late 2008: Hugo Chavez, at the peak of his presidential career in venezuela, declares himself the fixed leader of the nation and disbands elections
2009: small pockets of rebels spring up, mostly in the rural southern state of Bolivar
late 2010: Under "mysterious" circumstances, Chaves is killed when his plane goes down over the carribean sea on a visit to cuba. it is believed to be the work of rebels or possibly the CIA
2011: after a brief scramble for power after the death of Chaves, a slightly more leftist leader by the name of Raul Jose de la Caracone takes power backed by the military.
2012: due to increased rebel activity, de la Caracone declares martial law and forms the Special Seguridad Policia (SSP) to quell the uprisings. they are allowed to use ANY means necessary to stop the rebels.
2014:After the Communist breakup in Cuba, Venezuela gladly accepts the fleeing communist officials and soldiers
2016-19: The "Three Years of Cleansing" commence at the order of de la Caracone where the SSP and military forces hunt down, jail and kill rebels in the rural states, regardless of the international outcry met by the slaughter.
2020: de la Caracone sends aid to Communist Southern Cuba in the form of money and arms
2021: at the request of the communist exiles who remain in the country, more arms are sent to south cuba
2023: after 4 years of tranquility, rebels who fled from the country during the "years of cleansing" return and start an anti-government insurgency
2024: after the shock of the insurgency is overcome, the SSP recruits more members and begins a "year of vengence" against the rebels, a year of random door to door searches, public execution, and extreme propaganda, the rebels are overcome yet again.
