In the depths of space, Fironen's fleet, the Newtype Corp, was floating near a binary star system within the Copen Galaxy. He had just been given orders by his superiors, yet he questioned them. Why should he do this? Is it moral? Is it sound?

But he knew that this mission would end the war a lot quicker than if they waited to attack them at Jurai.

His mission: capture Jacob Masaki at any cost.

"Sir," came a voice to Fironen's left. "We're ready to begin."

"Alright," replied to young Capitain. "Open a laser transmission to Jacob's communicator. Let's see if we can trap him."

The comms officer complied with the order, sending a direct message to Jacob's laser communicator.

"Jacob, this is Feronen's son, Fironen. We need to talk. Something's come up, and we think there's a spy in our midst, and we can't find him the way you Jedi can. Meet us at at these coordinates: *coordinates* We'll meet you there."

With the message sent, five SDFs were tesserected to the designated rendezvous, where a trap would be set to capture the Jedi alchemist.

Jacob sneezed. "Damn. Someone's talking about me."

A hundred thousand years later, the laser transmission reached Jacob's communicator and he answered it. He sighed. "I have a bad feeling about this."

"Really?" Taylor asked. "So what do you want to do about it?"

"Find out what he wants. Maybe it'll come to nothing. Still, I want you with me. The Twins are better together." Jacob smiled at their motto.

"Don't worry. I'm with ya, always." Taylor grinned. "Which ship do you want to take?"

"Oh, I was thinking the Judicial. It's a newer ship, more advanced weapons and shields." Jacob said.

"Not a bad choice, considering. Attach some escorts and stuff?"

"Always."

=====

Some hours later, recon elements of the Judicial task force began arriving, scoping out the opposition. Five ships. Each one the same class. It's likely the task force could deal with them, but no assumption survives battle. Then, tentatively, the CSD III Judicial, followed by three Strike Cruisers and two Nebulon-class heavy frigates, moved in.

"Fironen. This is Jacob Masaki. Where do you wish to speak, over?"

The return transmission was instantaneous. "Lets converse in a docking tube between our ships. It's neutral ground, and if you sense the spy, we can dispatch him quickly. Sound alright with you?"

The lead SDF moved towards the Judicial at a steady pace, flanked by its entourage. Little did the twins know that there was a massive boarding force ready to take the Coredian flagship at any cost.

Jacob frowned at the answer. A tingling occurred in his mind. "Something's not right. Two things: if they suspected a spy, why don't they contact the resident Jedi on one of their colony ships? Secondly: a docking tube isn't exactly the most neutral of places. It's too confining for a meeting as well."

"Hmm. " Taylor said. "Let's ask them for an alternate location."

"Yeah." Jacob spoke into the comms again. He added a little white lie. "Negative, the Destroyer's docking tube is not working at the moment. I suggest an alternate location, perhaps a habitable planet nearby?"

Staging Area
ISD Devastator

The Imperial Star Destroyer Devastator hovered in the cosmos, her sleek white hull and daggered form stood motionless and poised in traditional Imperial fashion. Pacing hard backed above the operations pit was Lord Darth Vader, heir to the empire and most favoured of the emperors agents. His tall imposing form stalked the finely polished floor; his cloak bellowing from behind.

"Lord Vader." A snide and hooked nosed officer bravely reported. "The first reports from the rendezvous have arrived. Communications interception indicates that a sizeable rebel force has arrived at the rendezvous position. We have authenticated that Jacob Masaki is present, though his vessel of choice is currently unknown." Vaders pale face looked down at the unusually short officer and simply nodded.

"Keep me apprised of the situation captain." The Sith Knight ordered forcefully. Walking, heavily and with trudge the heavy durasteel boots of Darth Vader echoed into the distance as he passed out of the bridge. His body, the force, and his soul had begun the rejection of his new form. His arms and legs were each falling away, dying from reason which medical science could not explain. Slowly, the Dark night would once more require the artificial sanctum of his respirator, body suit and mechanical limbs.

The force had now swung away from the Sith, its shadow was now turning to light.

Fironen scoffed at the response, but not over the comm. "Looks like they're not buying this."

"What should we do, sir?" asked the tactical officer.

"Pull the ships closer to their fleet," Fironen ordered. "Move into a standard tesserection formation with them, and when I say, tesserect the Judicial to a separate location while the other SDFs take the rest of the Coredian fleet into our own space to detain them."

Fironen then responded to the young Masaki. "We're going to move into a standard tesserection formation and take you to a binary star system nearby. It has a class-M planet orbiting around the stars." Fironen then sent the coordinates for the binary star system, which were genuine.

Soon, the Super Dimension Fortresses were moving into position amongst the Coredian fleet, each SDF moving its sphere of influence around a group of ships.

Fironen then stood from his chair and began leaving the control room. "When we arrive, wait for my mark to begin boarding."

"Aye, sir."

"Sirs, they're moving into some kind of formation around the fleet." The sensor operator said.

"They replied as well." The Comms said.

Fironen then responded to the young Masaki. "We're going to move into a standard tesserection formation and take you to a binary star system nearby. It has a class-M planet orbiting around the stars." Fironen then sent the coordinates for the binary star system, which were genuine.

"A tesseract formation?" Taylor asked.

"Tesseracts are basically teleportation for ships." Jacob mentioned. He looked at the coordinates and calculated how long a jump it would take. "Although we hardly need it, it would only take a few minutes to hyper into that system. Captain? Warm up the hyperdrive."

"Very well." The captain said and gave orders to the helms crew.

Jacob went back to the conversation. "Thank you for the assistance, but we don't need to tesseract, the system's close enough to this area. Meet us at the system."

With that, the ships made the jump to hyperspace. With a few minutes to spare, Jacob had a thought. "Do you have a spare red cloak?"

"Yeah. Why?" Taylor asked.

"We're twins, right? We'd best act like it." Jacob smirked.

"Devious. I like that!" Taylor laughed.

By the time the ships made it to the M-class planet, there was not a person on the ship that could tell the difference between the Masaki twins, except that one had amber eyes and one had blue eyes. Same ponytail hairstyle, same red cloak, same black clothing beneath said cloak.

"Damnit," said the tac officer. "They've jumped to the coordinates."

"What should we do?" asked the comms officer.

"Inform the Captain," he replied. "He'll know what to do."

"And what exactly do I need to know?" The captain had returned, this time in a suit of battle armour reminiscient of the original Gundam employed by the Copen Federation Forces three millenia before.

"Sir! The Coredian fleet jumped to the designated location, sir!" The tac officer was obviously unnerved by the unexpected return of his commanding officer.

"Comms, contact the rest of the Newtype Corp and provide them with the coordinates of the 'meeting'," ordered Fironen. "Tell them to have all fighters and mobile suits ready to engage the Coredian fighters. As for our own ships, have them prepare their fighters to launch as soon as I give the order to board the Judicial."

The comms officer acted swiftly, sending out the given orders quickly and efficiently. This took not but three minutes to complete, and the fleet was then ready to tesserect to their destination.

"Synchronising in three...two...one...commencing operation," the tac officer stated.

"Right," came Fironen. "All hands to combat status one. Inform the Corp to tesserect now."

And with that, both Fironen's small group and the Newtype Corp deployed to the system. As they began unfolding, fighters and mobile suits began deploying from the ships, each bound for the Coredian fleet. In the process, the larger capital ships began moving forward towards the Coredian fleet, obviously trying to box them in to keep them from activating their hyperdrives.

One minute, there was peace.

