We were wondering if you could spare a few instructors and advisors. Recently, we have been meaning to pull a few Spec. Ops. but we have been unable to field well-trained Operators, that is why we request your help in training them in the ways of covert warfare.

The People's Republic Of Hurtful Thoughts would be willing to send a contingent of our recently reforemed Marine Raiders, the more legitimate reincarnation of the FBIA(SOC) wich I doubt you have even heard of. I'll sumise that they have done a number of, disruptive operations, to prevent worlwide genocide from becoming the new status quo.
However, before sending troops, we would like to know how many are we training and how much time we have to train them.

We're glad to see you answered our call, please meet us in the Military Base south of Aszenmilovich, bring any weapons, explosives and equipment you deem necessary.
Security clearances will be given to your men.
Colonel Vince Ergalla stepped off the C-5, stretching as he lowered himself to the tarmac. He watched as an MH-20 was offloaded from the cargo hold, along with weapons and equipment he and his team of instructors would be using to teach the new special forces of TWSP all they had to know.
Gathering his senior staff, he went off in search of someone from TWSP to make contact with, knowing there were still other teams which had yet to arrive.

This is the Wanderjarian GSG-9 Operator. He is equipped with the latest in sensory, communications, personal survival, and enemy detection equipment. This is all done through a HUD (Heads up Display) situated in the facemask, which I might add, is transparant. This allows the user to recieve real time maps from his Commander, with waypoints located on said map, as well as giving the commander the ability to see what his soldier sees through the "Command Helmet", which has this option. It also has several vision modes, including night vision, but also infra red, which enables the soldier to be able to see through walls to some degree. It is not fool proof, so do not rely on it, but its ability is there.
The armor itself has a rudimentary cloaking system, allowing it to change its color according to the surrounding environment, and to the user's liking. This is done to where the user can become much harder to see.
The uniform is constructed from spider silk, giving it the ability to stop a 7.62 MM round at close proximity, keeping the user alive, but severe pain from the impact force is unavoidable. It is very light too, so the trade off for pain is survival and lightness of equipment.
These are among the basic advantages to the Wanderjarian GSG-9 Future Force Warrior equipment, which has been expanded upon from the standard Wanderjarian Integrated Warfighter System.
I will send an A-Team (12 Wanderjarian Operators) to help train and advise your men. They will work good for you comrade!
(OOC: This equipment is real, and is currently under development for the United States Army at the Natick Soldier Center:

Someplace south of Aszenmilovich
A pair of Hurtian Mi-26 Halo transport helicopters flew overhead, with crates slung under their bellies, they lowered the crates gingerly to the ground, released the cables, and continued down and forward in one smooth motion intil it bumped to a stop.
Upon which 49 Marine raiders and Deputy Ministeer of Defense Barny F. Gumbal hopped out. and the two planes lifted off as the flight cheifs attempted to close the doors and then sped to wherever they came from.
The raiders fanned out.
And Barny walked up to the main gate of the compund, and knocked.
They had intentionally landed these supplies just outside the compound.
The Marine raiders were armed with the new experimental 6.5 x 51 mm round, a modified .257 Roberts in the CM-26 assault rifle, their pistols were chambered for .256 Winchester magnum pistol cartridge.
It was 0200 hours...

As they moved the crate (or rather, attempted to) a shot rang out, peferating the paint cans atopt the crates, and, due to the shock of the 6.5 mm bullets used, exploded, splattering all nearby the crates in bright red paint, then the rest of the marine raiders came out from the brush with paintball markers, spraying the area down with yet more brilliant red paint, it was over in a matter of seconds.
One that was walking back towards Minister Gumbal was shot in the back with a paintball...
Minister Gumbal:
"Alright, you are all dead, would anyone care to explain to me what you all did wrong during this exercise in order to get every one of you 'killed' in less than 5 minutes of a mock 'Combat exercise'?"
As he is giving this speach, a single Marine Raider walks up to a pallet witha box cutter, cuts open a palletized 10 ton sling load, and pulls out backpacks, and rifles, not one weighed over 200 pounds... Then tossed them aside from the crate for a short line of troops to pick up and rush into the base as the rest set about securing the perimiter, guns at ready.
After every 15 minutes the runners trade places with the picket line.

