Timeline 2006-2025:

2007: First pebble-bed modular reactor called HTR-10. Thirty total to be produced by 2020.
2008: Elections held, Hu Jintao is re-elected as President.
2009: After 50 years of almost uninterrupted rule, Fidel Alejandro Castro Rúz dies. The expected revolutionary forces rise up against the government, taking over most of Western Cuba and sieging Havana. Peralta flees to la Isla de la Juventud, the only other Communist stronghold in Western Cuba. China extends offers of help to the remaining communists.
2011: Large cases of pneumonia like symptoms reported in Beijing. The government fears a SARS outbreak again.
Late 2011: Fears subside after many people are tested and are reported not to be carrying the virus.
2013: Elections held, Former Vice President Zeng Qinghong is elected.
2014: China prefects space walking and docking, start work on a manned moon mission and space station.
2018: Elections held, Wen Jiabao narrowly defeats Zeng Qinghong for the presidency.
2020: Twenty-five pebble-bed modular reactor are created, the largest planned nuclear power deployment in history.
2021: Than Shwe, military dictator of Myanmar, is assassinated in Yangon. The ethnic time bomb that is the Union of Myanmar goes off, causing a huge civil war. Chinese soldiers are sent to the border to stop any spill over of the conflict into China.
2023: Chinese launch a successful manned mission to the moon. Elections held, Wen Jiabao is re-elected.
2024: A glorious day for China, a successful launch of the new space station.
