Invasion of Galmiria (ATTN Maldorians, Galmiria, and everyone else)

OOC: This thread is now closed.

The Wanderjarian Fleet arrived, and began unloading equipment into Galmiria. Thousands of infantry men began setting up positions throughout the area, readying themselves for the enemy, if they ever got through the massive fleet that was shielding the country.

The Wanderjarian Navy was part of this Shield, and searched, ever vigilant, for sight of the enemy...

OOC: Wanderjar, I need that map of Maldorians. Thanks!

Airforce fighters launched from Icovirian aircraft carriers in direction of Maldorians. They were on a mission to bomb any hard-to-take areas to help the militaries of Wanderjar, Morgiland, and of course, Icovir's. They were also on a mission to deliver the Icovirian Special Forces, on a suicide mission to get behind enemy lines and report enemy positions, report the best places for an air raid, and kill some troops.

The naval ships were armed to the teeth, making sure that their loads of men got to Maldorians safely. After that, they were to guard the waters around Maldorians, a suicide mission perhaps, but they were armed with the right equipement.

More ships were sent out from Icovir. 3 more ships sent out carrying the same personel and weapons the last 5 carried. They were due to reach shore in 10 hours.

The first 5 ships reached Maldorians safely, with no sign from the enemy. The many Icovirian troops, now along the southern Maldorians border, were setting up "camp". They were getting ready, loading their weapons, setting up artillery guns, and posting tanks to both guard and attack (although attacks had not started yet).

Riflemen had built trenches, snipers had started finding hiding spots to snipe from, grenadiers found high places to shoot their grenades from, and assault riflemen were closest to the suspected territory of the enemy.

Meanwhile, back in the homeland, Icovir started funds to finding and storing more depleted uranium than ever in their short history. (OOC: We want to make sure that shit like this doesn't happen again, and that we're a force to be reckoned with!)

Today was going to be a glorious victory for the Imperial Federation.

OOC: Lol, 2 hours can change a world :D

Quote of the day:

I DIDNT send guys yet. GOD

Now, since this isn't the OOC thread...

IC: Icovirian troops managed to get past the first day without any opposition. Though they were prepared, there was no sign of the enemy. All they could do now is wait, patrol, and wait some more.

Meanwhile, thinking ahead, General Al-Bakr, General of the Air Force (position used in wartime only) was thinking ahead. He sent a fighter jet to the Maldorian capitol, and ordered the pilot to eject miles away from the capitol, to test whether or not Maldorians had anti-aircraft guns. The plane, of course, did NOT reach the capitol before getting shot down.

All planes were then sent back to the aircraft carriers, so as to avoid unnecessary casualties.

OOC: Repost from last thread

IC:

This was different. This was UCN. This was personal.

-----

"Chellis will not stand for this invasion of Galmiria. Maldorians, stand down your forces immediatly, or face a wrath like none has ever visited your nation before."

-Statement from Chellian Foreign Ministry

-----

Chellis was done with the piecemeal involvement it had been in since it had come out of isolationism. It was now in defense of a UCN ally, and chellis was going to show the world that it would not let the alliance down.

Chellis wasn't going to screw around this time. It had loaded up three million soldiers in transports within 12 hours, all equipment and supplies included. It was a two and a half day journey to Galmiria, including unloading soldiers. The transport fleet was protected by 12 CHN taskfleets, each including a tank carrier and a jeep carrier(large aircraft carrier and escort carrier). A few other taskfleets would be going up and down the trail to galmiria, scouting out enemy ships and the like.

Chellis was ready to pour all 40 million of its professional military into this, if nessecary.

Captain Julius stood on the deck of the Hood Class Battleship. The Aesonic Defence Fleet had mobilized to defend Galmiria. Air combat was all very well, but Captain Julius was a seaman first and foremost, and he knew that if the Griffencrest dogs, and the Maldorian would-be competents could be stopped from achieving naval control, what little of their invasion could touch Galmirian soil would quickly wither and die.