The next, fifty Macross SDFs and hundreds more smaller ships were right on top of the Judicial's motley task force. Fighters and mobile suits began pouring out of the Macrosses like flies, swarming for the Coredian ships.

"Sithspawn! It's a trap!" Taylor cursed.

"I knew it." Jacob groaned. Great. If I had to guess, I would say the Empire had a hand in this... "Launch all fighters! Screening formations! Weapons, fire at will!"

It started off with the beamlaser cannons. Each composite-beam laser sweeped across the sky in fifteen-second bursts, slicing into the massive fighter and suit ranks and the smaller ships as well. The Judicial had about twenty beamlasers, the Strike Cruisers had five each, making an additional fifteen. The Nebulon heavy frigates added waves of normal laserfire, acting as heavy point-defense platforms to support the fighters pouring out, which numbered about 132 manned and hundreds more drone fighters. The drones were little more than tiny but powerful AI fighters slapped with twin laser cannons and shields and told to go out and fight, trusting to maneuverability that would paste organics and swarm mentality to defeat the enemy. The fighters were clearly outnumbered, but the screening formation, which means that they stay close to the capital ships and attack incoming fighter units, was a tried-and-true tactic against superior enemies, numerical and otherwise. If the squadrons couldn't take them all, the capital ships will. Besides, the manned fighters (alphabet soup types) were themselves hyperdrive-capable, so even if the capitals died, scattering would ensure a quick escape.

The beam weaponry were followed by devastating sheets of green and blue turbolaser and ion cannon bolts that laid heavy suppressive fire upon the enemy capital ships as the Judicial and its escorts searched desperately for an escape route among the enemy. Finally the turbolaser cannons were followed up by swarms of devastating anticapital missiles, ranging from simple gigaton fusion warheads to devastating singularity torpedoes. Surely even if the ship goes down, many enemies will go down with it!

The fighters and mobile suits were too numerous for the minor amount of counter-fire from the Coredian ships, and they lost a minimal amount of their numbers on the initial firing.

But the beamlasers...

They cut through the ranks of the mobile suits harder than the fighters, slicing many in half and sending their cores into a catastrophic meltdown. Each individual mobile suit exploding was a sight to behold, with the Minovsky particle generators causing micro-nuclear explosions throught the mobile suits and fighters. Yet this did not stop them.

The fighters were the first to engage the Coredian fighters, their superior speed and maneuverability making them as difficult to fight as TIE Advance X-1s, if not worse. The odds against the Coredian fighters were hundreds, if not thousands, to one, and the Copen fighters would tear the Coredian manned fighters to pieces.

The mobile suits had more pressing matters.

The mobile suits left that had bits and/or funnels quickly deployed them, sending thousands of smaller, self-sustaining weapons platforms with a higher maneuverability than than the drones against the drones, leaving their charges to deal with them as they charged against the smaller capital ships, their massive mega particle cannons, beam rifles, and any other mega particle-based weaponry they employed ripping at them. Every shot came at them at a rate of one beam per ten miliseconds. At this rate of fire, it would tear the small capital ships to pieces in minutes, if not seconds.

The larger capital ships, namely the Macrosses and their smaller support ships, began forming a cubic screening formation, the flagship Orgus taking the center of the cube, and they began pressing forward towards the Judicial. The Macrosses activated their omni-barriers, keeping a short-lived, yet impregnable, defense against everything. Singularity torpedoes, nuclear torpedoes, anything mattered nothing in comparison to the strength of these mighty works of Super-demension technology.

It wouldn't be long until they had Jacob in their grasp.

OOC: The omni-barriers appear to be quite wanky if you consider them impregnable. I mean, singularities are black holes, and you know that an extreme gravity field like that can twist and bend space-time until physics itself starts to break down. Even if the omni-barrier is dimensional, gravity, especially gravity as strong as a singularity, should still affect it.

IC: One of the frigates blew up under the onslaught of the mobile suits and many fighters died as they were overwhelmed by the sheer number of enemies. The Judicial and the Strike Cruisers managed to hold on, but even so, one of the Strike Cruisers and the other was close to critical.

"We're losing our support!" A crewman yelled. "One of the frigates went critical and the Gato is severely damaged! They can't hold on forever like this!"

Jacob squeezed his hands on the railings of the command slot as the shields flared heavily, absorbing and redirecting as much energy as they could possibly handle. The Judicial would nevertheless take quite a while to bring down...

"Sir! What do we do?" A bridge officer asked Jacob, but he wasn't listening.

Taylor. I want you to reach out into the Force. Reach out for the enemy's reactors. Jacob telepathied.

What are you going to do? Taylor asked.

Battle meditation isn't one of my best abilities, but it is an ability I know. Jacob replied. It should help us, and we need all the help we can get.

Ah. Right. Taylor nodded and closed his eyes.

The brothers reached out into the vast depths of the Force, becoming one with everything around them. Taylor's mind reached out for the enemy's reactor systems and utilizing his very potent fire powers, the systems found themselves mysteriously going critical and...

BOOM!

Meanwhile, Jacob reached out as well, but unlike Taylor, he reached for the surviving fighters and the four capital ships and began pouring encouragement and determination into them. Soon, the fighters and drones regrouped and their accuracy just blossomed, increasing to the point where they were making shots into critical systems as if everyone suddenly became Force-sensitive. The same occurred to the crew of the capital ships. Their fear were washed away, replaced with the courage and determination to take down as many enemies as they could even unto death.

The capital-class beamlaser cannons continued to sweep across the sky, seeking to down even more mobile suits and enemy support ships if at all possible. Jacob's senses then noted a possible opening and redirected every single weapon on the Star Destroyer to said opening...

Meanwhile, comms officer frantically sent an SOS out to all Coredian assets nearby to try and bring some outside help...

The Copen forces were taken aback by the sudden ferocity of their opponents, but this did not shake their resolve by any means. They knew they had their opponent trapped like a frightened animal, and it would be long until they had their well-deserved prize.

The fighters and the bits and funnels continued to combat the enemy fighters, using massive swarm tactics to overtake the hopelessly outnumbered Coredian fighters. The mobile suits charged into the midst of the capital ships, attacking the ones supporting the Judicial with beam sabers, short-range beam cannons, and powerful mega particle cannons. Yet even through this assault, they suffered more casualties, moreso from the beamlasers than any other weapon employed by the Coredian ships.

Fironen watched through the view port as a sudden distortion plowed into a neighboring Macross, tearing a hole straight through from end to end. The hole created a mini-lightning storm for a moment before the entire Macross exploded with the force of a hundred nukes ripped it apart, catching some of the smaller support craft around it in the explosion, destroying them in the process.

"Sir!" yelled the tac officer.

"I know! I know! Order all support ships to begin berrating the Judicial with their mega particle cannons, and tell them not to let up!"

"Aye, sir!"

"Captain!" The comms officer whirled his head to face Fironen. "Multiple ships are reporting engine failure! It's like some invisible force tore them apart!"

"Tell them to use secondary thrusters to bunch together and keep out of the way! I'll deal with the problem myself." Fironen then closed his eyes, and a dark shroud enveloped him to the point where there was a pitch-black spot in the center of the bridge. Only two pure white eyes could be seen within the shroud, as the Keeper of the Dead released what he kept within his mind.

Within Taylor's mind

The form of a child raced through the thoughts of the young Jedi. The child, a young girl no older than ten, was crying, running from something in pure terror across a grass field. She ran as fast as she could towards Taylor screaming for help, but to no avail. A daemon of Chaos slammed down in front of her, grabbing the poor child in its tentacles, forcing itself into her body through every orifice. Blood poured out of the young child as her screams echoed through the field.

