Tveyas Corporation launched!

The Tveyas Corporation

Note: The Tveyas Corporation is a FT entity

It was a proud day. The Tveyas Corporation, employer of over five million citizens, from various nations, had long been a minor player in the mining, and refining, of raw materials. They'd built weapon factories, and, in the doing so, merged five major corporations together, (Tveyas being an acronym), the sixth letter the first letter of the new chairman's name.

Chairman Santano smiled, as he saw the shipyards flash brightly, at his command. The flash, from all of the planet-facing lights, was a signal. A signal to tell him that the orbital shipyards, above an uninhabited world, were ready. They were the first major risk his newly-founded corporation had taken - but he felt it worthwhile. After all, the five corporations all profited from the recent wars, the, and, when merged, had agreed to profit more. And what better way to profit than by selling ships? He had a simplistic plan.

He would sell ships to nations in need - on credit. The Tveyas Corporation had the money to do such a thing, indeed, a corporation capable of employing five million is hardly poor. And then, when the war ended - he would let them pay the money back, with a bit of interest tacked on, for good measure.

He was prepared to begin construction of ships any day now.. but, before that.. he smiled. "Dolz.". The AI inhabiting his room spoke back, reverbating the walls with its voice. "Yes, Chairman. I am aware of your wishes. And, as such, I will begin selling weaponry, ships, and other devices at your earliest convinience."

He rubbed his hands together with uncontained greed. He was going to make a killing.

OOC: As a corporation cannot exist solely on its own, without taking on certain properties that nation-states possess (which, in turn, would invalidate the corporation), I am willing to have Tveyas Corporation employees in your nation. If you wish to have such employees, please post, with the number you would like hired. A maximum of 500,000 employees are hired in each nation, and any nation who's citizens are Tveyas Corporation employees will most likely gain a discount on goods and services - and besides, it's a healthy kick to the economy!

OOC: If you want to build shipyards in one of my home systems I'll give you a workforce. You've got an interesting concept.

OOC:The Federation always welcomes Corporations to set up shop. You can purchase empty space on a forge world to begin your production lines, if you want.

OOC: I like the idea and it seems well though out so I give you a 9.5 overall for this thread as it is one of the most original I have seen is a long while.

The Workers State is always open to foreign investment; and we would also be willing to relieve you of some of the inevitable bureaucratic boondogglery by allowing you to form a division in New Dornalia without submitting to the usual requirement to form a Workers Committee. At the moment, we are at war, but perhaps there is some space for you in Nova Louisiana where you could set up shop.

Before we do anything, we would like to ask, what ship designs do you make? Are they specific to your company? Or can you do foreign models?

"Seven-two-zero-zero-five-one-nine-nine-eight-four-three-six-nine-seven-six-one-one-one-zero...Won't last a week."

The monotonous counting and soft murmurs of world-weary displeasure stopped as file 7200519984369761111 crossed the cold, metallic fingers of the Monotonous Organization Drone, or MOD.

“Well this looks a mite interesting…”

He scanned the file once more; not that he needed to, but for the fact that reading the things was a simple pleasure of his, and one of the only ones he was able to afford in his occupation.

"Tveyas...Nothing special, but if it'll fill my quota..."

The MOD sent the file through its network, with no more thought about the company as it resumed its duties. Someone else could deal with it. They always did.

"Seven-two-zero-zero-five-one-nine-nine-eight-four-three-six-nine-seven-six-one-one-one-two...Blegh."

OOC: For some strange reason this thread wasn't showing up in my subscriptions.. weird. In any case...

So, out of the five million, I think it'll be good to approportion the workers between those who wish for them.

IC: "New Dornalia, eh?". Santano looked somewhat apprehensive. Although his knowledge of galactic geography, and politics was only rudimentary, he didn't know much about this particular state.

"Dolz, get me some information on New Dornalia."

"At once, Chairman. In simplest form, New Dornalia appears to be a communistic state. However, their 'Workers Committe' seems to be an imposition of the state onto corporations - exclusion from this would hardly cut into our profits at all".

Santano smiled. "Allow me to compose a message. Dolz, take a dictation."

"Yes, chairman."

Santano cleared his throat, and began to speak.

"We would be most happy to 'set up shop', so to speak, within New Dornalia. As you are at war, however, we must be able to ascertain the safety of the system you offer for us - is it tucked safely out of the way? Furthermore, as befits a corporation, we do not take part in wars. We will construct ships for you, but we will not take part in any battles in actuality.

In answer to your query, however, we generally only construct Tveyas-approved designs, but when specifically requested, and provided with the schematics for such, we do produce non-corporation ships. However, we do not keep this designs, and will not produce the same sort of ship for any other nation than the designing one.

In reply to your answer, yes, it is very, very safe. It is one of our most remote territories, not easily vulnerable to invasion. So you may produce ships there.

The only thing we ask is that you obey local labor laws, and pay all applicable taxes. That is all.

Ah, wonderful. We will begin hiring employeees, and refitting existing infrastructure (providing such exists), immediately.