One of the officers attempted an explanation, while the others scratched the paint of their faces and skin.
"We didnt set a perimeter nor sentries?"

One of the Marines hands Gumbal a paintball gun, which he then fires at one of the recruits he sees scratching off the paint rather than paying attention
"You'll have time to worry about how you look later, right now we are talking about how you could have done this in a real life situation and not get killed."
He continued:
"Correct, and anybody want to try explaining to me why none of you brought your guns when you left the base? Or how about why none of you seem to remember that a palletized load can be broken up into easier to manage pieces? Or why you all bunched up by the crates? Take for example, when the marine raiders demonstrated this, if another paint can trap went off, how many would have gotten splattered/blown up?"
[One, the guy opening ther pallet and tossing out the equipment]
After they gave their answers he finally allowed them to the showers (but only for a very short amount of time before they cut off the water and kicked them out), and then have a late (and therefore cold and bland) breakfast.
Meanwhile, Minister Gumbal, Lt. Mendez, and Sgt. Gorbechev reviewed their options on furthering their training.

After breakfast, Gumbal then had them assemble at the flagpole, sign asked if they remembered their weapons this time.
Upon reaching the flagpole, he went over an apology for being pergaps a little too harsh on them for being completely untrained pussies, and at first glance had mistaken them for something better than regular soldiers.
After getting this off his chest, he then gave the lecture:
"Special ops... most people think of some sort of super soldier, this is a false concept, special operationss require you to do jobs while completely unoticed and in plain view of your enemies, and when found, you won't even have time to cock your gun before you are dead. Your goal, will be to collect, and report information to friendly forces while disrupting the enemy's actions as needed while inside enemy territory a land in a state of constant readiness to find and kill you.
We are not here to train you how to act like James Bond, Rambo, or even McGeiver, this job is going to be niether glamorous nor rewarding. Chances are, when you leave this camp you will either succeed and never be mentioned, or die and dishonor your county.
Chances are, when you are deployed, they will send no more than 11 to 15 men, but will expect more resault from those few men than they'd expect from their entire military might put together. Your country will push you hard, will give you inaccurate information, and ask for you to find them better information in return. When they ask for you to nuetralise something, they will want it destroyed completely and with not a trace linked to them.
You will be asked to live off the land around you while deep in enemy territory, and if they catch you, they will torture you till you spill your guts then they'll kill you, all on national television, and you homeland will deny your very existance.
We are here to train you not only to do that, but to do that with less than an APC full of troops per nation, and with zero casualties, and perfect resaults every time. For anything less is failure.
Welcome to special ops."
After a brief pause, as he opened his notes and took a drink of water he continued:
Today's lesson will be on cover stories, these are fairly simple to grasp.
You have your high profile covers, such as impersonating delegates, CEOs, VIPs and the like. These people have the most ready access to sensitive information, but are under almost constant scrutiny, one slip and you are dead before you hit the ground. Some of these are of fictional delegates or CEO's of front companies, you can always expect a 'control' or a counter intellegence observer watching your every move, making this catagory a poor choice.
You then have low profile cover, access is almost none, but you can get away with almost as much as a normal person would, usually you would pose as a regular person and ask for favors from the locals to get the access you'll need. You'll face little or no scrutiny at the borders under this cover.
And then there are Covert operations, you have no cover, but they also don't know who you are, this also includes when you break cover, getting in or out is difficult, and usually fatal if done this way.
A cover is best done with two people, one, the field agent, armed with a business or identification card, and the other, his alibi, wich has his phone number listed on the business or identification card. This part will be handled for you by desk workers, so you only need to remember which card and cover you are using."