A new vision flashed to life, replacing the vision of the girl. A surge of Tyranids charged forth towards a Copen battle line, tearing everything apart in their wake. Hundreds of soldiers were eaten alive as they fought to protect a school full of refugees. Screams of all the refugees erupted into the air as acids, plagues, and every form of torture ripped them apart, leaving carcasses across the floor and around the school.

A new vision. A Dark Eldar harem. The screams of slaves ripped through the air as their bodies were tortured in every manner. Everywhere throughout the harem, dominatrix Dark Eldar had their way with men, women, children, anything that they could pour their dark and twisted pleasures into. Horrible visions of children ripped apart by the foul pedophilic men and women of this twisted race engulfed Taylor's thoughts.

Billions of thoughts flooded through Taylor's mind as events inconceivable to the minds of anyone but the most foul and twisted creatures in the universe came to pass.

And through every one of these visions, Taylor would feel the pain of their plights throughout his body, forcing him to relive their experiences first-hand.

This was the power that the Keeper of the Dead held.

"Aaaaah!" Taylor suddenly clutched his head and yelled in pain at the terrible images and pain bombarding his mind. He saw children ripped apart by Chaos, by Tyranid forces, he couldn't help but see every horror imaginable conducted by the worst of the universe. In moments, he would be driven insane and his mind would be destroyed. He puked, leaving a stain on the floor.

"Brother!" Jacob yelled. He almost lost the connection to the fleet as he felt Taylor's horrible mental pain through the Twin Link. "Gaah!"

It looked like it was over for the Masakis Twins...

But one thing an enemy learns is that Masakis always have a card to play when they're backed into a corner. And Feronin is about to learn that the hard way...

Taylor continued to be bombarded by the horrors of the universe, but in the midst of Tyranid horde tearing apart a village, he rasped one word. "Burn."

A fire started. A small one, but it startled the Tyranids in his mind. "Burn!"

The fire grew larger, consuming the 'nids and continued to grow. "Burn!"

An image of Japanese characters flooded his mind. It translated as: Fire Style: Firestorm Rebound!

Taylor, in the midst of horror, death and pain, smirked. He barely registered his hands flowing through a series of seals. And then they ended in the Tiger seal. And at the threshold of insanity, it struck...

Fire roared outward from Taylor in his mind, consuming everything in its path. What began as a blaze transformed into a conflageration that put nuclear explosions to shame, obliterating all the horror from his mind. And then the firestorm travelled back on the telepathic pathway that allowed the so-called Keeper of the Dead to hit Taylor. And when it hit Feronin, it manifested as an explosion powerful enough to pick up men and throw them across the room and give them second-degree burns or worse.

And then Taylor gasped, coming back to reality and staggered, panting from the mental excursion. The telepathic assault and counterattack had drained him completely and he would need time to recover, especially with the pounding migraine he incurred. A bridge officer had the presence of mind to help him. "Bridge to Medical bay! Prepare room for the Fire Knight! He's come under some kind of mental attack!"

"Hehe. It's up to Jacob, now." Taylor sighed as a mouse droid cleaned up his puke. It would take a while to purge the lingering images, but for now, insanity was not a path Taylor would go down.

Jacob gripped a console and redoubled his efforts to keep up the battle mediation. The pain of the horrors were not as bad as Taylor's but he wasn't about to give up. No way!

=====

"Sir, enemy ships are bunching together!" A sensor officer reported. "Gato is about to go critical!"

With Jacob using his technique, it was the Captain's turn to shine. "Very well! Recap, if you please, what is happening."

"Sir?"

"Do it."

"Uh, right. The enemy fighters and mobile suits are trying to box us in, and decimating the fighter ranks as a result. The capital ships...they're moving in a screening formation, folding from the front. They're surrounding us with the planet behind us."

"The planet is behind us?" The Captain said, an idea forming in his head.

"Yes, sir."

"It's risky, but...recall all the fighters. Yes, all of them. They're just getting killed out there! Now, we're going to make a run for the planet!" The Captain said.

"The planet?" Some crew looked at him like he was crazy.

"Yes, the planet. We'll get close to it and then use the gravity well to slingshot around the planet, then we make the jump for hyperspace. You got it?"

"Yes sir." The officers said and began to calculate when the slingshot would be most effective, then a barrage of fire from the Mega Particle cannons shook the ship.

"We're recieving heavier fire, support ships are firing particle cannons at us!"

"Intensify firepower! Aim turbolasers and beamlasers at the support ships! Leave the mobile suits to the escorts! Oh, yeah and fire a second missile volley, now!"

The shields flared heavily and the heat sinks worked to convert the energy from the particle cannon attacks into neutrinos. Nevertheless, small holes began to appear in the shields, and a few shots impacted the hull. It was only a matter of time and enemy output before a breach would be reported. But now, the Judicial began to show why Star Destroyers are considered to be capable of decimating large portions of a fleet, even alone. Its energy weapons doubled in output, sundering the support ships and even the Macrosses with more than enough firepower lay entire planets to waste. Beamlasers cut ships in half, turbolasers smashed through shields and hull alike, ion cannons caused massive EMP damage, and the missiles roared out once more in a second massive volley of everything from nukes to singularities. There was one more volley left for the singularity torpedoes, two for the normal missiles, and each one would have to count.

At the same time, its bulk began to bank for the planet and the engines lit up a little more, the support craft too intensifying their output of beamlasers and laser cannons to decimate the MS squadrons even more. They even tried to snag the enemy with tractor beams, pulling MS and fighters into each other...

Fironen roared as a fireblast engulfed his body and he was flung backwards. He slammed into the bulkhead, leaving a very large dent in it semi-shaped like his own body, and he slumped to the ground.

Several soldiers rushed to find something to put the fire out on their captain, but no sooner had they found something than the fire put itself out. What's more, but Fironen's scarred flesh was healing...and quickly. Huge chunks of near-incinerated flesh began rebuilding itself, and the flesh was forming back to near-perfection, with only the scars of the burns themselves left.

Once every part of Fironen's flesh had reformed, his head snapped straight up. He slammed both fists on the floor, forcing his body to stand straight up. It was obvious that Fironen was mad, but he merely smirked.

"Well played," he said to no one. "Very well played."

He stared at the bewildered tac officer. "Order the fleet to push forward, and order our crippled ships to tesserect in the Judicial's path. Don't let them escape."

Fironen then stared out towards the fleeing vessel. "Have the men join me as soon as possible," he said. "I'll be waiting for their assistance."

Fironen began walking towards the view port, his half-armoured body re-clothing itself and dropping the armour entirely. He wore black leather now, and in his right hand appeared his 13mm pistol, the Reichslayer. Just as Fironen reached the view port, his body began turning into a black vapour, which then disappeared.

The battle was going just as planned. The mobile suits began forcing themselves upon the Judicial's support ships, but not without taking numberous casualties. The fighters moved in behind the enemy fighters, their speed giving them an edge as the majority of them deployed low-velocity missiles towards their hangar to prevent them from docking. The bits and funnels now chased the Judicial, firing their guns continuously as they fought to keep it from fleeing.

However, that wouldn't be a problem for very long.

The crippled ships hiding behind the main fleet tesserected...right into the Judicial's path. Although they couldn't move, they still had working turrets, and they began firing at the Judicial full bore, their shots meaning to deter the massive ship from fleeing.

