicles, what still remained intact of uncaptured by the CWAA forces. The MiG's dropped low, released their bombs, and shot straight up unto the sky. The bombs destroyed what was left of the rogue army's armor. as the jets retreated, the second wave of helicopters comprised of AS 555, Mil Mi-24, and Mil Mi-28 attack helicopters along with Mil Mi-8 transport copters. The attack helo's dropped down and unleashed on the town. The town square was saturated with FFAR rockets to clear it for the Mi-8's. After the square was cleared, the Mi-8's landed and dropped their troops, the 675th CT Group Scorpion. The 675th troops raced across the cratered square towards the center of the rogue army's formation. Their goal was to capture the leaders to get as much info on the enemy before executing them for High Treason if they did not cooperate afterwords.

The 675th moved in on the center of town. The helicopters had been doing their work well, strafing just ahead of the CT's. They regularily saw groups of rebels setting up a defense getting mowed down by chainguns and rockets seconds later. So far they have only had three men wounded and one dead. As they approached the center, resistance seemed to slow. Soon enough, they were upon the Koubandougou Government building where the general was holed up. After a strike that cleared out the front of the building, the CT's charged into the building. They used shaped charges to blow open the doors and rushed in. As soon as the rogue forces found out what was happening, it was too late. An APC rushed in full of troops towards the CWAA occupied building, only to be destroyed by a missile fired from a CT's RPG-29. The General was captured, and the CT's rushed onto the roof. Mi-8's began evacuating the CT's and catured personell into the air while the remaining CT's and attack helicopters covered the area while the CT's were evacuated. Once all of the CT's were out, the flight of MiG's returned and firebombed the Government Square, wiping out the greater section of the rogue military.

CWAA casualties: 15
Rogue casualties: 5214
Civilian casualties: Unknown (estimated high from rocket attacks and bombing. High casualties and damages are blamed on the rogue military who were accused of comitting as a redemption attack vs. the CWAA)

Northern Black Volta River Region, about 35km North of Bouna, Cote D'Ivoire
The remnants of the rogue military had finally crossed the border. Sympathisers in Cote D'Ivoire had loaded them on boats and transported them across on the Black Volta. The leader of the rogues, General Linhasa, hoped to set up a base in the town of Bouna to set up strikes upwards into the CWAA held FBF. Little did they know, a small single engine Cessna flew overhead.

"This is Recon 1, reporting, over."
"Roger Recon, What's your status, over?"
"Rogues spotted. They'e in Ivoirian territory."
"That doesn't matter. Were sending in a force."
"Roger that. Recon 1 standing by."

3 hours later, the general looked up. The rogue stared in fright as a fleet of helicopters and prop planes raced towards him and his army. "Shit!" he yelled as he scrambled to get to his radio. Before he could transmit the warning, a hail of FFAR's hit his boat, sending pieces of it and the general everywhere. As this happened, a group of CWAA patrol boats raced around the bend. The rogue army's boats tried to make landfall to eveacuate into the dense jungle, but the CWAA patrol boats cut them off. Men were seen jumoing into the river, only to be mowed down by fire from the Patrol boats. Raiding parties from Mil Mi-8's rapelled down onto enemy craft and commandeered them. before the rogue army knew it, the battle was over. The CWAA forces along with their captured soldoers and boats raced back up across International lines before the Cote D'Ivoirese could figure out what happened.

Black Volta River, 15km Inside the CWAA/Cote D'Ivoire Border
The barge filled with the Prisoners floated ominously through the water of the river. As it reached the small dock, the sleeping prisoners were roughed up and awaken. The French soldiers on the dock took the prisoners away while the captain refueled the boat. After only two hours inside Cote D'Ivoire, the CWAA barge returned across the border and onward to its home base.
