Knock, Republic of Ireland
4,532 miles northeast of Jaipur

Knock was a small town in the western part of Ireland. It was gorgeous for its valleys and meadows. Villages there were old and the residents of those villages had lived there for generations. It was situated in County Mayo, a small county of 2,083 mi². Knock was a quiet village, situated near the eastern edge of the county, with a population less than 3,500. Knock was 4,532 miles from a rotten, overinfested, and far away place called Jaipur, in the Rajasthan state of India, controlled by Savehaven2. The Republic of Safehaven2 was crumbling now and things were changing by the minute. The Islamic Unionist Federated states of Khailfah Al Muslimeen were invading through a good and sizeable chunk of Savehaven2 land and they had secretly requested the assistance of the Empire of Layarteb.

Jaipur was a big city with over 3 million people within its boundaries. Unfortunately, it wasn't ruled by any sense of democracy or government. It was an outlaw town, ruled by three warlords who controlled certain sections of the city and were always at war with each other. It was grotesque in its brutality. People died daily and nobody looked so far as a burial spot. Mothers and wives wept daily for their lost sons and husbands. Weapons were everywhere and nobody walked around without a gun. It was equivocal to the Wild West. Drugs were like money and gun barrels were bargaining devices.

The Empire and Muslimeen had a strong relationship. It had been Layartebian special forces in Afghanistan that were so instrumental in causing the downfall of the Moorish lords. Now they were being asked for help again and the Empire was too willing to help. Two teams from the 9th Special Operations Group, "Ghost Recon," was going to be deployed. The 9th SOG was a new group, organized to work in extremely hostile environments with an emphasis on deep insertions, VIP protection, kidnapping, reconnaissance, and COIN operations. Because they were meant to strike hard and fast, they operated in four man teams and two teams, being eight men in total, were equivalent to over ten times that many regular infantry soldiers.

So far, the 9th SOG only had ten teams and the first two would be deployed in this, their first combat action ever. They were prepared to board a C-5M Galaxy transport, inside of which were two vehicles, both M2010A1 Bushmaster IMVs, heavily loaded with weapons and supplies. Each Bushmaster was armed with a roof mounted 12.7 millimeter, M50A1 Heavy Machine Gun. Inside each vehicle was a 56 gallon, fresh-water supply that they would use for as long as they could. They could filter water through the vehicles as well. Each vehicle could carry up to ten people in total and because they only had four per team, they had plenty of room for supplies. Inside the vehicles they had 5,000 rounds of 12.7 millimeter ammunition, over a hundred grenades, two Javelin launchers and sixteen missile tubes, eight SRAW launchers, medical and food rations, and plenty of ammunition rounds for their assault rifles and pistols. The two vehicles would be airdropped with the soldiers, miles and miles outside of Jaipur city. The goal was to hold out until forces could secure the airport, where they would operate from thereafter.

When it was time, at 05:30 hours, local time, the C-5M lumbered down the runway. It was a twelve hour flight and because of the time difference, they were going to be jumping out of their aircraft at 23:00 hours, October 23. It would be the middle of the night and they could use the night to cover themselves as they set up their mission staging point.

The Indian Council in Delhi looked at the distress around them, and given their aptitude and alrerady present support from the Ottoman Khaif, decided to reciprocate their support of the Ottoman Khaif's operation to return order to the continent. In addition, they offered rendering limited military assistance and now await the Khaif's reply.

It seems that the events of the recent events has triggered a wave of instability. They hoped that this wouldn't them more than it needed to hurt.

The first stage of Eurasian Invasion of India, was to gain total air superior of the skies over the ex Safehaven regions. Eurasian Intel reported that most of the regions had fallen into the hand of warlords since the fall of the central government. Most of them have sizeable army. It was now up to the Air Force to soften them up for the army to finish them off.

Soon after, waves of B-52s, B-2 bombers took off from their regional air bases and begun their bombing runs on numerous targets throughout Ex-Safehaven India. Plus over 200 cruises missiles were fired at key air bases to knock out the any fighters that warlords may have in their inventory in order to gain totally air superior of the region. Over 200 SU-37s and 300 MIG-35 FULCRUMS were assigned to the mission of clear the skies of the enemy. The Eurasian General Staff plan to make begin the land war after all the warlords air forces and defense were crushed, which will happen soon enough..

