The candles flickered gently against a roaming breeze, times were hard for Nute Gunray his federation and trade monopoly had been snapped in two along with his masters designs. The great war that was intended to propel him into unquestioned power over his competitors had failed him. The war was a complete disaster, yet he often wondered what could have been.

His hate for the Jedi was now only amplified in proportion to the Republics over zealous reprisals. Their sanctions and military dictatorships that extended over half the Galaxy were slowly crushing public favour and opinion; and it didn't take a military genius to realise that there was ample opportunity to cause chaos and.....revolution.

Mired after his teacher and former master, Gunray enjoyed the occasional flutter in politics, he favoured himself as an engineer, a master of manipulation and subjugation, a scourer of worlds and clutcher of fortunes. The lights flickered back on just as Gunray pushed his signature onto the data pad in hand.

"Well, well, well, it seems you are still alive" A voice from the shadow chuckled. "Your efforts never cease to amaze me former Viceroy.

A sting of fear trickled down Nutes back, yes he certainly recognised this voice how could he forget? "Dddd Darth Sidious." He stammered. "You Are supposed to be dead."

"No, I can assure you that I'm quite alive." The cloaked figure emerged from the shadows. Grasping for his communicator Nute found his small cylindrical panic button fly towards the Sith. "I wouldn't be so bold as to call for help, the power cut was not a simple malfunction."

The Neimoidian rose and faced his betrayer. "What do you want Sidious?"

"I want you my friend. I want your power, your influence and your position as future viceroy of the trade federation...."

"Ha! I have none of those. Your betrayal destroyed us all. Your words are hollow and empty Sidious."

"humph." The dark lord stepped closer. "You forget, friend. That unlike the Jedi, I can kill you my Viceroy. My threats are real, and when given your death assured; that is, if you disobey me. Will you disobey me Viceroy?"

"I am not your property my lord. I do not play to the tune of the Jedi and neither the Sith."

"The Jedi are pathetic dogs, over extended and few in number. Follow me and you will become Viceroy of the Trade Federation once more, and the Republic will burn in fire."

"How... how can you be so sure?"

"I have foreseen it. Obey me Viceroy, and you will regain all that you have lost. Wealth... and power." The voice slithered the last word. "Or, if I am looking towards the wrong person, I can always find another, such as.... Rune Haako. He has been most interested it becoming Viceroy to the Trade Federation, and I'm sure he will look upon you with.... favour." The crooked smile bared its teeth. Pointed and sharp, ready to tear at its pound of flesh.

"You will bring destruction upon the Galaxy Lord Sidious"

"No, I will bring fire and...... and justice."

Kyle Avondale sat on the railing overlooking the Fountain room. This was his favorite spot to sit and meditate or think about whatever came into his mind. He wore flashy black leather Jedi Tunic. At his side were 2 Platinum plated Jade colored light sabers. His eyes were filled with deep sorrow as he looked over the sight he finds himself looking at every day. The one girl that catches his attention. Jedi Knight Bene. His heart longed for her, but in his heart he knew he wasn’t supposed to love her. He continues thought of her. Each time he did, his heart sank more, knowing he loved a girl he would never have. Every day he tries to bring himself to talk to her. But something always holds him back. He watched her sit by the fountain reading her book fro the past hour. After a deep sigh he got up and walked back to his room. Another day, another heart break.

OOC: Hehe you can see were this is going. US when you get a chance IM me.

