The NNS Profit sat idle inside the ship dock inside the Neoman battle station Grizzly. The retrofitting of Kirisuban science equipment had been a remarkable success. The new NNS Profit was a marriage between Neoman dedication and Kirisuban science.

The Caption sat at his chair inside the Profit with a small smile on his face, the crew of this vessel would go down in history as the explorers of a Quasar. He was looking at all the action outside inside the ship dock. Ships coming and going, the workers hurrying around like busy bees, it was actually quite remarkable.

All there was to do now was to wait for the Kirisubans to come and then they could get on with it.

OOC: I took some things for granted like just saying that the ship was retrofitted with Kirisuban tech. hope you don’t mind :D

The NKES Yokozuna cruised into the star system with a few extra crew women on board.

Commander Arisu Nakajima, Lt Kaede Koizumi and CPO Mariko Satsumo were going to be part of the NNS Profit's crew for the duration of the mission and they were packed and ready to go.

All of them were scientists except for Mariko who was an engineer and they were ready to transport.

The comms officer sent a message to Grizzy Station asking for permission to transport their passengers aboard.

A few seconds later they appeared as three women wearing the normal red and black uniform of the Kirisuban exploration fleet. They also had a plasma pistol and a shoulder bag each.

A young man with a holstered pistol walked up to the women. "Sergeant Nickolas Stryker, I'm the security detail on this little field trip," He smiled politely at them

He turned behind him and walked to the NNS Profit. The cargo lift was already down as Sgt Stryker had the women stand on the lift and then they were taken into the bowls of the ship. The sound of Heavy metal music drifted into the cargo hold.

They took a hallway that was mostly empty except for when they reached about halfway down a pair of legs were sticking out of an access hatch. A boom box to the left and a toolbox to the right.

"Common you son of a..." The man said as the sound of an air drill covered his obscenity.

Sgt. Stryker tapped the mans leg with his boot. and the Air drill stopped. The man used his legs to pull him out of the access hatch his back on a creeper. He had dirty blond hair and had on oil smudge on his cheek.

He looked at Sgt. Stryker his eyes showing innocent. he reached out and turned down the boom box. "You know... I'm working on a coupling to the power supply and if I messed it up i could fry the whole ship not including lighting myself up like a light bulb."

Sgt. Stryker shrugged as the mans eyes drifted to the Kirisubans. He smiled and stood up wiping his oily hands against his dull blue cover alls.

"The power coupling is replaced, I'm going to start on the engines feed inhibitor in the piloting console," He said.

Maxwell was working on the engines feed inhibitor, he was humming a song. There was an electrical crack Maxwell was put on his butt shaking his hands vigorasly.

"Ow," He said before continuing his work

"Mariko, see if Maxwell needs a hand" Arisu whispered to her engineer as the ship moved gracefully on its way to the quasar.

"I had to upgrade the power feeds from the engines to increase the Shields over all strength. But now it seems that every power connection is breaking." He said.

She was soon able to show Maxwell on the scanner screen the way the energy was flowing and where it was going to as well as where it was shorting.

"We need to go to the engine room to solve this problem" she advised Maxwell.

Mariko strode over to the reactor in her usual tunic and trousers uniform and activated her tricorder.

"We need to change the timings on the power regulators. The energy is being released too fast but we can set up a buffer that will hold it so the energy will be released more slowly but safely" she said to Maxwell

Maxwell nodded "Seems good," he thoguht for a moment. "The buffer we could use is simple power restricter. But we would have to shut the main reactor down." He said as rubbed his chin.

"I doubt your Captain would like that option" Mariko replied "but he seems reasonable enough to consider it.

He walked over to the wall and picked up comm that was plugged into the wall.

"This is Maxwell, were going to be working on the reactor in a few moments so don't piss yourself when the lights go out," He said giving Mariko a sly smile before hanging up.

Maxwell nodded and took out a small PDA, He took three wires from the top and inserted them into the reactor. He mumbled somethign and pushed a few buttons and waited.

"Did it work?" He asked Mariko
