ooc: UN thread for Earth 2025. Once again, if you want in, go here (http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=501516).
I've assigned a Security Council. I've attempted to put in the PC nations I think would be elected. If you aren't there, it's no offense against you, it's just that I don't think the General Assembly would elect: a nation in the middle of a huge civil war, a genocidal military dictatorship, and a socialist police state. And, I left myself out, to be fair.

The People's Republic of China's delegate to the UN has this statement to say:

"The People's Republic of China would like to ask for UN permission to invade the former Union of Myanmar along China's southern border. We have stationed troops there for close to four years now. Our intensions are to take over the entire country and move it under Chinese adminisrative authority. After the country is settled, we can move to restore a government that the people would approve of.

We have seen in recent days a rise in clashes between Chinese troops along the border with different factions in Myanmar. So far 200 troops have been injuried from the fighting. We see if we continue as we are at this point in time then this number will rise.

If the UN does agree to this proposal, we can have our troops ready for deployment into the country within a week. We thank to assembly for its time"

The United Staes of America would like to enter a vote against permission for The People's Republic of China to invade the former Union of Myanmar. We would still like to see a another democratic government replace old one. We offer China our assistance in securing Myanmar's borders but can not agree to their takeover.
