IC: a Message was sent over all frequancies from all of the few plannets controled by the first Jedi Order it stated this...
For to long has our order been secluded in out small pocket of space, for to long have we not encountered people from other regions of space! now, we come forth to protect the galaxy from that which may be seen as evil, fear us not, for we are friends to all! but even if you wish to harm us, come forth so that we may know you!
the message stopped, and the Order waited to see what would come

"A widebeam transmission? How interesting. And foolish. The Empire will kill this branch of the Order as soon as they could. We must assist them..." Tsunade mused. "Reply immediately, tightbeam transmission."
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
"This is Hokage Tsunade of the Jedi High Council of Coreworlds. It is to our regret to inform you that your sudden presence will attract a great and powerful enemy known as the Galactic Empire, under the control of the Sith Lord Palpatine. It is our perogative that we shall send a force fortwith to not only protect you, but evacuate you as quickly as possible. If the Empire reaches you, they will destroy you."
With that, a fleet of Shinobi-class Battlecruisers, Katana-class medium cruisers and Nova-class destroyers were readied to head to the first Jedi Order's systems. Accompanying that force are a number of transports and cruise ships for the evacuation. All they waited for was the signal...

Aboard The Revenge
Captain Jericho approached the door to the Moffs quarters. He pressed the ringer button to let the Moff know he was outside.
"Come." A voice echoed over head.
"Milord, we have picked up transmission. It seems a new Jedi order has made itself known"
"Ah, then how do you think we should proceed?"
The Captain was put aback by this question. Normally the Grand Moff would give the orders. Not ask what should be done.
"Sir we should contact the Emperor."
"Precisely. Send him a transmission."
"Yes Milord"

We realize the seriousness of this, and despite the great skill of our Knights we do not posses many powerful space craft. As well we do have hidden systems to move to, but lack the major transport craft to move our people in what we would think effective time. Assistance is requested for both defense and movement of our people to safe locations.

Councilor Melisha slouched back into her desk just as Councilor Blashka and the Coredian Representative and his apprentice left when she recieved an unusual report. A young comms officer nocked on her door, "Councilor?
"Yes ensign, what can I do for you?"
"We just got an odd transmission. It appears another Jedi Order has been formed."
"Another one? Well then, we should see to it that they don't get struck by our darker cousins. Has the Huntarian Empire responded to this yet?"
"It's an unknown Melisha. It would appear that they have managed to escape the eyes of Darth Trilkan and his minions for now. Course of action?"
Melisha grabbed the Comm Officer's datapad recording and played it back a few times. She thought about it for a few minutes, and handed it back, "We reply of course. We must keep the weak ones at our side to prevent them from being prey of those who would seek to abuse them," she typed in a reply message into the datapad and handed it back to the Ensign.
"All right Councilor. I'll relay the message."
"Thank's kid."

The Undisclosed Peril, an imperial destroyer from The Balrogga Empire faded into existance as it transfered its bulk from T-Space back into Real Space. Nearby sensors immediately went haywire as they detected both the mass of a small star and power readings that were nearly off the scale.
The ebon ship just waited in the darkness for the First Jedi Order to initiate contact.

(Here's in hopes that this thread won't come to naught like others have that I've entered for fun.)
One of the four Avenger Battleships was parked outside the last planet within the Mythrandir solar system. Here they were overseeing the second of many defensive measures being installed. Several other cargo and transporter ships drifted lazily by as their contents were emptied out into space. Light flickered every so often as construction began on a series of platforms and stations.
On her weekly patrol of the area, War Mistress Shizra had taken the Phoenix as her vessel this go round. It also served as a method for keeping crews on alert and broke up the monotony of a relatively peaceful system. The only chaos came from the few nations that had established alliances and trade agreements with the Myths. Commerce vessels far out numbered those of Star Forge.
Shizra's violet orbs scanned over the holographic screen in front of her face. It was much the same as usual and required little thought on her part. Even if there was an error, the orb's processing unit would highlight it for her eliminating the possibility of the dark elf missing anything. On schedule like always. The dwarves seemed to have a knack for building just about anything anywhere. "Very good Thor. I'll have a cargo ship bring out a supply of meat and several gallons of ale. Will that suffice?"
"Make it two ships and ye got yerself a deal elf."
Black painted lips pulled back in a small tight smile. "Deal. I'll see you on my next run in about a week. Phoenix out." The communication signal ended leaving her in peace along in the conference room. Much to her delight, life thus far had proven quite simple with the occasional excitement from the outside though it now there seemed to be a reoccuring theme of disappointment. To her it didn't matter. It only meant one last thing that could potentially drag her and the rest of Mythrandir into a situation that they do not desire. Let the rest of the universe erupt in flames and chaos while their neck of space remained a bright jewel. It mattered not to the dark elf. Though life never remains constant.
"Yes?"
The orb set within the center of the table ceased it's pulsating and constant beeping. "Sorry to interupt you War Mistress but we've just encountered a transmission."
"And what is so important about this transmission that you felt it warranted disturbing me?" Her tone grew more agitated with each passing moment.
"F-Forgive me please but we could not help intercepting it as it was on a wide band frequency. It appears an order of some sorts is wishing contact and nothing more. We've traced the signal and its origin is deep in the universe, well away from our own home."
"You fool! I do not care!" Her ire now rising to greater hights along with her voice as she begans shouting into the orb.
The response comes after a long pause. "....they could be in danger. I only thought it would increase an image where there is none and at the same time leading to greater opportunities for our people."
Shizra blew out a long sigh which lifted a strand of white hair from her face, sending it off to the side. "Alright. If you and the rest of the crew are so eager to see what the outside universe looks like, then prepare to cast off."
His response came quicker sounding more hopeful and excited. "Yes ma'am! I will inform the Elders immediatly."
"No need. We would most likely have been sent anyways only with more ships. If there is to be a fight, I would prefer that only we died instead of valuable ships that we can ill afford at this time."
The battleship navigated past construction zones and outside the gravitational pull of the large gaseous planet. Energy tentacles laced out and pulled the ship in to another dimension of space. Shizra's crew navigated through the inhospitable dimension of the Warp. Soon they would prepare to come out the other end once they had approached their appropriate destination.

"Very well. Our fleet will be sent to you shortly. May the Force be with you." The Hokage said, then switched to the intercom after a thought. "Shizune, bring me Team Nine, if you please..."
=====
One hour later, Jounin Uchiha Haruno Sakura and her Genin apprentices Hyuuga Nezi (boy), Inuzuka Toboe and her German Shepherd pup Akane, and Hayate Genma II (another boy) all headed to the flagship Sarutobi Asuma and as soon as they headed to the bridge, Sakura took her seat by the captain's chair and the Genin moved to various stations.
"Alright. We have a mission, folks, so let's get to it. On my mark...JUMP!" Sakura ordered with much gusto, making the captain sweatdrop.
In seconds, the thirty-strong fleet made the jump to hyperspace for the wayward Jedi Order's location...

The message whipped through the electronic corridors of the Imperial Palace's communications network, up into the highest spires of the Dominion's chief executive, the Emperor himself. Electronic graders on board two listening posts had taken the information of the message, weighed its value, then sent it on to higher states, until it had found its way here, the highest position possible, a communication fit only for the organic ears of Droma himself.
[Message for you via audio feed, my Lord]
"Why do you bother me..." hissed Droma.
[Important for secure purposes. Possible threat/oppurtunity/assistance comm.]
"Very well, send it through quickly."
[As you wish, my Lord]
Droma turned away from several ancient Dark Side holocrons, the Sith Lord, overlooked by some of the larger Sith orders, powerful tenfold on his own right. He flicked a small switch through the Force next to his personal display screen as the message began to patch through.
For to long has our order been secluded in out small pocket of space, for to long have we not encountered people from other regions of space! now, we come forth to protect the galaxy from that which may be seen as evil, fear us not, for we are friends to all! but even if you wish to harm us, come forth so that we may know you!
Droma sighed as he turned off the message vocabulator, the comm finished. "More of those weak-minded fools...what a pity that they thrive so much. But that was done well. I must find their presence to determine and weigh this potential disturbance."
Droma indicated towards another screen, bringing up a rather old man. "Do we have an able commander near the edge of border space?"
"We do, my Lord" responded the man, ticking at several electronic dots on a spreadboard, "Admiral Karath's fleet is currently dispatched in the Ring Worlds, and Master Nihilus is just inside the Outer Rim, near Oron-Kira."
"Very well," Droma spat, "order Karath and Nihilus to link up to investigate this. I want a fully detailed report. Make sure you instruct them to use diplomacy, this is first-contact. It may not be what we think."
"As you wish, my Lord. They shall be informed at once."
"They had better."
Droma flicked the screen off, stepping out of his flex-form chair and kneeling back on the floor, the Dark Holocrons emitting their terrible cries once more...