There had been no major mobilization of either enemy's navy yet, but that couldn't last. For now, Julius strode the deck of the mammoth ship, inspecting the crewmen as they went about their various duties.
***
Meanwhile, Centurion McDouglas stood, watching the Behemoths rumble onto the Galmiran shore. This would truly be a grand battle, and a chance to earn his place in Valhalla, although he was sure far more of the invaders would be sent there than his men. He absently glanced about for a Galmiran commander to ask where his tanks would be best placed.

The ships had been prepared to set sail for days now, but Icovir was still planning a plan on how to assault Maldorians with the least amount of casualties.

Meanwhile, the test preformed by General Al-Bakr was a success. The man piloting the plane had ejected just in time and landed in a farmland. Last the general heard of him, he was beginning his operations and working with a Maldorian citizen (a traitor) to find weak points of the country.

General Al-Bakr found this mission to be so much of a success, he asked the Emperor's permission to do the same, except this time eject Imperial Special Forces into the region. They would then plot weak points in enemy lines and mark targets for the Imperial Air Force.

The Emperor agreed, and the ISF troops and Apache 52 (CODENAME: Deliverer) was prepared. The troops knew this was a suicide mission, but were determined to make the most of it before Maldorian troops caught them.

They were armed with a radio to report back to General Al-Bakr of air force target oppurtunities, who would then report to the other generals weak points in troop positions (which the ISF troops would also report).

They were readied to go on this mission, and the Apache Deliverer took off, headed toward the direction of the Maldorian capitol. The generals could only pray that this plan would work, for it would give all nations fighting against Maldorians a great advantage in the war.

Meanwhile, General Al-Bakr sent a message to The PeoplesFreedom, Wanderjar, Morgiland, and Galmiria. This message was sent through Morse Code.

TO: Wanderjar
CC: Morgiland, Galmiria, the PeoplesFreedom
Do NOT, we repeat, do NOT strike Maldorians with an air strike as of now. We have sent ISF troops to plot possible air strike targets and troop positions, so as to weaken the Maldorians during our first strike.

Do NOT strike Maldorians with an airstrike, we repeat. We launched a test airforce fighter to the capitol of Maldorians, and it was destroyed by anti-aircraft guns. Therefore, sending aircraft to Maldorians to attack major cities will be useless and will cost needless lives.

Icovir today has increased her number of troops to go to Maldorians. Icovir feels that her current number of troops (foot soldiers) deployed to go there (1,500,000) is WAY to little, and is only a very small percentage of the Icovirian army.

Therefore, Icovir announces that her a very large amount of her military is going to be involved in this war.

Meanwhile, 8,900,000 troops (active duty, reserve, and national guard) will be defending the homeland.

Number of weapons has been deemed classified. Icovir finds it dangerous to tell globally how many weapons we have.

But, number of troops will be announced.

Number of Air Force troops activated for this war:
8,400,000 troops.

Number of Naval troops (including submarines) activated for this war:
8,420,000 troops.

Number of Army troops activated for this war:
8,580,000 troops.

Total number of troops activated in this war:
33,700,000 troops

OOC: This should all be in the OOC thread. However, know that 5% is normally the maximum standing military for uber militaristic jerks like me, and, in time of all out war, the numbers can get basically as high as you want, but know that anything over like 5 to 7% is going to start having serious bad things for your economy. More Wanderjarian Forces, 1,000,000 men, were being sent to attack Maldorians. These troops would arrive on a massive Armada of over three hundred ships. As Maldorians had yet to attack Galmiria, Baker and his top Commanders within the TACOPS center, decided to take the initiative to counter this with an attack into Maldorians itself.

These forces, directly under command of Grand Admiral Reinhardt, set out on their mission to take Maldorians, and bring it into the Commonwealth.

Icovir wants to take the fight to Beiraq, so therefore, Icovir's involvement with this war is currently over (OOC: for now...).

Evacuation is set to happen in 1 hour, Apache "Deliverers" have been sent to Maldorians to pick up all the ISF troops.

