Our nation of Oslea has taken a page from other nations, although those other nations are fascist, and have declared war on the FLDS within our own borders.

Here is the Prime Minister with his war-initiating statement:

"We are not a fascist nation. We actually accept all walks of life UNLESS they infringe and lower another fellow human's quality of life. We believe that the FLDS polygamists are these very people who make life miserable for everyone else, and we have come to this decision as a result.

Our war has come with good reason. There were many stories of FLDS women who escaped their little towns and told us horrific stories of many men abusing children and their wives! We tried to reason with them through diplomatic terms and they did not listen! Is this tolerable!? I think not! On this moment, Oslea officially declares all people associated with the fake and rubbish religion of the FLDS as the enemy of Oslea and are hereby sentenced to death!"

The government says that C-17 Globemasters have dropped leaflets and white flags all over the two polygamist towns (Springcorn and Hollywell) and, communicating through the leaflets and radio broadcasts, told that any polygamist wishing to surrender will take a white flag and hold it so as to signal to Oslean troops that they will surrender and immediately switch to any other suitable religion of their choice.

5 pm, Outskirts of Springcorn

"All right soldiers!! Remember the rule of engagement in Operation Sledgehammer! Do NOT fire unless you are sure they are not holding a white flag! Also, give them one more chance to surrender if it is possible! Is that understood?"

"Yes sir!"

Oslean parliament decided not to bomb the FLDS installations with aircraft, as they could also kill surrendering polygamists.

"Go go go!!" 1,000 Oslean troops ran into the town of Springcorn and noticed that all the streets were empty. They were covered by Bradley M3 APCs and other vehicles for evacuation of converters. "No signs of ene-" The soldier speaking was hit by a rock thrown by a polygamist man from a second floor window. "Gun him down!!!"

An Oslean elite minigunner armed with a MG-134 minigun emptied 30 rounds into the man's head and upper body. "Dude, you, like wasted so much ammo." a young private said.

"Not my fault this thing fires so fast!!"

A woman and 6 kids, all scared, walked out of a building and waved their white flag. "Get in the APC." a soldier said to them. "Everything will be all right."

They walked into a Bradley M3 when they sighted a man standing in the middle of the street holding a molotov cocktail. "Get away from my family you dirty fascists!"

"That's my husband! Please don't shoot!!" the woman screamed. "Sorry ma'am, he's not holding a white flag and he's threatening us."

An MH-60s Knighthawk seemingly flew out of nowhere and positioned itself behind him.

A soldier said to him, "You have one more chance to surrender."

"Over my dead body!!"

"Fine then." The soldier ever so slightly gave the MH-60S the go-ahead signal to shoot, and the man turned around and looked behind him in horror, and got a stomachful of GAU-17 minigun rounds.

The family weeped and cried and a soldier tried to comfort them. "You'll be okay, everything will be all fine." Of course, this would not be true to the other FLDS members who refused to surrender.

OOC: Springcorn and Hollywell are towns in the middle of Oslea in a rural area (I have no map, so descriptions will have to do) and they are relavtively small, with populations of 3,000 each.
And this is MT, in case you didn't figure out. And Oslea is a democracy.

A lone M1A1 Abrams tank rolled into the empty streets of Springcorn. Out of nowhere, an FLDS member holding an RPG pops out of a street window and fires at the M1A1.

The M1A1 explodes and covers the whole street in a fire. A soldier saw the explosion and the man with thr RPG.

"What the hell?! Super 3 come in! come in! Where the f*** did they get those military weapons?!"

"I think they were saving it for this very moment! All units, be advised that all FLDS members are armed and dangerous!"

A squad of 12 Oslean soldiers trekked through the streets when they saw a little girl holding a flag at an intersection. A soldier bent over and put his hand on her shoulder. He said, "Come with us, we're friendly! We have lost of candy and food you might like back at our place."

"Get away from my girl you freak!" A shotgun-toting woman came out from a corner and shot his head with it. The soldier fell to the round, lifeless.

"Holy mother of- OPEN FIRE!" A soldier took aim with his Objective Individual Combat System and shot her in the head. "One Tango down!"

We have reports that Oslea has suffered its first casualties on the war on Polygamy. 5 men have died, 4 in a M1A1 Abrams tank when it was destroyed, and one was killed by an FLDS member. Please stay tuned.

We are not sure how you are going to attempt to keep peace. Your troops will only be caught in the crossfire between us an the FLDS, and will probably will be killed by both sides of the conflict.

Instead, we recommend you send a diplomat to their leader to try and get them to change their religion to a more appropriate one, like Christianity, Islam, et cetera. We had no luck, we're hoping your diplomats will have better luck should you send them.

"Hello?" A sergeant answered his radio.

"This is General Wraithe of the Oslean army."

"G-general? S..Sir?" the soldier was surprised at why a person of such high rank needed to talk to him. I't must have been important.

"Yes, that's right. You have new orders. Gun down every FLDS member you see now unless they have a white flag clearly visible. Through the method of loudspeakers, we've advised the members of the FLDS who want to convert to head immediately to the southern part of Springcorn. That should take all the ones who want to leave to us, and leave the ones that deserve to die in the city, making it suitable for a bombing. We have given all FLDS members 2 hours to evacuate. After that, you will also evacuate the city, leaving the city empty except for those polygamists. When we recieve word that every soldier has evacuated, we can commence the bombing."

"Sir, yes sir!"

"Alright let's bomb these crapheads!" 10 F/A 35 Talons and 1 B-1b Lancer loaded with 4 IB-1 Napalm bombs left for the two towns of Springcorn and Hollywell.

The grace period was up and the Oslean Army had collected a few converts, about only 800-900 from the two twons, so it meant that there were many more FLDS members hiding out in the streets.

The army issued a retreat, ran out of the two cities along with the converts and went at least 10 kilometres away from them.

By then, the bomber and the escort F/A 35s reached the one of the two adjacent towns, and the B-1b hovered above Springcorn and dropped a napalm bomb in the center of the city.

The blast decimated the center of the city and the reulting fire reached the outskirts of the town, sucking oxygen and inserting poisonous fumes into the air, possibly killing all in the small town.

The small air squadron then went to Hollywell, and repeated what they did at Springcorn. 1 Napalm Bomb, and many deaths. Just to be sure that they got the maximum death toll out of the air strike, the F/A 35s dropped unguided dumb bombs (2 each plane) and bombarded Springcorn and Hollywell yet again. Firestorms engulfed the two towns, and you could see them from the Army's rally point 10 kilometers away.

The Army would just leave those firestorms burning, but that did not mean they wouldn't do a mop up operation of Operation Sledgehammer.

A battalion of 750 soldiers in each city, clad in Transylvanian armor painted urban camo (poisonous fumes don't get through the helmet, the air inside is recycled) walked through the cities to hunt down any remaining survivors. A polygamist boy climbed out of a building badly burnt and did not have a lot of life left in him. A soldier walking by took aim and ended his life switfly with a OICW bullet.

The end of Operation Sldegehammer was coming.