Non-official cover: Not government affiliated, resualts vary. Very risky for the agent, though completely safe for the parent nation.

Now to continue BSing the IC portion up to the next mission...
IC:
"now, moving on, extracting information...
MICE
Money
Ideology
Coercion or
Excitement
Those are the four methods to get your subject to talk without resorting to tying them to a kitchen chair and pistol whipping them until the firing pin finally makes contact with the primer or the person talks.
You will most likely be doing this elicitation of information on a shoestring budget, so forget about bribery, though hinting at bribery is an option to lure them to give details. Simply, you'll have to convince them you have something they want even if you don't have it when you take this method. Generally it is possable to use the promise of a reward for their information and services followed by a convincing up front appearance of false honesty should work for as long as practical.
Ideology is feasable only if you can convince the subject that you both want the same thing and you are sincere.
Coercion, is torture and blackmail, not exactly the best way to get a 'repeat informant', but useful on lower class people who you believe is holding out on you or trying to rip you off and has no information of any real value to you. Such method shows dominance, taps them of everything they know, and discourages them from teasing you with false infoemation. Needless to say, coercion is best done behind closed doors.
Excitement, rather simple, surprise them, say something you and your subject know is blatently false to get correct information.
(OOC: K, so wikipedia sucks for spy info, also distorted their info to fit the IC context as MICE reffers to why people join up... going off of memory now...)
I'll close with a brief summary:
Give yourself a good cover story, one that will make them more open
Compliment them, vary from mild to exaggerated, inflate their ego
Convince them that you think they are an expert and you should know what they know.
Intentionally appear misinformed when in doubt of your source, a competant person is bound to nudge in and correct you if you are loud enough.
Trekkie convention:
Spy: And then the trilithium crystals...
Person B: Dilithium you dolt...
Rifle Range:
Spy: The M-16 is effective only out to XXX yards (short) and couldn't penetrate even a quarter inch of plate, and is therefore a peice of crap
Informant: You idiot! Even the basic recruit could accurately shoot out to XXX yards and pentrate [XX inches of plate] at that range.
Make sure you are talking to the right person.
Remember the local and international laws."

Per guy, each one has to get their name, age, address, phone number, and passport number (swiss bank account would be a bonus to your paycheck).
Good luck "AJ"...
Don't forget your lofty 'legend'. As that would be vital to your success.
Think
Why would a girl want to tell you that info?
Or
Why would you need to know that info to get what she wants?
The rich playboy pilot with a private island comes to mind...
Name and phone number so that you can "talk to her later"
Address so you can pick her up and give her a ride in your sports car (But you are too 'drunk' to drive, so you can't drive them right now [but still suave and charming for some reason, if they don't believe it, get lost looking for your car, give up looking for it, decide to hail a taxi, ask for her to come with you tomarrow, give her a kiss, and ride to the next bar for the next girl to spoil.])
Passport because you'll offer them a plane trip, some sightseeing, etc, and that'll take them over international waters, and he'll have to log their passport numbers a day in advance.

Why I suggested you only follow one recruit for this bit (and the hotel), I suggested his true name being "Mike Porter"...
Or we can skip ahead assuming you did exactly as outlined above, managed to end the conversations on a high note and as a success, and now on your way to the hotel to take a well earned nap in a 4 star hotel under a false name "A. J Harris".
(Heck, if your old and brave enough you can try it yourself, as that is pretty much how they really train, no legal protection either... So buy some girls some drinks and BS you way through a delightful conversation with a pair of reasonably attractive women... Captain Johann Sebastian twitched a bit, he had been left at the gates of one of Aszenmilovich's most popular bars, yet, he was somewhat scared. Reuniting any strenght he had left in his body, he entered.
The place was crowded, hundreds of women and men together in a small pace, drinking and dancing all around, the music was so hard it was driving him deaf. Still, he made his way to the bar.
"A beer, please" he said to the girl attending the bar, his request was promtply fullfiled and soon he sat with a cold drink, observing the girls around him. They were all "normal" to him, although he had seen some real beauties dancing around earlier.
He tried his luck with the first one, a short brunette with a rather "generous" bust.
"Excuse me, may I speak to you?"
"Get lost looser"
His "target" mixed in with the crowd, leaving him dissapointed on the bar. This was going to be a loooooong night.