A massive psionic message was beamed to the Delta-7. While strong, it was also gently. The strength could be known but it was clearly not used. The message sounded both in their minds and over their Comm systems in an eerie multiple voiced as if it were hundreds talking at once, in a whisper.
Greetings
We are from The Balrogga Empire. We heard your message and decided you endangered yourself. We are here to stop them.
We mean you no harm.

Aboard The Undisclosed Peril, the crew was busy monitoring the area on long range sensors.
“Sir, I have a gravitic distortion that corresponds with a cloaked ship entering the system.”
“What is its heading?”
“The ship is on an intercept course for the primary planet.”
“Plot an intercept course that will place us in between them and use the bulk of the ship to shield the Jedi Order from possible super weapon attacks. Engage full shields. Prepare all systems for battle.”
“Sir, ship is ready and course plotted.”
“Send a message alerting the Jedi Order and then put us in their way.”
“Yes Sir.”
Again, the psionic message was sent, this time there was an urgent feeling to the words.
Attention Jedi Order.
We have detected a cloaked ship entering your system. We are going to take a defensive position to protect you. Return to your base and spread the cautionary alert.
The Undisclosed Peril suddenly blurred as it quickly accelerated to nearly C in an attempt to reach the intercept point in time. Moments later the ship came to a sudden stop facing the cloaked ship with the home world of The Jedi Order easily seen behind the destroyer and its bubble shields
The Undisclosed Peril in position. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v248/beldragos/TheDecidingFactor.jpg)
“Sit, they have dropped their cloak. I am attempting to match their transponder codes.”
“Get me their identity but meanwhile open a Comm signal.”
Attention cloaked ship
This system and its people are under our protection. If you wish them harm, we suggest you turn around and never return again for we will destroy you. If you mean them good will, explain why you approached them under Cloak.
We are not playing.
“Tactical, establish a Space Minus Tap. Charge all weapons. Shipmind, contact Command and relay all our data.”
The sensor readings of The Undisclosed Peril went from showing the mass of a small star and incredible power levels to one that was almost immeasurable as power from the Tap flooded all the weapon systems. Several hatches slid silently open and SGEs locked into position. The Cutter Arrays slid out and several torpedo hatches slid open.
Many target locks were established on the intruding ship and it was easily understood the captain and his crew were definitely not playing.
“Sir, incoming from one of the other ships in the area. It appears to be a Coreworld ship.”
“Patch it through.”
"Undisclosed Peril. This is the Coredian Sarutobi Asuma under the command of Uchiha Sakura. I take it you're here for the same reason we are."
Affirmative. We are protecting the local inhabitants from being abused or attacked. I’ll help watch your back.
Most interesting. Most interesting indeed.
One moment, there was nothing. The next, it existed. Its shape seemed best characterized as a massive collection of blades radiating outward from a central pillar of blinding light, the entire shape taking up a space some ten kilometers in length. Its green crystalline structure bristled with internal energies cascading throughout its bulk, and the entire vessel shuddered occasionally and phased in and out of existence, shifting position slightly with each blurring of its form.
Balroggan and Coredian vessels were noted upon arrival, and the source of the communique that had brought them to this system as well. The Imperial forces seemed oblivious to their impending doom at the hands of the Balroggan Strain. No matter. Once again the two-strains would prevail.
To the unknown world professing ties to the older Jedi:
The Imperial Dogs come. We shall not allow them to leave.
To the Coredians:
Very interesting that such a small realm should draw such fervent attention from the Imperials. No matter, it shall be their undoing. The Imperials can check in, but they will most assuredly not check out.
To the Balroggans:
TODAY WE FEAST!
As if on cue, the massive Kython vessel seemed to warp slightly, angling its blades as if to reduce its targeting profile while at the same time maximizing its own fields of fire. Energy crackled about its surface with increasing intensity, leaving trails of otherworldly electricity behind it as it moved out to challenge the approaching Imperials.

the Delta-7 pilot had gotten the other message and now this one, he sent the word back to the main planet. and quickly the order responded, the Venator came sully online as well as the rest of the battle fleet, Delta-7s and Eta-2s came from all planets...
OOC: i have littile time so i'll try and do this quickly
its a 9 planet system, all planets are fairly close together, average Sun such as we have here IRL
each of the nine planets are largely the same, with large single patches of climate(all desert in one place, all jungle in one place etc) but with almost all types of climate. save the main planet is almost entirely grassland. in deep space there is a massive asteroid belt but thats about it.
(each planet hold only Jedi usinga certain one of these combat forms)
Form I: Shii-Cho
Form II: Makashi
Form III: Soresu
Form IV: Ataru
Form V: Djem So
Form VI: Niman
Form VII: Juyo
Unoffical: Jar'Kai
and then there is the main planet.

OOC: Hey Jedi Order, where exactly are you in the galaxy and which planet is the main one? I presume the 3rd unless otherwise noted. And you know, planets from Mars' orbit outwards in distance are going to be cold and rather unsuitable for life unless you have dome cities.
The MIN Faithful hailed the Coredian ship .
"This is the MIN Faithful , you are hereby obstructing Imperial Operations . Please step aside immediately or face destruction ."
"Might I warn you, Faithful that the Jedi here are under the protection of the Order and any attempt to harm them will result in your untimely demise." Sakura replied harshly. "So it is you that must step aside...or die."
Then she chuckled when the Godulans enter the scene.
Very interesting that such a small realm should draw such fervent attention from the Imperials. No matter, it shall be their undoing. The Imperials can check in, but they will most assuredly not check out.
"Indeed, Godulan craft. Leave some scraps for us to deal with, will ya?"
"What's next, sensei?" One of the kids asked.
"Oh, let's see..." Sakura ran through a list of tactics. "As soon as the enemy strikes, Nekomata and Raijuu squadrons will Shunshin Jump inside the ranks and broadside the enemy flagship. Sarutobi and Shukaku Squadrons will deal with the stragglers. All other ships will head for the protection of the Balrogga and Godulan ships."
Shunshin Jump is a new tactic, developed during the invasion of Mationbuds. In effect, the ninjas aboard the ships build up their chakra by simultaneously going through handseals. The chakra then wraps around the ship in question and in a loud *poof* of space-smoke, the ship will essentially teleport whereever it's needed. There are several drawbacks, however. One: It's new, so there has not yet been a full test of the limitations and capabilities, but it is generally a tactical rather than strategic maneuver because of the distances and size of the craft involved. It won't be a replacement to hyperspace. Two: It's a drain on all the ninjas onboard a ship, so autotargetting systems will have to take up the slack while the shinobi recover.
In the meantime, the Coredians waited for a response from friend or foe...

