Beiraqi scientist have today set up a fully operational nuclear facility outside of Lebadad, our glorious capital city. President Chalabi has said he hopes that this will lead to even more advancements in the nuclear field further down the road. This is a great day for Beiraq, as we can now be up to par with some of the more Western nations. All hail President Chalabi! This is Ibrahim Al-Beiraq, signing out.

Belgrade has greeted the latest Beiraqi nuclear achievement with enthusiasm, media sources speaking of the promise of future co-operation.
The Socialist Federal Republic has sustained an on-again off-again nuclear programme for almost two generations, and now sees Beiraq as a potential nuclear science partner since the USSR's collapse denied Yugoslavia its traditional ally in this field. Yugoslavia mines small quanities of uranium in its north, and hopes to see co-operation with Beiraq expand following Lebadad's recent declaration of nuclear capability.
Marshal Lav says that the announcement is symbolic of another step on the road to Beiraqi self-reliance and independence from those powers upon which it has previously relied for protection.