Might want to try a better physical appearance than "the guy who just walked off the base for some lovin"
Also don't speak 'to' them, speak 'with' them. For other tips, consult your local fraternity.
You also have to look for the gullible women seeking a relationship/a thrillseeker.
(IE, those easily conned and taken advantage of, if you must, the girl nursing her beer is an option... [offering to give her a cab ride home and to call her later to see if she is all right for example, followed by offering her a trip to a tropical paradise for a 'change of scenery'])

Let the lying begin, oh, and pay attention to everything she says, like a real conversation, and make extra special note about the info that you need, along with things she makes a big deal about, as that would be what the conversation will center around by default, though you can slowly 'nudge' a conversation well off topic.

Oh well, Those three would be rounded up as they eat their contenental breakfast (drugged food) or are attempting to take a taxi back to base (Agents in taxis).
Just because I like having the IC all together and coherent for this RP (any 'real war' spy RP should be chaotic at all times, a lesson from Dephire may help with that... Though Deph is just naturally occuring choas and getting anything other than a random answer is rather random)

Each of the cab drivers (Hurtian Raider instructors with rather well designed disguises on) locked their specially modified taxi cab doors, locking the people inside the cab as they drove (shooting the driver won't do much good, as another modification involves bulletproofing the door locks and the partition in the cab), picked up a 2nd instructor with a tazer, who then subdued and bagged the agent in the backseat of each of the cabs, which then proceeded to the warehouse.
Now, to Johann's inerogation:
(If he keeps fouling up he will be dropped from the SF course, no goodbyes, just dropped off in the middle of nowhere with a few bruises)
Johann was kicked awake and brought to the office of the warehouse, which served well as an interogation chamber.
Inside where two men, a table, two chairs, and a light bulb, the cieling was wireframe, and ropes could be seen dangling from them, Johann is still bound at the wrists. And is only unbagged as he enters the interogation room. The windows are painted over with black paint.

"Some of those men, and women, are undoubtedky one of yours, while the others are innocent, if you continue to misbehave, we shall select members at random, take them out back, and shoot them. Understand?"
He then started to bring the crane back over the office platform, and let him hang there, is feet mere inches from the ground now, and the zip ties digging into his wrists.

Some time passes (it takes awhile to interogate 50 people)
One of the 'gaurds' kicked Harris again, but this time said something, very clearly:
"Your turn again, Captian Johann Sebastian"
He then dragged Harris to his feet and led him back to the office.
Johann kept acting like a scared child all the way to the office, it was not clear if this "interrogation" had officially ended, so he kept feigning.
After beign dragged inside, and having the papers shown, he burst in tears.
"I told you, someone must be setting me up! I dont even know what that stuff is!"

"Do you not recall, that when I addressed you as Captian Johann Sebastian, and said I had a package for him and him alone, you not only accepted the package, you signed his signature in front of me...
That either makes you, Johann Sebastian, or a spy, or both... So which are you?"

Harris blushed before answering.
"Well, you see, I know this girl, and her and I like to... uhm... pretend, you know? Foreplay *Cough* and stuff like that. We had agreed that I was to be an army officer and she a tied-up POW"

"I, see... except this letter was a fake, developed by myself to trick you. There is also a Captain Johann registered in the military, it just seems too convienent that this is all a coincidence. Also, I was tipped off by a reputable source within the military that I would find you at the hotel, in that very room."
He paused
"It just seems a little too much for a practical joke, and it would require your girlfriend, the military of The World Soviet Party, and the real Johann Sebastian to be in on it".