Shizra had taken her time from the conference room while making her way to the bridge. Her thoughts simply wondered from hall to hall while passing a painting or so from home. Each one depicting something of a similar nature. Trees, mountains, grassy plains, and serene lakes. All to give the crew some symblance of earth around them. If nothing else, it was a nice decoration of sorts.
Sirens sounded throughout the halls of the battleship letting everyone know they were about to exit this dimension. She quickened her pace and headed for the nearest elevator that would take her up to the bridge.
White energy lanced out lighting up the dark vastness of space. It was a flashy sort of intrance but it got them from one place to the next in decent time. Energy tentatcles pulled back in on their origin ripping out the fabric of space until the battleship was spewed out from its confines. Then the light show simply fizzled out. They had predetermined their exit point to be several thousand kilomteres from the origins of the transmission they had received. Crew on board the ship was abuzz with the different vessel makeups in the system. Some matched the read-outs that had been supplied to them through purchasing information though they had no idea whom they belonged to. The Sephrion vessel was the only nation they were familiar with at the moment here.
A pressurized door in the background whooshed open and Shizra slowly walked out and sat down on the throne chair. "What's our status?"
"We are detecting a large number of ships in the area with some of the oultines matching our files, other are unknown to us."
"Alright then, maintain our present heading. Weapons engineering, activate shields and bring weapon systems on line but do not target any vessel at all unless fired upon first. I don't want to ruffle any feathers at the moment so let's try to navigate this parking lot and find the Order that sent us that message."
"Yes War Mistress."
The battleship moved through the ever crowding sector of space towards the First Jedi Order while leaving the others to their fights and what nots. An orb levitated up before the dark elf's beautiful face. "Communications, bring me on line. I want to see if I can get through to the Order."
"Right away m'Lady."

OOC: at the time i described it i had little time, but by "fairly close together" i mean the planets are close in orbit, with the furthest out being about Mars, and the closest to the sun is at Venus...though the atmosphere of the ones out as far as Mars catch more heat then the closer ones(don't remember exactly how that would happen, or if it was just a theory i made up in my head once...) as for the location of the main planet, i would say third works well

“Captain, we have more incoming ships. There is one that looks to be a battleship trying to flank us to get at the planet.”
“Damn, launch the fighters to intercept them and demand their allegiance.”
“Issuing the orders Sir.
Moments later several Kython drones were launched from the back of the Destroyer. They quickly flew out and circled around to intercept the Mythrandir vessel. As soon as they placed themselves between the battleship and the planet, they established a Comm link between the unknown ship and the Interceptor destroyer.
Attention unknown vessel.
This system and its inhabitants are under the protection of the Balrogga Empire. Please identify yourself and state your intentions. If you proceed further without properly stating your intentions and properly identifying yourself, you will be considered a Hostile Entity and appropriate measures will be taken.
Thank You.
The drones had taken up a defensive wall formation and their sensors were busy probing the ship.
"Admiral, message from the Coredian battlecruiser Sarutobi Asuma."
"This is the Coredian battlecruiser Sarutobi Asuma to Alliance ships! Who's in charge over there? Over!"
"Open a channel."
"Channel open admiral. You're on."
"Sarutobi Asuma, this is Admiral Neuroman commanding this little task force along side with Malkir Master Chameliar onboard the R.S.S. Hamlet. What's the current situation over there? Last we saw before we jumped into the Necrominus there were no enemy ships detected and now just as we appear they're there! Over"

Toboe resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "It seems like that happens every time a new nation pops up, and Jedi seem to generate a lot of interest. Well let's see. First we came in, then we armed our weapons against Sephrioth and Mationbuds, then Balrogga and Godular came in -don't worry, they're friendly now- and a few others came in to wonder who's in this corner of the galaxy. Oh, yeah. That reminds me."
"Undisclosed Peril, Godulan ship, the fleet that just arrived are from Huntaerian Alliance, allies of ours. Play nice, please!"
She turned back to the Alliance. "Anyway, it seems we're here for the same reason: protecting the new Jedi Order planets from the Empire and other unwanted guests, right?"

"War Mistress, it seems that several vessels have decided to block our way towards the planet. Our weapon systems are hot, waiting for your orders."
Shizra crossed her long dark legs and rested the side of her head on a fist. "Communications chief, have they hailed us yet?"
There was silence for a moment while energy impulses were taken in by the ship's sensors and computers and translated into workable text for the crew to discern. Finally, runes started flowing up a glass screen relaying the two messages to the officer. "Yes m'Lady. Two of them. One entity states that they are of the Balroggan Empire and the other is that of the Republic of Coreworlds. They are asking to state our intentions."
"Hmm. One sounds like a male. Blunt and absolutly without tact. The other appears to have a more gentle, polite tone. At least someone out here has manners. Communications, reroute controls to my panel here. Set relay for text message only. No need to give away too much in all one sitting."
"Yes m'Lady."
The Phoenix halted its approach just away from the Kythons before it sent out a message to both parties that had hailed it.
This is the battleship Phoenix from the Kingdom of Mythrandir. We have arrived here to seek out the Order that sent a wide beam transmission which appears to have been broadcasted throughout the known universe. We are here to make contact with them and see what assistance they required. Now we are beginnig to wonder if they also need protection.
"Well, there are a small number of us light side weilder's as it is," Chameliar kindly replied, "so you have to figure that when we pop ut it's going to cause some attention."
Then the Admiral interupted at the note of the Balroggians and Godulan's, "I figured as much that the Balroggans and Godulans were here as allies in this case."
She turned back to the Alliance. "Anyway, it seems we're here for the same reason: protecting the new Jedi Order planets from the Empire and other unwanted guests, right?"
"This is correct. Current spies in the Empire indicate that they've got new toys to throw at us. So... We needed to respond."

A few weeks later, a Caracal-class cruiser (http://www.redsector.org.uk/eve/ships/caracal_navy_issue/caracal_navy_issue_10.png) entered the system. Nachshon sent out a transmission.
"This is Commander Nachshon of the Nation of Goonswarm. I am here to establish diplomatic relations with all interested parties."
While he waited, Nachshon checked for the umpteenth time that yes, his missile launchers were fully loaded.

For to long has our order been secluded in out small pocket of space, for to long have we not encountered people from other regions of space! now, we come forth to protect the galaxy from that which may be seen as evil, fear us not, for we are friends to all! but even if you wish to harm us, come forth so that we may know you!
The Fourth sat in his command pod and listened to the transmission that was detected by his Harvester Mothership’s psychic sensors. The message was identified and after a bit of translation by the united effort from the hive mind. The Fourth was able to understand the message he had received.
These sentient beings believe they could protect the Galaxy. That could prove to be a problem for the Kldath’u race. The Kldath’u were a parasitic race that needed to feed upon sentient creatures. This possible enemy had to be found and harvested to feed the unstoppable Kldath’u Star Dominion. The added bonus of destroying a potential threat to the harvesting operation was also appealing to the ambitious Kldath’u commander.
The Fourth sent a private mental message to his superior and father the First himself! “My Lord First, I have detected a possible enemy that must be harvested or destroyed. They claim to be able to protect the Galaxy. They could be meaning about our harvesting operations!”
The cold void sent an immediate response from across many star systems. This reply had come from the creatures homeworld. The world that contained their leader and god The First!
“My Son, I give you this command find these upstarts that claim to have the power to protect the galaxy and harvest them. I expect you to follow the will of the hive!”
The Fourth breathed and sighed in an almost human like gesture. The First himself demanded that these upstarts be dealt with. The Fourth sent a direct command to his forces to begin the Harvest of these Jedi….
The Harvester fleet powered up their psychic engines the power of the Hive Mind powered the movement of these massive organic abominations. They all hungered as they headed towards the source of the message that had so invited them to feed.
The 5th Alliance
26-10-2006, 01:34
Quite suddenly, five ships slid into place above the orbital plane of the system, a ways away from most of the other vessels in the area. Their appearances had little in common; indeed, the only thing besides their arrival together to indicate any shared affiliation was the small symbol each ship bore somewhere on its hull - a symbol resembling a set of scales. For now, they were just here to watch. The 5th Alliance was more than willing to step in for the protection of the galaxy's smaller voices, but at the moment the balance of power appeared to rest with the defenders. This was fitting and proper, and as long as it remained the case, the 5th would not likely interfere.
If the situation changed, however, they wanted to know about it...

