"From the Global News Office of Grande Turquesa Isla, this is your news tonight, with your host, Alejo Fox."

"Good evening thoes at home and around the world, I'm Alejo Fox, thanks for joining me. Emancipation, many people think of Governments, countries, even cities, but every so often, there is one person that want's emancipation from their own family. 16 year old Luciana, feels she's put up with her family's poor attitude to her choice long enough."

Luciana Gradenko "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, that's my motto to them."

"Luciana Grandenko is 16, a Highschool Sophmore, and a recent Mormon Convert."

"I've just felt a stronger sense of Godliness, than I have before."

"She converted after meeting two missionaries, who gave her a Book of Mormon to read, she read it and was curious to find out more. Soon she continualy meat with the Missionaries, and agreed to be baptized and join. Her parent's however, her devout Catholic parents weren't so willing.

"They told me, oh querido you have been decived by the great evil. And at first I just brushed them off, hoping I could convert my family but things steadily went down hill."

"Her Parents were so opposed, they would barge into her church meetings, and drag her to their meetings, they would forbid her to attend Weekly Mutual Nights, and instead would take her to her Preist. Once they even tried to perform and exorcism on her, only after their requests were denied by the Church. Now Luciana decided, she's sick and tired of it, and wants to be emancipated from her family, so she can follow her own path.

"They can't break me, I'll pray always, that I may escape the hands of the servants of Satan. That's a bit of a Scriptural Refrence there (chuckle) Honestly if they can't accept my choice, I can't be with them."

"It wasn't just the lack of support, Luciana began to notice, her entire family was shunning her."

"I would go to Family Parties and everyone would just ignore me, no one would talk to me, even my own parents would just ignore me."

"And now, she's put her foot down, and has demanded freedom. How did you come about the idea of emancipation?"

"Well I was looking through Law Books at the Libary, to see what I could do about this, and I found a section on emancipation, and it said A Youth, of sound mind and stable body can if he/she so chose, emancipate themselves from their parents."

"However there is now law on the books in GTI about Emancipation of Youth.

"Well that only makes it harder, but it's my choice, they don't want to respect that choice."

From the holy City of Valarus, and the pulpit of his holiness, Gnostic Vicar, successor from the line of Valentinus, "Thomas Didymos III"

Dearest Luciana,
I offer you words of comfort as a fellow Christian and believer in Christ. Take comfort in that your true mother and true father (God almighty) watches you from heaven and smiles upon you with compassion. I ask that you consider that the Word commands to honor our father and mother, and urge you to be patient in this time of distress. If you wish and if your parents would consent I would also happily come to visit you in your nation for counseling, and perhaps we could work out a compromise. Whatever decision you make and wherever your life takes you, may the lord your god bless you and keep you, and may you overcome this obstacle on your quest for Gnosis.
-His holiness,
Vicar "Thomas Didymos III" successor from the line of Valentinus.

Dear Luciana,

We understand this is a trying time for you, and we urge you to act with caution. If it is apparent no compromise can be worked out, we will aid you in your request. But in the meantime, we'll help with family counciling.

Dear Luciana,

As a fellow High School Sophmore i agree that a person should be able to choose their own religion. However don't you think Emancipation is taking it a little too far? Just tell your parents that i wish to be Mormon and ask them to respect your choice. If they refuse i agree with everyone else and sign up for counseling.