Amongst the main fleet was chaos as more Macrosses took direct hits from the singularity torpedoes. They exploded, taking out support ships between them, but that did not stop the fleet from chasing the Judicial and her party. The Macrosses joined the surviving support ships in their assault, berrating the Judicial and her charges with their rail cannons and beam cannon batteries.

But new events would soon come to pass...

Onboard the Judicial, in a barracks room near the tip of the ship, a black mist filled the room, and anything that was living that was touched by it would know fear, and smell the stench of fresh corpses.

And at its center, a body would begin to form...

"Sir! Enemy ships just spacefolded in front of us!" Sensor operator #1 yelled, but he became bewildered by the smile on the captain's face.

"Helm, full speed ahead! Double up the forward deflector shields! All weapons, fire forward!" The Captain ordered. The enemy believed they had blockaded the Star Destroyer and its escorts successfully by moving into the line of it's course.

Bad move.

You see, the Star Destroyer is a Cheese Wedge of Doom for a reason. The majority of it's weapons face forward and forward is where the heaviest broadsides will target. The heaviest cannons, each one capable of snapping a 300 meter ship in half, now have the crippled support ships as their targets.

http://www.starwars-tw.com/story/vehicles/imperial/star_destroyer.jpg

Now, the massive broadsides of the Star Destroyer and the smaller but no less potent batteries of the 3 escorts concentrated all their power, all their fury, all their might upon the crippled support ships in front of them and let loose with such a devastating blow that it was as if the Gods came down and smited the Copenhagen ships themselves. And doubling up the forward shields meant that the return fire of the support craft would be reduced in their potency, keeping the heat sinks working to dissipate the energies impacted upon the CSD. And still the Star Destroyer charged forth with its strategy to get close to the planet and slingshot its way to safety.

"Oh, Kami!" A soldier yelled. as a person with the powers of Shinigami (Death) appeared in an ominous fashion. The poor kid started blasting wildly at "Death" and yet pissed his pants at the same time in terror. "We've got an intruder!"

The call went up to the bridge, where grim and well-trained troopers were ordered to meet the enemy at the forward barracks and take him out by any means necessary...

The Judicial's main cannons tore through the support ships with much ease, causing catastrophic explosions with super-nuclear force. The blasted ships were not a heap of space junk floating in the path of the massive Star Destroyer.

But orders were orders. The Judicial wasn't getting away.

Five Macrosses broke from the main fleet, activating their tesserection drives and folded. They acted like the crippled ships had before them, but they had something the other ships didn't.

Pin-point barrier shields.

Upon defolding, the pin-point barrier systems on the five Macrosses activated, deflecting any shots aimed upon themselves as they laid down a counter barrage of rail cannons and beam cannons on the nose of Judicial and her charges. Their brethren behind the Judicial took the advantage of creating a cross-fire effect, and since the Judicial's shields were more focused forward, the effects of the rail cannons, beam cannons, and mega particle cannons would double in strength if any of them impacted on the Judicial's aft shields.

Fironen took any of the shots that impacted on his body head on, each shot healing and the leather that was blown open healing immediately after. After the third shot impacted, he had fully reformed and was advancing on the terrified soldier. As soon as he was within arm's reach, he grabbed the soldier by his throat and lifted him up with inhuman strength. He pulled the soldier close to him, and then spoke two words in an inhuman, yet commanding voice that even the strongest-willed commanders would yield to.

"Stand aside."

Enemies in front of the bow. Enemies pounding the rear. Although railslugs vaporize in the wash of the engines, the particles and beams proved to be tougher. It didn't look good for the Judicial. But the Captain was not about to give up.

"Concentrate bombardment on the one Macross in front of us! How many singularity missiles do we have?"

"We're down to our last volley, sir." The Tactical Officer replied.

The Captain grumbled. "All right. Split the final volley amongst the enemy Macrosses. Use the normal missiles to mask their assault!"

"Yes, sir!"

The final volley of 100 singularity missiles rained outward for the enemy. Five missiles streaked for each one of the five ships blockading the Star Destroyers. That makes 25 missiles so far. The other 75 used their obscene agility to curl back and aim for the 42 other ships running behind the Star Destroyer. Then they went into fire-and-forget mode, trusting their internal AI brains to track and destroy the targets.

And compounding the assault on the Macrosses up front is the sheer level of bombardment still pouring out from the Star Destroyer, especially on the lead two or three. The railcannons and beam weaponry have begun to destroy weapons emplacements, but that merely meant that power was rerouted to other weapons systems, trading numbers for firepower.

No matter what it took, the Star Destroyer will escape...

The soldier was too scared to do much more than nod vehemously, but a heavy hail of blasterfire rained upon Fironen. If one blaster couldn't defeat him, perhaps a dozen or more could! And let's not even talk about the explosives that will come...

The Macrosses in front of the Judicial frantically made course corrections to try and avoid the barrage of singularity missiles, but even though they did, two of the mighty ships were impacted several times by singularity missiles. One ship was completely engulfed, not even uttering a single explosion, while the second ship burst into a massive nuclear explosion nearly one hundred fold over a 500 gigaton nuke.

The last three Macrosses still in the Judicial's path made their way back around, one ship broadsiding in front of the Judicial with two of its rail cannons and half of its beam cannon batteries, while the other two formed a wedge formation and charged the Star Destroyer, perferating it with their own rail cannons; all four from each, to be exact.

The fourty two Macrosses chasing the Judicial scrambled in a hodgepodge, trying desparately to evade the same fate as their brethren did before them. This was not to be, with seven of the powerful warships going down in blazes of glory. No sooner had this happened when the ships began pushing their engines up to full power, giving an even more determined chase to the destroyer of their comrades, barraging the Star Destroyer with all of their combined rail cannons and beam cannons.

Fironen stumbled slightly from the amount of blaster fire impacting his body, but every time one shot hit, it was healed before the next shot even came within feet of the Keeper. Fironen placed the poor man he had scared into submission back on his feet and shoved him back behind a row of lockers, keeping him clear of the blaster shots. As soon as Fironen was sure that the soldier was out of the way, he drew his own pistol, whipped around, and popped off four thirteen milimeter, silver-jacketed, high explosive, high velocity, fire, ice, lightning, wind, and earth enchanted rounds with equivalent power to bolter rounds. These shots were not particularly aimed at individual soldiers, but in their immediate vicinity. Even if a round did not exactly impact a soldier, it would kill him by collateral fragmentation. After these four shots, Fironen began striding into the blaster fire, not even worrying about the incoming blaster fire.

No sooner had this happened when the ships began pushing their engines up to full power, giving an even more determined chase to the destroyer of their comrades, barraging the Star Destroyer with all of their combined rail cannons and beam cannons.
With three enemies ahead of the Judicial and 35 behind, there was only one choice left.

"Onward!" The Captain roared as the ship rumbled and bumbled under the onslaught. "Stop for nothing! If they want to stop us, they'll have to work for it! Weapons! How many missiles do we have remaining?"

"We have one final volley. Tachyon Torpedoes and the new Quantum Shattermissiles!" The weapons officer yelled back amidst sparking consoles.

"Indeed?" The Captain raised an eyebrow. "Well! I wonder why we didn't use them before. Fire at will!"

The final volley of missiles roared upon the enemy with devastating fury. The Tachyon Torpedoes sped towards the enemy forward and behind, each one detonating and emitting a stream of high-speed tachyonic particles that, while useless against matter, have a detrimential effect on shields. In other words, when the tachyons hit the shield of a ship, they 'redshift' as they are slowed down, becoming as powerful as medium turbolasers. It was like having a turbolaser capable of passing through shields.