"Emerging from hyperspace in five, my Lord."
"Good...we discover what the essence is."
Nihilus moved off from his communications bridge officer on board Karath's Leviathan, the massive Virulent-class vessel used as a flagship for the grand admiral of the Dominion navy. Nihilus was slightly bitter about leaving his fleet behind to mop up operations in the Ring Worlds, but the Admiral's ship was second-biggest in the fleet, only behind the heavily-modified Virulent itself, Droma's headquarters ship. In escort of the mighty destroyer was a full entente of bioships and capital cruisers, all in a ellipse defense around the gargantuan ship as the final descent of hyperspace concluded. Nihilus stood beside his bridge podium as the ship pulled out of the swirling blue void, Admiral Karath strutting up next to him.
"Let me play the diplomacy when we come out if hails arrive." Karath instructed.
Nihilus hissed slightly beneath his death's-head mask, but knew he was in no position to challenge Karath. Karath, next to Grand General Neyo, was the second-most powerful person in the Dominion, and at the same time, a rather pleasing and persuasive personality. He knew how to play politics, and even though the Dominion was a Sith-grown foundation, the Dominion was well versed in playing nice with others. It was not a Sith trait, but the Dominion had meshed into a unique culture of its own.
"Emerging from hyperspace."
Karath walked slowly in front of the main view screen, looking out into the space before the massive Leviathan as it pulled back into realspace, the black and starry scope enveloping the bridge again, the lights of the bridge shining bright as illumination. Visible around were the various escorts of the fleet, as well as dots in the distance.
"Registering contacts. No VID yet, unconfirmed enemy or friendly."
Nihilus seethed in flowing dark energy, feeling the presence of others.
"There are Sith...and Light...users out there."
"Relax, Contender," shot Karath back in an insulting tone. "Let me handle them. The point is not to get in a fight in our first contact. If you have an issue with that, you can affirm that with the Emperor himself."
Karath fully was aware that Nihilus was a mere contender to the throne, a competitor for Droma's coveted title when the inspiring man died, corrupted by his dark powers that were even now sapping energy from him. But he was also sure that Nihilus would not make it to that position...most of the others, while all less powerful than the dubious figure on the bridge, were significantly smarter. Sion, the lead candidate, had even had the audacity to hack off Nihilus's arm in a debate...once again, proof that Nihilus wasn't strong enough.
Nihilus, on the other end, seethed. Karath was insolent, not even a Sith...or Amazonian. He had been with Droma during the revolution, and that was the only reason for his rank. The man was smart, no doubt, but overconfident of himself and underestimating of others. He would meet stout death...
The fleet, meanwhile, grouped around the Leviathan, bioships leading the way as frigates flanked the massive flagship, waiting for possible contact as they advanced.

"Copy, Admiral. Moving in now, bioships moving into a spearhead."
The organic warships moved out into a pinnacle, a lead Organic Behemoth spearheading the entire fleet.
"Reports inbound, Admiral. There appears to be two seperate blocs so far. We have VIDs on two others, CoreWorlds and Huntaerian ships, from long-range sweeps. None others identifiable at this time."
"Once again, no action. Continue on course to see who the others are," Karath ordered.
The fleet continued to plow forward, on towards the Jedi craft, to see what was up.

The Fourth listened to the Coredian response with mild interest. He debated about sending a reply but decided it was better to show the Kldath’u meant business. The Jedi would be harvested to feed the hungry masses back home in the Star Dominion’s space. He sent a private order to all ships to begin the assault against the defenders of the Jedi.
The organic warships of the Kldath’u diverted their psychic energy to support the exoskeleton armor. The spore batteries took aim at the nearest enemy ships and began to unleash what would seemed to be a stream of bio spores. These spores were small creatures that contained highly volatile substances in it’s small body. The spores would speed towards their target with the goal of smashing their body into the shields or hulls of the enemy vessels. The resulting explosion would cause damage to the enemy vessel.
The Fourth watched as his bio ships fired wave after wave of the spores at the forces of the Coredians the Amazonians and the Sephrioth.

"Incoming spread weaponry!"
"Countermeasures! Deploy all support craft!" yelled Karath.
From the bowels of the ship, countermeasure systems began throwing up defenses from all craft, metal rain of explosive chaff thrown out to catch and detonate the spores, as interceptor rockets flew out on intercept vectors. A small number of spores got past the initial wave of countermeasures, smashing into the Leviathan's particle shield banks, green splotches emerging from impact strikes.
"All fighters and gunships, clear for launch."
From the hangers of the fleet, fighter craft and assault shuttles flew out, deploying into attack formation as the capital fleet moved around, the Dominion's own bioships angling in with the fighters, the medium craft armed with incredible trans-dimensional weaponry using agility to move in.
"All batteries, FIRE!"
From the Leviathan came a sheet of energy, blue lights flashing as turbolasers, static cannons, and combine cannons threw up a light show in front of the fleet, plasma drivers and torpedo tubes hurling missile weaponry. The other capital craft got into the fight, shooting out their own guns.
The fighters, gunships, and bioships began to converge on the enemy bioships, striking fast with a volley of torpedos and from the bioships, meteor throwers hurling burning rock the size of interceptors towards the enemy. The fast craft banked up and away, dodging return fire.

"It seems it has begun." Sakura smiled and cracked her knuckles loud enough to visibly make the bridge crew wince. Explosions splashed across the shields of the Coredian 8th Fleet members, but it would take a lot more than that to deal more than superficial damage to them! "Nekomata Squadron, execute Pattern Maneuver Alpha!"
Here is the deal. The Coredian 8th Fleet, instead of having normal Star Destroyer-like engines, have a custom engine that utilizes a little-known ability of inertial compensators to increase their maneuverability. Known to laymen as vector-thrust engines, they allow even the mile long Shinobi battlecruisers to run rings around their slower enemies. As such, Pattern Maneuver Alpha is a tactic that utilizes the engines to their advantage.
The Nekomata, named after the two-tailed cat demon who happens to be a necromancer extraordinaire, is one of four Shinobi battlecruisers with two Katana cruisers and two Nova destroyers as escorts. They swiftly sped for the bioships, but instead of a steady acceleration, they bobbed and weave like oversized fighters or gunships, making it a lot harder for enemy forces to track and destroy the ships. But that's not all, for their advanced Athenia Combat Systems allowed them to keep track of their enemies and fire all manner of weapons from heavy turbolasers to railcannons to beamlasers (think of a super-sized industrial laser or LAAT composite beam cannons writ large; in other words, slicer beams) even while doing twists and turns that would, in the boasts of the manufacturers, put Wedge Antilles to shame. Combined with their powerful shields, the five ships would give a terrible reckoning to all enemies it encounters. And wait until they begin unleashing the special weapons!
After all, to the Konoha Shinobi, the best defense is to not get hit at all while on the offensive...

The enemy counter attacks were felt by the fleet. The exoskeleton’s were luckily reinforced by the psychic energy of the ships. They were able to take the prey’s return fire as plasma and lasers cut into their bones. The bio ships continued to use their spores weapons to strike the enemy vessels.
The lead bio ships started to fire their heavy weapons. The exoskeleton needles, These skeletal missiles were large structures that grew from the very bones of the ships. They acted like giant mass drivers that would smash into the enemy’s shields they would then drill into them until they either gave in or broke into their hulls making an opening for the bio ship’s more lethal weaponry that were meant for the crew…
The Amazonian ships were a problem and spores had to be set to target their smaller ships in order to protect the main parts of the fleet. The incoming spores were now becoming a sort of point defense weapon and an offensive attack weapon. The skeletal needles however continued toward the enemy capital ship’s in attempt to break them up and make them more vulnerable for the advancing bio ships.
The Sephrioth RKV’s were meant with intercepting spores that attempted to protect their parent ships from destruction. These small and highly maneuverable creatures would smash their bodies into the incoming weapons destroying roughly half of them. The other half managed to bypass the wall of spores and strike the exoskeleton armor of the bio ships. This lead to sever cracking of the first two layers.
The Coredian ships were a surprise as they continued to come and evade even the well coordinated spores. The needles were deployed to hopefully slow them down as the Harvester Mothership power up her Psychic wave cannon. This was the Kldath’u’s pride and joy in capital ship fighting. This mighty weapon could smash and approaching fleet. It fired a concentrated blast from the power of the hive mind. It would create a massive wave of psychic energy that would destroy or wipe out anything that did not have enough mass or armor to hold from the approaching blast…
The Psychic Wave Cannon had a wide range and it was hoped the Coredian ships would be hit by the upcoming blast in a timed shot..