12 miles southwest of Jaipur

The C-5M Galaxy was flying low, very low, only 760 feet off the ground. This was going to be a hop-and-pop maneuver for the men from the 9th SOG. The two Bushmasters would drop out first, with a 200 meter spacing between them, not that much when dealing with distance but enough that they wouldn't knock into or get tangled within each other. They would float down with large stabilizing, unmanuervable parachutes that allowed them to fall almost vertically onto their target. For the soldiers, they were going to be using high drag canopy's that opened immediately after jumping out of the plane, allowing them to descend the short distance in no time without gaining too much speed. Seven hundred and sixty feet wasn't a long way to fall and that was the truth. Combat jumps were usually done at 1,100 feet, not 760, meaning that they would be spending no time in the air, before they were on the ground, gathering their parachutes and their gear to hide it as they recovered their vehicles.

The C-5 would fly on to Nauru, refueling in midair. They would land there, rest for a few hours and then refuel, and fly on to the Galapagos Islands, then to Cuba, and then all the way back to Ireland. It was going to be one long mission for the crew of the aircraft but they were looking at a three day pass once they got back, something that gave them a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel. When the two vehicles were pushed off the rear ramp at 22:55 hours, they knew that this was going to be a serious mission. The 9th SOG followed shortly thereafter and the pilots pulled up, closing the ramp as they ascended back to 36,000 feet, slowly, conserving fuel. They wished that they would be able to land at the Andaman Islands but the secret war there was just beginning. It would be months before the islands were in the firm grasp of the Empire so it was onto Nauru as the soldiers on the ground began their own secret little war.

After two weeks of nonstop bombing of the Indian Warlords, the General Staff decide it was now time to send in the Paratroop Corps to take over and secure key roads, towns and airfields for the advancing ground forces, all six paratroop corps were deploy thought key locations in ex-Safehaven Indian, they caught the warlords off guard, as seize the locations with easy. Yet holding these areas was the hard part, the fighting between the paratroopers and the warlords armies was intense…both sides were taking loses, but the Paratroopers were able to crush any attempt by the warlords to regain control of these locations. Just Outside of Jaipur

The 9th SOG were sitting comfortably in their vehicles when the sun rose at 06:31 hours. They were just outside of the city and were using their long-range binoculars to conduct some reconnaissance. The city was big and they weren't going to attack it all by themselves. Their goal would be to infiltrate the city and capture or kill the three warlords who ruled the giant city. In the southern portion, a warlord by the name of Ekanga had a force of some 2,000 rebel fighters. In the central portion of the city was the warload Gupta and his army of slightly less, 1,800 rebels. In the north of the city, there was the warlord Ilesh. Nobody knew just how many fighters he had with him. Because of the way they were situated, they were going to assault the south first and try to sneak their way through the city to find Ekanga. They couldn't just drive through the city in their vehicles, which was something unfortunate since those gave them the most protection. The hope was that a Eurasian assault on the city from the air and from artillery would cause enough chaos and panic that it would allow them to get into the city as people dove for shelter.

The city was quiet just before the bombs fell. The 9th SOG soldiers, sitting in their Bushmasters, sleeping and catching up on their reconnaissance were startled when the first explosions rocked the air. It was the middle of the night and they were overlooking the city as the bombs fell from above. They were from aircraft, artillery, and an oncoming Marine assault. That was going to be their cue soon. As the Marines advanced on the large city, obviously slowed by the militia fighters within, the 9th SOG would move in slowly from the flanks, from behind and with single decapitation strikes, seize and kidnap the militia leaders. They could go quietly and wind up in the hands of the Eurasians or they could resist and wind up dead. The 9th SOG had a secondary objective and that was to seize two drug lords both of them hiding out from authorities. When the shots opened up on the Andaman Islands, they skipped town for Jaipur and were being protected by one of the militia leaders. They would be transported back to Empire, particularly to be imprisoned either in Nova Prospekt or worse, the Heard Island Prison Facility. It all depended what the Minister of Justice wanted to do with them.

The Battle of Jaipur, the fighting was fierce as the warlords try to hold off the Eurasian Assault on the city. Yet 9th and 10th Marine Corps pushed their way into city, and engage in street-to-street fighting against the warlord factions. The Battle for the city lasted for ten days before the city was under completely quell of all rebel forces.

The Conquest of India Campaign last for two more months, after the fall of Jaipur. The fighting was fierce for the first month after the fall of Jaipur, yet the Eurasian Forces manger to break the will of the warlords and soon one by one they all fell before Eurasian armies. Finally ex Safehaven India was under the rule of the United Federation of Eurasia, soon these war torn regions will be rebuild and made effective regions of the Federation.
