Background:
An elder man ambles into a large room which holds one chair along the wall. Sitting down in it, a small hologram appears on the arm of the chair.
"Welcome sir, I know what you are here to see. It will begin shortly, please make yourself comfortable."
As the old man moves a bit in his chair, a large hologram appears in the centre of the room. It is the flag of Galenor. Suddenly, someone begins to speak about the history of the planet. The man soon become immersed in it.
"Almost 5 years have passed since the war swept over us, that almost destroyed our planet. That war which was so brutal, so terrible, so evil. The Clone Wars.
Before the wars, our planet flourished with life. We were highly advanced, having just discovered hyperspace travel. Many of our scout ships would not return back to us, those that did though, reported planets teeming with life or available for colonization. We were all set to head out to some of the uninhabited planets when they arrived in our space. Stark, triangular ships that sat in the sky as thousands of smaller ones began to drop towards our planet.
Our Consul at the time, Norad Geshi, immediately mobilized our armed forces and sent all the woman, children and elders into the mountains to go to the shelters. He armed some of the male teenagers so that they could defend themselves if they were discovered.
Members of the armed forces frantically dug trenches as the ships began to land on the outskirts of the cities. However, instead of streaming out and attacking us, they came out marching, with a flag carrier carrying a white flag in front of them. Marching in perfect order, they marched into our cities, row upon row of them. They were armoured in white armour with colour markings on them and were led by commanders in robes. We learned later that these were clone troopers and that their commanders were the famed Jedi.
The leader of them all, a Jedi Master, had a hurried discussion with our Consul, pointing to the sky in another direction, we saw thousands more dropships coming in towards the planet. We were told that they wer CIS dropships. They used droids for their armies and would stop at nothing to capture this planet and turn it into a mining world. We accepted the help of the Republic forces and began to prepare for the attack of the CIS forces.
*Hologram begins to slightly break up and message appears on screen*
Sorry, data on the actual battle for this planet is restricted and much of it is lost. Moving forward to aftermath.
"We won, or at least, we managed to survive. For 2 years they pounded our cities and tried to fight their way in. We held them off, barely. Many of our soldiers died and they even found most of our mountain shelters. When they finally left the planet, the Republic forces followed them. As our people gathered, we learned that only 2 Billion of them had survived and our Consul was dead. Many of our cities were nothing more than ruins.
We needed a leader, and that day, one emerged. His name was Revan Altor, a young man of about 20 years old. He organized our people into something that we could be proud of. From the start, he had us move to areas of the planet where there was food, game and water. From there, we began to stockpile food. Meanwhile, speeders, dropships and weapons were scavenged so that men could return to the cities and begin to clean up the rubble. Slowly, the planet began to rebuild. After 6 or 7 years of rebuilding, we finally had our cities back. Revan then called for elections for Consul soon after. He ran and won with a 100% majority as nobody ran against him. He established his government, and using the nav computers he found in the remains of some Republic and CIS ships, sent out scouts to the closest planets. He also sent out several scouts to large planets which produced ships, vehicles and the clone troopers. After several months, ships and soldiers began arriving on the planet. They were to be our defence force.
After our defence force was built, Revan began to rebuild the cities even further, constructing larger and grander cities. He also built underground cities in the mountains which were undetectable by scans. This has led us to where we are today. This story is but a brief version of the true one. The old man stared in silence after a while and then, with a groan, heaved himself to his feet and left the building.