Nachshon didn't take long to decide who to ally with. He took up position between the Amazonian and Coredian fleets, not separate enough to attract special attention, while distant enough to avoid being hit by the barrage intended for the larger fleets. He targeted multiple bioships with his missile launchers, and opened fire.
Two of the medium-size bioships recieved two Bloodclaw gravitic missiles each, while the Mothership got the heavier Scourge missile. Nachshon knew that the enemy fleet was large, but given that he had 4000 Bloodclaw missiles and 1000 Scourge missiles in his hold, he wasn't too concerned about running out. And he would keep firing. Every ten seconds, another set of Bloodclaw missiles would spew forth. Every twelve seconds, another Scourge missile would be launched. This would continue until one of three things happened:
The enemy fleet died or retreated
Nachshon died or retreated
Nachshon ran out of missiles (unlikely)
Nachshon also activated his shield hardener, which would decrease damage by about 25%.
This was a battle against a foe unlike any he had ever seen, but Nachshon was a hardened veteran of space combat. He figured he could take them - or, if not, survive long enough to flee with his ship intact.

The Fourth watched the explosions and the weapons striking the united enemy fleet and his own fleet via the hive mind with his ships. The pain was intense as the enemy kept firing extremely hot plasma and burning laser weapons. The missiles and RKVs also were painful as they made fusion blasts along the armor like plating of the ship’s exoskeleton layers.
The Fourth ordered his forces to start to pull back to the outer limits of the system and make a warp jump back to Star Dominion space. The other Harvest Fleets had already received the message that indeed a formidable enemy was living here. It would only be a matter of time for a larger force to come and Harvest these pathetic prey creatures that dare defy their predators.
The bio ships started pulling back while still using the remain spores as cover for their retreat. They continued to barrage and barrage at much faster rate as the once defensive spores started join their brothers in a suicide strike on all enemy forces. The sight would have been impressive as mass explosions would strike their shields and hulls in multiply explosions.
The Skeletal needles kept firing and trying to break up the enemy fleet formations and discourage the enemy from following the retreating forces of the Harvester fleet. The Kldath’u ships could not take any more. They were starting to have their armor punctured through. That would leave their ships with exposed skin able to be struck through possibly hitting vital organs or making a whole that would suck out the drones living inside…

Blue chakra energy formed around each of the ships in a series of waves. Then the chakra on all but one of the ships collapsed on itself, and the ships disappeared in what would technologically be a Spacefold, leaving nothing but a cloud of white space-smoke. The last ship, a Katana cruiser was crippled by the needles and it was obliterated by the psychic wave with all hands lost.
But where was the other four?

From the poofs of smoke, a massive Alpha Strike of glowing yellow Quantum Shattermissiles (think Ancient Drones from Stargate) rained down upon the Mothership. Each missile would impact the mothership and detonate, blowing twenty-meter holes via quantum disintegration. In other words, matter becomes subatomic particles upon impact and cascade outwards to destroy other matter. The assaults were followed up by a second strike of beamlasers, turbolasers and railcannons.
Vengeance from the Shinobi is great and terrible indeed!

OOC: alot has happened recently >_>
IC: The battle in space took place almost to fast for the still gathering Jedi forces but with the threat of attack several consular cruisers had left to eventually arrive at the Jedi Order’s hidden system, in the mean time Eta-2s and Delta-7s slew forward to fire there Ion and Laser Cannons at the bio-ships and the Venator along with the four CR90 Corvette escorts now ready for battle fired everything they had at the lead Kldath’u ship.
And at that particular point in time, the Kython Slaughterstar rather abruptly materialized in the midst of the battle at surprisingly high speeds, above the Deatharon fleet in relation to the ecliptic on a course to move through the majority of the evidently enraged Kldath'u fleet as they attempted to focus their attentions on the Coredians.
As it approached, several of the massive blades dislodged from the great dreadnought and surged forth towards the bio-ships with full intent to ram, shifting course to match the maneuverings of their target while the main vessel opened its own primary salvo. Several great pulses of spatial distortion reported the shockwaves of condensed momentum sent forth by the Kython Slaughterstar on its great charge against the Kldath'u forces...
OOC: Condensed Momentum pulses are from Quantum Renders. Basically imagine the Kldath'u vessels as being struck by small-ish asteroids at relativistic speeds for purposes of general damage estimates. They also cause similar buffeting, as the momentum transfers to the targeted vessel and sends it flying in the shot's general direction.
As for the blades, they have every intent to ram, but they are not going to actually cause any major explosions or anything. They will cause some hull damage, but for the most part they will splatter like water balloons about the surface of each targeted ship. Assume roughly that there are enough blades to strike each Kldath'u ship.

(Sheesh. Y'all move fast if this came about in less than a day.)
The arrival of the Star Dominion's fleet was picked up by Myth sensors as well as visual scanning from the bridge. First assumptions was that they were here for similar purposes, but then a message was widely broadcasted. Attacks soon followed eliminating all doubt as to what their intentions were. Now a battle had broken out causing all others to ban together in one great defense for this new voice in the stars. For now, the Kython drones in front of the ship were ignored as their attention shifted to ever amounting assaults.
Shizra began barking out orders to her crew and they executed them like a well oiled machine. "Helm, bring us about and close in on the enemy. Weapons control, bring the heavy particle cannons online and load MAC rounds. I want the defense grid ready for any retalliation. Engineering, bring us to battlespeed and get us in the fight."
As one, the crew shouted "yes War Mistress!"
The battleship turned with ease to face the source of agression. Propulsion systems threw the ship into the fire quickly advancing on to the closest target. Targeting systems locked on to the organic masses. Medium particle cannons and burst cannons came on line. Turrets slid out from armored panneling and swivelled to target the enemy. Closest target would appear to be ships attacking the Coredian fleet. "Forward batteries, FIRE!"
Energy was funneled into the forward turrets until it built up to peak capacity. A resounding concusion echoed a rocked the ship back causing inertia dampers to work harder to keep the crew from even feeling the slight shift. White hot energy streaked from multiple barrels and raced out towards the Kladth'u ships attacking the Coredian vessels.

“Captain, we have a large organic fleet appearing on the edge of the system.”
“Interesting, not many nations use organics. Try to identify them.”
“They are broadcasting a message. It is also Psionic in nature.”
“Run it through the filters and show it to me. Shipmind, analyze the signal and message. I want to know possible weaknesses of their Psyche. I want to monopolize on them.”
After listening to the message, the crew began to giggle. IT was not a physical giggle but a mental one. It was almost contagious but it was none the less a giggle. Shipmind was busy analyzing the new enemy and would give its recommendation when it was ready.
“Recall the drones and ready the ship for a combat jump.”
“Yes Sir, sending recall orders now. There are reports the Sephrioth vessels are joining in the attack against the alien vessel.”
“Good, one less enemy to worry about. Take us to the rear of the alien command vessel. I want us below it and all weapons ready to fire.”
The drones that had intercepted the battleship returned to The Undisclosed Peril and merged with the larger vessel. The 120 meter Interceptor Destroyer then realigned to face the enemy. The ship then faded away into nothingness as it Uplifted into T-Space.
While in T-Space, it maneuvered into the position it wanted and then it Emerged. It appeared below the huge vessel just as the Coreworlds ships tore it a new hole.
“Sir, it appears the mother ship has already been taken care of. It has been ruptured and exposed to the void.”
“Hmmm, how goes the rest of the battle?”
“It appears they can take care of themselves. The Godular vessels are entering the battle.”
“Take us into the mother ship.”
“Yes Sir.”
The Undisclosed Peril suddenly reversed in an upwards arc and halted for a moment as it redirected its momentum to dive into one of the large openings. The rear fins bent and warped so they were horizontal and did not interfere with the maneuver.
“Sir, we are inside the vessel. Everything is organic around us.”
“Deconstruct and convert the ship. We will use the mass for later.”
Unseen by anyone, The Undisclosed Peril crumpled into Balrogga Strain Kythons and the ship was consumed from the inside by the black plague. The Kython Swarm made short work of the soft tissues and even the bone material. All was converted to Thur’Tahg allowing the creation of more Kythons. The huge ship would yield even more material and then things will get nasty.