Mace Windu leaned heavily out into the open sky of the darkened night sky of the Republic capital, tired of all that had transpired since the betrayl of Palpatine and all else that had gone down. He had personally led the battle group at Abbadon, remembering his decision sending the Jedi forth, Stass Allie vounteering to personally lead the group...and now those lay dead in the minds, to only history important, comrades, friends, passed in the great strife that Sidious had brought upon them. Where Sidious was now was unknown, but Windu no longer felt his presence. Mace knew he was aging, the years passing by. Though he was still in tip-top condition, ready for a fight, sooner or later he would not be the young man slashing his way through battle droids and attacking Dark Acolytes.
But the younglings of that time had grown some, new ones being entered, padawans developed, and the goings-on of the Jedi continued. Anakin was no longer a presence, and the Order seemed relatively peaceful. Normalcy almost irked Mace, as he had been so used to the fighting of the Clone Wars, then the betrayl of Sidious, that this peace that had lasted 5 years was odd...different. It almost didn't feel right. As if something else was amiss...
But Windu was content, most of all. Master Yoda was still around, Mace's guiding principle and close friend, that he could always rely to be on for guidance and assistance. Windu knew he could never achieve the kind of wisdom Yoda had, even if Mace was the best combatant of the Order. He was a constant, and Mace couldn't picture Master Yoda leaving any time soon. Ki Adi-Mundi, Plo Koon, and Obi-Wan Kenobi still stayed on as well, timeless leaders of the Order who Windu coordinated with.
One other thing did seem out, as well. Quinlan Vos's son, Korto, born shortly before his father's explosive death at Abbadon, now in the Order. Windu felt the same kind of feeling around the boy as he did around Quinlan...a strange sense of almost emptyness, but also like he wasn't like the rest. Strong, but detached. It was something Windu would have to watch.

IC:

A Venator entered a broadside with the Imperator class Star Destroyer and as the two ships continued pounding each other with there heavy weapons the Venator slowly began crumbling under the fire of the Imperator’s heavy guns. The Venator was known as the Antagonizer belonging to the United Moff Alliance’s fleet, and its combatant was the Intrepid, flagship of High General Aayla Secura. Though she was in the battle, she was not on the massive ship, the Jedi master was in her older Actis interceptor, and despite its age it was an effective craft. The battle was coming to an end and she was now nearing her target, Moff Vorru’s flag ship, its was then that a group of V-Wings and ARC-170s, the fighters forced her into combat, allied TIEs and Y-Wings where quick to swoop in and help Secura engage them, and dispatched them fairly quickly and with minimal loss its was to late, Vorru had escaped with his ship. With there leader having escaped the rest of the Moff Fleet began a retreat. The battle in space finished and her target lost Aayla returned to Intrepid to prepare for the land engagement ahead. After a short bit of initial planning and loading forces the attack on the planets surface began. Sentinel class Landing Craft and Acclemator assault ships came down to the planets surface. Juggernaughts, AT-ATs, AT-STs, and a variety of other craft came from the Acclamators followed by Secura and Clone troopers the resistance comprised of AT-TEs and a variety of lesser Clone War tanks and standard Moff Ground troops. The fighting got heated as the assault Republic force closed on the defending Moff force but quickly died down considerably as the overwhelming Republic force crushed the majority of the Moff tanks and the unwilling and under trained Moff troops surrendered bit by bit…the battle was won but the resistance was indeed light and Secura’s true goal was failed. She turned to Commander Bly “you did well today Commander, though we missed Vorru we are at least one step closer to defeating the Moffs. You have command of the forces for now, I shall depart soon for Coruscant” with that Aayla returned to Intrepid and to her quarters where she would meditate shortly before departing for Coruscant…

General Grievous paced the floor of his private chamber, his cyborg feet clanking on the dull metal floor. He thought about the CIS's defeat five years before, and how he could have prevented it. As he thought about it, he realized why: the Jedi especially, and the battle droid army that fell easily before a Jedi's blade. Especially the Jedi. Then he thought, " Why couldn't he have an army of Magnaguards? They were expensive and had to train, but they would be more of a match for clones and Jedi. As he thought about the Jedi, his anger rose, until he rwalizied he was unconciously gripping his lightsabers. He relaxed his hands, and as he did so, felt an unmistakable feeling in the air. Sideous. "But Lord Sideous is dead!" he muttered under his breath. But that feeling was easily identified by himself. It was a feeling of unpleasantness, anger, and cold. Then he thought,"If Lord Sideous is really here, maybe I can complete my revenge on the Jedi." There was nothing really for him with the CIS. IT was essencially bankrupt, with no army and a failed leader. He thought over his decision, thought it agreeable with himself, then picked up his personal communicator, punched in a code, and signalled the Viceroy's personal communicator.

Shrik waited patiently for the jedi and the forces to land on the Moff planet. He had posted himself here in order to watch for infiltrating Jedi, and spy on the Moffs. The Republic attack had come too fast for him to avoid, and so he was stuck until either the Republic won the ground forces, or he could break the blockade. The family that had lived in the house he was in had met with an accident just before his arrival, and so he could safely pass himself off as a civilian.

