Excitment was in the air of the new country of Cajuinistan. In the capital of Edseburg, population, 1.2 million people excitment and banners was seen on every street.

That is because an election was going to occur to decide which party was going to run this new country. So far there was six parties registered to run for the campaign.

Conservatives:

The conservatives believe that the government should not take their citizens so much and state that medical care as well as education should be the provinces responsibility and if they cannot do it then they should be privitized. They are also believing that the nation should have a very strong military as well as no unions.

They are led by; Anthony Dixon

Liberals:

The liberals are a party that is a center progressive party that wants to keep Cajuinistan on the same track. Same tax level as well as social reforms and strong unions. They also believe in same-sex unions and other socially progressive movements.

They are led by Mike Samuelson

Christian Right party:

Believes that this country was built for Christians and even though it is tolerant of minorities, they believe they should have private hospitals, schools and other things that are not funded by the government at all.

They are led by Sandra Mikenzie

Socialist Party:

Believes in strong left politics. Nationalized indestries with strong unions.

Led by Danny Emerson

Cajuinistan Marijuana and Addicts party:

This is a fun party that is made up of twenty-year-olds and a few people. They are only interested in having marijuana legal and remaining legal. Just like there counterparts in Istaria Nova

They are led by Andrea Sanderson and Paul Rogers

Majority Vote Party:

They believe that a majority of people believe in their policies.

"To be honest, I never did understand why anyone would favor such a ludicrous concept as 'multi-partyism.' I would recommend that Cajuinistan create a single national party, membership of which would be compulsory, to bring about national unity. Those who complain about wanting 'opposition parties,' should be dismissed as victims of a distasteful passing fetish, or better yet, thrown in jail."

In a rally in the capital the leader of the socialist party stated clearly;

"We believe that there should not be any distinction between classes and that this causes, social, ethnic and economic differences of the people and will be the source of conflict in the future. Unlike our Conservative rivals, we do not believe we should have our industries and important social programs privatized. "

In a recent poll held by 1,000 respondents the parties ranked like this

COnservative 31%
Socialist 25%
Liberal 20%
Marijuana and Addicts party: 17%
Majority Vote Party 6%
Christian Right Party 1%

However on their leaders it was a different story;

Election centers opened and people began to stream into voting centers all across the country. The six party leaders awaited the results in the countries first ever election.

Besides the Christian Right party that was expected to win no seats, all six parties were vying for a 55 seat parliment and the shot of president.

Early prediction polls had:

Conservatives: 24
Liberals: 15
Socialist:8
Marijuana and Addict Party: 5
Majority Vote: 2
Christian Right: 1