"They're moving on the Coredians, commander."
"Divert all firepower on the aggressors!" Karath screamed.
Amazonian bomber wings diverted coarse, navigating around the floating dead hulks of two destroyed Amazonian corvettes. Focusing on the bioships angling towards the Coredians, the bombers let off torrents of torpedoes, bright violet projectiles homing towards the bioships, explosive cores primed. The lighter corvettes and patrol craft backed up the Amazonian fighter waves, gunships cutting in with beam lasers. Though several squadrons had been wiped out by point-defense spores, many more were still pouring out from the Leviathan and two Cavernous-class Carriers.
A single message went out from the onrushing Kython Slaughterstar as it roared to within seconds of crossing the bio ships, and the great blades were almost upon their selected targets:

The missiles broke through their already weakened armor and punctured several vital organs. This was fatal to the bio ships and they will all bleeding their same light greenish blood.
The remaining ships growled in rage and prepared to attack the incoming Kython Slaughterstar with the remaining active spores. They began to try to make an evasive maneuver away from the deadly blade like weapons. The only problem was the Kython ship was already to close and they were all damaged and two large to make sudden movements in space.
The children of the Mothership watched hopelessly as their Mother’s murders escaped away as agile as a kitten. They sent one last blast of Skeletal needles to hopefully hit one of the retreating Coredian vessels before they all meet death at the hands of the Kython.

The three destroyers circled above the biological wreckage as the black swarm continued to devour the organic ship from the inside. Two of the Interceptors joined with the Coreworld fleet as they returned to keep an eye upon the Mationbud fleet while The Undisclosed Peril circled down to observe the destruction of the remaining biofleet vessels by the Godular craft. The ship sent out a simple message to the fleets nearby.

And a little supplemental:
Communication to the Sephrion attack force:
The screams, confused the already dysfunctional fleet. They started breaking formation and smashing into each other trying to avoid the terrible noise. The blades of the enemy's craft already had brought massive damage to the damaged bio ships and the increasing infection was becoming more trouble some for the disorganized fleet. In the past if the Harvester Mothership and the Harvester Master were still alive the ship's repair cells would have acted as an immune system to such infections.
The problem was without the power of the Hive mind to back them up. These vessels were little more than giant space animals that lacked a master...
The fleet was doomed as they continued to fight back. They wildly fired spores in every direction sometimes hitting their own comrades. This lead to the premature death of ten bio ships as they were struck and fired upon by their confused brothers. The Harvester bio fleet was crippled beyond any obvious repair…
And in the Chaos, the Infectious blotches continued to expand, stripping molecules layer by layer from the vessels and incorporating them into the crystalline cancers that continued to penetrate deeper and deeper into each bio-ship. Any pressurized sections or, considering they were bio-ships, blood vessels of any type, reached by the infections would simply spread the blotch further and further.
As each blotch grew, its rate of expansion would continue to accelerate, larger blotches growing in size visibly even beyond the occasional 'supplement' provided by the Dreadnought. Curiously, the Slaughterstar was focusing less of its attention on supplementing each of the blotches, as by now they were more than self-sufficient, and more on 'guiding' stray pieces of matter and organic shrapnel getting kicked up by the Bio-ships 'Thrashing'. Any piece of matter larger than a fighter was helpfully latched on to by gravitonic tractor effects and guided to an infectious blotch, which would swiftly engulf and absorb the object, further accelerating the expansion.
With the progression of the 'propagation process' ongoing, shapes began to take form, emerging from the bulk of the great blotch. A number of disc-shaped 'things' appeared to rise from the greater bulk of the ship, as more and more matter was absorbed and resistance beyond simple death throes was effectively nil, the blotch could now focus its attentions on crafting Kython vessels, the point of the entire exercise.

OOC: Bio-Ships are large constructions usually about the size of a Heavy Cruiser class vessel. They are used as both troop transport carriers and main capital ships against the enemy or prey as they like to call their enemies. They are fully organic and thus their weapons and armor are all grown from themselves. They are dominated by the power of the Kladth’u hive mind and the Queen of the Fleet or the Harvester Mothership.
Harvester Mothership is about the size of a small asteroid. These monstrosities are the fully mature version of a Bio-ship. They act as a queen to the fleet and serves as the brain or authority figure of the Fleet. They are also fully organic and always contain the Harvest Master. They contain several hundred thousand Kldath’u drones. The current one is dead and is fully organic nothing artificial or enhanced..
IC:
The Bio ships began to suffer and wail in telepathic screams of pain as the blotches expanded and started becoming ships ripping of their flesh and tearing vital organ and muscle tissue. The survivors were practically begging for a clean death as spasms of pain ripped across their bodies.
They continued to fight back but it was as effective as a butterfly trying to break out of a birds beak. The poor creatures were desperate enough to send a telepathic screams into the minds of their tormentors begging for the end of this painful torture of having their bodies slowly torn apart by the Kython ships that were taking their bodies piece by piece.

Tears in her armor slowly appeared and where openings were, the black creatures emerged and began to swarm the outer hull. Violet energy blades extending from the limbs of the insect/reptile amalgamation left meter deep slashes in the hull as they swarmed across the hull.
Black splotches of Infection began to emerge upon the outer skin of the beleaguered Mothership. The Infection was the conversion of the base material of the vessel, in this case the organic tissue of the Mothership, into a material called Thur’Tahg, a living morphic metal the color of death. The Infection spread itself through direct contact, and as material was converted, it in turn infected it’s neighboring particles in an ever widening effect. As more and more tissue was transmuted into Thur’Tahg, the area of the Infection grew, seemingly to speed up but that was only an illusion because the contact area has increased giving the mistaken effect of speeding up the infection fate
As Infection spread through the tissues of the dead mother, the areas of converted matter began to writhe and twist as shapes emerged. Sometimes the first thing seen was an insect leg, a reptile like arm, or even the spine encrusted toothy head of the creature. Soon the rest followed as a new creature was born from the black infection of converted matter. The newly formed creature pulled it’s Thur’Tahg body from the corpse of the Mothership and took to the void, joining the swarm with its siblings. Already thousands were gliding across the hull while unknown numbers writhed deep inside the fallen vessel, eating their way through the tissues inside or spreading Infection, both way to propagate their numbers.
Any ships that strayed within a thousand meters of the creatures would experience another of the dreaded abilities of the Kythons.
The Death Scream.
It was aptly named so because so many people have died upon falling under its effects. The Death Scream is a psychic attack emitted and amplified by all the Kythons in an attacking or feeding swarm. The Death Scream is literally a direct attack consisting of outpouring raw rage and hatred straight into the minds of any who were unfortunate enough to be within range of the area effect. Most victims clutched their ears in a vain effort to keep the voices of their comrades from screaming their death wails away, not realizing it was not a sound they were hearing, but a directed psychic barrage. Fighter pilots usually died as their ship was cut from around them or they lost control and crashed as they clawed at their ears trying to stop the tortured voices of their loved ones. The few survivors of a Death Scream rarely were considered normal afterwards and were usually institutionalized for their own safety, or put out of their misery by a sympathetic blaster round.
The Kythons have barely started on the Mothership. There was still a lot of vessel to devour yet, but they were busy and determined and as their numbers grew, their speed increased.
OOC: Oh, so they DO have troops on 'em. I wasn't sure on that. That makes things more interesting. Also, its important to note that the Balroggan and Godulan strains of the Kythons utilize different Death Screams. The Godulan Strain uses a Fear effect, as described, while the Balroggan strain uses a Rage effect, also as described. Combined it kinda turns into an induced insanity effect. Unless otherwise stated though, it usually only affects the ships being infected.
IC:
The Infection spread, more and more, faster and faster, and visible indentations became visible in the formerly organic structure of the bioships. The blades grew further and further out of the infection crackling with energy as their growth enabled them more energy.
Inside the ship, however, in pressurized sections that saw the advancing infection, a great buzzing hum could be heard as energy crackled along the walls and floors, disintegrating and reintegrating molecules to add to the great crystalline blotch. Strange four-armed creatures of reptilian and insectoid morphology began to crawl from the blotches as if they were crawling out of mud, their long toothy jaws working to put forth a disturbing chittering hiss as they began to crawl deeper into the ship, each of their arms sprouting blades of plasma. Impaler drones, every one, they preferred moving along the ceilings and walls, anywhere but the floor, and came at any defending forces with tremendous speed and ferocity. Any Impalers that fell under defending fire would not simply crumple down and die, no, they would pop like water balloons, spreading Kythonstuff all over the surroundings. Any contact with non-Kython matter would result in the spatterings burning away at the surroundings like concentrated acid before eventually burning themselves out and leaving nought but dust in their wake.
The scream slackened somewhat, seeing as there was little to no point in keeping it up anymore. In its place were the humm of the blotch and the hiss of the Impaler Drones, and another voice...
It crawled forth from the blotches like the legions of drones before it. Humanoid in shape and like a fallen crystal angel in appearance, wings working like a second set of hands, feet moving with a disturbing fluidity, and expression showing an agonized rapture as it swayed and moved to the sounds around it.
Shhhh... it will all be over soon...