Ah. Quantum Shattermissiles, swarming the enemies behind, were a sight to behold. They travel in glowing yellow streams and upon hitting a shield, they actually transform the energies of the shield into something like glass and break through the 'glass' like a baseball hitting a window. That leaves a hole in the shield where other shattermissiles could travel quickly behind the first one and impact on the hull, detonating and matter-disintegrating a 20-meter chunk of hull per missile.

And that's not counting the still-threatening turbolasers, beamlasers and ion cannons that are hitting the three Macrosses forward should they somehow survive the volley.

The Star Destroyer itself was close to the planet, less than half the distance from Earth to its moon to the planet's surface and getting closer. Soon, it would be close enough that it could initiate a pinpoint bombardment if said planet was an enemy.

"Sir! One of the Strike Cruisers are damaged beyond the point of no return!" A comms officer yelled. And the cruiser, on visual screens, looked like hell. It was definitely about to break up and detonate. Then it slacked off its firepower and shot forward, aiming for one of the Macrosses up front.

"The Force be with that ship and her crew..." The Captain whispered as the obvious ramming attempt went underway.

After these four shots, Fironen began striding into the blaster fire, not even worrying about the incoming blaster fire.
"He's not even dented---arrgh!" A soldier yelled out, electrocuted by a lightning bullet.

"Damn it! Fix grenades and call for backup!" A lieutenant yelled. "Keep firing!"

The blaster fire intensified as soldiers fell to the enemy's rounds and fell. Then the red spears of light were mixed with a series of violent explosives. Frag grenades, sonic grenades, even a plasma grenade or two was thrown in the mix. Finally, someone threw a thermal detonator, vaporizing everything in a five-meter range around it.

And if those didn't work, well, it was time to call in the Big Guns...the men and women whos mere presence raise the morale of the troops tenfold. The warriors of Light. The Champions of Innocence. The Guardians of Peace and Justice in the Galaxy.

The Jedi Knights.

Jacob Masaki's powers continued to reach out into the Force, his mediation powers still keeping the fleet in control. But then he felt a threat on the ship. A threat that could do what the enemy could not and defeat the valiant Star Destroyer.

He sensed that a confrontation would occur when the man -Fironen- reached the main hangar bay, and if that's where the Force told him the mystical battle would be, then that's where he'll go.

Jacob didn't need comlinks. Knight Wanda, please report to the bridge and initiate Battle Meditation. Padawan Robin will go with you. Knight Davin and Chuunin Hakusho, go and slow down the intruder any way possible. Chuunin Akira will report to the main hangar bay. Taylor, are you well?

Besides the Twins, there were two Shinobi (both Chuunin. Knight is equivalent rank) and three Jedi Knights (a Knight and a Master/Padawan pair) on board the ship to repel boarders. There was an alchemist on board as well, but her job was mainly damage control, and Jacob's far more powerful in that area anyway.

(So standard OOB for Special Forces on an average Star Destroyer are usually two Jedi, two Shinobi and an alchemist. On some ships, you may even face Dragons, but not today, lucky you. :P)

Soldier pills and stimpacks are your friends, brother. Taylor's voice chuckled. Soldier pills replenish health and energy, and the more advanced versions even allow a soldier to keep awake for three days (Taylor was treated with a basic version). Every soldier has a small pack of the stuff. Stimpacks release chemicals that stimulate the body's natural chemical producers to increase staying ability in battle. Of course a Jedi hardly needed such things, but Taylor was hammered by a violent mental attack and he needed everything he can get his hands on to stay in the fight.

I'll be sure to remember that. Get to the hangar...on second thought... Jacob extended the Twin Link with Taylor again, so that one will be able to know everything the other was doing. Yeah. Hangar. I'll be there in a moment.

All right.

With that, Jacob gave a request to the Captain. "Redirect all nonessential power to the shields, if you please. I'm going to be cutting off the Battle Meditation."

"All right." The Captain nodded. The reduction in Force valor will have the effect of returning the crew to normal and reducing their effectiveness until Knight Wanda -though less effective- regains the Force initiative. The Captain barked the necessary orders and the lights cut out, replaced with the glow of consoles and the eerie red emergency lights. Soldiers went to their helmet-sensors and Jedi and shinobi expanded their awareness in the dim light. The energy gained gave a 5% boost to the shields which slowly transferred towards the aft with each loss of Macrosses at the front. Not much, but every joule of energy counts in battle anyway.

With a resolve found only in a Master of the Force, Jacob Masaki, the Jedi Alchemist, headed out of the bridge and to a confrontation with the Keeper of the Dead...

And finally, a small probe droid entered the system and sent off a highly encrypted message to the Judicial, indicating that a Coredian fleet will arrive within five to ten minutes thenthe droid self-destructed. The Judicial only had to hold out until then...

"Lord Vader, we have reports from the Copens of the Judicial projected co-ordinates. We are ready for light speed my lord."

"You may commence with the operation commander." Vaders tone was gentle and relaxed. The frequent reports from the probe droids had clearly detailed the situation. Severe damage to forward sections, lax shield strength on the aft and reactor segments and finally she was surrounded by enemy forces. However the Star Destroyer was resisting more than anticipated.

Acting upon orders the Devastator slipped into hyperspace on her wayward journey. Sitting less than a light-year from the targeted system the Imperial Star Destroyer arrived upon the scene within mere seconds, her streamed body cleaving through wreckage and debris with ease. Appearing, without warning the ominous shadow of one of the empires most feared vessels blinked into existence, her intercepted projectory dragging her below the vulnerable belly of the Judicial.

"Reinforce upper shields and prepare for precision alpha strike." Captain Netter ordered. Overseeing the tactical interfaces the senior officer insured the designated co-ordinates were imputed.

'Lord Vader?"

"Fire at will captain." Netter waved his hand towards the operations pit releasing a volley of molten plasma and energy. The unfortunate shields of the Judicial were quickly sundered by countless gigatons of energy, each bolt firing upon the vulnerable reactor bulge of the rebel craft. In contrast however, the disciplined and trained crews of the Imperial Navy made sure to target the hanger bay with multiple ion canons, the searing blue bolts impacting remorselessly upon landed fighter and shuttle crafts, even assisting in the disabling of weapons in preparation for the inevitable boarding actions.

From the hanger bay of Lord Vaders personal Star Destroyer boarding craft and fighters swarmed towards the hull of the Judicial, on board the 501st peering to force their way into combat.

With the arrival of the Devastator, morale soared amongst the Copen fleet and they pushed themselves to capture the Judicial with renewed vigor.

But all weapons cause casualties, even amongst the courageous...

The two Macrosses flanking the Judicial peeled away from the incoming missiles, using their anti-ship beam CIWS to tear apart any missiles that came too close to them. Unfortunately, their brother ship that was broadsiding the Judicial was hammered into oblivion, its CIWS unable to cope with the amount of missiles streaking towards it. As it held position in its final death throes, it fired one last volley of beam cannons before exploding in a flurry of multiple explosions, ripping the warship in half. However, the wreckage left over was intact, and the hull of the ship floated still in the path of the Judicial. Seeing their brother die, they pushed their maneuvering thrusters to the max, spinning themselves, and as soon as they were paralell with the Judicial, the fired off multiple pile drivers, each one capable of grappling the ship and slowing it down.

