State of Affairs in Ackistan

Once again, military experts around the world believe Ackistan is mobilizing for war. These experts point to the following evidence to support their claims:

- A number of reserve units have been activated in recent weeks.
- Spy satellites flying over Ackistan are being blinded once again.
- A large fleet has been gathering off Ackistan's coast. The fleet is rumored to include many amphibious assault ships.
- Ackistan's military budget has been steadily increased over the last few years.
- An unknown quantity of men and military hardware are being moved from Ackistan to Dartia. Spy satellites flying over Dartia are also being blinded.

At this time, the government has made no official statement regarding this buildup. When questioned, government officials typically respond by saying, "Our peaceful neighbors have nothing to fear from us. Our military buildup is merely the result of a perceived threat."

In other news, Ackistan and Trivalvia are conducting a series of joint military exercises geared to provide their respective militaries with valuable experience. The first of these exercises is currently underway.

Peace keeping forces in Naasha and Surdun are being withdrawn. After brokering a peace deal in that region, Ackistan was dismayed to witness nearly every party involved violate the agreement. At this time, Ackistan no longer recognizes the validity of that treaty including their peace keeping obligations. Still, Ackistan pledges to continue efforts towards peace in that area.

Ackistani news agencies continue to cover news from Surdun, Naasha, Clandonia Prime, GASN, and the CA with great interest. Pollsters reveal the following information:

- Chellis, Dartia, and Trivalvia enjoy unprecedented popularity in Ackistan.
- The Dominion of Emperor Pudu, Tranquility Islands, Guathic, Maraque, Imperial Isa, Nor nuin Giliath, Oslea, and North Tolemac enjoy popular support among Ackistani citizens. Maldorians has fallen out of favor after their government attempted to persuade a third party to not sell oil to Ackistan for unknown reasons.
- Ackistanis continue to harbor resentment and even hatred towards Clandonia Prime, Mationbuds, Hataria, and Blainesville. Hataria's recent nuclear tests have earned that nation a terrible reputation for recklessness.
- The GASN alliance is no longer viewed with mistrust. However, Ackistan's opinion of Cravan has soured due to treaty violations in the Surdun/Naasha conflict.
- Feelings towards the Corporate Alliance is on the decline. The nuclear attack in the Khornate Tribes region combined with a number of severe civil rights violations is responsible for this new trend.
- Ackistani opinion towards The World Soviet Party is improving. In some government circles, there is even talk of establishing trade relations with TWSP.
- Ackistani opinion towards Transylvania is neutral.

- Ackistani opinion towards The World Soviet Party is mixed. Not long ago, TWSP ignored an Ackistani request for a diplomatic exchange, which ruffled a few feathers in the Ackistani government. Otherwise, Ackistan and TWSP have interacted very rarely. Some Ackistanis view the war in TWSP as an opportunity to teach GASN the price of bullying Ackistan. Others do not hold TWSP accountable for their allies’ actions, and wish to maintain peaceful relations.

Clandonian views on Ackistan have improved in recent days after the peace deal was agreed to by Naash and Clandonian commanders. A special thanks was sent to the Ackistani government for their helping in freeing the Clandonian prisoners, many hoped to imrpove relations as the need for the smaller nations to group together in the dangerous world of alliances.

I would have to say our opinion of your nation is somewhat nutreal, but that you benefit from some measure of goodwill due to your association with Chellis.

Hm... regarding the splitting up of Blainesville (if that option is indeed chosen)

Official Declaration of the Trivalvian Government

Trivalvia is willing to recognize the sovereingty of other nations, but given the lack of evidence of a central government within Blainesville, we are willing to agree with the Ackistani proposal with a few modifications.

The section of Blainesville to be considered "under our jurisdiction" will be deemed a "semi-autonomous protectorate" of the Democratic Republic of Trivalvia. A base will be established within the region, and 6 battalions of light infantry will be employed to provide regional security until a new Blainesville government is elected and a new Blainesville army can take over matters of security.

We invite observers from the GASN, the Dominion Commonwealth, and the more peaceful members of the Corporate Alliance to monitor our handling of the new Blainesville protectorate, and will be establishing a Protectorate Affairs ministry, which international observers, Blainesville municipal and interim government representatives, and Trivalvian field officials may voice concerns and grieviances.

It is our hope that free and fair elections will be held within the protectorate in six months.

OOC: I'm already using that statement as propaganda. I'm sure the people of Naasha will be delighted to offer you basing rights after the learn you think of them as toys. The treaty I am referring to is the Surdun/Naasha peace treaty, the one where you agreed your military would leave the area.
