300 Miles North of Stanley...
CNS Shreveport, the Mississippi class Medium carrier, was making fast progress towards the islands. Just south of the river plate estuary, the ship had run into stormy weather which wasn't letting up.
Admiral Jameson swore. The storms weren't settling down until just north of the islands, and it looked like it would be a rough ride.

20 Miles ahead, the helicopter cruiser Potomac, was getting four of it's 8 Bell UH-1s ready to fly to the islands. Each carrying a single squadron, the helicopters took off making a one way journey into the darkening evening sky. It wouldn't be long before the other ships arrived on the islands, but Houston had relayed specific orders for special recon to be carried out prior to occupation.
