OOC: No uberfleets. It's a history RP - historians and interested parties who wish to know about galactic history may come here, and those who wish to share their own knowledge likewise. Please, only share history that's happened since you joined NS (no 'our civ is 20,000 years old, and we're going to tell you about every last toenail that was clipped')

IC: The First Historian smiled. He had been given leave to call a great meeting. A meeting on the world of Genylia, the world where he, and a few others, eked out their existence in the name of history.

They had not lived there for long. Twelve years, the Historians, as they named themselves, had lived on Genylia. The tiny, rocky world, where a few bare facilities, and hydroponic farms, made way for the massive electronic storage facilities they possessed. They were primitive compared to some, but they were immensely cheap to manufacture.

Servitors took care of their every need, and, their only interest was in their probes. It had been a few years ago, when a being, identifying itself as Courtier, had granted them the spherical probes. Quick, amorphous, and strange, the probes replicated themselves whenever one was destroyed, leaving them with ten thousand constantly.

And, it was with the probes, that they discovered the history of the galaxy. Much had been granted to them from the unknown Courtier, but it was not enough. They needed more information. There were many, many holes to fill in.

The First Historian, a human, for the sake of uniformity, had called a meeting. It was a simple signal - in a thousand languages, to a million worlds. Some might've been uninhabited, but no doubt there would be those who sought knowledge, and sought to share theirs..

The Historian's message had gone thusly. We are the Historians of the galaxy. We seek to build a history, to discover what has happened in recent years, and store it in our ever-expanding databases. Those who wish to come, and share knowledge, are most welcome. The co-ordinates of the Genylia are [co-ordinates].

Simple the in extreme, but he hoped it would be effective. Trying to create a unified history for the galaxy.. it was a goal he had always hoped that he could achieve. And, although they risked Genylia itself for this, the risk.. was worth it..