Many decades ago, a poor, innocent space hulk entered into the territory of the Imperium of Skavendom. The Skaven, having just recently discovered the majestic warp, which they regarded as the divine dwelling of the Horned One, took this hulk as a divine gift. The space hulk was boarded by a massive force of a million ratling engineers, soldiers, Gray Seers and slaves before it promptly re-entered the chaos of the warp.
After many years within the 'Divine Realm' the Space Hulk, designated HSS Black Crusade, exited the warp falling quite perfectly and apathetically upon the ninth planet of the Jedi Order's system. Though the long period within the warp caused little change in the space hulk, its denizens did a great deal of changing on their own. After only the first decade on the Black Crusade, the Skaven changed it into a portable colony complete with heavy armour and bristling with warp-powered weapons. Massive part-organic tentacles reached towards the planet from the bottom of the hulk, preparing to root and corrupt the world.
Somehow, throughout the journey, the Gray Seers maintained control over the now five million rat population aboard the Black Crusade. These wise though insane rulers saw that they were landing in the midst of some territorial conflict and convened within their extravogant quarters to debated their action within this crisis. Roughly translated from the chittering tongue of the rat, what follows is that debate amongst the provisional Councial of 13:
"We join today fellow seers, to debate our action within this seemingly international conflict." spoke the mighty headrat Gray Seer Sakkron. "I believe our best option in this situation is to confuse our foes into fighting one and other."
"Madness!" shouted the low ranking Warlord Sinirk, "We know too little about these nations to divide them so easily! We might just be uniting them against us! I say we do nothing and try to slip by unnoticed."
"I agree with that scum to some degree," spat the venerable Gray Seer Gerrikk, "but we've managed to gather some comm information from both sides. Not enough to understand the situation or what exactly they're doing, mind you, but enough to determine atleast three factions. One seems to be some sort of empire out to destroy all 'jet-aye', another claims to be much like our self-rightous enemies of old and the third seems much more vague in intensions. Not that it matters, its far too complicated to understand and I think we should just land unnoticed."
Few seemed to agree with the non-interventionist however, finding much more entertainment in deception. Thus the council decided to decieve their foes before landing upon the surface. There was an argument about what the best way to ignite the situation. They all eventually decided upon one simple statement that would gather the greatest attention transmitting it just before the hulk landing upon the planet's surface:

=====
As the task force exited hyperspace several million kilometers away from the ninth planet, a message was sent to the Skaven forces.
"This is Sarutobi Asuma of the Imperial Republic of Coreworlds to unknown forces. This system is under the protection of the Jedi Order and its allies. Leave immediately or face the consequences!"

The landing upon the ninth world was a surprisingly safe one. The chaos-borne tentacles immediately began to bore through the crust of the world creating a prefect underground network for the ratmen whilst corrupting the very planet. Already small imps were emerging from the corrupt ground to cause mayhem. The Skaven marched from their immobile ship in droves from both above-ground and below, forming into their armies and setting up defences and colonies. The Skaven were entirely focused on fortifying their foothold rather than expanding. With their superior numbers and the alleged chaos they added to the tensions above, they saw no need for immediate expansion. The greatest trait of the Skaven is patience.
Within the control room of the Black Crusade, however, time was entirely too short. Already enemy forces circled like wolves around the immobile star ship awaiting merely for an opening. One of the more alert nations sent a useless ultimatum:
"This is Sarutobi Asuma of the Imperial Republic of Coreworlds to unknown forces. This system is under the protection of the Jedi Order and its allies. Leave immediately or face the consequences!"
Having recently assumed control of the colony from the provisional Council of 13, the insidious Gray Seer Sakkron began his reply to this lesser race:
#PRIVATE MSG
#TO STARCRAFT 'SARUTOBI ASUMA'
#FROM BLACK CRUSADE COLONY
This is Provisional Dictator Sakkron of the Black Crusade Colony. I'm afraid that we are unable to comply, since we are somewhat 'rooted' to this spot. If you are so quickly to come to violence we will follow the same course. Thus, any attack upon the newly founded Black Crusade Colony will result in the wholesale slaughter of any and all non-Skaven found upon this world. Destruction of the colony will result in the very least the attempted destruction of this dismal world. I hope you will come to your senses and leave this world in the hands of a more deserving race.
#END MSG
Following the message several rockets from the Black Crusade were fired around whatever non-skaven towns were nearby to show the seriousness of the statement. Like the roots of the colony the tensions were rapidly growing about this poor, new nation.

"Then we will root you out like the vermin you are."
"Rodent fools." Sakura sighed. "Kunai One through Four, Shunshin Jump and stop those rockets! Then they will bombard the Black Crusade colony. Do it!"
Four of the fleet's Katana-class cruisers had a slight blue glow before poofing away in clouds of space-smoke. The rockets sped towards the Jedi domed colonies...only to smack into four powerful shields as the Katanas popped back into existence. The point-defense cannons took care of the others. The vector thrust engines kept the Katanas floating in the atmosphere as they moved for the Black Crusade ship. The cruisers sent brilliant green composite blasts of energy down upon the Skaven forces, gouging out deep lines in the ground to cut the tentacles and causing fiery concussive waves whereever they touched. Then they stopped to cool down for a few seconds and in those seconds, packets of destructive particle/energy bolts pounded the Colony itself. Then the beamlasers lit up again, gouging more ground as they sought to slice up and destroy the new Skaven colony before it could take root...

Terrified rats that had left the safety of the colony ran about like headless chickens as the mighty laser wrought destruction from the heavens. The mighty chaos tentacles below were severed and stopped for a moment. Sadly, it took only a minute for the severed root to regrow along with several others.
"Damned fools!" Spat Sakkron, "Fire all cannons and activate the warp shield! No foe has ever been able to with stand our mighty anti-air defences for long!"
Quickly the massive colony changed from a mere city to a bristling, impentreble fortress. The sky was filled with weapons of all sorts from many different eras. Flak cannons and particle-beam weapons fired side by side in their attempt to annilate this unknown foe. Gray Seers used their innate powers to form forbidding Warp Lightning Storms which barraged an atomospheric foes with horrid green lightening. Under this cover the Skaven infatry was reformed along side clockwork, warpstone-powered tanks towards the nearest and greatest city they could find burning and salting everything in their path. The enemy had choosen warfare and the Skaven were much obliged to use all available reasources to make as much devastation as possible.

