Intergalactic Declaration of Independence
The People of the Earth Colony Lincoln Prime hereby officially announce their independence from the Government of Earth, and strive from this day forth to set their own agenda, protect their own interests and create their own future.
Too long has our prospering Colony been at the hands of long-distance meddling by the Earth Government, and this has caused hardship and unfairness to our population. This ends today.
Lincoln Prime hereby declares its development of the United States, comprising the territory of Lincoln Prime. The Earth Government Lincoln Prime Defence Fore (LPDef) has formerly sworn its allegiance to the United States and has been designated the Armed Forces of the United States.
We seek therefore to open diplomatic relations with other nations across the galaxy, seek alliances and develop our interests throughout the Cosmos.