The ships pursuing the Judicial began using their trademark maneuvers, called the Daedalus maneuver. Using their pin-point barrier shields, they overlapped them on each other, creating a shield stronger than any other produced by any nation. The tachyon missiles would hit the top shield, but the top shield would only hit the middle shield, thereby nullifying the effects of the tachyon missiles. However, the quantam scatter missiles took their toll on the ships, knocking three out as well as several support ships that were caught in either the explosions or the crossfire of the missiles. This did not daunt them, and as soon as the missile barrage ended, they began their own barrage of beam cannon and mega particle cannon fire specifically on the Judicial's engines.

Fironen took the brunt of a grenade blast to the mid-section, which blasted his body apart in a shower of blood. It looked like it was the end of him.

How very untrue...

No sooner had he been blasted apart, his body parts began piecing back together, those that had incinerated being regrown by the main body. As soon as Fironen was reconstructed, he looked the soldiers down with a look of steel, and he disappeared.

It was the shundo-jutsu!

In the miliseconds that took place between the time that Fironen launched from one end of the corridor to a point seven meters down, he had produced a shotel, sliced multiple times at each soldier he had passed, and had put the shotel away. Any normal human would not have been able to register this, and anyone who survived would be horrified to see their comrades fall to pieces as their bodies finally realized they had been sliced apart at the molecular level.

Fironen solemnly lowered his head, muttering a prayer for those who had fallen to his blade and pistol, and then proceeded down the hall towards where the main fighter bay was. He had about 300 meters to go.

The Judicial was near escape, blasting away at the dead hull of the Macross and utilizing tractor beams to get the pieces out of the way. With the Macross in front dead and two more on the flanks assaulted, the Judicial's shields were ordered to angle towards the rear to protect the engines against the enemy's firepower.

But great misfortune befell the Star Destroyer, great misfortune indeed. The Macrosses on the flanks fired off their ship-boarding grappling hooks, hacking into the hull and slowing the Star Destroyer down with their own mass. This enabled the other Macrosses pursuing the Star Destroyer to pound the rear, reducing thruster power and maneuverbility.

And that was not all...

A sensor operator worked franctically to collect the information that the Captain needed to fight effectively when he noted a sudden hyperspace reversion under the ship. The next second of scanning drained his face as if a vampire did it. "S-sir! Captain! Hyperspace reversion to the ventral arc! It's the Devastator!"

Jedi Knight Wanda's eyes snapped open as a great darkness was found in the Force. "Darth Vader is here..."

"Great. As if one guy with Sith powers isn't enough, it had to be the Emperor's Attack Dog as well..." Captain Ernst growled.

Suddenly, a massive bombardment struck the reactor, throwing everyone to the ground and forcing a shutdown of the hyperdrives and other major systems. Since the lights were already out, it didn't do much to them, but it did affect the shields and forced the weapons to fire independently, reducing their overall effectiveness. Then the emergency reactors came online, allowing just enough power for the bridge and engineering to operate.

"Shields down, weapons erratic, sensors unresponsive, the only thing still active are visual scanners!" People shouted, getting up with bruises.

"Just gets better and better." Captain Ernst got up from the floor, his arm hurting and at an odd angle. "Damn..."

"What do we do now, Master?" Robin asked, her young eyes fearful.

"Let not your fear get to you, Padawan." Wanda replied calmly before turning to the Captain. "Our fleet is coming within minutes, so we have a chance if we can somehow escape."

"Hold on, Jedi Wanda." The Captain pulled his personal datapad out with his good hand, grunting as a soldier splinted his arm. "Tactical Officer, please download all battle data from the Judicial's computers to my personal pad."

"All right." Warren replied, feeling that the Captain would try something crazy. The man started typing something into his console. "Downloading..."

"You'll need to take that data with you. Have it analyzed by Command." The Captain replied.

"You're not coming?" Robin asked.

The Captain shook his head. "We know now who the real targets are: the Jedi and Vader will destroy us all to get to you. It's our job, then, to keep you alive so that you can reach Coredian space."

"I...see." Robin said.

"Done!" The TO replied.

"All right. Here you go." The captain handed the datapad to the Jedi. "May the Force be with you."

"And you." Jedi Knight Wanda bowed before she and her Padawan headed out of the bridge.

A soldier somehow left alive stammered in horror at this inhuman person. It's not possible to survive grenades, even Jedi fall to them! And his comrades...the guys who ate, slept and joked with him. Dead, slaughtered in less time than it took to blink...

The soldier crawled into a corner and weeped at the horror, missing the Jedi and the Chuunin advancing on Fironen, lightsabers ablaze.

There was no battlecry. There was no order to halt. When the two members of the Coredian Special Forces attacked, it was with a fury of lightsaber and powers as such that only a hurricane could match the sheer level of assault thrown on Fironen. Only the Demonhunters, the Sannin, and the Masaki Clan are greater than the Jedi Knights and Shinobi in battle.

Even if they failed, they probably slowed Fironen significantly, enough so that the Masaki Twins could either battle Fironen or somehow find a way to escape the ship altogether.

Near the main hangar bay

"You sense that?" Taylor asked as the Devastator arrived and bombarded the Judicial, shaking the whole ship.

"Yep. Vader has arrived." Jacob replied.

"They're throwing a hell of a lot of ion energy into the hangar bay." Taylor commented, feeling his hair rise from the electrical energy.

"Yeah. Looks like we'll have to fight our way out after all." Jacob said. "Geez. How troublesome."

"You've been hanging around Shikamaru too long, you even picked up his favorite words." Taylor chuckled.

"Hey, I like playing Go with him..." Jacob smiled.

They neared the hangar, but until the ion storm subsided, they wouldn't enter. Being fried by gigawatts of ion energy is not a good thing. But when they do enter with their Marines and the two Jedi arriving from the bridge, the 501st is going to die.

Horribly.

The fleet was quick to surround the Judicial, creating a spherical blockade around it and keeping their weapons trained on it. Since the turbolasers were firing indepently, the Macrosses had nothing to worry about, and any shots directed at them were refracted by the pin-point barrier shields.

The Orgus slowly made its way towards the port-side turbolaser batteries, firing off multiple boarding tubes that slammed into the hull of the Judicial. As soon as they were secure and pressurized, troops began flowing in by the hundreds, engaging any security personnel and marines stationed in that portion of the ship. In the meantime, the boarding tube furthest away from the turbolaser batteries began a defensive offense operation, protecting several crates on hover-carts. These hover-carts were going to be placed in the engine room as soon as they arrived at that location.

Fironen hissed in surprise as a lightsaber came out of nowhere, and with inhuman reflexes, he flipped backwards into a handstand as the second lightsaber went for his knees. He kept this up until he finally managed to get into a standing position and whipped out a single shotel while putting his gun back into his jacket. As the two Jedi came at him, the hand formerly with the gun pulled out a second shotel to replace it, and Fironen went back onto the defensive, blocking the lightsabers with his shotels. Although they were metal, they still managed to parry the lightsabers without injury thanks to the polarizing magnets that allowed the weapons to engage against such weapons as lightsabers.

He parried multiple times, keeping up with the Jedi blow-by-blow, slash-by-slash, backing up ever so slowly to keep his footing. Finally, he found a weak-spot in the offense that these two warriors presented, and rotated the left-hand shotel so that the blade faced towards Fironen. As soon as the lightsabers of the two Jedi came close to each other, Fironen pulled his two shotels together, hooking both lightsabers, and then twisted, preventing the blades from moving.

"I'm not one for witty banter," he said. "But you two need some serious work on your fighting styles. Honestly, you two don't even make me sweat." Fironen kept his shotels in position, holding on to his opponents' means of attack.