"Well, thing is I do know a Captain Johann, he was a classmate of mine in College, and, I should mention I was always a little jealous of his... wait, this is not my psychologist, I shoulndt be talking about this. Tell you what, check my pocket, theres a phone number there, its my girlfriend's, call her and say that Captain John will be coming soon, she'll understand. Oh, and dont tell my wife please, she is very... uhm... violent when it comes to matters of this sort"

He smiled...
"So, you really aren't Captain Johann... You don't know anything... we have no reason to continue questioning you."
"Guard, take this man out back and shoot him for wasteing our time..."
As Johann was pushed out the door, the Porter smilled and said to the other gaurd:
"Well, he wouldn't live long in a prision camp, but by golly, getting so much as the time of day from him is going to be impossable..."
Johann was pushed outside, the sun was high in the air, how long had he been in there? He was walked out to a beam planted firmly into the ground, pock marks showing it had been used many times before as a stake for the firing squad. On one side was a berm, and a pile of dead bodies, on the other side was a row of men carrying various cheap automatic weapons, the AR-550 and CFR-7 predominating. They wore facemasks and red armbands. A man offered a blindfold as he was tied down.

Me and Wanderjar decided to show off upon entry, I gave my group a tough time while Wanderjar's men were given latrine duty.
First practice mission in the field a success, Wanderjarian troops spotted getting silly in a bar.
Firs test a failure, but they appear to be recovering/learning from that mistake.
2nd test seems to pass, though not in the manner I originally expected...
Wanderjar's men decided to take a bakseat and watch my training program unfold...
Though I encourage him to try training his group at the same time.

After blindfolding him, and others, somone acting like a commanding officer started bellowing orders in some obscure language, but the sounds that followed gave grim translation.
[Ready!]
[Aim]
[Fire]
Guns jam
[(After swearing profusely), reload!]
[Aim]
[Fire]
Bullets sizzle through the air, richocheting off of unseen objects. They missed...
The officer, shouts that the men leave, and goes walking in a line, shooting each man individually with a pistol.
blanks in pistol
Johann's turn...
he aims a little off center, to the left of is head, next to his ear
[bang]
He then continues on with the rest of the men.
Someone followed behind him, cutting down and removing the bodies from the stakes.
They shall be debriefed later (still bound)...

Johann didnt move as he felt the man aim at him, he grinded his teeth when he heard the shot, expecting to just die immediatly, but he didnt. A little surprised, he stood still, hanging like a dead man would.

At the end of the little charade, he had the agents walked into anther warehouse, were they were told to stand as they removed their blindfolds, in front of them stood Sgt Gobechev, [the porter], with most of his plastic mask removed.

Bump... thought it was Wanderjar's turn...
As that ICly was an entire day...
So do you want an 'easy' mission, or a 'hard' one.
One involves a trip to the city, another involves a trip to a real field of combat.
Or basic SERE and foriegn/exotic weapons training from the instructors?
(Which involves a very lengthy monolouge followed by a short 'mini RP' of SERE training)
Followed by 'Urban SERE'
(which culminate to dropping you off in some city (not necisarily TWSP, and may speak a foriegn language), and the instructors convincing the authorities you are an international terrorist and must be captured [prefferably alive, but dead is an option], it would then be your goal to make it back to the barracks under your own power)
That would be followed by the final mission, conducting a true SF mission within your borders, and not get caught (such as destroying an illegal drug lab or empty warehouse, or, prematurely demolish a decomissioned bridge [in other words, do something very hard to conceal, and conceal it, or at the very least, not get caught])
I got it, staging an assasination of Emporer Baker... in public... Then not beng caught...
And without Emporer Baker's knowledge.
Meaning you'll need someone to impersonate Baker, convince the world he is dead [so the real Mr Baker will have to be detained, he can have a laugh over it later; saying it was for him to see what exactly would happen if someone did kill him, so that they may improve upon it] and seek shelter [if you saw the old movie 'FX' or 'Mission Impossoble 3' (both movies involve staging the death of a crimminal for questioning), you'll have an idea or two already on how this is done (though you'll do it better)]

I'm guessing the 'final mission' will instead be guarding that lil special box you have...
Aided by Wanderjar SF of course, as a safegaurd to prevent failure.

