Greetings Allies,

Ackistan and Keating Austaralis have both shown interest in joint space ventures with us. Praetonia has been involved with other talks on space programs and I would appreciate their involvement as well.

I propose that we work on an international space program. Several nations working togethor could easily pool their resources to build space vehicles and send them in orbit.

Our major contributions are a laser based ignition system for launch, and control of an equatorial region to reduce fuel costs and weight requirements.

There are already quite a few rocket scientists, aeronautics experts, and physicists who are strongly supporting (they won't shut up about it) a public space agency for government development of space technologies.

We would greatly appreciate an international space agency. Please, contact us soon so we may begin hammering out the details of this program.

Signed,
Head of State, Anthony Malcolm

Are space program the USA (Ustian Space Administration) would gladly join your international space agency. We can provide anything you need from space shuttles to heavy lifter rockets. We would be honored to work side by side with other nations so that we can further advance are knowledge of space. Let us work to togther toward are common goal.

Warm greetings to you Mr. Malcolm and to your country.

I am Gena Windstarr, Head of state of Windstarr and this kind of thing is of great interest to myself and my country.I am quite new to such a position of leadership but I very much want to bring my country up to date with the rest of the world and something like this is a great oppertunity. If there is any way that I or my country can contribute to this so that all may benifit and prosper then please feel free to contact me.

Sincearly, Gena Windstarr of Windstarr.

Mr. Malcom-
The Interstellar Exploration and Colonization Association of Fesilgrad and the Akritos Colonies(IECAF) wishes to join your Space Exploration Program. We have developed a navy of interstellar space ships, with interplanetary trade. We can offer you complete spaceships, probes, and shuttles. There are several planets in the Akritos System to explore, and Fesilgrad would welcome a joint expedition to the inner planets of the system.
Space Admiral John M. Rokerfield, Director of IECAF

OOC: Going with Modern Technology, and plan on advancing this into Post Modern Tech. If you are willing to play as an Earth Based, Modern nation, that would be fine.

OOC: Oh, so just because my nation is on earth it can't have technology? What if technology is thrust upon it by an interstellar visit from an alien race, huh?

OOC: No, I am saying this is a modern tech space program. Alien tech is not modern.

We, the Poeple of Keating AUstralis are willing to host the facilities required for the development of our joint space program. Our key universities have develpoed research parks dedicated to these things, and are developing pulse activated nuclear propulsion systems.

Let us work towards the greater good ofour people and humanity.

The space shuttles would be very much appreciated. But as for the standard launch system, I was hoping we could advance beyond it.
Laser based propulsion is a proven method of moving things a few kilometers in altitude.
We've developed a method of launching objects by combining a powered engine system and laser ignition. The laser ignition and powered systems work togethor to lift the vehicle initially, using mainly oxygen for fuel with small amounts of propellant to supplement. In the higher atmosphere where the oxygen begins to become too insubstantial for fuel, more fuel is added until eventually it's using all rocket fuel to propel itself, the rocket fuel still being ignited by the laser on the ground. Eventually, reaches orbit and releases it's payload. It than falls back down into the atmosphere and makes splashdown to be recovered.

So far, the only crewed vehicle we have launched is Sun Falcon. A hypersoar technology orbital vessel. Lifting body design, less than half the weight of a space shuttle. It get's just outside of the atmosphere and skips along the surface at mach 20. Standard lifting rockets could carry 2 or 3 into space, really... if not for their width and inability to really attach one to a rocket.

Anyway, the laser ignition technology is what we are looking to explore for major launches. We just need to build a larger laser system and larger lifting systems, and it could very well replace the lifting rockets in space shuttle launches.