Although, Icovir will warn, that if there is any attack on the retreating ISF troops, Icovir will engage in war against Maldorians again after the War for the Persian Gulf is over.

The Black Hawk Main Battle Tanks rolled into life around the Galmirian capital. They had been instructed to remove the Maldorian paratroopers who had landed close to the city the night before. Intelligence had pinpointed the largest concentration of Maldorian Airmen.

A Korp sized force of the Green Army had moved out in support of the armored Brigade. The soldiers were on high alert as they moved through the urban sprawl of Galmiria when shots were fired.

The 2 .45 Calliber machine guns on the tanks opened up and the 120mm big guns fired a few blasts into the shrubs and fences where the Maldorians had holed up.

The battle had begun.

Once the 5 humvees and 5 command jeeps landed, they wreaked havoc upon the unarmored soldiers. The humvees tore through many Galmirians and were invernerable to small arms fire.

OOC: What do you mean, invulnerable to small arms fire? Standard humvee's can be penetrated by AK-47 bullets, they are very thinly armoured. Even one with upped armour wouldn't be able to take .50 cal bullets, or powerful sniper rifles(.338's, .50's, 7mm mag's, etc). Its also vulnerable to grenades, AT weapons(Which, in most militaries, one member of a squad usually has at least one disposable one), mines, etc. The wheels can be shot out, and top gunners as well can be shot. Machineguns can do enough kinetic damage to weak spots like windows, etc, to shatter them, when enough bullets hit them.

I'll have to do it myself than

A small invasion force was prepared to attack Galmiria and remove stress from Maldorian forces. Ten Rajput destroyers were tasked to escort 5,000 mercenaries and 1,000 Mercury APC to their destination. The target would be the island without a military base on it in the south of Galmiria. It would likly be a swift and easy victory for CA forces, and a demoralizing defeat for Galmiria.

The fleet was en route, and would arrive at Galmiria soon.

((And how are your paratroopers going to be able to drop with those systems? I'll go along with it but take that into consideration next time))

The tanks began to push forward, the sheer number of Morgian troops that had been sent into battle should be enough to send the enemy back.

The tank gunners began to target the anti-tank systems, peppering holes in the men who controlled them. The battle hardened infantry began the use of massive fragmentation systems, the depleted and much smaller numbers paratroopers of Maldorians could not possibly withstand the power of Communist Morgiland.

The 120mm guns began to fire at the clumps of Maldorian paratroopers, the rear hatch of the tanks would open to reveal an RPG system firing toward the enemy.

"Intelligence has picked up a small fleet of Blackhelm craft on the satelite moving towards an island in your sector."

"Thank you, that will be all"

The Flett Mastir turned to an aide. "Send out twenty of the Mastir Class, and give me an air scouting party. I want to know how many of those bastards I'm dealing with."

On the flight deck of the Carrier Vidav

Roughly 50 JugenHawk Fighter Jets blasted off the runway at 20 second intervals, they headed south in the direction of the island.

Ten Mastir Battle Ships had pulled anchor at the exact same moment, the order had come in several minutes after Morgian High Command had been notified of the fleets presence.

The planes soared through the clouds at 2,000 ft watching the horizon and the black specs that grew ever closer. "Release missiles." Came the order from the Lutenit in charge of the mission.

The cruise missiles shot off from the underbelly of the plane, flying toward the Blackhelm fleet. Meanwhile, the small Morgian ships chugged closer to their objective.

The stun grenades had absolutely no effect on the tanks, as each tanker was inside the steel hull of their Behemoth. Sniper rounds merely bounced off the heavy armor of the lubering giants as they fired their coaxial guns and their main cannons in response, hoping to cut down as many of the enemy forces as possible.

Artillery still rained down on the enemy forces, though EXCALIBER rounds were not wasted anymore on a retreating enemy. Standard 120mm HE rounds would still do the trick for the situation.