Meanwhile, troops on the port side of the Star Destroyer were alerted to incoming enemies and began counterattacking, setting up ambush points and letting loose with heavy repeating-blaster bolts from E-11 machine blasters, as well as grenades and mines, utilizing everything from sonic to plasma.

Knight Wanda and her apprentice arrived to support the Masaki Twins, as the two used the Force to scan into the hangar bay from a blast door inside the ship.

"Enemy troopers are pouring out of the metalwork. I sense they have some kind of pulse weapons." Jacob said, his eyes closed in a Force Scan.

"Ahh, the bane of Jedi. At least normal ones." Taylor smirked. "What say we initiate Anti-Cannon Fodder tactic #3?"

"You mean the part where we pop in from nowhere, slice up the enemy and pop back out several times before they could react and then transmute the floor into non-magnetic frictionless metal to eliminate their movements, then blow up everything in sight by throwing plasma grenades and thermal detonators?" Jacob asked. Jacob carried two of each, Taylor four.

"That's #5, but works as well." Taylor grinned. "Well, we have a plan."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Robin asked, psyched up.

"Let's conduct the plan, then." Wanda nodded.

The four Jedi Knights reached out into the Force. They became the walls of the Star Destroyer, they became the two other Jedi and Fironen on the other side of the hangar bay. They especially felt the presence of every stormtrooper and dying marine in the hangar bay. Then, with the Force Scan in place as invisible targeting reticles, the four Jedi teleported into the hangar...

The techs worked hard to do their mission, but suddenly their mission was set back as bars of light, one red (Taylor), one blue (Jacob), sliced into them like hot knives through butter. The blue and red swords whirled through the enemy, cutting down trooper after trooper after tech. Then two more lightsabers appeared in the midsts of the Space Troopers, one green (Wanda), one yellow (Robin). They too began making short work of the troopers. In just a few seconds, the four Jedi teleported back out to avoid enemy retaliation, leaving limbs, heads and corpses in their wake...

Preceeding them into the room are nearly fifty soldiers outfitted with slug-shotguns, who immediately open fire on any personnel, non-combat or otherwise, in the room.

OOC: You do realize that I've been throwing plasma, concussion and sonic grenades and thermal detonators at the hovercars. All have a several-meter kill radius so I expect them to be damaged. Not to mention the evil mines I've been using. As such, I insist you call damage on the carts and number of enemy troops killed.

IC:
When the enemy reached Engine Room #1 (there are three for each main engine; 1 for the hyperdrive room), the first thing that stopped them going into the room was the massive blast door, magnetically sealed and locked against any intruder. The second thing was a series of crab droids that skittered up to the enemy and blew themselves up and the third thing was troopers with E-Web heavy blasters blazing away at a thousand rounds per minute and more grenades propelled into the enemy ranks to stop them with explosive destruction. The same would occur for each engine room they find and seek to enter.

((I apologize for being gone so long. I've been having some serious financial trouble, and it's been preventing me from even touching a computer, even for work.))

As the lightsabers came slashing downwards, Fironen revealed yet another weapon he had in store for these two foolish jedi. Lifting up his free arm, he concentrated all of his psychic energy into one specific point on his arm, an a blade of pure psychic energy erupted from just above his arm. The jedis' blades slammed hard into it, and the sound of energy clashing against energy sounded.

On his left arm, a small mechanism held the psychic energy in a coherent form, preventing it from dissipating into the atmosphere of the ship. Using this chance he had, Fironen swung his bastard sword in an upwards right-to-left arc, hoping to cleave at least one of the jedi in two.

_______________________________________________

Meanwhile, the troops in the port-aft section of the ship were taking major casualties, and a series of unfortunate events began to occur. A single plasma grenade impacted a single hovercart, and upon the impact, the cart exploded with the ferocity of one ton worth of melta bombs. The explosion would rip the entire port-aft corner of this triangle of doom right off, as well as completely incinerate one quarter of the engine attached to the engine room nearby, which would also be incinerated by the sheer force of the explosion. The explosion would be felt across the entire ship, and probably startle everyone onboard.

((You wanted damage? There you go. That's what happens when you ignite a hovercart's worth of micro-nova bombs, and don't say I didn't warn you about them, dude.))

The Jedi Knight ducked aside, but the sword left a bleeding scar that would become a part of him forever. If he lived that long. Knowing that the sword would take a bit to reverse its momentum, the Jedi immediately jammed his lightsaber into the opening left by said sword, hoping to cleave off an arm or even hit the chest...

Meanwhile, the Shinobi struggled to fight off the psychic blade...

OOC: That's better! :D

IC:
A good portion of the port engine was obliterated, consuming enemy and ally alike in that corner of the Star Destroyer. It was a good thing that the ship's reactor was already shut down thanks to the Devastator or else the entire ship would probably go up as well. Not a good thing for the Masaki Twins. The port angle of the 'triangle' broke off, causing massive explosive decompression along the length of the ship, sucking crew and droids into the short-lived fire and out to space before the bulkheads automatically closed to prevent more air from escaping.

"That's not a good thing." Taylor said as the explosion wracked the ship, forcing everyone to brace.

"That's an understatment. Can you do another 'port assault?" Jacob asked.

Taylor rubbed his head. "I don't know. That last one took more than usual out of me."

"Same here." Jacob said. "What about you two?"

The other two Jedi were more visibly drained. Master Wanda sighed. "It is likely the presence of Vader that is doing this. As the light seeks to blind the darkness, so the darkness seeks to eclipse the light."

"I see..." Jacob began thinking of another plan.

Fironen saw the blade coming for him just in time, and as his bastard sword continued upward, he released the blade and moved with the light saber coming at him, bending backwards. His mind went into a sort of slow motion, the amount of adrenaline racing through his body at such a level that his senses and reflexes had heightened nearly ten fold. As the blade from the knight came at him, his other arm was still engaged in combat with the shinobi, blocking and parrying as he planted his now free hand on the floor and threw a powerful disarming kick into the elbow cap of the knight.

During these few moments in time, the bastard sword and penetrated the ceiling, lodging itself within the metal until its master came to retrieve it. Also, a new weapon had slid down the sleeve of Fironen's jacket and he had grabbed it in mid air just as he had planted his feet back on the deck. While still in combat with the shinobi, he squeezed the new object to life, revealing his new weapon to be a Covenant plasma sword.

Fironen parried the lightsaber with the plasma sword, and then threw a wide-arced slice with the psionic sword attached to his arm.

Since the WASPs had velocity settings for their rockets, they moved them to low velocity to allow the projectiles to penetrate the shields of the peskiest of the bunch: the droidekas.

Commander Appo moved out of the shuttle with his reinforcement squad of Stormtroopers, from the decimated previous squads a few muffled screams echoed over the ominous presence of a respirator mask. "Lord Vader, the area is secure." Commander Appo reported diligently. "We have set up the sensors you requested and have located the space troopers, they're moving through the aft hyper lifts." Vader raised his head slightly and looked up.

"Hold this position commander and wait for my return." The Dark Lord moved off into the ships contorted superstructure, cleaving his way through the disabled bulkhead door with his crimson lightsabre. Lights flickered on and off as main power struggled to find her way from capacitors dotted around the mighty star destroyer. A few rebel troops encountered the dark lord, turned to face him and then fled. The Emperors hand was quite rightly feared across the Galaxy, his reputation earned by the death of thousands of Jedi; millions of souls and of a republic which had stood for millennia. Vader paused at a corridor intersection, receding into the shadows.

