Morvonian Parliment, 2 hours after meetings on "disowned military."(OOC: MT-PMT)
The prime minister sat in his office, he was beaten by the opposition, and he had the mental scars to prove it, His minister of defence sat opposite of him, the room except for the floor, which was carpet, was old wood, it had beautiful portrates and paintings, book cases filled to the brim with books, Military History and Law, he was a retired military lawyer.
Prime Minister Alexandros looked up from his desk towards Tomas Yamiros, his defence minister, he had just fired the other one. "My god, remind me never to hier a non-military minister as a Defence minister." Alex said with a forced smile, "I will" Tom replied.
Alex was ashamed that he let politics get in the way of his military honor and intuition.
Alex got up and walked to the window. "You know how bad it is right, tanks so old, that repairs are almost constant, planes that barely fly, ships that cant be put to sea, minus the two new types of ships we have. And he never told me, complaints dated 4 years and he kept them from me Tom, its so bad all we have that is capable of full active combat is the..." he picked up a paper a and looked at a highlighted part, " 11th Airborne division, 2nd fleet, and 497th Armored(OOC: SECRET ). And even then Tom, they cant be deployed for longer time than 2 months before we would get a report from a commander, and he kept them from me to save money for himself!"
The prime minister sat down, Tom did not know what to say, he knew Alex for a very long time and knew he was proud of his family's military past. " We must replace that stuff as soon as possible, but it must be from outside of the country, my reports are that the equipment at the plants will only be operational in two months, and even then it will be a long time until we could make our own equipment."
Alex looked back, he was tired and felt ill, "Take care of it Tom."
Tom tipped his head and returned to his office to begin, he knew the pounding he took for hiring someone as incompitant as Daniels for Defence Minister. The term "Disowned Military" was a term not only to the party but to Alex himself, even tho his party had a majority of military retiaries, if this problem was not ratified soon, the whole party could abandon Alex.
