On a cold moon in an outpost in the Negev 2 System, the Commonalitarianism was preparing to do weapons and military research and development.

Negev 2 was a perfect place for this. It was a dead system. The previous alien inhabitants had wiped themselves out in a massive genocidal war. The sixth world was a soup of biological, chemical, and radiological waste littered with war machines.

In the outer system, there were dead alien ships, lots of shattered planetoids, asteroids and debris fields. Nothing was alive.

Even the space around the outpost was permeated with small amounts of radiation. No one in their right mind would enter the system.

They had cleared an area of ordinance, unexploded space mines, standoff torpedos, and other dangerous stuff and were preparing to do testing.

The first test was about to begin, it was a spinoff of the Heim Drive technology that allowed them to negate and manipulate gravitate.

Professor Orlov had been tinkering with several gravitic technologies. The Heim Drive had worked on the principle of manipulating the relationship between gravity, light, and electromagnetism. They had figured out how to manipulate gravity using electromagnetic fields and advanced quantum devices.

The first was a kinetic repulsor beam weapon. It could projet kinetic force at a distance smashing into a ship and pushing it away.

The second was gravitic shielding designed to deflect missiles, bombs, and torpedos. It wasn't particularly effective against beam weapons, they had a tendency to go right through the shields.

The third was improving their gravity harness technology, allowing human pilots to maneuver at much higher g forces than normal.

The fourth was gravity field technology, allowing the gravity inside an installation to be adjusted without spin.

Professor Orlov was in direct contact with Paradise in the home system through a secret technology called a "Bell Quantum Tunneling Ansible" which operated on the properties of simultaneity in physics.

The kinetic repulsor beam test was about to begin. They had several objects to fire the repulsor beam at. They fired the beam at several incoming objects. A problem occurred, the ships were pushed away with little damage to the ship even with increased power. Increased power only seemed to increase the distance thrown.

However because they were graviphotonic technology they acted faster than light, it was possible to throw small objects faster than railgun rounds. It was also possible to use the repulsor beam to knock away incoming railgun rounds and missiles.

Gravity field technology. They turned on the gravity field generators. At normal gravity they worked fine. At higher than 2 gs, something strange happened, objects became attracted from a distance to the gravity field. Several meteors and micrometeors struck the ship forcing them to cancel the experiment for a while. They had accidentally created a tractor field which sucked in objects. The experiment had to be shut down to fix the ships in the area for a while.

Gravity harness technology--. They prepared a wide variety of empty old hulks which they left floating in a wide area. Several ramships were made ready. The troops locked themselves into their antigravity harnesses. They made several runs at high acceleration, going faster and faster ramming into the ships. They had to stop at 10gs with several troops breaking bones in their powered armor as well as parts of the powered armor giving out. The rammed ships had holes in them from the heavy forward beaked rams of the ramships. Some had been torn completely to pieces. It was an opportunity to practice their boarding techniques.

They did the same thing with small fighters going at very high speeds to do strafing runs at some of the remaining ships. They did combat maneuvers until two of the ships lost control. Luckily both pilots ejected before the ships smashed into the wrecks.