OOC:
Left off at... Wanderjar teaching basic + advanced weapons stuff...
(Mastering almost all weapons in NS existance, and teaxhng them how to learn really fast if they aren't masters)
And other 'technical' SF stuff (improvised weapons, safe handling of prisioners, traps, marksmanship, etc)
Don't know about stealth, improvised bivies, and scouting.
So I should cover that anyways, with an OOC link, cause I'm lazy.
Basics: Find, Fix, Flank, Finish. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I0f6BoTqFQ) 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn7Vzo8iRDA) 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsklSG4h2HE) 3 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWgSmSTbnxA)
Sniping/scouting (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4521572679299554649)
What they are looking for: 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Frg_jZ5gzkw), 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEY7nufV6yA)
(Bold, all caps notes are preffered, as it is more legable in the event they find you dead with your notes)
So that leaves me with that and handing out another mission.
IC:
Before rotating the groups from their Hurtian trainers to the GSG, and the GSG releasing their cadets to the Hurtian Raiders, they decided to brush up on the 'basics' for combat, mostly centering around GASN and CA affiliated weapons and tactics. Survival, escape and evasion came shortly afterwards, and involved mostly a stay in the woods as Hurtian raiders hunted them with paintballs.
Those who 'failed' would have been asked to try again, with live ammo, or leave.
Not many failed, some did fail, twice, others decided to leave while they still had a pulse, as things would only get harsher as time went on, and the Hurtians believed they were ready for live fire excercises, though political pressure from Minister Pinkerton (or Deputy Minister Gumbal) prevented this.
The Raiders focused intently on 'shovel fighting', mostly with pundjabs.
This was later translated to hand t hand with firearms an CQB. (http://www.angelfire.com/art/enchanter/drkcr.html)
Dealing with 'active camo' was also discussed, as it was well known an IIR or UV sensor may detect what is not apparent to the naided eye, or, the active camo could be 'overwhelmed' with light from flares, or smoke could be used t track their movement (smoke is pulled with the armor, this is how farts 'travel'), and a brief discussion of a paint that rapidly gives of visable smoke upon contact with air was also given.
They also taught the soldiers to rely less on high tech solutions, and to be able to use 'low tech' alternitives with equal ability (but generally more expense, as a flare is single use, an IIR sensor is multiple use) should their equipment fail for any reason; this included LOS commnication with heliographs/blinkers/flags, use of colored flares and smokes, use of certain gun reports (the noise a gun makes when fired) or lack thereof, air/ground signals, trail signals, and flags.
Tracking and stalking wer also taught, both for SERE situations, and more 'urban' conditions, such as hunting down targets hiding amongst the general population of innocent/unknowing bystanders.
Along the way, mind games and practical jokes ran rampant, mostly fueled by their instructors at first, it was hoped such things would becme self-sustaining, as it kept their minds on edge, to be kind and courtius to everyone they meet, yet always thinking of ways to kill everyone in the room with minimal risk/witnesses.
Likewise, the instructors didn't ask questions when a cadet showed up late, or in a disfigured uniform, badly beaten, or not at all. Occasionally, even the instructors had 'trouble' showing up in full uniform, or sometimes with a black eye.
Combat drills were mostly 'hunt/run excercises' with each section taking turns, and no two sections served together on the same side in the same place more than twice, in order to familiarise them with all the units capabilities quickly. They practiced in fields, mountains, forests, swamps military bases, and towns.
One day, a rather 'normal day' Mendez gave them a 'simple' task, naming their units...
That same day, Gumbal ordered the men ready to deploy within 24 hours, and he assured them, that they would be going overseas...