"Well." Taylor said. His voice seemed a little worn. "We're going to have to something about this mess." His brother said something muffled, just slightly too quiet for Vaders enhanced ears. Footsteps grew louder as did the rumbles of multiple explosions. They walked past his shadowed temple, and then in an instant his respirator bellowed, his sabre ignited and sparks flew as Vaders blade narrowly missed the supple flesh of a Masaki.

"Gaack!" Suddenly, the shinobi felt a blinding pain as the psionic sword tore into flesh. Blood spurted from the chest wound and the shinobi dropped, his life ebbing away very quickly.

Now it was the Jedi that was left. The Jedi Knight moved into an aggressive forward stance and attacked fiercely, willing himself to cut down the man who had killed his friend...

Droidekias fell with every RPGs that penetrated their shields, but more seemed to take their place as spears of blue-hot energy stabbed into the Copen forces. The troopers added in red spears of blaster energy as well as, due to the explosions that occured before, shot deadly sonic detonators at the Copen forces, each one carrying enough ultrasonic damage to shatter bone and rupture the insides, and ion grenades to disrupt the hovercraft without blowing up the dangerous cargo.

"Dammit!" Taylor yelled as the deep red blade of the Sith narrowly missed his flesh. The next blow was parried as Taylor and Jacob backed up, lightsabers weaving shields of light against Darth Vader. It was all the Twins could do to defend themselves from the onslaught, their original technique born of a mix of Soresu, Makashi and Djem So working together to give the other two Jedi time to find another path to escape from...

Using sheer force to parry the gallantry and speed of the twins, Vaders steps pushed them backwards, ever forcing them to lose their footing. Or, meet your destiny."
"Now how many times have I heard that?" Taylor replied curtly.

"Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!" Jacob answered with a smile, then Vader attacked them both.

The Twins struggled backwards, unable to fully inflict their double-trouble assault in the narrow corridors of the Star Destroyer. The telekinetic assault only made it harder as Dun Moch made its way into the battle. But the debris were turned aside or burnt to cinders by the Twins, using their Force Bond to draw strength through the Force. Even so, the Dark Lord was simply overpowering!

We need space! Taylor yelled to Jacob through their bond.

I know! Jacob frantically held off an assault. Then he had an idea. The hypermatter reactor!

What?! What do you mean...oh... Taylor realized what Jacob was planning. Right!

The Twins slowly allowed themselves to be forced back, luring Darth Vader towards a position from where they would have a better advantage. Later, they would realise that that plan was a part of the basis of Sokan, of seeking an advantage in the environment.

Vader moved forwards intently. The dark wheezing of his artifical lungs contrasted the elegant zooms of the lightsabres. Light clashed with dark, blue against red, Jedi against the fallen. Vaders style was one of his own choosing, a master of the blade and once the mighty Anakin skywalker, the twins had yet to experience one such as himself. A master of both the light and the dark, knowledge in the intricacies of master Yodas twirls and the sheer power of master Windus strength, Darth Vader interchanged between them all naturally.

Here and now was all that was left of the Jedi Anakin Skywalker. Dead to the light, and trapped by the shadow; only the fires of rage could soothe his nightmares. The Jedi caused this. They are the ones responsible for the Empire, the war, the destruction of so many souls. Their arrogance, their refusal to change, listen or accept the values of passion and love.

They caused the death of Padme'.

Vaders rage increased tenfold. His strength bellowed in the air while his artificial vocal cords drummed in anger. Moments flashed away, time seemed to stop and every parry, thrust, block, was effortlessly cast aside as Darth Vader pushed forward.

"Together, we shall achieve a power beyond reckoning." The words of his master Darth Sidious flickered into mind. "Yes." Vader rejoiced. "This is the power I choose!.

The corridor ended revealing a grand chasm which fell downwards towards the depths. One solitary bridge lay over the great expanse, with more above and below. The ending doors had all been sealed, the emergency bulkheads closing thanks to multiple hull breeches. Vader paused as the twins studied their ground for a final assault.

"Lord Vader." Commander Appo said coldly through the communications channels. "We have received communications from the Subjugator, Captain Netter would like to inform you of a considerable rebel presence which has just entered the system. He estimates fifteen minutes before we will have to depart."

Vader considered his options. "Inform captain Netter to have the reinforcements dispatched to my position immediately. They are to stun the Jedi not kill them."

"At once Lord Vader."

"And Commander, see to it that my shuttle is ready for departure." The channel closed and Darth Vader remained at a distance, studying his prey.

"I have no time for this!"

As a low sweep was parried, Fironen shundoed to the left, his feet planted firmly on the wall, and then shundo-ed yet once more, his arm out-stretched to catch the knight's head in his hand and slam it up against the other wall. If this attack worked, the first impact of Fironen's hand against the Jedi's face would stun him, and the second impact of head against bulkhead would cause the Jedi's skull to liquify.

As the Copen marines moved ever closer to the spine of the ship, a single squad encountered the battle between the Twins and Darth Vader, seeing the pinned-down forces behind them trying to advance to another position.

"Jedi! Fall back to us!" A soldier with the insignia of a sergeant beckoned to them to follow his men back. "Marines! Covering fire!"

As if to answer him, the marines began barraging Vader with high velocity, high explosive, armour piercing seven point six two milimeter rounds, the nine soldiers keeping their guns at full auto and trained on Vader from a quarter of the way down the corridor (about ten meters). The sergeant, however, slung a rail driver from off his back, and then fired round after round of twenty milimeter slugs at Vader.

Standing still Vader watched the twins escape to the other side of the bridge protected by allied troops. Attacked and fired upon his crimson blade waved and distorted, the metal slugs dissolved in seconds against the blade of fire. He stood there, watching the other side as one of the men grasped a heavier weapon.

"Leave the Jedi for me." Vader ordered the rising Space Troopers as they ascended from the depths. Booster packs blazed and silver armour shined against the flickering emergency lights of the Judicial. Light and dark, both interchanged with increasing frequency, then they fired.

Three heavy proton missiles emerged from the launchers of the marines, enemy fire simply glancing off their reinforced Neutronium armour. And then, as Lord Vader raised his hands for protection, a new great explosion tore through the Judicial.

The explosive force of the proton rockets obliterated the frontline troops, and those that survived incineration were flung backwards. One trooper slammed into a control panel on the far side of the bridge just as the Twins got across, effectively breaking it, which caused the bridge to slide apart and the door on the far side of the chasm to seal shut. The bodies that were left on the bridge that hadn't fallen into the chasm now did as the bridge slid into its storage area, disappearing into the black void below.

A new squad, which had its own uniform colour of black and red, now encountered the Twins and their associates.

"Are you the Masaki twins?" The leader approached them, his rank insignia belonging to that of a Master Sergeant, First Class.

With the Jedi dead, Fironen blessed their souls, bringing them into himself to exist in a world where pain and suffering would no longer torment them. He did the same with the fallen soldiers around, and then approached the soldier cowering against the far wall. He picked him up and set him on his feet.

"Go to the barracks room where I appeared first," said the Keeper. "You will be safe there."

With that, he turned and shundoed down the corridor, but when he approached the door to the hangar, he found it locked shut. Not wasting time, he focused on the nearest power signature, and when he found it, he turned into his mist form, which traveled throughout the ship to reach the power source.

When Fironen had finally formed, he was within a corridor that had seen a lot of fighting.

And before him were three Space Marines and a black figure, who could only be one person.

Darth Vader.

"Hail, Lord Vader," said Fironen. "I take it you found the Twins?"
