OOC: Wolf's not going to be the father. Wolf isn't violent enough. When Jiralyn gets sober, she gets to wanting a man. Sex in her species is the same as fighting. Their one and the same thing. Weak males are killed before they can go all the way. That's why her species is so strong. Only the strong can propagate, and Jiralyn was the strongest of her species. They also have on average 136 offspring from one pairing.

But the biggest and most powerful of all, was one that looked like the great sea serpant of norse legend, Jormangunder, the World snake. EVERYTHING stayed away from this ship. It was called the Jorgun, and it scanned Roberta and all her crew members.

Their sense of touch changed. It was, much more sensitive than before, and at least on this world, touch also brought knowledge of the object.

Their sense of smell became very sharp.

And once they tasted something, they would find they had gained a remarkably refined sense of taste.

But all of this, was only while they were apart of the Hive mind.

They could also communicate with each other without speaking.

The others sniggered as Harold got all wet, however as Harold's Air Bubble formed he scolded the members and told all of them to come through. However as they did they found themselves wet and air bubble formed.

He said "Oh, sorry did I forgot to mention you could just enter thinking about the air bubble and you will be dry." of course that was via the Hive Mind.

And then the voice came from the hive mind Harold was the first to respond..

- We stumbled upon a warp disturbance. It took us close by, our ship which was the property of Mr O'aka which probably was the annoying merchant that some one mentioned is now ours with his blessing.

- I see. There was one thing from it we kept for ourselves, to develop more thoroughly. He said he wouldn't need it anyway. Come to the Great tower in the center. I will give it to you personally. Now, ready yourselves for a surge of water.-

Five seconds passed, then, against their will, the Air dissolved. They were swept along as the water was drawn in a great torrential wave. They flew over the city, and it was big, yet somehow they didn't need to breath.

The buildings were a great variety of colors, and had plant life growing upon them. Aquamarinians swam along merrily, having no need for anything like cars, yet there were automated vehicles going along beneath the torrent.

They were drawn through a school of fish, past a group of dolphins, under a whale, and by a shark. The closer they got to the center, the more valuble things became. Then, the city just ended, in a great circle, around a massive palace.

Brick for brick, it was all Black Pearl, and was very old, older than most civilizations. Columns of White Pearl lined the front of the grand building. Inside, lining the floor, other things, such as Diamends, gold, Emeralds, and even silver made the floor. Paintings in mini air-bubbles sat on the walls, and all of them were of legendary sea fiends, such as the Kraken. Doors opened for them automaticly. They lead to a truely massive room, made out of every kind of Jewel there was, and light came from a tower, inside the room. It was guarded by an army of Aquamarinians. The towere tisted and turned, and the torrent lead them down a staircase. The staircase opened to a room, with a single, white ancient Aquamarinian in the center.

The journey seemed only to take five minutes, and they never once seemed to need to breath.

It was as if they just woke up. Air formed around them.

The White Aquamarinian grabbed them all in his strong but still old tenticles and picked them up.

a vortex of water swirled around them. It was so intense the water turned white with all the oxygen.

Then they were on a great hill. It was dark, in the sense that the sun was not shining. However, a valley full of purple Goo lit everything up quite nicely.

-Psionic waste comes from the stronger powers and abilities. actions so strong, that bi-product is produced. If you were not in our Hive Mind, then you would be subject to the full powers of Mind Waste. Nightmares, insomnia, and a wide variety of all sorts of mental diseases stem from this stuff. Without protection, you would be at the mercy of it. The rest, we give to The Machine.-

This time, everything just went black.

Light slowly filtered in.

They knew they were near some sort of a massive machine, they could hear it running.

As the light dawned around them, they were all standing on a small metal platform. Next to them was a giant Gear wheel that constantly turned. Its diameter had to be at least four or five miles. It wasn't even the largest, but there where so many gears. Chains were strung all over the place, between Gear sets, constantly moving. great fans and turbines constantly moved.
A great engine of some sort seemed to provide light.

Creatures of all kinds scurried about everywhere doing all sorts of tasks. Some creatures, though not robotic in the least, were made of metal. Others were robots. Some cleaned the gears, others fixed problems in The Machine. Some were raising crops, others were running businesses on the great Gears. Some were building and adding to the great machine.

And in other places, Aquamarinians scurried about alongside other creatures, using the machine as a gigantic Forge. Lastly, if they looked down, they would see the Aquamarinians dumping all sorts fo things onto a conveyer belt that went into a great furnace engine somewhere, but only after everything that was recycled could be, everything that could be reused could be, and that in both cases, the items were set aside, often by the robots.

That wasn't all. everyone's movements, everyone's thoughts, they were all in time with The Machine, and no matter how hard one tried, one could not escape the grasp of the Machines influence.

-It might intrest you to know, that you've left the universe. You have of course, heard from various sources, of other planes. Places Science could not reach. They can if they try hard enough. This, is The Machine, known far and wide as Mechanus, the great Elemental Plane of Law.-

Kajeenith smiled. He was sitting in a private booth in the corner. He wore a black hooded robe, but that wasn't unusual, half the patrons wore black hooded robes. he had his back turned to everyone.

The White Aquamarinian grabbed them all in his strong but still old tenticles and picked them up.

