The Communist Palace, Shanghai, The People's Republic of Asian China

The president and chairman of the Asian Chinese Communist Party (ACCP), Hu Jintao, and his right hand Zhao Ziyang (General Secretary of the ACCP) sat down and discussed important internal matters. Suddenly Hu Jintao rose up and said:

"Now we're having other things to deal with. We must begin the western campaign right now. We must bring order back to the southwestern parts of Old China as soon as possible. It's a tiny population but it's a very large area. They have been unorganized for too long now. We must bring back law and order to the forgotten corner of Old China. Zhao, you're being responsible for this campaign. The plan is done since a couple of weeks." ordered Hu Jintao.

"Okay, I will not make you disappointed, Jintao. We're having the best men, and with the new T-90 tanks they'll have no chance at all! I'll order the tanks to roll immediately!" answered Zhao Ziyang.

"Very great, Zhao. And I suggest that you bring in the planes as a first attack."

Three hours after the meeting, the first planes flew across the border to SW China, from Sichuan to Tibet A.R. The planes in use were a mix of bombers, attackers and fighters (H5+H6, JH-7+Q5 and J-11+J-10).
The tanks, both T-90 tanks and Chinese Type 85/96+Type 98/99 drove mostly by the two main roads connecting the two Shengs.

OOC 1: The T-90 tanks arrived at the port in Shanghai, and then they were transported by train to the western parts of Asian China. Asian China has bought 500 T-90 tanks from Great Romeo.

OOC 2: As you can see, there are really not many inhabitants in SW China, not compared to the eastern parts. In the Tibet region there are 2.7 million inhabitants, and Tibet is far the biggest region in SW China. In the eastern regions, there are plenty of cities with much bigger populations (just to compare)...

News-update from the front in SW China to the Communist Palace:

The tanks along the two main roads are meeting heavy resistance now and then. After five days a total of about fifty tanks and around 2-300 men has been lost. But the front is steadily moving westwards and we're counting on reaching the capital Lhasa in a couple of days. Reinforcements from Asian China continue to secure the eastern parts of SW China behind the front.

Recon-flights around Lhasa have been made (with HZ-5 and JZ-8), and we believe we've found some serious defense installations. One JZ-8 was shot down around ten miles south of Lhasa, and we don't know if the pilot did make it or not. We will send a rescue unit to the area as soon as possible.

The roads leading northwards from Riwoque and Amdo have been destroyed by carpet bombings. We're building a temporary base outside Nyingchi were we have made a temporary airstrip available to our supply planes. There is no chance we can land our new large Antonov-planes, but our medium sized transport planes will make it without trouble.

A large breakthrough was made yesterday in the campaign in Tibet AR, SW China. The troops are going towards the capital Lhasa from three different directions, and the city will be surrounded within a couple of days. A large battle was fought around the city Wusum by the Yarlung Zangbo River, and reports states that Asian China lost more than 1,000 soldiers.

The eastern parts of Tibet AR are now under Asian Chinese control, and only minor disturbances is reported there. Flight patrols are continuously made over the western parts of Tibet AR, and dogfights are fairly common. Around 15-20 planes have been lost in the war so far.

News from The Asian China - Tibet War
The troops on the southern front against Lhasa reached Lhasa Gonggar Airport. The airport was heavy defended, and very great losses were taken for both sides. Asian China lost around 10,000 men, while the Tibetans lost around 8,000 men, but that was all men they had around the airport.

It took two days to make the airport operable again, and with the airport in Asian Chinese hands we could airlift in large amount of soldiers and materials.

The reports from the northern front are undetailed, but they're reporting that they're having the situation under control, and are ready to enter Lhasa whenever the other two fronts are ready.

The eastern front against Lhasa are waiting for their orders to enter the capital. It seems like the problems was in the southern front, and the explanation to that is the heavy defended airport. With that problem out of the way, the invasion of Lhasa can begin.

News from The Asian China - Tibet War

After heavy fights and large losses for both sides the capital Lhasa today was captured by Asian China. The former government of Tibet A.R. has not made any statement, and nobody knows where they are, or what has happened to them.

Asian China has flown in a very large amount of troops to the Lhasa Gonggar Airport. There were no problems for the large Antonov airplanes to land, because the runway on Lhasa Gonggar Airport is the longest one in China with a 4,000-meter long airstrip.

Asian China has air superiority above all the Tibet A.R. Some Tibetan planes are in the air, but not so many that they can do large damage.

Losses the last days (KIA and MIA):
Asian China 15,300
Tibet A.R. 7,900

News from The Asian China - Tibet War

A fairly large amount of cluster-bombs was used today outside Lhasa.

The Tibetans made a counter attack at the Asian Chinese holdings north of Lhasa, which resulted in around 1,500 dead Asian Chinese soldiers. The attack came from areas to the west of Lhasa, where the Tibetans still control the area.

General Dong Fangzhuo, responsible for the capture of Lhasa, decided to use cluster bombs to make an end to the strong Tibetan holdings west of Lhasa. Five H-6 bombers set of towards the area, and air-dropped between 10 to 15 cluster bombs above the Tibetans soldiers.

We don't know how many Tibetans were killed today, but we esteem somewhere around four to five thousand soldiers.

The latest reports from the Tibet A.R. shows that the resistance is decreasing all over the country. The only area not under control by Asian China is the northern 10% from a line through Banggong lake – Mt. Chagdo Kongri – (the city of) Mani. Small pockets of resistance groups are still found now and then outside the capital Lhasa.
In the eastern part, from Lhasa and eastwards the life for the Chinese people slowly are moving back to what it was pre-war. The Lhasa airport is now open for domestic flights, and international flights to neighboring countries are scheduled to begin next month.

News from The Asian China - Tibet War

General Dong Fangzhuo today declared Tiber A.R. as a safe part of Asian China. The People's Liberation Army now controls the last northern 10% of the country. The Tibet A.R. will be renamed to Tibet Sheng, and the Sheng's province capital will, of course, be Lhasa.
General Dong Fangzhuo has made a statement to Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, that they can declare Tibet Sheng as the 16th province of Asian China.

The PLA will continue to patrol the western and northern parts of Tibet Sheng, just to make sure that no resistance or guerilla groups are formed. The borders of Tibet Sheng will continue to be closed, with exception for the eastern border towards the original Asian China.