OOC: The Errikan government is maintaining its neutrality, but private companies are selling their "products"

IC:
Southern Maldorian Empire; 05.30 Hours

As he entered the room, Edward Smith removed his heavy overcoat and shook off the cold. After several hours of travel, the businessman was relieved to be at his destination. He was here, like many other Errikan businessmen, to provide a product. Most were negotiating prices or overseeing shipments related to foodstuffs, fuel, and military equipment. His product was an army.

Though the Errikan government took painstaking steps to retain their profitable neutrality, the certain aspects of the Errikan private sector saw that this neutrality offered them little such profit. And what is war if there is not profit?

Smith had had great difficulty getting the large force through Errikan Nordenland and across the border, though he had, as he always prided himself, stayed strictly on the correct side of the law. Now his job became far easier: oversee the continuation of military operations in this sector. This meant a steady supply of food, ammunition, fuel, and equipment (easy enough as that had already been coming in large quantities), and being sure that the army proved itself valuable enough for additional services to be procured.

The Maldorian Mercenary 1st Army:

500,000 Infantry
100,000 Cavalry
-45,000 Challenger II Tanks (140,000 crew)
-95,000 Heavy Humvees and Other (160,000 crew)
100,000 Heavy
-Artillery, including M777 and PzH 2000 Howitzers and modified versions of M163s, 9K37s, and M270s

Logistical Support:
A force of this size naturally requires substantial logistical support, most of which shall be provided by the Maldorians. However, the force has brought over 50,000 trucks and 10,000 modified CH-53E Helicopters, along with plenty of supplies for them to ship.

This shipment was noted by Wanderjarian Sattelites who constantly monitored Errikan areas, and the SSNs which followed the Wanderjarian Assault Fleet. And thus, with the Wanderjarian Fleet now in Maldorians Waters, and absolutely unopposed so far, Admiral Reinhardt, who accompanied this venture as TC (Theater Commander), dispatched several SSN wolfpacks to dispatch the group when it entered International Waters. These ships, though Allied in nature, were going to assist an enemy. So, they could not be allowed to survive.

This bothered Emperor Baker. He had always liked Errikland, ever since they supported him in the Forever War, the new Wanderjarian Title for the Chitzeland Conflict.

However, if Wanderjarian lives had to be saved, then it was what needed to be done.

(OOC: Basically, 10x Los Angeles Class SSNs, and 20x SSN-774 Virginia Class will be hounding those shipments, hopefully for me, destroying them all.)

The Mandalore stepped forward presenting himself in a happy mood. He began to shake the Erikkland Businessman's hand and then started talking about the Mercenaries, "Will we be able to use your men outside of our nation, like using them to defeat Galmiria?"

The young Dragoons sat restlessly in their deeply entrenched position on the edge of the Galmirian coast. Machine guns pointed directly at the 100 yard stretch of sand in front of them, lines of fire were checked and rechecked.

Barbwire entanglements were strung across the entirety of the southern beaches. The Morgian fleet waited restlessly several miles out to sea. They had seen little action, save for the small sized fleet that had moved out to engage the Blackhelm ships on their way to aid Maldorians.

The Morgian Detachment

((Since Blackhelm has yet to respond to my post...))

The cruise missiles released by the 25 Juggenhawk were sent careening into the 5 BlackHelm ships. Turning around for another pass the planes released another pay load, repeating the process twice more before sending several strafing missions to remove any targets on deck that presented themselves.

The attack had been a quick shock-and-awe move before the 10 Mastir Class Battleships showed up. The real payload would then be unleashed on the Blackhelm Fleet.

OOC: For starters, caps lock is nobody's friend. Second, keeping things "secret" is bad roleplay, especially when you havn't cleared it with the other person. You could easily follow through with your plan, and have the other person say "nope, your wrong", which would either lead to your forces being decimated, or a huge OOC fight, more likely anyways.

A two-engined, prop-driven plane sputtered along about a thousand feet off the ground. The canoe-shaped water landing gear sparkled in the sunlight where landings had worn the paint down and the silvery primer exposed.