Then they were on a great hill. It was dark, in the sense that the sun was not shining. However, a valley full of purple Goo lit everything up quite nicely.

-Psionic waste comes from the stronger powers and abilities. actions so strong, that bi-product is produced. If you were not in our Hive Mind, then you would be subject to the full powers of Mind Waste. Nightmares, insomnia, and a wide variety of all sorts of mental diseases stem from this stuff. Without protection, you would be at the mercy of it. The rest, we give to The Machine.-

This time, everything just went black.

Light slowly filtered in.

They knew they were near some sort of a massive machine, they could hear it running.

As the light dawned around them, they were all standing on a small metal platform. Next to them was a giant Gear wheel that constantly turned. Its diameter had to be at least four or five miles. It wasn't even the largest, but there where so many gears. Chains were strung all over the place, between Gear sets, constantly moving. great fans and turbines constantly moved.
A great engine of some sort seemed to provide light.

Creatures of all kinds scurried about everywhere doing all sorts of tasks. Some creatures, though not robotic in the least, were made of metal. Others were robots. Some cleaned the gears, others fixed problems in The Machine. Some were raising crops, others were running businesses on the great Gears. Some were building and adding to the great machine.

And in other places, Aquamarinians scurried about alongside other creatures, using the machine as a gigantic Forge. Lastly, if they looked down, they would see the Aquamarinians dumping all sorts fo things onto a conveyer belt that went into a great furnace engine somewhere, but only after everything that was recycled could be, everything that could be reused could be, and that in both cases, the items were set aside, often by the robots.

That wasn't all. everyone's movements, everyone's thoughts, they were all in time with The Machine, and no matter how hard one tried, one could not escape the grasp of the Machines influence.

-It might intrest you to know, that you've left the universe. You have of course, heard from various sources, of other planes. Places Science could not reach. They can if they try hard enough. This, is The Machine, known far and wide as Mechanus, the great Elemental Plane of Law.-

Chaos makes its home in The Warp, but I do not feel suffeciently strong enough to both take you there to show you the warp, and protect you from the nightmares that call the Warp home. We have heard, that there are some on the Orion station, that follow the path of Chaos. they would be better teachers.

Adrian, Mechanus serves many purposes and functions. We have Psionic powers which covers Telekinesis, Telepathy, and everything related. Put together, its called Psionics, Jedi and Sith are some of the most famous examples of weaker Psions, though there have been some strong ones. There are also our distant cousins, the Mindflayers. The Jedi and sith get their Psionics from the force, which is to say they get their powers from The Balance of all things. The Mindflayers worship a God, and derive their powers from him. we have Psionic powers, because we are just simply that evolved, with minds that are that complex. It is through our powers that we establish the Hive, maintaining community, while still keeping individuality.

Harold, Mechanus is the most powerful Machine ever to exist.

However, as you can see, Mechanus is so evolved, that if one part breaks down, the rest goes on. Look past the massive gear beneath us. Se how that entire section is stopped? an accident occusred there, and stopped the great gear works of Mechanus. It is mostly cleaned and repaired, but even still, it takes alot to stop Mechanus. You saw our Great ships that look like whales. The first time we found Mechanus, we lost control, and crashed into a gear. The Gears simply ate the ship, and absorbed the resulting explosien.

Mechanus remains eternal, and unchanging. But, much time has passed, and others from your nation are done building the depot you were adding onto the Orion station. Its time you returned there, and left us. Do so.- The octopus said.

Everything went white.

Next thing they knew, they were waking up in their beds at the station. was the whole thing just a dream? They would find their senses were normal. Roberta would be in the Dock, just as surely as if they had drove her all the way back.

There was no hive mind, they couldn't hear each other's thoughts. All they had, were memories.

And with that it was only a few seconds and it seemed the Depot was empty and the Engineering ship had said it's goodbyes on the radio and disappeared.

Tiel's eyes widen in the shock of recognition.

"It-it's you." she said.

The old woman hobbled off after Lisa and Miranda, and put them both in a deep relaxing sleep.

Then she ran one finger down their spines, and took a sample of them, without taking anything, She seemed to pour over this for several minutes, while cradling them in their sleep like a mother comforting a sick child.

Then she nodded, and left, hobbling downstairs.

"I know what's wrong with them." she said.

OOC: But I don't. I need a little help here. The power from this woman, puts Tiel to shame. The knowledge she posses, few can match. She's one of my old Warhaven characters, and is virtually unrivaled in medicinal knowledge. In my next post, I'll fill you in.

What else can I do but embrace with open arms. The others, that will have to be their choice."

OOC: Of course they will, those that chose to learn more. But, there's diffrent ways to decide how time flows. Such is the power of Fantasy. It could be like the Chronicles of Narnia, in which each adventure takes no morw than seconds in the real world, but also takes entire lifetimes in the Narnian world. Really, there's no end to how things can be done. You could say that Harold and friends were given a vacation.

In Fantasy, the only thing stopping you, is your imagination, but must be kept somewhat realistic, though that border loses distinction daily.

The Training thread will leapfrog off of this one, so decide who's going now. Goahead and send them all. Schotty can put androids in their place, with you running them as the real characters.