A pair of Jedi Masters, friends, walked along leisurely through the series of training rooms. The one known as Master Vice caught himself staring in reminiscence at the young Jedi hopefuls, training diligently with their partners.

"Remembering days of old, are you?" croaked the familiar voice of the venerable Jedi Master Yoda.

Vice chuckled as he looked away and down at the ancient Jedi. "I guess I forget how fast time passes sometimes. It seems like only yesterday that I was in their place, guided by your wisdom and words."

"Prevent the future, we cannot. Accept change, we must."

"Aye, change is what we all live for and what lives through us," Vice replied smiling.

And indeed it had seemed like only yesterday that the great treachery of their day had been revealed; the Chancellor a Sith Lord whose plans were just barely discovered in time and fended off, but not without great loss. Countless Jedi had perished in the Purge of the Temple and the subsequent raid on the nearly completed Death Star. Not for many years would their ranks be as close to what they were before the disaster. But all was not lost. Though Sidious had escaped and the fragile order of the galaxy lay in the balance, Yoda's efforts to restore the Republic had not been in vain. From the edge of collapse, the Republic had risen like a Phoenix from its ashes, and though not nearly the entity it had once been, it still survived to fight another day...

OOC: i am assumeing this is for certain the plannet that i RPed an attack on, and not just some other Moff planet

IC: Secura arrived in her quarters and began meditation…and with the force flowing through her she sensed a “tremor” in the force on the planet below, she attempted to concentrate on this tremor. She managed to locate the general area in which it came from. Breaking meditation and ending her origanal plan to hed to Corucant she headed quickly to Intrepid’s hanger and entering her Eta-2 she flew down to the planets surface to the general location of the tremor seeking the exact location of it…

Shrik could feel the ripple coming closer. It was probably a Jedi, and so he prepared himself with his Lightsaber and collapsable force shield under his civilian robe, just in case it found him. As he walked around aimlessly on the streets, trusting in the force to guide his steps, he could be heard muttering. "Damn them, they didn't prepare me, they sent me away. But I got some of them, yes... Then I got more." And similar phrases, over, and over, and over again.

Aayla landed her fighter and began heading toward the tremor...after a short while she was close enough to see and use the force to tell her who the man was that was causing the tremor…she activated her comm. Informing her R4 droid with her Eta-2 to link her comm. signal with one that would quickly reach Commander Bly in the event of trouble. With that she put her comm. away still turned on. then she sent a message mentally through the force to the man stating simply “who are you?” she decided that was best as it was less likely to push the man into anger or some such…

Staying as calm as he could, faced with the blatantly obvious Jedi, he simply continued walking, in the hope that it might think that he could not hear. Worst case, he would have to give up his disguise and kill it.

Secura knew the man was either ignoring her, trying to make it seem that way, or just didn't have that power. but she could sense his strength in the force and the darkness within him...she would have to face this man, he may be a key to finding the rummered Dark league or perhaps provide problems for the people here...there were other posibilities but one thing was sure, Dark Jedi didn't normaly turn out to be nice. Aayla would confront the man and both try to find out what he might know of the Dark League as well as turn him to the light...

so Secura began closing the distance between the two...

Seeing the Jedi come closer, he quickly began to empty his mind of everything, and pull down his walls, so as to seem as if he had no training. Maybe he would be able to catch this Jedi off guard...

Jedi Knight Bene walked on the balcony of the Jedi temple. She looked out at the Sky cars flying over head. Memories of her parents began to flood her mind. Ever since that day she was taken the academy she had always felt alone. She didn’t think anyone cared for her or loved her. A very deep emptiness filled her. Dusk began to fall. She retired to her quarters.

When the man’s “walls went down” Aayla sensed a shift in the powers she sensed…this meant he either had an inability to control his powers effectively or he was skilled in the ways of the force, and so she became more alert. After all, its better to expect him to be skilled then to think his control level is limited…

Yoda and the Master Vice had since departed each other's company to go about their required task.

For his part, the venerable Jedi Master hobbled his way into the training rooms and watched the younger Jedi practicing and sparring against one another. These young ones would be the new guardians of the galaxy soon enough and the world would need them more now than ever as the dark side grew stronger...

Titan Vice had briskly made his way to the launch pad and leapt aboard his ship. It was the dark side that bid him out of Coruscant...