Peering out of the cockpit was a trio of Blubs. One of them piloting the craft, another navigating while the third focused a camera down towards the ocean, testing the lens and zoom function. Soon enough they were inland, flying into Galmiria airspace and towards the scenes of combat which satallites linked back to Blubland had detected.

Five JuggenHawk fighter jets zoomed over the Galmirian landscape. The Naval radars had detected the unidentified aircraft flying over the submarine fleet.

10 cruise missiles loosened themselves from the airborne carriers and were sent barreling towards the Blub aircraft. The pilots were instructed to say that the plan was close to the Maldorian aircraft and that it highly resembled a Maladore plane.

Somewhere over land

The little airplane continued along, the occupants each occupied with their own task. Suddenly, a little red light began to blink on the console. The three looked at it, blinkedblinked in their cute, Blubbish way. The navigator checked his RADAR screen, and of course at the very edge of it, a cluster of blips were quickly approaching.

Navigator Blub squeaked! Pilot Blub squeaked back, and the two began to argue about how best to avoid the situation. Tentacles waved as the two bickered, flailing their tentacles at each other. The cameraman Blub finally slapped a tentacle down on the console, which caused the chaff and flares to deploy like a sparkling string behind the aircraft, completely masking its low-heat outline.

In a series of explosions, the cruise missiles began to explode in the wake of the airplane, each one growing closer and closer, the pressure wave from the last one sending the little seaplane tumbling. The cameraman Blub was screaming franticly as the world spun, and even as the pilot and navigator continued to bicker, the pilot pulled out of the nosedive.

The seaplane shuddered, and there was a terrible wrenching sound. They looked out the window to see the port propeller slowing down, two of the blades bent and the engine shredded from shrapnel. Part of the tail had been clipped off as well, and the plane's body had several holes, out of one of which oil was spilling.

The trio looked at the console in silence, watching as the gauges began to drop. The seaplane's nose dipped towards the ground, and it started to lose altitude.

The JuggenHawks roared back for one last strafing mission. The machine guns gave their characteristic rat-a-tat-tat sound as they peppered the sky around the falling Blub aircraft.

The pilots smiled to one another and zoomed off towards the waiting aircraft carriers. One after the other pulled his aircraft's nose upward and caught the arresting wire.

The mission was complete.

One of the seaplane's floaters went tumbling through the air, and as the tracers swept across the aircraft, the tail broke free and fell off. The aircraft went into a nose dive, spinning as it trailed smoke towards the ground below.

One after another, the Blumbs climbed through the hatch and lept out. And three small parachutes with three small Blubs floated to the ground, their plane slamming into the earth a half mile away.

Hundreds of tired, retreating Galmirians were blown to bits by the Morgiland Bombers. The wet and bloody soldiers then hopped back in Morgiland trenches and told them of their horrors.

Mocking the fleeing Galmirians, the Maldorian Army maintained their control on the hill.

"Come on Ralph, why are they running away again," asked Corporal Fatcher as he talked with a private.

"I have no idea sir. I wonder what our next plan is."

"we will attack their trenches and send them flying into their capital."

Hello friend. We thought that we were alone against the Maldorian Empire. We require forces either on our shores to block any enemy reinforcements or at our barely managing HQ. We have 4,,000 men and 500 tanks at our capital, yet many are loosing morale quickly.

Thank you,

To Maldorians Military Command,

We see that you have been getting bloodied out here. We are willing to arm and supply your men, as well as drop in advisors to help your boys crush the opposition. Upon your approval, we can have one million G36E assault rifles, ten thousand Javelin anti-tank weapons, eight hundred Mercury Armoured Personnel Carriers, and 100 F-4 Phantom II's. We do hope you accept our aide, and with our support, the tide here will soon turn.

To our friends, the Galmirians:
We have seen your struggle, and we were forced to sit out due to our wars with strong countries, such as Beiraq.

Well now it's no more. We are at war with only one country now, and we are only using 2,000,000 troops out of our mighty 20 million-man army.

If you would like, we can supply aid with ground troops, nuclear weapons, supplies, bombers, fighters, weapons, you name it.

Your old time ally
Caliph Victor I
