Red Tide2

OOC: This is closed to all of those outside the Torontian Occupation. And even then, I would like that the majority of combat stays inbetween me and The Lone Alliance.
And yes, this war has been approved by the TLA and me.

Secret IC: Yesterday...
The thing about the Corporate Dictatorship of Red Tide, is it was so devilishly hard to infiltrate. Infiltrating the lower ranks of the Military and Intellegince-Consortium was impossible, due to the Hallucagenic Control Collar, and it was extremely difficult to get into a high ranking officers position unless you were a native of Red Tide. This meant that most military operations and projects under Red Tide escaped notice of the International Community. Like the ones that are being drawn up now.
it was only 12:00 PM, and Command-Admiral Mikhail Teristovich was already mentally exhausted. He had just spent the entire morning trying to convince the Supreme Commander NOT to go through with the drawing up of plans of an invasion of Northern Alaska. He had failed and been threatened with being relieved for incompetence if he disobeyed, and it was the unwritten law that those who were relieved for incompetence in Red Tide were usually executed.
Command-Admiral Teristovich was commander of the 1st Naval Theatre, the Red Tidean version of, for example, Commander-In-Chief Pacific. Funnily enough, as commander of the 1st Naval Theatre, the Pacific and Indian Oceans was where his area of control fell... and by extension, the control of the Naval Assets tasked to defend the Red Tidean Homeland. He commanded six RAVEN-Class Superdreadnoughts, 8 TSUNAMIS-Class Carriers, those aforementioned ships escorts, and every single transport, logistic ship, and submarine stationed in the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Still under construction, and to be given to his command once it was completed, was a FLAGSHIP-Class Ship, a so called 'Super-Capital' Ship. But that was quite aways away... and would probably stay at port for the operation he was tasked to carry out now.
He surveyed the latest intellegince reports on The Lone Alliances Naval Strength in Alaska... the ones he was supposed to attack. The current plan was to sail three full Battlegroups, two Dreadnought ones and a Carrier one, with transports carrying two full Corps, into the Bering Strait and land somewhere in Western Alaska, pretty far North, but not too far North... of course this would have to take place during Summer. Although the land operation the Army had drawn up probably called for a drive to Anchorage, and then complete annihilation of all The Lone Alliance Land Forces in Alaska, he had overheard the Supreme Commander telling the General in charge of the ground operation something a tad different. That is, if a peace offer from the TLA let Red Tide keep at least 30% of Alaska with access to a port site that would be available all Winter round... do some bargaining and see how much you can get out of them, but if they stick to the offer, take it.
The Command-Admiral rubbed his head, he had gotten a migraine... ah well, he looked over the Naval Plan one last time, then re-checked the intellegince Report on the Lone Alliances Naval forces in the area. He shrugged, and lifted the phone to begin giving the orders.
Regular IC: Today...
The advantage of having a country that has a military forever put on a warfooting is that it takes little to no time too get everything in place to move to their jumping off point. The Battlegroups and the transports they were escorting left their respective ports and began to steam out into the ocean. They started out South of the Red Tidean Island, then turned West, then North once they reached the corner inbetween the Red Tidean South and West Coastlines.
Anybody with a half decent Intellegince Agency would know about the ships, such a formation would be impossible to hide... but wouldnt know where the hell they were going. It would become apparent in a few days they were heading for the Bering Strait, but by that time the Red Tidean Goverment had already released a statement purporting 'Naval Wargames' in the mid-Bering Strait, of course, any decent recon sattelite beyond something from the 50s would spot the transports among the ships. But the official report made no mention of any transports. It would not matter, as it would be a long time before their real course could be plotted.
And yes, this war has been approved by the TLA and me.