The enemy had choosen warfare and the Skaven were much obliged to use all available reasources to make as much devastation as possible.
The cruisers were stung by the assaults, but it would take more than the particle beams and flak cannons to bring them down. Even so, they wobbled and weaved through the air, making it harder to shoot them down while they blasted away at the enemy forces.
Then the enemy shield came alive and the bombardments were smacked away.
"So, they have a shield after all." Sakura smirked. "Nuke them! It's the only way to be sure!"
"Huh?" Crew asked, looking at her oddly.
She suddenly grew fangs and a vein started popping on her head. "Full weapons release, all right? Move in with all ships!"
"Ah! Aye, ma'am!" The crew rushed back to their duties.
The four Katana-class cruisers recieved the order and then their weapons loadout intensified greatly. Missiles roared out and impacted the tanks rolling out from the ground. Beamlasers, railcannons and turbolasers were powered up to full, laying down a constant bombardment on the shields. At full power, beamlasers, can even pierce the shields although the actual impact to the ground or hull is diminished. The bombardment increased when the other six ships moved closer and added their firepower to the assault.
Then the warp lightning hit the Katana cruisers, proving troublesome as they drained the shields more than the particle cannons did. The cruisers were forced to move to higher orbit, but now the rats have just escalated the battle. Now it was time to counterattack with the Shinobis' own powers!
Sakura Haruno smirked as she performed the final seal to her technique. She closed her eyes, and when they opened again, they were piercing. She muttered something in ancient Coredian (Japanese).
It is said that a powerful enough illusion can distort the perception of reality to the point where it would be possible to actually attack a person's body and cause damage. Sakura's technique is one of those Genjutsu, or illusions.
The tanks continued to be slaughtered by missile and turbolaser bombardments, but something appeared and charged forth to attack the tanks. Something more horrifying than missile bombardments or beamlaser strikes. Something that will strike fear in any rodent, no matter what they were.
Cats. Giant cats. Giant rateating cats salivating at the prospect of a great feast. They stampeded by the hundreds, appearing to pass through the tanks and walls to get at the soft meat inside and moved onwards to slaughter the screaming rats. They weren't actually slaughtered, of course, but the distortion of reality would probably leave them paralyzed with mortal terror and even cause heart attacks.
And that paralysis would definitely be fatal as the ten Coredian ships took every opportunity to kill the vermin fast and then pound the shield to oblivion.
And soon, the real cats would be deployed if Sakura so chose...

Nachshon came to his decision. He would go in, but remain at a high altitude.
When he got within 50 kilometers of the colony, he opened up with his missiles, but kept his altitude. He targeted anyone outside the shield, raining gravitic missiles on them out of his seemingly inexhaustible supply.

Skaven once more ran about in utter terror of the riduclous cat-like illusions. Within their command posts, warlords and Gray Seers looked upon the scene rolling about the floors laughing and crying at the disarray. Supreme terror and ridiculous humor wrought disaray outside the Black Crusade.
Within the colony's mighty walls, however, cold and calculating stability resumed. The anti-shield bombardment was becoming very worrying. Several troop quarters and the primary hanger bay was utterly destroyed by the enemy barrage. Fortunately Sakkron had a few tricks left before he sued for peace...
"Peons! Why haven't you fired ALL of our armaments?! Fire the sub-atomic anti-air missles, engage the EMP-cannon, activate our SAM sites, fire the plasma cannons, scatter the damned fighters and bombers! By hell, launch the ballista or throw some stones at 'em!! I want those ships destroyed by whatever means necessary!!!" Sakkron roared at the bewildered serfs. "Send for Warlock Engineer Geratt and his followers. I need them to prepare Project: Doom Hemisphere..."
The space within atleast a hundred mile circumference above colony Black Crusade was filled entirely with practically every projectile from the stone to the atomic missle to a wide variety of futuristic weaponry. Ramshackle Skaven fighters fought to avoid their own comrades anti-air fire, attempting to harrasses the Coreworldian flanks. Colony Black Crusade was not going to be something to merely be swept aside with ease.

"Crap..." Sakura swore as the ships recieved blows from the enemy's cannons and other weapons. "Initiate evasive action! First shattermissile volley, fire!"
Upon Sakura's orders, the ten-ship fleet began to evade the fire rapidly and randomly, using their vector thrust engines to avoid most of the enemy's fire. In the meantime, a volley of glowing yellow missiles flew out of missile pods and streamed down into the Black Colony. Each missile had the ability to 'shatter' shields by using quantum mechanics to transform them into glass, then the missile behind it would go through the hole and aim for an emplacement or simply burrow into the Colony's walls and detonate in a very explosive fashion, disintegrating matter into subatomic particles and the particles flying to disrupt other atoms, releasing violent energy along the way. The hole was also followed by turbolaser and beamlaser bombardments as well as ordinary missiles.
There were a hundred missiles per volley for three volleys. A thousand missiles from ten ships. Doom has come to the Skaven. Destruction has arrived for the rats...

Long would the tale told by the survivors of the Black Crusade incident be remembered in the analogs of the Imperium of Skavendom. For a moment the colony stood fast, defiantly firing its lethal barrage at the pathetic enemy vessels. Then there were hundreds of streaks of missles crossing the sky, followed by a soul shattering explosion. after the smoke cleared the towering spires and mighty fortress-walls of mighty Black Crusade were gone. Only the bare foundations remained, smouldering.
Perhaps this was for the best of the Skaven Imperium. Too long they had slid by by their primative technologies and superior numbers. Now a truly formidable foe had, with ease, annilated the pride of all known Skaven colonial efforts. Black Crusade was then, in essence, a test of the power for the Imperium of Skavendom, one which they had failed.
It was by the mere mercy of the gods that the Skaven control room survived the barrage and Sakkron, though bruised and mortified, survived. Still quite awestricken he ordered the raising of the white flag of truce. Through the only remaining communication relay, he sent forth am audio version of the white flag.

The five ships which had been watching in silence until the battle with the Skaven colony drifted over as that brief struggle was brought to its swift conclusion. Immediately after Sakkron sent out his message of surrender, the largest of the five transmitted a short, simple message of its own.

It is clear then that you understand what we want. We do wish for you to leave this system immediately. However, if it is indeed impossible to extradict your colony, we have a proposal:
We can help you search for a viable system from where you can relocate. Once we find a viable system, we can airlift your people off the planet here and onto a habitable planet of that system. The Colony itself will then remain and become part of this planet.
How does that sound?

Though the colony had stopped firing the vicious tentacles from the warp continued its vile journey to corrupt the planet's core. Govenor Sakkron was not entirely pleased about this, but destroying the warp beast now might destroy one of their greatest diplomatic advantages. Then again, the planet suddenly becoming a haven for horrendous beings of chaos might not look so good during an armistice.

From what your communications experts have interpretted, there is currently a galactic war between those that support these "jet-ayi" and those that wish their destruction. We will stay here, destroying that vile warp-tentacle-thing, and protect this planet in return for continued existance. Our landing here had no doubt been recorded at our home and reinforcements are likely on route. It is in the best interests of both of our empires, I believe, for the colony to remain. It will give us a good foothold in this part of the universe, and it helps you defend these hapless "Jott-aye." If you find this agreeable, then the Imperium of Skavendom will join you, atleast for now, against the multi-national enitity you call the Galactic Empire.

Sakura could feel the dark energies from the tentacles heading towards the core. She then made her decision.
"On behalf of the Imperial Republic of Coreworlds, I will accept your assistance if and only if you destroy the tentacles. After all, corrupting a planet means that many evil demons will come out and slaughter us all and that wouldn't be very nice, right? Oh, and it's Jedi. J. E. D. I. Get it right, please!"
The Skaven leader could easily sense the wink from a pink-haired young woman who happens to be one of the top ten most powerful people in Coreworlds. Not to mention it's really quite a common sense idea.
"By the way, what do you say to us landing and helping you destroy the tentacles? We Coredians have experience in defeating demonic incursions, after all!"

The thing's heart is somewhere within this structure, it will only take a few moments to find and destroy it. Long shall this day be remembered in the minds of Skaven as a day of infamy. Count yourself lucky, for if you had proved only an equal to us, our unnumberable ranks surely would have won through attrition. So long as you hold power over us, we shall be loyal to this peace bargin.
#END TRANSMISSION
Following the brief yet omnious message, Sakkron ordered the warlock engineers to seek and destroy all of the tentacled, chaos-spawn's vital organs. Though the Skaven are indirectly beasts of the warp as well, they do not really like sharing with their brothers.
After the horrendous, orbital halocaust wrought upon the fledgling Black Crusade Colony, the Skaven population had dramatically decreased from millions to a mere thousand. But, the Skaven endured as they were apt to do and now they had a nice political haze to rebuild under. Patience, as said before, is the greatest attribute of the Skaven in general. All they had to do was wait, plot and occasionally strike from the shadows. Soon, soon they shall inherit...
