many years ago the nation of Darvainia fell due to a civil war that broke out. Thanks to the aid of the international community the civl war eventually ended, but it was a peace that did not last. A second revolution led to the rise of anarchy, rampant crime, and eventually economic collapse. The dark times for Darvainia took a turn, but for the worse when the socialist revolution occurred a little over a hundred years ago, and the late Wolfstein Beber was captured and sent into exile for crimes against socialism, and spreading capitalist propoganda. The nation seemed to disappear years after that, as the socialist revolution led to yet another economic collapse, and another crimewave after that. Things seemed utterly hopeless for the nation, that is until the wise Edmund Munstein united Darvainia once again through a religious revolution. His message was nonviolence, peace, and spiritual unity among Darvainians, this led to the rise of Gnosticism, and a golden age of peace and prosperity, this occurred fifty years ago. When Munstein passed away about fifteen years ago however, a newer and greater leader arised, though a questionable one. Davious Valentius was elected Chief Representative, and now crowned emperor. Do not be deceived by the title however.
"I am emperor in name only, I will always be your representative and will never lord my power over you as other emperor do. We are still a republic." he had said at his crowning. "I am not crowned emperor because I have more power, buth rather my title has changed because our nation has changed, we are no mere country anymore, but a great empire."
His latest and greatest vision yet is an interest in the renewal of the space program, which is currently operated on private funds. "This planet is old and dying. I am a libertarian at heart, and will always believe the government should be as small as possible. It should only be used where and when needed, but here it is needed." he had said in last year's state of the union address. "We must look to the stars if we can ever achieve our greatest dreams and the pass them onto a new generation. Dreams of peace and propserity. This planet is not a planet of peace and prosperity, nor is it a planet of freedom. We must therefore take our leave of it, and find a new planet on which to settle." he hopes to at least begin this sometime in the next ten years. "I will not live to see it, but I hope my baby grandchild will see it, a new planet for a new and beautiful kingdom, and one on which we can begin our exodus from this world."
In the meantime Now that Darvainia has reestablished itself as sovereign nation and entered into what could be called a golden age, the nation is seeking relations with other nations. We need someone to help us build a military, and possibly start space exploration, we also need someone who is willing to help us build a military, as we have a ripe and growing defense budget, and many men and much technology that is yet untapped potential in protecting ourselves. We also as always, seek open and free trade with all nations. No treaties necessary as a capitalist society, we invite your companies to set up shop in our nation, and only ask that you allow us the same privilege.
